Such a brilliant Walkway hopefully some locals will place some along it for me to find when I come back to NZ

Extensive search of the area by 4 frustrated cachers failed to find anything.

Had some long periods when no one was in sight . Found nothing. Noted that this cache hasn't be found since the end of September 2010 which swuld suggest that the owners should check this one and confirm that it is in fact still there. If it is not going to be maintained then perhaps it should be archived.
After and extensive search with Cave Weta and Mrs Cave Weta we failed to locate this cache. Reading the logs it has obviously been muggled. In our view it is a waste of time trying to find it.
This walkway has been extended recently. We cycled the whole length of it and back again. Passed dozens and dozens - probably hundreds- using this walkway today. No chance to search on the way out as a family were taking a rest at GZ. However, on the way back, during a break in the almost never ending stream of people, we were able to have a good search but had no luck. Will try again when we are next in the area. Thanks anyway
Nice walkway and interesting to see the amazing expanse of rocks for 'coastal defence'
Cache was very difficult to open, not really a suitable environment for anything metallic I suspect.

Found this cache really easily, it was hiding in the spot I assume is correct but it wasn't attached to anything of "like-mindness" it was just sitting on the ground
Its attachment method has fallen off the cache container.
I sat it back as best I could but requires maintenance to avoid it from blowing away....

Found on my way home to Hamilton after being in New Plymouth for a training course

A stunning afternoon for a stroll along the walkway after looking at the Land Wars exhibition at Puke Ariki (recommended). SL TFTC
Found it, However probably not where it was suppose to be, may have saved the cache from drowning. Have replaced where we think it should and will e-mail owner with details. TFTC.
Found this a week ago with a friend. Went back again with some pliers. Left a note and then took my family there on Saturday. Great cache, good to have a walk on the waterfront.
found the cache was a little hard to find then decided to follow GPS to the last metre. Lid was on too tight to sign the log book will need some pliers or tool.
Found but unable to retrieve log book as lid on very tight. May need pliers for next person
found but couldn't get it open to sign the log... returned it where we found it... logging Cowcocky and his dog to track miles... TFTC
My first time in Taranaki and what stunning landscapes. A beautiful sunset tonight on this lovely walkway - I wish I was here in summer to explore it the whole way. TFTC #1231
In town for grandma's 90th birthday, what an awesome walkway. What no pen? TFTC.
Easy find. Retrieved between muggles using the walkway on a glorious day in the Naki. TFTC
New log in cache ...... big thanks to the Southern Augurs for popping down to sort this out for me.
Go and enjoy the Walkway, and find a cache or two as well

Came from the wrong altitude first.
Walk was a bit longer as I first thought, but never the less an enjoyable one.
Observed a nice Tasman sunset (see pic)

After previous misfortunes with nano's we are now well versed in these and had no trouble finding this little one.
Lovely spot, TFTC!
Took along the family to experience geocaching while we were visiting NP and they loved it.

Well, found this cache without any problems and there were not many muggles around. But.....I could not open this little bastard...[:(!] I gave up after five minutes but hope that the images I did from it and the location are enough evidence that I really found it. Thanks
Tried to get this one from the road above first.
Thankfully we found the beautiful walkway. Wee man came up with the find.

Found on an evening cycle along the walkway.. wow muggle city hardest part was getting a gap in the traffic to search K found her shoelaces needed to be tied TFTC.
Went a bit later in the day as it is a busy place! Beautiful facility for NP. TFTC.
There were lots of walkers and cyclists enjoying a bright, sunny New Year's morning - had to be patient and wait for quiet moments to find and return the cache. We enjoyed our stroll too, TFTC.
We were parked up by the boat-ramp at the western end of the coastal walkway. It was an enjoyable walk to the wind wand on the way to this cache. The walkway is a lovely and well thought-out facility and I understand it will extend to Bell Block in the early part of 2010.
Found the cache ok. Had a scary moment when part of the cache fell from where we had sat it whilst logging the cache.... TFTC.

Easy find while biking off Christmas excess with some of the family, lots of muggles out doing the same thing. TFTC SL
Out walking off the Xmas lunch with fellow family cachers. Spectacular walkway. Really enjoyed the walk. Found quickly. SL. TFTC.
It's amazing what can be a cache. Out for the day enjoying more of New Plymouths walkways, with Darby&Joan, made shortwork of this one. GPS spot on. The coastal walkway is a great place to walk off xmas lunch.

Nice easy find,no muggles around helped, sea tad grumpy today! TFTC Cheers Muzy Man!
nice easy find with muzy man been fooled by these ones before but not this time! cheers
First cache hunt for the day, and in amongst all the muggles, wasn't able to find it. I did sacrifice a favourite pen to the rocks below though. Hopefully this will make it easier to find the cache next time. Cheers Gav
Signed the log sheet at place 12. Just after finding, a heavy shower of rain came through - got very wet on the way back to the car. TFTC
Obvious area, a bit more work required to locate. Quite windy so minimum of muggles around.
No muggles at the time, but lots of walkers and bikers using this great asset. Log-sheet back in lid as requested Thanks for the fun.

Decided to leave this walkway till the afternoon as it was closed in the morning due to 7 metres swells, but as luck would have it, it was open again this afternoon, found easily after a short walk cool walkway, TFTC TNLNSL (1038)
I am reliably informed that this one is back in place...............go and find it
Sorry this is still out of action waiting for Young Grampie to have his Knee Op as soon as he is back in action I'll send him out
Have marked the Wandering Emu GC as missing....This cache is too small to fit any coins. Not sure where it was left
Went to check on cache today and it has actually gone.......if someone has it please put it back so others can enjoy the game.......
Like the previous logger I also found the cache but was unable to open the container to record my find.
we tried in vain to open this container and concluded it was meant to be found but didn't have a log.It was the first of this kind we'd seen but they soon became familiar and easier to open.
A quick business trip and a morning walk revealed the cache, but difficult to open cache. Surprising amount of walkers given the weather. TFTC
Was introducing a friendly muggle to this sport so bit disappointed we missed it. Enjoyed the glorious view and sunset while wandering to another nearby cache but missed that one also! We were in a slight rush though.

Hired the four seater bicycle.. The Crystal and Jaguar halves did the hard work whilst the Fast and Fairy parts sat in the front waiting to crash into a pillar, or go off the side of the path.. Loads of fun here and stopped at this point to sign the log.. Easy to open, log and put back.. Thanks for the cache..
What a great little geocache. Forgot to take a pen but would have been number 10 to fill in the log but we will go back one day real soon and sign the tiny little log.
Our first New Zealand Cache!! What a beautiful place to walk along to begin our visit to this amazing country. We didn't sign the log though, for fear we wouldn't get it back inside.. Next time we are walking, we will leave a something nearby that we brought from Canada. TFTC from the Canadians!
Great little nano on an awesome asset for New Plymouth city - lots of people about for the WOMAD weekend
Lots of people out walking, biking and rollerblading the walkway. Nice spot when the wind is not blowing. TFTC
teeny tiny cache awesome little log book, we had fun getting it out and writing on it, took nothing left nothing, TFTC
Red flying solo, in town to show her Mother and Sister from Holland around.
0Paco0 and the Cache-dogs lonely at home in Palmy
Rellies now completely hooked on geocaching! Lots of muggles around - but it's not half as suspicious when you're talking a strange language, Red says.
She also says TFTC.
And tomorrow she'll be home again, dogs!

We picked a nice time to do this one, it was just on dark and the walkway lights were on. Lovely views of the city and port lights.
A quick find without even using the torch. Took longer to get the logbook out! TFTC and the lovely evening stroll, this really is a wonderful walkway.

TFTC - this is an excellant cache, very well hidden. Awsome views, watch out for passers by.
Yipee FTF. Looking at the newest listings and saw this one for New Plymouth. Couldn't believe our luck. Off down the walkway at 6.30pm before a meeting at 7pm.... FTF's take precedence over most things Signed the teeny tiny log. TFTC
