at 11:35. Its GONE!! It was there 24 days ago. Since then all the subsidiary trunks which surrounded and hid the cache have been sawn away leaving just the main trunk. The bees are still there but not so well hidden. We found no sign of the cache.
The first cache we ever found (Geebong) and the first we hid (this one) both found to be gone on the same maintenance walk. This one has lasted just under 4 years and has had an interesting history with magpie attacks, hovering bees and lost and found TBs.

Just checking in again with new TB'S coming from Bali. Thanks Bill and Cyndi.
This park is right behind my mum's house where we stayed overnight before flying out to Bali. Visited my TB collection before taking them to Bali for a holiday. Cheers, coral.sea.cat
Wandered in here expecting to get bombarded.
Not one magpie did I see.
Not like that other park I visit , they are everywhere.
Got to GZ, and there was alot of bees in a hive above GZ.
Grabbed the cache.
Signed the log and returned the cache and backed out fast as did not want to get stung.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks BillnCyndi

I understand why this is called "Magpie Domain"
We were swooped several times, Mr Parko assured me, if I put my sunglasses on the back of my head, they would leave me alone (I am not so sure)
Lovely walk and cache found quickly. Thanks billncyndi

Got it! But it looks like the bees found it before me. Shame they can't log their find and move on... TFTC
I was on a small caching mission today, all focused upon heading to my favourite sushi shop at Chermside.
I think the COs may need to change the cache name to Honey Bee domain.......??? It was a lovely walk up to the cache, but then as I came closer to GZ I noticed a lot of flying movement. I didn't think much of it until I had found the cache...... then also the huge bees nest just above the cache. Sneaky ninja work was needed to pull the goodies from the danger area. But all is well as I AM part ninja. That's right, you have never seen me before have you???

Nice area and good short walk. Found cache - and BEES everywhere! I carefully picked up cache and signed log. Returned to site, but care will be required until the bees move along. TFTC
Found on the way home to complete the series before finding the back to school cache, HOWEVER.... the code is not in or on the cache! We looked around for the final clue but to no avail. tftc BillnCyndi
Magpie Domain is not one of the Old Kedron series and does not contain a code. It did once temporarily while Zeeman Waterholes was unavailable.
Oooh... Was a little wary of the bees, but still managed to find the cache fine. TFTC!
12km walk and 2nd of 7 caches.
Plenty of magpies singing away, thankfully not swooping.

I was in the area and decided to make use of a spare hour. GZ easily reached. Magpies and bees in abundance. Had a little search around the bees. Nice hide. Everything dry. TFTC, BillnCyndi.
On a trip to go do some heavy lifting helping family move home. It was soo kind of the council to cut the grass for me, smells so good early in the morning. This area is very open with the neighbours so close and back fences so open.
Arrived at GZ and could hear the bees at work already. In fact i could smell the honey in the air, it was a good feeling.
It would seem that old Hag had forgotten her pen when she signed! As it was entered with bush pen! good job. Cache is in good condition and logbook is dry. The TB is not in the Cache, not sure if someone picked it up.

Well !!! decided to go round the back street because it would be closer - only to find that i had to cross the creek - so on with the gum boots and off I go - was really steep getting up the other side and full of cobblers pegs.
Found the cache - no trouble with the bees - native bees are harmless - not so muc for the mozzies that wouldn't leave me alone.
decided that i would walk back the long way and yelled to geopoppy to drive back to the main road and pick me up.
the cache that I passed on the way and then had to go back for was another story

had been to this area before during magpie season - not smart... had 5 punctures in my ear and a tetnis shot and doctor glue to fix it... so was kinda worried about going back...
was VERY glad the maggies didn't swoop today and found the cache quickly so i could get back to my car....

Good news and Bad News.
Good news - No magpies today
Bad news - Bees are in season !
Nice hide but a little close for comfort to the bees. Fortunately the mosquitoes kept my mind off the bees. [^]

Picked up some wet shoes finding this one. It certainly was a hive of activity, but the caches neighbours thankfully left me alone. It took me a couple of minutes to find this very well hidden and camoflaged cache.

Find #194. Found 11/02/2012 @1:30:00 PM.
A lovely walk through a park which was unknown to us until today. Had to work out where to park first but got that sorted eventually. Saw one magpie watching us but thankfully no swooping. Cache itself was easily located, quickly signed and returned.

one word for this cache... MOSQUITOS!!! BIG mosquitos, and mud! When barb and i got to the GZ we took a look around and i touched the camo... then kept looking a minute later we had the cache in hand... why didn't i try moving it??
Very wet here today, the creek very swollen (and must have broken it's banks sometime this week) and many, many unavoidable puddles as I walked in from Rowland St. After watching the creek pour along and I walked I was close to GZ. read the description and the prospect of bees did not excite me. Carefully made my way into the obvious spot only to have the daylights scared out of me. Hidden at the base of the tree was about 7 water dragons (trying to keep dry?). After a look around I was sure they were sitting on the cache. Not wanting to disturb them I walked away and will leave it for another day. Bit disappointing but I bet nobody else had seen these dragons here
Nice park, no issues from the maggies. Spotted the cache from the wrong side, so hopefully have returned it to be a little more subtle.
Left Puzzle and took Football Tazo.

3 of 6 for the day.
Ants at Geebong (GCWCQ3) and now bees! The bees dulled my enthusiasm for finding the cache and I was going to give up despite walking quite a distance from the car. Then I spotted the right way to retrieve the cache without disturbing the bees and the logbook was quickly signed.
TFTC (second of yours for the day).

Approached this one with some trepidation as it is magpie season. There were a number of magpies around but they just watched us rather than swooping. However there were bees around GZ but they didn't cause any problems just made us a little wary. Quick find. Cache in good condition. TFTC.
Found with Allrounder & Fore! on a marathon caching day last year - have been terribly slack about getting around to my logs online, so sorry for the lack of detail! TFTC.
Found @ 12:57pm with Fore! and Team Goanna on Day 5, our final day, of our trip to Brisbane to visit Team Goanna
A nice park for a stroll, this was one was easily spotted on approach so we hid it a little better. Thanks for another cache BillnCyndi!

we seem to be finding a few of your caches! thanks! - this one was sitting in the open when I stumbled across it... rehid it as best I could using GPS coordinates - definitely more concealed now than before. This was find #11 for me for the day, from 16 in total. TFTC
Had to cross the creek and got a bit muddy.
Why do you always seem to be of the wrong side of these.
Why do you always seem to be of the wrong side of these.
Glad it wasn't magpie season but did spot a few bees as I was putting it back. No danger though. TFTC
Angle of approach is every so important with this cache, as the sure is infested with bees. Found with Amber-Son, Geo-Son and visiting Geo-Aunty.
Found with Daniel-son, geo-son and geo-sis. Almost ready to search for old school
Took Geo Granny for a walk in the park, this was her first find and she's got the caching bug already. Nice hide. No magpies at the moment but the bees are in evidence. TNLNSL TFTC Cheers, CSCat
Quick find watch out for beehive above cache. tftc

No probs on this one. Interesting parkland, didn't know it was like this at all. thanks
We have today checked this cache and it is fine. A log which said it had been trashed has been deleted as it applied to the wrong cache.

Started heading in the wrong direction, but thankfully turned around and reached GZ. I reluctantly lept in as it started raining and EEWW A TOAD!! I kid you not - right on the cache itself *sigh* So not good for a girlie girl wuss I found the longest stick possible and prodded it a little and FINALLY had my hands on the prize. Took TB! TFTC
LITTLE stinky bill made BIG stinky bill get this one! TFTC

I found this one on my way to another cache which appears to have been destroyed by a lawnmower.
a good find in a typical track of urban green.
I found the beez living above the cache but i manage to dodge them.

=) was great to return to this one , after a DNF in the midst of magpie season last year, been on the radar for a while so very glad to cross this one off the list today , lovely park .... TFTC !! =)
Nice easy find after parking the car a short distance away and walking through the freshly mowed park. TN, Left GC. Thanks BillnCyndi
GPS wasn't responding well due to trees but was able to estimate the spot. Easy to find after that. TFTC!
Quick grab as we made our son wait for a change after he went to the movies. Cache was out in the open so gave ita bit of covering in its hide. TFTC

An easy find.
Bees are still present.
Found a key close-by, may belong to a previous finder, so have put it in the cache. The key has a blue cover.

Man, I thought the last park was wet! This one is the sort of mud that flicks up your entire back as you walk. It was heaps of fun
The reason we could smell honey finally clicked as we reached to the cache. No stingos needed
Cache is safe and dry. TFTC!
Dropped coin, took bug.

The mozzies after recent rain, currently rule this domain.
Saw only one trackable (I think it was the 808 Racer), however as we are new (this was cache number 2) decided to leave it until we did a little reading on trackables - next time!

Took a little while to find as there are a few good hiding spots. No magpies today but a few bees came to investigate. Left 808 Racer. However, Dreamliner TB ZA001 is not in residence.

This was cache # 9 of 14 for the day, on what turned out to be a rather sunny day out caching. I was glad I did not get swooped by Magpies, but I did get swooped by a butcher bird in this park. My thanks to BillnCyndi for the cache.
Damn! Knew I was in the right area when the magpie got me!!! I must have looked like an idiot walking in the park waving a stick above my head! The things we do! TNLN thanks!
Ohh! I just realised I wrote the wrong date in the log...
I must be time warping back to the past...I wrote 04/08/10.

Found on a warm but clear day caching in northern Brisbane.Very few muggles early in the a.m. Thanks to BillnCyndi for the cache.
No magpies today but a curious young butcherbird sat and watched. A dog walking muggle looked at me suspiciously when I parked, walked past me when my head was in a tree and again as I was signing the log. Who was more suspicious looking??? He just seemed to pop up when I wasn't watching - unnerving.
Nice hide and cache is in great condition. TFTC

Luckily there were no magpies about today. As usual, ended up parked in the wrong spot and walked longer than needed by the time we reached GZ. The cache was easily located and the log signed without any problems. TFTC BillnCyndi
No Maggies today, just plenty of fresh air and nobody around today.
