As this offset cache was not popular we have replaced it with traditional cache GC4THK5 Flown Rainbows only a few metres away in the same attractive park.

Unfortunately all we could find today were a handful of blank pages and one page from the log book out in the open. On one side of the page I can make out Alansee, Rebel Acts and Uncle Beebs, the other side of the page has Temingi, jasenjanine and Eco & Rev.
No idea whether the cache is still there but we gave up after picking up the lose pages.
Changing this log to "Found it" with BillnCyndi's permission.

The cache is gone.
We will think a little about what to do. There is some evidence that someone, perhaps chidren playing, are using the spot so just replacing the cache in the same place might not be sensible.
This is a very attractive place deserving a cache. This cache is not popular probably because it involves an offset. We could archive this cache and replace it with a traditional cache nearby. On the other hand there are very few offset caches around these days and some cachers like something different. Comments welcome.
We think Jachna should count their visit as a find as they did the navigation and found what was left of the log and did the right thing by logging it.

Oh, I like my job One of the things I get to do as a private nanny is take the three kids out for a spot of geocaching [^] Master 12 navigated with the GPS to this one then handed it over to Miss almost-8. Master 10 took the phone. We came at this one the long way across the park, and the ground was very soggy underfoot but eventually got to WP1. Here we had a think and a talk about WP's, then headed across to the right spot, plotted our numbers, then found our way to GZ. Here it was a quick find. TFTC, BillnCyndi. Also, thanks for bringing us to this park, as we spent a good hour here playing before heading off to our next cache [^]
We knew we were going to be in the area today, so decided to pick this one up as well. Did all the calculations at home which got us in the right place. Jenn quickly found the cache's hideout, and I went it and grabbed in. Well hidden, in a nice park. Quite a few mozzies around, so we were in and out of there pretty quickly!

We were in the area so we decided to find this cache as well . Matt did some calculations at home so we walked to what we thought is GZ and had a look around. I soon spotted a likely place and Matt found the cache . All is good with the cache . Found with Matt_Eth . TFTH BillnCyndi .
Just on dark I managed to set the offset from the 1st waypoint, and using the light of the IPhone, managed a look in the scrub for the cache. All was in good order, and dry. This was a nice little park that only a select few would k ow of. Thanks for bringing me here. I love a quick Multi...a good one for the geo kids I think.

So the day started and I'm thinking this is probably going to be my first slump day ever. But after managing to get a lot of work done I remembered about this yellow multi cache hidden amongst all the yellow smilies. Before leaving I did the calculations on a map and had the final coordinates .
Still not to sure what the triplets were as I saw many triplets in the area and if it's the one I saw last then I would say it had to be to the east of. Mosquitoes were like crazy in the area but of course the majority would have been completely avoidable if I just went straight to the right spot.
Also saw a white slug with red outlines.

This was our first go and close to home. Only had a smartphone so we couldn't pinpoint the spot but found it after a little searching nearby.
Took a poker chip, left a deck of cards. No witnesses were left alive.

It's rare that I get to go caching on a weekday. The Ekka holiday provided the perfect opportunity to collect the unfound puzzles and other caches that are closest to home. This was number two for the morning.
What a hidden gem this park is! I think I'll be returning with the crookedkids. The lorikeets were out this morning. I was also greeted on the bridge by an Ibis. A nice quick find today. Grabbed the birthday geocoin.
Thanks BillnCyndi.

On a roll around here today, and this park was a great place for a stroll. Saw a few common birds but no lorikeets this time, I'm afraid. A bridge made a very strange noise while I walked across: I was pleased it didn't collapse. I went straight to the right spot but didn't see it, tried a few others then returned to the first place and looked closer. All is well here and I grabbed the Jeep TB with interest and left a geocoin that didn't want to share my company for more than a week: no problem! TFTC once more BnC!
There's a bit of activity around here with kids in the backyard and people walking through the park, but the trees offer some seclusion. So off we set until the geokiddies saw the playground. Off they shot. Oh well, I'll search on my own. found the approx gz and realised that it could be anywhere here. Tried the most obvious place but to no avail. Was about to pull up stumps when, ahh! Camoflage. Grabbed the cache and signed log. Left Jeep Tb. You left a Jeep? I left a Jeep. A Jeep? Yeah, aren't you listening? (One of the most infuriating tv ads for a while) Anyway, I ramble. tftc BillnCyndi
Very wet underfoot in this park so we were dodging wet patches as we moved into the park. Followed the instructions and soon geopartner picked up a cache and signed the log and hid carefully. There were alot of young muggles enjoying the parks facilities but not taking any notice of us. Only birdlife noticeable today was a couple of native ducks, which didn't mind getting wet feet. TNLNSL TFTC Thanks BillnCyndi
=) Really needing to get out of the house today , and a few Multies in my local area was definitely a great excuse to get out and about, this was my 3rd for the afternoon, the park was a little bit busy for a nice Sunday afternoon but this was no problem as the waypoints and cache were a good distance from all the muggles, after reading the description wrong to begin with I found myself marking waypoints and changing to the offset and couldn't figure out why I couldn't find a cache, so sat down took my time to read it properly and boy did I realise I had a serious blonde moment, correct waypoint taken and offset added and the cache was found in good condition with the logbook only a touch damp but very much usable , Great area and nice little Multi ... Thanks BillnCyndi =)
It was a nice day today so barb and I decided to go for a walk to grab some caches i hadn't got. She led the way to where the gps would take me and then i went from there. This was a nice multi though the area was quite muddy. tftc
Yay I found it !
After disappointment last time I was here, I was determined to not leave without a find this afternoon. I thought my attempt would be foiled by muggles walking, muggles playing with their dogs, muggles playing in the playground. Thankfully, all muggles moved on.
Now down to the hunt. I only had my iPhone with me this time because I forgot to pack my GPSr today. But as you, Bill, had advised me I was looking in around-about the right place, just not closely enough, I didn't bother marking or offsetting co-ordinates this time. Besides the co-ordinates the iPhone would've would have been inaccurate anyway. Your advice also indicated I hadn't interpreted the hint correctly so I utilised the iPhone's compass to confirm my understanding of the direction to the poles and commenced my search. "Nope, nothing at these girls", "hmm, I wonder if there are any others", "that looks like a better thinking spot, I'll stand there". "Hey, what's that?" I said to no one in particular. There it is ! Yay!
I think I checked every other place in that area but there last time. I really don't know how I missed it [:o)]. Must have been one of those days and a severe case of cache-blindness. I actually think your camouflage job was too good and it outsmarted me. Well done (though that's not that hard when it comes to Geocaching).
I took "The Key" TB.
TFTC and rewarding find.

Good stuff, BillnCyndi!
I dropped 'The Key' travel bug, so that should encourage others to visit soon!

We checked this morning and it is in place. It is actually partially visible if you know what you're looking for though it's colour makes it hard to see. We have changed the description slightly to make it clearer.

I hope this DNF doesn't set the tone for my year, but it certainy set the tone for my night.
I did however managed to cross 5/1 off my finds per day of year satistic eventually. I finally gave up the hunt for ths cache after an hour of searching, walking back and forth checking that I had the co-ordinates right. I tried the Geocaching app on the iPhone and my Garmin to calculate and navigate to the final location. I thought it was where I'd hide it but it was all in vain as my search revealed no regular sized containers. I've checked my co-ordinates in Google Earth and theat was where I was searching.
My only consoluation is that it appears to have been a while since it was last found so it may have been muggled since. While that wouldn't be good for you, BillnCyndi my pride would be restored and I'd know I don't have a serious case of cache blindness.

Nice to discover this area, we rested in the shade and eventually uncovered the prize. Thanks BillnCyndi.
Second visit to this one, no school children in the park today, so down to business, and the cache was soon found. TFTC
Found after a rather laborious find. I got the right location the first try, but being a true geocacher I ignored my gps and ran around in circles before coming back to the right location.
Found with Geo-Son and Amber-Son.
Found with Geo-Son and Amber-Son.
Started with Daniel-son but geo-son was anxious to go on the swings. Daniel-son nabbed this one while I was at the playground. Nice quiet park to come to with the kids or to relax.
We were looking forward to finding this one but we were unable to locate the cache.
Took us two goes to get the co-ordinates right but with three of us searching the prize eluded us. The birds were nice though, thanks for bringing us to this park BillnCyndi.

I think we found the location, but couldn't spot a cache at all. Then thought we spotted it across the creek as a sneaky twist, but when we got all the way over there it was just a piece of rubber stuck out of the ground. Oh well!
Nice quick litte find and no worries doing the numbers. Mind you there is a local ant swarm taken up residence under the cache container. Probably to escape all the spiders around this one. Grabbed Pepsi Coin and dropped off Tumbleweed GC. TFTC
We sat down to have lunch in this nice little park before finding the feature needed to apply the offset. As we sat we wondered how much water must have been through here... Once the calculations were done we headed towards gz. We let our toddler find this one and wasn't he stoked!! After he checked out the loot we dried out container and replaced plastic bag. Log book was only slightly damp. Left GC Thanks BillnCyndi
We have now checked. The cache was and is in place. We have made it less exposed as it was quite visible.
Went on a last minute hunt with my young assistants. Although it was a soggy day finding the cache was worth the wet shoes and pants. No lorikeets in sight but heard plenty of screeching from the surrounding trees.

This was cache # 6 of 14 for the day, on what turned out to be a rather sunny day out caching. I was lucky enough to see some flying rainbows in this park. My thanks to BillnCyndi for the cache.
Found on a warm but clear day caching in northern Brisbane. I actually managed to work out GZ from home and it was spot on! Thanks to BillnCyndi for the cache.
After finding the appropriate feature in the park and applying the required offset, the GPS put me within 3m of the prize. Signed the log and returned without seeing another soul in the park - and it wasn't even raining there yet. TFTC BillnCyndi

Know this park well so guessed where this one was and had it in my hands in no time. TFTC
I had met the owners of this cache recently at an Event - so I thought I would give this one a go on the way home Read the description and did the calculations. I ended up back where I had started. Used a GPSr before have you Fangsoki?? Started again - same thing. I finally realised my error - I had misread the description. After sorting myself out I finally came up with the correct co-ords and went straight to the beast. It is very well camo'ed at the moment. There were plenty of Rainbow Lorikeets making a racket today. Certainly is a nice little park hidden away. TFTC BillnCyndi - and it was great to meet you both
Found the features no problems. Even managed to do the maths without the aid of a calculator . Quick search in the mulch and the cache was uncovered. Took the Kiwis Travel Bug. Intend to drop them off at the airport to help them on their trip.
After I'd figured out I'd left my brain at home...., found this one with geo-kid and dropped of Kiwi TB - hoping the abundance of Aussie birdlife in this area can help it on it's journey across the seas. Not alot of flying activity at 2pm but I'm pretty sure it gets very noisy around dusk.
Now this had a strangely familiar feel to it - was there another cache in this area before? Or maybe I just had a picnic here one day The cache was quite exposed, but still safe and well, so it's a little better covered now. All the birds must have been elsewhere today, or maybe having their lunch time naps. TFTC! ='.'=
This was a fun one. Found in dwindling light and with soggy feet in the company of Palopinto, NyletaM and Alkzura. TFTC BillnCyndi!
SQUELCH. Not the best caching weather these days! Found with EngPhil, NyletaM, Alkzura & the geokiddies. TFTC

Very quiet in the park this afternoon so a nice easy hunt was ensured for Baroki Scout, VWNuts and I. Found the WP nicely and made the necessary adjustments. I had already suggested to Scout and Nuts where I thought the hiding spot would be, before we calculated GZ and what d'ya know, spot on... VWNuts agreed that it was probably the spot, having hid a cache of his own here... Cache was a nice easy find at GZ...
Cheers BillnCyndi.

Was nice to return to this park today. I used to have a cache here a few years ago. We did the necessary calculations and quickly found the cache about 2m from where I originally had mine hidden. Nice spot

I cheated here. I was researching my day from home in Sydney and was able to fix the location of the final before leaving home. What I couldn't get "right" was the parking so I still got a nice long walk through a beautiful park. No lorikeets today, but several newly fledged magpies.
Took me a while to find this one, wasn't where I thought it would be, but the GPS was right.
Nice little offset multi, thanks Billncyndi.

Not too busy but being school holidays a family walked through and set up a picnic nearby, stealthiness was increased! Took us a while but we came up with the goods. TNLNSL TFTC
We were over this part of town today dropping off the in laws, who were down for a meeting. Decided to show them what geocaching was and this was seemed interesting and wasn't too far off track.
We found what what we were looking for and made the offsets, which took is to a likley location. Anyhow we had 4 adults and 2 kids scramblong through the bush for a while until geoson emerged with the cache. Log signed and swaps made and we were off.

We were surprised to have this lovely park to ourselves this afternoon. We spotted the cache's hiding spot as we approached our calcualted GZ. Cache was found safe and dry but the lid doesn't seem to be closing properly. TFTC
It would be quite nice sitting out on one of those decks and looking out over this lovely park. Found the cache OK. Thanks BillnCyndi
Found cache today in good condition, but not the flying rainbows. I'd say they all ducked for cover from the drizzling rain. A good spot nearby to sit and write in the logbook was very much appreciated.
No swaps.
Thanks for the cache and walk in the park (even if it was raining).

Had done my homework so already had a set of alternate co-ordinates which turned out to be near enough. The park was very quiet this morning. Who said early rises were only for the birds. TFTC
244 - Found easily in good condition at 2:10pm. Nice Multi. No Rainbows around the park today. TFTC BillnCyndi.
Haha - my boss lives right next to this park!! Great puzzle, great location, great cache! Thanks T GC, L TB (required a bit of squishing...)
The air was pretty quite in the park today.
I put in the offset and walked straight to the cache.
Took the Alberta Geocoin and left a Tassy one.

Found at 0902 with Marg. Once we worked out the co-ords the find was easy using the clue. Cache OK and dry. TFTC.
Checked state and added Alberta S Geocoin. Changed hint which was too specific.
I do like the flying rainbows. They are regular visitors to my own back yard in search of the berries on the palm trees
Arriving in this park on the bike today I could hear far more birds than I could see.
Surprisingly there were no rainbows. But that was probably because it was midday. The magpies, peewees and noisy miners were the most vocal and visible residents
I would like to see the Indian Mynas blacklisted though.
They are feral pests and have only become common in Brisbane in the last 5 years or so and will ultimately drive many of the other species out of this and every other park in Brisbane [:o]
On that happy note, TFTC

There was a very yappy little dog in one of the houses near by when I searched for this one but fortunately it couldn't see me at GZ. That fact did not stop it from yapping however! I suspect it is still yapping now
I found the cache with reasonable ease and took the TB and left a Geocoin - TFTC.

Grabbed this cache just in time today. As I put it back and left GZ, a bunch of school kids came strolling through the park. TN/LN/SL.
Out for a morning geocycle and as the closest blip on the GPS to home this cache had to go. What no cache under there anywhere, what could be wrong, has it flown away[? ]
Quick check of the PDA and that's the problem. Looks like lots of other poeple have made my mistake as well
Off to the actual location and a short correction late the cache was in hand. I'm sure I've been here before.

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga at 10:44am. Not too difficult to track down this cache in an area new to us. Some spraying of the reeds has been going on here to clear the waterways. TFTC
Nice little park. It's certainly been cleaned up since the last time I visited.
I got caught out with a couple of the local 'carers'. Thankfully I'd read the cache notes and had an idea of the birds to be found in the area.
Cache found dry and in good condition.
Thanks
