Time to put this to bed.
Hope a local cacher can get some up and running along the Coastal Walkway.

With the iron-man event on there was a lot of traffic, but even after two extensive searches between muggle passes we could not find this one.
No luck today, but so many walkers, joggers, bikers going past we didn't really have time for a good search
We think we searched pretty good all around but it must be hidden to well, just out of the reach of our eyes ...
Trickey find, took two people, one keeping watch for muggles and one hunting!! TFTC!
Took me a while as there were plenty of early morning walks / dogs / jogs going on.
Found during a surprisingly quiet patch in the early morning joggers/walkers. LOVE the NP waterfront area!! TFTC
Found the magnet at GZ and what appears to be the log in a temporary hiding place. Enjoyed the walk along the walkway T4TC.
find number 12 of 13 today on our quest to reach the 500 milestone on my birthday.
A quick find as cache was lying on the ground in the open. Magnetic part doesn't seem to working, so put it in a little hole near where its suppose to be. TFTC

magnetic part wasn't sticking so had to leave cache in a little hidey hole at GZ also log full
Could not find it. Even looked at photos and clues. Left a note where we thought it should be saying we couldn't find it.
What better way to enjoy this magnificent walkway than with a little bit of geocaching. Further up the walkway, a group of people had gathered to look at the large ship on horizon and seals and the bottom. They paid no mind to us as we signed the log and returned the cache unobserved. Very cool. Thanks SkiBums, Young Grampie and Reefy for the cache.
Found the spot without problem, hardest job was picking up and replaceing cache between the steady stream of muggles.
All good in the end. TFTC

Nice break in the weather to explore the walkway. Found the cache eventually.
However, after a scooter tumble we discovered we'd lost the car keys somewhere close to GZ. Back off to the cache site to search with no luck. We had wonderful help from the ladies at the nearby aquatic centre, they even drove us to the locksmith! Then as we were walking into town to get a new key coded the police rang and reported someone had dropped in the key. Thanks to the kind strangers who did the right thing. What an afternoon!

A quick find. found in the first spot I looked only a few muggles and their dogs here this morning. A pleasant spot. SL TFTC
12:40 Parked nearby for what could have been a quick find apart from the constant stream of muggles. Thanks. A great spot. Even managed a photo. Dipped TB'S. Cheers, GC
Back up and running.....thanks to NZWide and Southern Augurs for their help.
You guys rock.

[found on the ground... ] magnet has fallen out, so we put it in 2nd bolt hole from bottom at the back of large post to the right of the seat if you're looking at the seat. [have emailed owner..... TFTC]
This was just down the road from where I was staying, took me three attempts to look for it as this is a very busy area TFTC
I enjoyed the walk to your cache in the other direction so much I decided to double back and go this way. The walkway isn't so well lit (well no lights at all actually) in this direction so I decided to call it quits after this one. I'm very intersted in Lye's work - after seeing the piece on Wellington's waterfront I was inspired to go and see an exhibition of his work at the Suter Gallery in Nelson. I think he really was a man before his time - amazing actually! The magnet and cache have parted company so it was a bit of a mision in the dark to co-join them again. All good in the end but the cache needs a bit of quality glue. TFTC #1282

In town for grandma's 90th birthday, what an awesome walkway. What no pen? TFTC.
Had a nice walk along the walkway. Enjoyed the kiddy slide along the way. Scrambled up the hill with Rumo and Rala, but there were too many people around to make a search. Will have to come back at a later date.
Evening stroll together with the Hopeful #1and a friend along the wonderful Coastal Walkway. Then we missed the way up and had to climb up the cliff at the end of the concrete wall. Luckily there were ropes. Sadly, there were also a lot of youth hanging out 5m next to the cache. No chance. Bummer. Maybe next time - without the climb.

Nice walkway, only walked a little bit.
Quick find in between the high muggle traffic.

Found on the second attempt - there were just too many muggles to allow the necessary searching the first time. Even so this time, before I had a chance to return the cache, a muggle arrived and spent some time doing extensive stretches - I had to fiddle around with my phone until he eventually moved off. TFTC

Nearly had to give up on this one due to a muggle hanging around... frustrating times!! TFTC
Had to go twice for this cache. Lots of muggles around at the first time so I couldn't crawl on the ground for searching.
Second go at doing this one, didnt really no it would be so small. Clever!
windy windy day cool cache, cheers

Met a lovely golden retriever here of 18 months in age.. Easy cache.. Also found another Canadian object nearby... Thanks for the cache..
Never thought I'd say this, but I'm actually starting to enjoy these wee nanos. They're predictable.
Kiwi Nanna braved the muggle hoards and has replaced the cache log......please sign small.
Go and enjoy the walkway

Enjoyed the walk, even if it was blowing and the muggles kept coming. log book was full but managed to squeeze log in.
We were parked up by the boat-ramp at the western end of the coastal walkway. It was an enjoyable walk to this cache on the way to the wind wand and beyond. The walkway s a lovely and well thought-out facility and I understand it will extend to Bell Block in the early part of 2010.
Found the cache ok. Logbook full but Crusaderwoman squeezed it in somewhere. TFTC.

Nice walkway, and first successful find of the day. Wasn't quite expecting a nano here though. Cheers Gav [4627]
[ We seem to be following 'TheWonderStuff' around albeit 19 days later. Late in the day after being interupted by a large number of muggles, on bikes, walking, some with dogs and joggers etc; in the intervening time, found at 1850 NZDT. A nice but cool walk.
Thanks for an interesting note about the walkway. ]

A quick find on a day in New Plymouth. But I had to use my geocaching instincts, the GPSr was pointing me 9m NW of where the cache actually was. Signed log, TFTC and for bringing me to a pleasant spot.
Signed log sheet as finder 27. Raining at the time, but luckily a quick find at GZ. TFTC
There was alot of people about and we felt embarrased, one lady thought I was going to the toilet, spent alot of time waiting for for walkers to pass, gave up. Try again another day.
Easy find with Wilson#41
We initialy found this one yesterday but we forgot to bring a pen.
Luckily the campsite is not far away.

Found co-ords to be very accurate, well done. What a great walkway! Scored a bit of sunshine today, among 9 days of rain while in the area!

We required two visits to grab this one.
Settled down in anticipation of a quick find on our first visit, when a muggle family decided to have their fish ‘n chips right next to us… Returned later after doing a couple of nearby caches… for a easy muggle free find.

Loved the walkway on this sunny and windy day - not many mugglers around.

We love [:x] the wind wand.....
Muggle persisted in staying put as we reached GZ so we gave up and went to Iona Diary for an ice cream along with the rest of the world it seemed on this hot sunny spring day.
Came back to find more muggles so mini-cachers climbed near by tree to waste time until the coast was clear

Entered this into my GPS the day before and it crashed completely. Nettie from the Naki (must be a witch) said it was she had an intense dislike for the wind wand. Having beaten GPS into submission overnight grabbed this as number 4 for the day heading back to kapiti Coastthe next day. Lots of joggers and cyclists at 8am but my right shoelace got another hammering as they passed. TFTCSL
Naki Roadtrip.
So many muggles strolling, cycling, walking their dogs!
Cache-dogs went into 'distraction mode' to give Red and 0paco0 a chance to scope the scene. Nice job, Mrs Ski!
Signed log and off we went!

There was a wether bomb hitting as we snuck this cache in, we had sleet hitting us!, great litlle hide but with numb fingers the log was a mission returning to huge capsle! next day was great tho with great snow coverd mountain! Cheers Muzy Man!
Dark clouds looming over the sea. Took a rest and found it quickly, the usual struggle to get it out and put it back, fingers aren't so nimble anymore. Raindrops just starting to fall as we hurried back to the car. Lovely view from here. TFTC on Mothers Day.
