Called in here more out of curiosity, than cache chasing. Apart from the log by A- und B-Hörnchen on 19/4/2014, this cache has been marked as DNF since 1/1/2013. I doubt that A- und B-Hörnchen really found it, as the area has been cleared, and his logs are just copy/paste from previous logs and a few of their logs have been into areas that have been closed for a while.
Thinking this one should be archived.

Thought we might have some luck finding this one after the recent find, but apparently no luck here today
Had no luck at this one. Could see the likely location that this cache might have been attached to, but nothing could be found.
On our way from Perth to Darwin we saw many great things and places - many of them thanks to geocaching! We thank the owners for sharing their favorite spots with us by hiding their caches!
We were late and had little time to search. My guess is it might be gone.
This is week 5 of our 7 week Outback adventure and the last day of the 3 week section following the Rileys Through the Red Center as the 18 cars to complete the trip will be escorted into Darwin after lunch ending the epic trip at the historic QANTAS hanger. They ranged in age from 1928 to 1967.

We didn't find this one and I'm guessing that it was located on a very solid looking metal gate which has now been removed and is lying in the scrub on the side of the road. If it's still there please let me know as we would be keen to have another look.
A search of the site found nothing - but there appeared to be signs of heavy machinery having been about - so we assumed that the cache might be under heaps of earth and gravel.
Heazle1 I like the Cache an every day item lovey country up here heat fantastic to when your from tas tftc
This was my second attempt at this one.... I'm sure looked there last time!!
Good container. TFTC.

That is some gate! Thought that I had scratched the car here but found out a week later that I hadn't. It would take too long...... Cache was found easily thanks.
Looked and looked. Finally found it on the ground. That is a different type of cache. Put it back where I think its supposed to be.
A quick find on a very solid structure. Never seen one of these used as a cache container before but they're quite effective. Thanks.
Found cache on the ground near GZ. Replaced log which was completely destroyed and placed back where we thought it belonged. TNLN. TFTC.
Quick find for us today, as it was on the ground. Replaced it in the only place it would fit. Log book is wet and was hard to reinsert. Interesting location.

Size and colour doesn't match the description?

A bit spooky here because there is a brand new car ditched nearby...the boot was up, tyres were still there, a window was down and everything looked fine inside the car but where was the owner of the car or was it stolen?? Took us a while before Mr Bushies2 found the sneaky hide. Thanks Trudders.
Took us a bit to find this one! We were stumbling around turning over every rock and old tyre we could find. Eventually checked the log notes and our focus changed. Nice little hide that's for sure, my first micro. TFTC
Found this one together with Triaden1 - the log is for both .
Okay - there was only one place where it could be and after that it is not too difficult to find this one . Thanks for the cache .

Found at 2.10pm GAFF2. We were in a quandary trying to work this one out. We thought that the only place it could be was too far away from GZ - 8 metres out - so we ignored that area for a while. However we eventually had to look at that location more thoroughly and a container that is not what is mentioned in the cache page magically appeared.

Found after a bit of a hunt My GPS took me 7 8 mtrs away. A very cunning cache havent seen one like it before. Log is very tatty and needs replacing. TFTC Garnets
Good hide and fairly easy find - as previous logs have said this cache is in need of some TLC Thanks Trudders for bringing us here... we were amazed at the size of the gate
Coords. are bit out but the suggested alternatives pushed me back to the more logical location. Eventually found but then the struggle began to open it as it was jammed by the log sheet. Finally signed it and replaced it - needs some maintenance. TFTC.
great easy drive by, as previous log, the cache is hard to get back into place, but got there. TFTC.
Find number 3 for the day, and find number 271 on the twentysecond day of our month long trip to Warwick, Lightning Ridge, Boulia, Plenty Highway, Alice Springs, Ayres Rock, Darwin, and home. Found at 1330hrs Qld time.
Its been a little while between drinks for this one, and it shows. Log has swelled with the rain and humidity, and is near impossible to get back into the cache without damage.
Cheers

On our way from Betrice Visitor Center to Litchfield National Park. What we found was brown and silver...
It tooks a bit of looking but I found it eventually after about 10 minutes looking everwhere but there. Made some running repairs so it doesn't fall into the same lost state as it previous incarnation. TY Trudders and Liz and Bruce.

This, my second visit, was more successful after L & B replaced the cache and - after a suggestion to me by the trustworthy landlockedsailoress - it was in hand in short order. A pretty novel container, too! certainly not the blue and silver container described above.
I'm not sure the original co-ordinates were spot on - here's my take: S12 35.731 E 131 11.732.
Remember, folks - it's mightier than the sword. Thanks to Trudders (Brenton) and Liz & Bruce

driving down the highway today, saw this pop up on the GPS and had a look.
I found a melted thing that could have been it, but not sure
It has been a long time since it was found. time to archive

Also could not find after an extensive search, this should be disabled until its existence can be verified.
This cache has not been found in nearly a year.
It certainly needs to be looked at and either fixed or archived?

I add another DNF to the list but wonder if it still there, just well hidden.
Certainly many caches hidden in the Top End have to face events most down south don't experience... regular fires and flooding!

If this one is still there it is exccedingly well hidden.
My guess is that after so many DNF it is no longer there.

I think I may have found the melted remains. But then maybe i didn't look in the right place.
Searched all over for this one, alas not to be found. It has been a while since the last find, maybe it has gone!

WanderingAus wandered by on day 32 of a "climatic refugee" trip and made a fairly easy GAFF 1 find, then spent 10 minutes trying to retrieve the container. Luckily I had various items in the kit that assisted in the retrieval, and after signing the log I adjusted the hide to prevent it's irretrievable loss.
My find No 1524, TNLNSL.

These are great little containers. We put some extra packing into the hide to make extraction a little easier.

TFTC. Recently burned off. Thought it may be lost. Found the friggin thing after some scratching around and had to dig it out. Hopefully it won't sink again.... There's a red herring in there somewhere...
Took about 5 minutes to find it. Lucky the coords were almost spot on. Bloody micro caches, but rewarded with a sense of achievement on finding it. TFTC Trudders.
The Ink on Groboz's entry must have been still wet and the tyre tracks still fresh when we got this.
Amazingly not a hard find. It just looked like it should be there.
Brilliant spot thanks.

Went out on a wet day to find this one in the company of NTSTROM . Looked at the radar before we left and it looked like it was clearing but no way it got wetter and wetter and so did we. Signed the log in the car to keep the log dry. Thanks for the cache and the hunt.
Went out on a very wet wet wet day to find this one in the company of Gibbo. Upon arrival at GZ it was absolutely pouring with rain. Armed with umbrella's both of us had a good look around for the cache. The umbrella's, by the way, were of no use as the rain was coming down almost horizontally. So after about 5 minutes of splashing through the mud and getting soaked we eventually found this sneaky little cache. We took it back to the car to sign the log so it didnt get wet. Thanks for the top cache Brenton and the adventure. Logging this as a co-FTF with Gibbo.
