Popped up to check on this. No sign of the cache. Found the tree trytofind was talking about (from memory that *wasn't* where it was, but the replacement may well be ).
Just need to camo a container & get it back up here.

Found a tree that would be perfect for this but couldn't find. Started looking a bit far off the track.
Out for a rock climb, why not find the cache?! Lovely bit of bush, pretty rare to find anything like it in the port hills. TFTC
On the way to Christchurch we made a stop at this beautiful location. Cool road round the Cooper's knob.
TFTC!

A long day out for SullyMum and the two boys. A drive across the port hills from Gebbies Pass to Sumner beach, with a lunch stop in Lyttelton. 13 Caches and an Adventure Lab, probably makes it the most productive day we’ve had in a while (if ever). Waiting for SullyDad to get home from his summer in Antarctica - due to land back in Chch in the middle of the night.
Stop 5 of the day. A quick dash down from the car.

I thought I might as well make the most of my day off so went up the port hills for a walk. Thanks
Welcome relief after I got lost at the end of Kirk’s Track. Well maintained with cute swaps!
Time to head home but not before a few target caches for my D/T and month hidden grids. Left the City and headed over the Summit Road which for most of the way was under a thick blanket of fog. Didn't take long to find this one with BCD and fog starting to clear TFTC
Another to the city for a searched rescue course...only a one dayer but making a weekend of it ..roped kjr into tagging a long....
Time to head home but not before grabbing a few along the way..bit of a detour over the hill..
Yay finally turning that frown upside down..didnt take log to locate once the phone had settled down tftc

Well success at last had a good look & was just going to leave 1 more look eureka - TFTC
Found on walk up Gibraltar Rock. Found cache out in the open, rehid so it wasn't so exposed. No pen so didn't sign log. Cheers and TFTC.
Going to Gilbratar rock was our goal for today, as we walked we saw the cache from the track, we tried to cover it a bit more as they were many kids on the tracks with curious eyes today. Both container and logbook are in good condition. Thansk for placing this here, the bush is little, but the Fushia were impressive!
With rustynz on a caching adventure to Christchurch. Discovering now that the wrong dates where written in the logs
Loving driving the Summit road, and finding a few caches along the way. Thanks for the hide

With rebel98 on a short trip away to Christchurch. All our dates written in the logs are wrong woops, luckily this online log is the correct date
We have just turned back, and are now travelling back along the Summit road, as we have a plane to catch.
This will be our last find for this geocaching adventure. We stopped at the carpark, as I wanted a picture of this other "Gibraltar" rock.
So with the cache not far away, off down the track, thru this lovely forest. Then just as GZ arrives the area opens up to reveal another side of the rock.
Thanks One-Fang adopted by Rincewind3 for the hide and maintenance, a perfect way to end this amazing day of caching

First bit of post-covid geocaching! Didn't have hand sanitiser so didn't write in the log book this time.
Quick find on a sunset trail run/ramble around the ridge trails. What a beautiful area! TFTC.
CO note: the log is quite wet and decay. I had a hard time signing so I have attached a photo.

After dropping my kids off at the start of the Crater Rim race I headed back to the finish line in Christchurch via a few geocaches. I spent far too long looking hard up against the various trees. Hidden in plain sight type of situation. Nice track to pop down.
Out to complete the caches I didn't manage to knock off. A nice quick find today in a damp track environment the rock disappearing and reappearing often with fog/low cloud coming and going. Also managed to get a cache nearby that hadn't been found for a few years win!!

The last of four caches found today on the loop walk as we head back up to the carpark. A great walk, especially through the native bush sections. We had planned to do a detour over to "the rock" but it was a bit hot and we were a bit tired so... next time... TFTC!
The weather forecast being less than promising we decided to do a series of drive-by caches and short walks rather than our customary Sunday afternoon walks.
We actually managed to get down and up again without slipping on the muddy path! TFTC

Last one for the day. Climb back up to the car park was just as wearing as I expected. TFTC.
Time to grab the caches here in the reserve and as the weather is great it was time to get it done. Quick find here, TFTC
doing a walk up to the summit of coopers knob and decided to do a wee loop around Gibraltar rock afterwards and get some caches along the way.
Out for a walk enjoying the very pleasant day. Fortunately the GPS beeped or we might have walked past this one. TFTC
We had parked up in the nearby parking area and been for a walk and some caching along the Summit Road. Back at the car we decided that we had time for one more cache so we chose this one. It was a quick find. TFTC.
Just not seeing it looked on my way down then again after doing the loop and finding the other 3 in the area
First find of our walk through this beautiful reserve that we had no idea existed. Thank you for making this cache and bringing us to this wonderful place.
Beautiful day to be out, even though chilly in the shade and windy, but still! I dragged a friend along to the GIFF, and then we were keen to be out and about. I picked a route with not too many caches to avoid boring my friend to death I made this one much harder for myself than need be!! Still, not very D1. TFTC!!
During my Geocaching trip at the Summit Road I had of course a stop at this box.
I stopped at the parking space and had a little walk to this and 3 other Caches. Easy and quick find

Found on a dog walk. Neither of us had been in this bush before. Good place for walks, we went on to do a small loop while other friends were rock climbing.
First cache on the walk, grond's relatively dry until here so far.

After a picnic lunch amongst the tussock near the Rock of Gibraltar we decided to find one or two caches around the tracks near the car. We didn't have a lot of time so couldn't go down to the ones further away. We will leave those for another day. So this one was a quick find on our way back to the car. TFTC
doing a part of summit road today. too many hint objects. almost gave up. thanks for the box, rolofant
Heading to Diamond Harbour on a caching, exploring trip. Parked up in the lay by and off down the track. Took a look at a few likely spots at GZ and was about to walk away when I thought, there's a spo I have no checked - and what do ou know, cache was found - TNLNSL. Thanks for the placement One-Fang.
The afternoon had been lovely and sunny but now the mist was rolling in and I had trouble finding this cache the other day so I debated with myself about looking for it. It was only about 100 metres from my car so I off I set down the track. Took me quite a few minutes but I eventually found it. I think that I added a few small toys but can't remember if I did do this.
Found while waiting for friends to turn up for a run in the hills. Took a couple of minutes to track down. Log was a bit damp but still good for signing. TFTC
As Sevren found this cache before but he don't remember we're the cache hide. We are ready to give up and I spotted the cache. tftc
Was with GeoJinx (who really wishes that she still was a muggle) and climbed to the top of the Rock of Gibraltar. Stopped here to admire the views until the crowds arrived - the mountain goat hunterway (barking like mad) his owners and then another 3 couples in short succession. Decided it was time to leave so scaled back down and headed for the cache. Unfortunately didn't have a pen as had not intended to get a cache today (other than the event tonight) so had to resort to taking a photo of the logbook - for the first time! Great area!
Found with N!mrod . Cell phone did not make it easy, but once again illogical thinking worked. TFTC
A great patch of bush here and the rock looks amazing, what a great spot for a cache.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.
Nice cache! We enjoyed the walk and will have to comee back to complete it! Thanks
