We have a large travel bug that we were hoping to drop off here, but it's too big. Dang.
Live Wire 77 and I on a 3408 mile caching vacation through 15 states; CO, NE, IA, MN, WI, IL, KY, MO, AR, TN, MS, LA, TX, OK, and KS. We found 51 traditionals, 51 virtuals, and 1 Earthcache with 3 DNFs. A memorable time, lots of great sights were seen. Thank you to all who placed these caches so we could enjoy the game. sl
Thank you for taking the time and effort to place this cache so we could enjoy the search and its discovery. sl
Greetings from North Carolina! This is my last cache of the day... I started out in Charlotte, flew to Memphis, went to Ripley, TN, then to Jackson, TN, then to Missouri, then to Arkansas, then back to Memphis... whew!!!! 9 caches for me - 8 in new counties, and one in a new state for me.
Thanks for keeping this up and running after the fire, Bulldog Duo!
There were no TBs, but I dropped a pathtag so there is at least one trackable of some kind in there. If you pick it up, please log it at www.pathtags.com.
Nice spot for the cache. I hope the tree lives!

We found this on our way home to Louisiana after dropping off "E" at college in South Bend, IN. We took the Autism Awareness TB to move along to another cache. TFTC!

[blue]Well it was the first weekend of what I'm sure will be many trips from Iowa to Alabama as Jr. begins his freshman year at the University of Alabama. We left on Friday and then got him into his room on Saturday. Then on Sunday, The Bride and I came all the way back with some caching along the way. Overall the trip didn't yield a lot of caches because we were so busy, but on the way home I was able to find one in all 6 six that we travel through and then made a last minute decision to take a detour and go over to Illinois to make it 7 states in one day.
Started out the day going for a couple of FTF's that might be available. Yikes went down this road, still not sure what it was if it was a logging road or what, but let me tell you The Bride was none too happy with me starting our day with this. Worked our way over to Tupelo Mississippi the birthplace of Elvis. Ironically, we were traveling through the weekend of his death 36 years ago. Then off to Memphis...the actual home of Elvis. Did the oldest cache in the state and a couple of others and on we went. Then grabbed one in Arkansas and off to Missouri. Grabbed a couple WIGs and was able to get The Arch. Then one of the biggest decisions on the long day was to detour over to Quincy Illinois to go to an event. That was way cool to meet so many new people. They were extremely nice to wait on me. Their event started at 1pm and I didn't get there until almost 3pm and there had to be still 20 of them hanging around. Started talking and find out that QYC knows Hill Folk....oh I'm so sorry for you QYC. So we gave Mrs. Hill Folk a call while there just to hear what excuse she had for not coming to Quincy to visit today. It's always going to be a classic. Tried my best to recruit others to come to the Kansas City Picnic this weekend as a strong probability that the event will become a MEGA. Then grabbed a couple of others in the Quincy area and started to head to Iowa. One last thing in Quincy...that city is okay in my books when you have one street named OHIO and the very next street named STATE. That folks is brilliant. Found a couple on the way home and stopped to eat.
It was good to get home to see Buckette the lone child now who will get all of our attention...oh lucky her. I'm hoping in future trips to get more caches than I got on this one, but I'm proud of the 7 states in one day. I was able to leave several of my signature [red]bucknuts pencils [blue]in caches. Thanks for all the great caches-signed log.
Oops almost forgot...of all things I leave a big dent in the rental car backing into a light pole in Alabama over the weekend.. Still not sure how I did that but one more thing for me to get in trouble for.

Making a 7 state loop. Started in Alabama and ending in Arkansas. We have enjoyed all the caches we have found. Thanks for placing.
Pulled into the lot and pulled off the shoulder. Had an idea where it was. Some very large black ants were trying to carry the container away. Traded some swag and dropped off 3 tbs to be moved along. Found in the dark too. Had to let our tall son reach this one for us.
Rest in peace Gizmo!

This was another quick find. I had to time my grab, and replacement, with the traffic. Cache is in great shape. TFTC.
