Sorry about that. I've been away too long. The Ray of Sunshine has been trashed and I don't have the ability to recreate it or look after it. cheers to all Franles
It is pretty obvious that this is gone and the owner hasn't been active since the 12th March. Needs archiving
This has been disabled for a while and I was wondering if it could be enabled or archived because it is on my list of closest home that havnt got

Down loaded the cache and found exactly what had been mentioned before. Looking forward to it maybe being re-established. Managed to dodge the golf balls!!!!
Dropped by this morning.
Can confirm that it has vanished without a trace and the hiding place has been torn apart.
Maybe it deteriorated a bit due to rot, but I think it has just been ripped away.
There is similar damage to the opposite side of the location.

Arrived at the location this afternoon and did a search, found nothing.
Returned to Geomobile and checked the clue.
Went back and still nothing.
Sent email to CO with some photos as it appeared that the hiding area had been disturbed.

Found at 16:28 on a day of bicycling and geocaching. Seventh and final find for the day. Kept thinking of some old school music as I searched for this. After this I took the train to Ormond to cut down on a few kilometres of pedalling on the way home. Took the TB. TFTC!
10th of 11 today @ 4.35pm, After a short walk from the previous cache and an excursion through the golf course we found without too much trouble

After quite a while of not caching Cherieboberry and myself have moved to Beaumaris and decided to have a look for some in our new area. This was our first of two on a nice day. We'd walked past this one a couple of times over the last week without knowing there's a cache here

New to the official world of caching but have been involved since 17th of April 2009 (my first cache find). But have only just gotten a log name. Time to log all the wonderful caches that I have been finding since I have been caching with The Empire. My name in the log book is H.
My first caching day for 2010!
Nice easy find! The Empire told me the story of his last trip here and finding kids sitting on the cache being illegal.

Wondered if I'd approached this correctly after crossing a few greens on the way in. Needless to say we found a better way out after locating the cache.

2679. As I wandered past GZ not really concentrating, McPhanKid walked up behind me and asked if the cache had any clues. When I turned to tell him to look first he had a stupid grin on his face and the cache in his hand.

I had 15 minutes to kill before a presentation at the council offices, so went into the back streets and grabbed this one. Thanks.
Found it. Just got into Geocaching and this was my first cache. Didnt leave anything, didnt take anything but did sign the book. Was very well hidden so took us a while to find it.
The GPSr was jumping around a bit as it was rather wet. After 10 minutes of searching I found it close to the point I thought it would be, just looked in the wrong spot.
A few golfers out today, heard the 'bell' they clang when teeing off over the hill. This is another park Sandy loved.

Found with ggkof on our usual Tuesday night caching trip. Last for the evening, took me a while to find as I had old info. Once I had the right coords, off to GZ for a quick find.

The toughest part of this cache was negotiating the street to the Guide Hall when I did. Turns out it was home time at the nearby primary school or preschool, so the street was chocka block with mums and little kids. The golf course was a peaceful destination though, and once I'd figured out which coordinates to use the cache turned up quite rapidly.
Despite the fantastic weather, the golf course seemed quiet, guess they were all off watching Tiger Woods. Speaking of which, I realise he's good at golf, but why is Melbourne so 'Tiger' crazy?
TNLNSL, thanks for the cache Franles,
best wishes,
Wal

I headed off by myself for this one as I had just arrived at the event and everyone else had found it. I checked out the old cemetery near by and dodged the golfers. The spot was well chosen to be out of their sight.

A nice little wander from the nearby event with Robmc, Princess Diala and maccamob. With so many eyes searching the cache was soon located and then we wandered off again talking of all things caching. TFTC
Found by Mary & David at 1750. With Mary at work, David attended the nearby Event solo. This one was close by, so set off in company with The Morris, PrincessDiala and Robmc for a quick find. Our thanks to Franles.

A bit of a tricky cache for me today as the GPS was insistent it was somewhere but a quick check of previous logs indicated where I needed to be and the cache was found in a most logical, but very, very well hidden location.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks Franles for this cache experience today. I feared flying golf balls, but none came my way here today.

We searched everywhere for this one, with no luck. Eventually had to give up, as the mozzies took a liking to the mini-bogans!
First of three planned with new GPS and the whole gang, not a good start as lots of golfers and even more of us! Finally found after excellent retrival skills by JC, logged in book.
Found today-dropping in Snoopy & Woodstock who I discovered in here and hadn't yet been logged. Will send him on his way, he is a well travelled little guy! Unfortunately there was no Chevy TB in the cache.

Not much sunshine today I am afraid. Found on a caching day with Acts2youthgroup. He made the find while I was still looking at the GPS! Thanks Franles.
This was cache # 11 of 42 for the day, in the company of alansee on our Bayside & Mornington Peninsula tour, the cache was found at 10:40. No sign of sunshine today, just gray sky and rain. I always love the smell of pine tress so this was an enjoyable cache, had a view of the cemetery from GZ. My thanks to Franles for the cache.
Found while bringing some scouts up from Geelong to do a first aid course.
Dropped in snoopy TB.
Are these gems easy access for a bunch of scouts to go fossicking, would make a good weekend camp.

Another drive-by on the way to the airport. Starting to expect the larger containers, being the 5th for the afternoon, but still forgot some trades. Signed Log, replaced and enjoyed the area in the 5 seconds we had spare.

dropped by as we were strolling the park on secret caching business (wink wink) and checked on this on the way thru...all good here.
We recognised this park from an earlier caching excursion and, after battling our way past exiting vehicles, drove as far as we could without risking wayward golfballs bouncing off the roof. Cache was quickly found at 4:30pm without utilising alternative coords due to LZZ(f)'s sharp eyes dispensing with niceties. Took "stealth" TB. TFTC

6th find for the day. Yummy pumpkin scones! Looking at the cache container made us hungry... Good spot for a cache and an even better hiding spot; took a moment to figure out. Thanks, Franles.
While walking the dog in this great park, I called in at this cache which I'm sort of babysitting while Franles has flown north for the winter.
All okay, and I took the Sheepish Critter GC to move him along. Now I find that he hasn't been logged in here yet.and still is supposed to be in The Regent.
Oh well, we'll wait a day or two and see if he shows up formally.

Found at 1430. With dark clouds hovering above all day, I needed a little ray of sunshine today. Follow the walking trail adjacent to the golf course, and whilst I was only several meters from a golfing muggle, I went about my business completely unseen.
Thanks.
Thanks.
We found our 1st Franles cache at 4:30pm as the 11th of 15 on our Close Cache Clean-Up West Afternoon. A nice walk in the park. For the 5th time in 11th caches, we had to slow our search due to dog walkers. Thanks for the cache from D, H & A B-A.
Found @1pm and heard a thud behind us immediately. A golf ball landed within 5metres and we scrambled away with the cache. Filled in the log while walking the track a little bit in either direction.
Great hide, nice large tin that fits snuggly in the hide. Great to see parks and paths like these in suburban areas.

We were in Melbourne for the weekend visiting our daughter and saw there was another cache in the park where her dogs love to go for a walk and play. Went to the listed coordinates however they appeared to be some 28m from where GZ was eventually located. The co-ords listed earlier by Landsergruppe and Geodes match ours which are S37 58.097 E145 03.075. TFTC Franles
Coincidentally, I checked the cache yesterday. The coords were spot on.
There are lots of tall trees in the vicinity which my GPSMap 60 CSx doesn't seem to find a problem, but they could come into play, I would imagine, depending on where the satellites are. My old Legend would have had trouble here I'm sure.

No, please leave it. I have arranged with Franles to maintain it for him.
Just waiting for him to make it available again.
I have a cache a couple of hundred metres away in the same park, Cheltenham Pines. It's an easy one for me to baby sit until Franles returns.

I am leaving Melbourne for the winter so cannot care for the Ray of Sunshine. I can't take it with me so will put it to bed till September.
A short walk in the dark to GZ from the car, whereupon I soon found the nicely hidden cache – the container being larger than I had expected. Took "Palimanan, Indonesia" Unite for Diabetes Travel Bug, LN. SL at 9pm. Thanks Franles for the cache - no people encountered during my visit, but I did get startled by a possum, though in hindsight, I'm sure it was probably mutual! Regards, 38degsouth.
Found today whilst enjoying a few caches around this area. Easy find but there were a lot of walkers in the area. We had been to this park plenty of times before to do caches and it is always good to see it from someone else's perspective. TNLNSL Thanks Franles for the cache.
There weren't too many Rays of Sunshine here this morning! I did the first waypoint of Pennydale and then the heavens opened up. While I was sitting in the bus stop out of the rain (on was on the bike), I had a look at this cache. As the rain eased I took a quick detour along near where people were laying around not doing much.
I nearly got bogged in the sand, fortunately I was just pushing the bike.
There were plenty of golfers on the course. What are they , mad! who would go out on a day like today! (except for a cacher, of course )
A quick find close to the original co-ords. What are the other co-ords in the description for?
Thanks, Robmc.

Found by expecttheunexpected on a Thursday morning. This magpie kept on coming up to me. SCARY. TNLN. One of the best places i have seen. Nice spot.
I initially went to the co-ordinates mentioned in the cache text, but when nothing was found there, I moved on to the published co-ordinates where the cache was quickly found. I made no swap, but did leave a geocoin. Thanks for the cache.
I will blame the blonde but I could not figure out just which set of coords the cache was actual meant to be hidden at
The listed ones or the ones in the description?
It was irrelevant in the end as I checked out the hint and found it without any dramas.
The golf course looked very inviting but I was dragging a suitcase not a set of clubs

A quick grab in the morning just before going into hospital for some surgery...great way to start the day. Funny thing about the name...there was a ray of sunshine as I entered the park...followed by a gentle spitting of rain as I approached the cache. Followed by a massive downpour just after shutting the car door!!! I found the cache OK despite my GPS saying I was a good 15m away.
