Decided to spent some time around Otaki picking up some caches. Quick park and grab here as long as you know where to pull off. No problems finding the cache. Interested they there was only one other signature on it! Thanks Yeetrees.
After a bit of a hunt, we foundnd a container lid in an appropriate hole and old pill bottle on the ground - please check to see if cache still there and intact.
Was good to get off SH1 for a couple of minutes as traffic was barely moving. An easy find once I looked in the right spot. Thanks for placing the cache
Good place to stop along the way heading south! The cache took a bit of searching to find, you would not think it has just been relocated there! The vegetation is clinging to it tight! TFTC!!

I must have driven past here hundreds of times not knowing there was a geocache waiting to be discovered. Well today I found it. Well hidden, but where it should have been. Thanks for giving me a reason to stop and enjoy the history of this area.
The last time I had a decent full day’s caching run it was way back on Anzac Day, so it is pretty fitting that’s next is on Armistice Day. I decided to head back to Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt region as even though I attended the recent mega and enjoyed it, I didn’t really enjoy the actual caching as it was more like queuing and waiting your turn for the log book and in some cases not even seeing the container and that isn’t my type of caching.
An early morning start to make the most of what promises to be a great sunny day. I have stopped here on a number of occasion in the past with no luck. Made my way through the long wet grass and today it was a quick find. Go figure. Dropped a trackable to celebrate finally ticking this one off. TFTC

It's been over 4 years since I last tried for this one and after heading past today I decided to give it another go. Nice and easy today and was fairly open in it's hiding place so after signing in and replacing back I added a little natural cachers camo. T F T C yeetrees
Time to garb a few in Levin when passing through and some new ones have sprung up in the few years since I last stopped and cached. All were good easy finds and replaced a sfound. T F T C to all C O s.
On the road nice and early today - before 0600, keen to make some finds before an earlyish return of the hire car and a ride on the roller coaster that was Air NZ on this very windy day! I managed a few as I headed South, and as the weather slowly but surely deteriorated. I got wet, cold and blown around but all good wheh caching and adventuring.
I have a meeting on the North Island that I need to head to so I came over the day before rather than risking the travel on the day option which is often fraught with the danger that the Welly weather gods won't play the game and leave one stranded. So I made it over the ditch in good time to head up for a sociable Indian meal the evening before being planned in the days preceeding. With a little latitude for a couple of leg stretches on the way up to Bulls I targetted some quick stops that would also tick off some other targets.

#5417. I was up at Forest Lakes today as my daughter was staying at the school camp there and I had a stint as parent helper. A good fun day it was. On the way home again and I decided to grab a couple of caches on the way back. I had Damien with me, one of the parent helpers who got his first taste of the murky world of geocaching. The hiding spot seemed fairly obvious and just took a minute to find the best way to approach it. The cache was found in the first place checked. All good here. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the local history lesson Yeetrees.
Driven past this place many times and even visited the miniature train and gardens (called Loco). Nice to know a bit more about the history. TFTC.
Out and about with my boy for a few hours of rare sunshine, this was our last find for the day. Straightforward, with the container and contents dry and in good condition. TFTC
Cache # 3,788 - Having passed this cache for years, I finally took the opportunity today to stop by. Had an hour before my meeting in the area today, so plenty of time to find this. A quick find, and all well with the cache. TNLNSL. TFTC!

Begins our holiday in NZ in Christchurch, we came from Italy to find our son who lives there for two years.
After ten days spent in the 'island of the south stopping at lakes in Dunedin in Oumaru and be returned to Chch, we decided to go north to the island with a flight to Wellington, the idea is to relax a few days between the sea and the beach course cache, unfortunately we will take four days of rain and wind, impossible to take to the beach.
But we'll make with the cache.
They expect historical cache but especially the GC46 one of the few positioned in May 2000 still alive, among other things, the oldest of NZ.
On the way back after the cache on the dunes we stop for some cache
Greetings from Italy

Oops. Parked by the highway and leapt the fence. Oh well at least the long grass wasn't wet. - - - Don't you hate it when you go to a lot of trouble to write a description and people don't get round to reading it . Anyways the cache was soon in hand and the information on the new sign taken in. TFTC .
Thanks for the catch. It was a very crowed walk through the closet of Narnia. We were blocked from our path because of the Grand Canyon, but we hitched a ride with Captain hook. Once a King or Queen of Narnia, always a King or Queen or Narnia.
I had to drop my 6 year old daughter off at her cousins house in Wellington so what better excuse to grab a few caches along the way with out the rest of the family in-tow. Luckily they didn't come as I took six hours to drive what normally would be two hours!
We parked as close to GZ as possible to commence our search. I sent my daughter in first to see if she could find it. I then pointed out the dark object sticking out of the ground and stated that the cache wasn't very well hidden. Turns out it wasn't the cache. Found the real one shortly after.
Thanks for the cache and the smiley.

Another great historic spot that is well worth a stop. Nice quick find too. SL TFTC
#102. Well placed cache beside a sign I have never noticed before, even when visiting Loco with the grandkids! Should have worn my gummies today, as the long grass was a tad wet! Ta for the cache, Yeetrees!
Hadn't realised there was a road parallel to the highway- would've saved jumping the fence. TFTC
Found by UlmusLynx on way home from a day caching in Foxton area. Got back to car as the heavens opened TFTC
Took a minute for the gps to settle and point to the right area. Found with selesi. TFTC
Had to look awhile to find this one. Well covered. Unable to read sign was not taught that language at school. May translate when home. SL TFTC
On our way to Wellington and added a bit of spare time to the journey so we could collect a few caches along the way.
Quickly located and logged.

This cache was one of the many caches we found on our 6 day campervan journey from Tauranga to Lower Hutt via Waihi, Cambridge, New Plymouth and along the west coast to Wanganui and back to the Hutt. A mighty and enjoyable journey which took us to many great and iconic parts of the north island and of course some great geocaches. Many thanks to the many CO's for the great cache placements and for bringing us to so many new places. Sorry about the generic log but 200 plus to log. TFTC
A quick find, even though the trees were rather wet from all the rain last night, TFTC
Found on through trip to Wellington.
Followed geo trail to the concealed area.
All good and dry here.
Cheers

Stopped on the way back from Feilding. Time was getting on, had no luck and needed to get home. Will try again another day.
The signs referred to in the description are no longer in place. The cache however was a quick find at the given coordinates. Thanks very much for the cache.
A quick stop and find. Thanks for the cache need to think carefully about where to stop for this one.
Once we found the correct base it was a quick find. Lovely day to be out caching. Log is wet. Tftc
Stopped for this one on the way to Wellington for an event, but GPSr was all over the place. Looked for the signs, found a new sign up on the hill near the exit, but the two signs as in the picture are gone. GPSr was taking us over to the little building (we wonder what it was for) and we had a good look around in front and in back and a look across the road but couldn't locate. The satellites must've been out for morning tea, cos it just wouldn't settle and we didn't want to go bush-bashing in the neighbours fence. Hope to try this one again next time we're down. ta heaps
A quick find and an interesting bit of history on the heritage plaque. Thanks for placing a cache here.
Heading off for a six day sortie though the lower North Island with the primary reason being to pick up the CANZ caches we need to complete the North Island half of the challenge.
On our way north to Wanganui after a couple of days in Wellington. Mr S made the find while Mrs S was wondering about the dis-used building we were parked beside. Didn't see any signs tho, probably because we were not looking for signs.
Thanks Yeetrees, another smilie on the road north.

Found with Jesso22 while on a day off work out caching. Quick find while heading south. Thanks for the cache
AtomsNZ and I decided to take Monday off for a girl's day out and go caching. Made our way South from Palmerston North picking whichever caches took our fancy along the way. Ended up getting 40 in total, that's a new personal best for me. Found some really good caches today, a fair few nice big containers, couple of multis and a few good walks, great girl's day!
Another nice quick find for the day, thanks for the cache

thanks to all the owners of the geocaches that we found today in Levin, on our way to Otaki and in Paraparaumu. We enjoyed our journey!

Find 05 of 08 for the day and #1762 in total.
Sad story board but well worth a read, sure makes you think about the area differently.

("\(0o0)/") Thanks for the caching fun!

#1018 Out on a mish to Kimbolton and collecting some caches on the way there and back. Took awhile to spot this one but on the right angle it was plain to see. Nicely hidden and a quiet spot this morning. TFTC.
Out on a road trip collecting caches on the way to and from an event in Kimbolton with Skaga. This took a wee while to find but Skaga's keen eyes soon located the cache. TFTC
Took the sensible advise and grabbed this one when driving south. Thanks for the cache.

Relatively easy find on way back to Waitarere Beach from a shopping trip in Otaki to fight off the rain. Left a TB cross that wants to go to Israel. SL TFTC
It was a bit difficult to get across the road but finally there was a gap, then it was a quick find. TFTC
Should read description but parked on SH1 going north. Obviously made it safely across and back. Sat on slope to fill log and enjoyed the sun. TFTC

TFTC. TB in residence but TNLN as it is quite big and we're not back in North America for 3 months yet.
A quick find as we headed south today. Very quiet here near the 'Go Loco' Park which I might have to google as we'd never head of it before. There were several signs and a car with signage all trying to entice us in....to whatever it is - a train park? Should we visit another time I wonder... TFTC
