16/01/2024 Day 5 of a week long caching trip and I camped nearby and grabbed this one just after waking and later used this point a to launch my yak for a paddle down the Barwon rapidsI struggled to reach the cache and needed to fashion a tool to extract it.Thanks VP4 and VKC1SRFind recorded using GCDroid and logged us
A quick and easy find with my assistant Munro the dog who joined me in my search. Munro was overjoyed with the find and we celebrated with her owners on the foreshore. Thanks for the cache.
I decided to take the two older crumbs out camping for the night seeing as there is only a few days left of school holidays. We got a beautiful spot right in the river where we had a good set up, fishing rods were in and the bush TV (fire) was on.We made the short walk to GZ where a freshly placed log was signed and replaced where it was found.Such a beautiful area!!Thanks for the cache
Always amazes me how the well hidden caches always go missing.
Yet again.. muggled.
Gonna have to find a new spot.

Today Bushfire and I made a Maintenance run out to Inverleigh to check on a few of his old caches that have since been transferred to Neville_devil. Even though these have all been here for quite a while Inverleigh is an area I have hardly cached in so they were still in need of finding for me.
Our run took us straight past this little guy so of course it was always going to grab my attention for an extra stop. Found in the logical spot.
Thank you VK1SR for adopting and keeping this one alive

After two DNFs along this path, I was determined to find this one - even if it meant getting muddy and reaching for a cache by the tips of my fingers. Cache in good condition, log clean and dry. Thanks VCK1SR & vp4.
Back here for the second swim of the year and remembered I hadn't looked for this cache. Quick find before jumping in the cold water
Still under water from the recent floods.
Will enable when safe.
Still worth a walk down if keen

Actually came to get an unloved nearby bit pretty sure it's not there. Had a calendar hole so glad this one was a found, but we resorted to the hint after a search brought up nothing. We have kayaked from here before we discovered caching. But too many branches meant we didn't get very far.
This is the first geocache I’ve even had the energy to find after having the flu. It was definitely time to get out of the house! There are a few muggles camping down this way so I left the previous cache and came straight to this one. It’s a lovely spot. I can imagine that it would be popular on a warm day, just not today which is a little cool. I had a look around, spotted the cache, retrieved it and signed a brand new fresh log sheet. I spent some time here taking in the sights. TFTC
Yet another new container!!
Please ensure that this is tucked in nicely when replacing.

Got me buggered how the muggles found this one.. considering the way it should be hidden.
BUT.. Yet again the muggle strikes.
I have run out of containers so next trip into town I shall grab some and replace.

We had the area to ourselves and even with the very direct hint we struggled to find the cache until we used a torch, then we needed to reach the cache container. All is good here. SL TFTC

*Cache find # 10655.*
I was about to launch the kayak for a 19 km paddle with Chris but as this one was here I had to find it before leaving.
It was tucked up a bit further than I first thought.
**Thanks to vp4 (adopted by VKC1SR) for placing this cache.**

Nice place. Unfriendly muggle present on our arrival but having us arrive upset him so much he left us to search in peace! Quick find and carefully put back in place.

Found after a brief return paddle down the rover. Well concealed, but found after the hint reassured me I was in the right place.
Thanks vp4 (adopted by VKC1SR) for placing this Small Traditional - this is find 1445 for BFMC

Found at the start of a very long and arduous day exploring the Barwon river. I didn’t start the day off well. Just after finding this one I slipped on the bank while trying to get into my kayak and had to go swimming after it! Little did I know that would be the least of my worries for the day! Thanks for the cache
Picked up this cache as launching the yaks for a WILD day out on the river.
Missed it at first as tucked right in. Spotted by anikano.
Beautiful spot. Thanks for the cache here!

Woohoo. Second time lucky. Used a TOTT and found it quickly this time round and got myself another souvenir. Thank for bringing us here. Lovely spot, very peaceful.
Well tucked away and thought it might be missing but a little probing did the job. Replaced securely in the same spot. TFTC VKC1SR
Have replaced this one today.
Pesky camping muggles got the old one and decided it would be good on their campfire.
Please replace where you find it up out of the way.
Cheers

Out and about with Bogonghazy and geodog Tess for a days caching around the Bannockburn and Inverleigh area.
Bogonghazy had already found this one and knew where to look but alas no cache. Searched everywhere but not a smiley in sight. Will try again another time. Thanks VKC1SR for adopting this cache

Returning to Camperdown after a weekend in Melbourne...I grabbed some caches along the way. I spent a couple me hours in Inverleigh enjoying a good walk while grabbing caches. And another frown on the board...nothing where the cache is meant to be.
Testing out our new old 1981 Viscount caravan on the banks of the Barwon River for one night. Had to get the nearby caches of course. It's funny the random things you find in the bush... Like a pier...a nice location, maybe we'll camp in this direction next time, there's a nice clearing not far from the cache. TFTC.
Spent New Years Day caching in and around Inverleigh with good friends the Razzers. Picked this one up on our way to meeting up with them. All in all a great day, with mild warm weather, great company , lunch at the local brew house before
resuming activities in the afternoon.

A school holiday day out with the GeoKids exploring and caching around lovely Inverleigh.
Oh it's so pretty down here! Thank you for bringing us down this little road along the river. The eldest GeoKid found this one and some swaps were made. Then it was time for some photos and general scenery appreciation.
Log signed and all replaced as found.

Just following my gps around the area and managed to pull up beside the gz and manage a quick find, thanks VKC1SR for the hide and for showing us this area along the river.
A nice easy find today, having looked for this one previously after the floods last year.
Lots of campers along the waters edge today, but they didn't prove to be a problem to us getting this one.
Thanks VKC1SR for the placement here.

Out today to do some paddling and geoing. 1st find for the day. Nice little spot. Easy find.
Left a few swaps.

This could have been a quick drive by, but it's so beautiful, who would like to just drive by it, we took a moment to take in the beauty, noticed the cute lil rope swing, could be fun! Then signed the log and moved on, but not before bumping into a snake on the tracks, be alert cachers
On our way home from the Surf Coast event. Unfortunately not a smiley for us today
Found this while at or near the Surf Coast event. Sorry for late log, TFTC VKC1SR.
And on the Seventh day of my geocaching holiday I reached 7000 finds! I thought today would have ben a bit more relaxing, but since I had ran out of power trail caches (only 14 of them today) I had to travel around a fair bit. Inverleigh, Teesdale, Bannockburn, Lake Conneware and the last bit of the G2Q trail to find the last 62 caches.
And the big buld up to my milestone find was a let down as I found out from a recent log that the cache was missing! So I had to make another descision on what cache it would be.
In the end I had time on my bike and lots of airconditioned car driving to make the trip easier.
Thanks for all the caches!

Not sure if the cache has been moved by the recent flood, or if we just missed it because everything was still quite damp and smelly so we were less thorough than usual. Either way, we came away empty handed today. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
No sign of this cache at GZ after recent flooding. Will need replacing or a better look than we gave it..
We arrived at GZ and noticed the mud and grass etc from recent flooding in this district. We located what we believe to be the bottom of the container filled with mud, but now believe this was just flotsam.
Unfortunately this cache has been used as fuel for a nearby camp fire. only the lid and some burnt bits of log remain.
Nice easy find but what a spectacular spot. Amazing how fast the river is moving though it looks to be standing still. Thanks for bringing me here.
Out to Inverleigh for a friends gathering (indoors - the weather turned the BBQ into a casserole lunch). But hey, bad weather never slowed down mad cachers, did it? We didn't plan to drive to this one (indeed - looking at the map, I expected to come back another day, and do it by kayak). It's sad to admit, we only came past because we started down the road chasing Pokemons (SueHut, that is - my phone refuses to load the app)! Nonetheless, it proved a worthwhile diversion, because this is a very pretty spot. Even more so because the recent rains have swollen both the Barwon and the Leigh. Well worth a fave point! Thanks, vp4!

We got a clear but cold Winters Saturday so we headed out after lunch for some geocaching.
The Waurn Ponds area was our target and we meandered home through Winchelsea and Inverleigh.
The cache was a nice find and we enjoyed the spot a lot so still and peaceful.

Very serene spot for a GZ, so was a lovely spot to grab a smiley and pause for a moment to admire the river. All good at GZ. Log signed and replaced as found promptly. Thanks for the cache. Cheers!
What a beautiful spot, we visited just as it was starting to get dark tonight. Thanks vp4.
What a pretty spot. Might have found a good fishing spot. Inverleigh has some hidden treasurers. Thanks fir bringing us here

A beautiful spot where the three branches meet. It would seem a long way to paddle in a yak I think.
Found this on a beautiful day too.
Thanks for bringing me here today vp4.

A lovely spot - will be coming back for a swim. A little tricky to find, but persistence paid off. tftc
Unable to get this one. Muggles have set up camp right on top of this one. Grrrrrr
A great place for a cache unfortunately the muggles have made a find, and been at there destructive worst.
Need to take the hint very literally! Found by a geofriends keen eye looking down and had to feel for it! Clever hide
