Now I see, it's archived! Why does it still pop up in my pocket query? Anyway, Cristian, Suparki12 and The Arkaroo ventured on Kauyanggang to find the Earthcache and the traditional cache - of which we found the first. We also found the first step of the present multi cache - easy enough and well done. Down the cliffs, we found thousands of possibilities to hide a micro cache and we had good fun bouldering through the rocks head up or down, close to the water level. Also visited TB "Original Stash Geocoin" (TB10F8T) which posed well in the texture of the rocks. Half an hour search - because I loved the area and felt well, finally giving up on this and enjoying the rest of the island.

A quick fluke find, the gps was pointing me 8m away from actual GZ, I went to find something to tie the dog lead too and what should I stumble upon... very lucky

After developing our Earth Cache on this island, we do not get tired of visiting the area. Reading the GZ co-ords confused Mr KC, but in the end Mrs KC deciphered the code and off we went and had cache in hand...TFTH

Found during our 2010 Wagga to Wollongong Caching tour. The tour was conducted over 5 days taking in the various sites and towns situated between these two cities.

2nd of 3 to complete on this island.
Took a little while in the wind and crashing surf, and was actually about to pack it in, when noticed something 'cachish', investigated and voila! Those damn rocks were sending the gps all over the place, enough to doubt you caclculations...
TNLNSL Once again no tb's or coins in cache!
Thanks for the visit.

Found it! Feeling the pressure of caching today. Brought the whole family along today to show how nice this part of Windang Beach is. However it put a real time pressure on me to do this in double quick time. So after leaving the rest of the family at the beach, Tbone and I headed for the island. Tbone went to explore the rocks as I headed up top to find the coords. Nice to find them so quickly and before long I was back tracking down the island. I met up with Tbone at the far side of the island and we began the search. An initial cliff climb revealed GZ was further down so down to sea level we headed. We were then confronted with a terrifying prospect. Some many rocks and cracks and holes at GZ and with a jumpy GPS! With the family waiting, I had to peek and poke around here and there. Just as I sent Tbone as an advanced apology party, I noticed a suspicious spot and there was the cache. I was expecting something larger which probably threw me in the wrong direction initially. Signed the log and dropped off a coin and then we off to meet up with the family again. Another day and yet another cache. This area is magic. Glad caching brought me out here (twice now!).

Spent the afternoon looking for a couple of new caches around the area. We took our time taking in the views of the surrounding area. It was a bit of a challenge with the strong winds around as well. Thanks Seedy Stuart for the cache.

Another neat hide Stu. Goonieroos helped in getting from WP1 to GZ in the dark.

We came here a few weeks ago to hide our own cache, only to find ourselves gazumped! So this evening we came to find the new cache, and rehide our own. Dingo lead the way down the cliff to the rocks below and the cache was quickly located. Then it was off to replace ours!

The pen in the cache did not work and we did not have our own. We marked or names on the paper with the inkless pen, if the next finder could write over it we would be very appreciative!

Cheers

Where we had hidden our was right near the cache that was finally published.
I wonder why it took so long?
So we rehid ours and enjoyed exploring more of the island.
Cheers

Unlike the previous cachers, I went in at high tide!! First of all you can't get to WP1 without getting your feet wet!
Finding WP1 was no problem but than I opted for the shortcut. getting down was quit easy, but than you have to get around the corner wich is not possible at high tide. Went back up and down again a bit further, exactly above GZ, this is not recommandable to unexperienced climbers!! I was facing a 20-25 meter cliff, straight down. Did it and had no problems at GZ it self. Given the fact that I walked over here from Shellharbour city centre(5 km) and the high tide I would guess I did a 4-5 star terrain rating here.
Had great fun however!

I timed it right with the tide, and had a lovely stroll out to to WP! where the required information was collected and the views admired. I stopped to tick off another Trig Point for Geocaching Australia, then made my way down to GZ. No problems with fisherman, with GZ deserted, so I ducked in for a quick find. Thanks Seedy Stuart for taking me to somewhere I might otherwise not have visited.

The last time I was out this way was before the channel mods had been done so it was good to have a look at them as I made my way to the cache.

This cache is all about timing and I lucked out on 2 ocassions here. Did you know that this is an island at high tide? I do now. Did you know that on most ocassions this area is swarming with fishermen? I do now.

At GZ I faced with a fisherman less than 10m away so I had to use extreme stealth. Thankfully the cache is well hidden and was away from his prioring eyes.
Thanks

Left work early to have a go at a FTF on this one. Found the first waypoint quickly and then headed for GZ. Searched around for 45 minutes before Team Casho turned up. I was glad for the extra eyes. Soon after the owner of the cache turned up cache in hand. Apparently he first tried to publish the cache in 2006 and only got notification today that it had been published (he had removed the cache thinking it would not be published). I guess it is a joint FTF with Team Casho or you could say the cache found us!!.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CACHE IS AT SEA LEVEL EITHER WALK BACK THE WAY YOU CAME AND AROUND OR DOWN THE END OF THE ISLAND. DO NOT GO OVER THE BRITTLE CLIFF EDGE WHERE YOUR GPS WILL POINT TO!!

Well after our note we were tossing up go or wait till Trac gets home from work. Looking at the time, Trac not home for a few hours so we decided to go take a look either way we should come up with something. As we were getting in the car Trac walked around the cornar. Now with a full team we were off.
Arrived at given co-ords and after a bit of a search, found what we thought we were looking even if it did look a little older then the cache.
Armed with a new set of co-ords we were off on another hunt climbing around the top of the rock face. Not such a good idea in the wind and the shoes we were wearing, but it was a FTF we were going for after all. Trac went down around the rocks with the gps while I searched up top. Then I heard Trac call out "what are you doing down there". Looking over the edge I noticed goonieroos searching down below, so we too made our way down below. Trac taking the short way with a higher terrain rateing then the walk that the kids and I took.
As Jake was running to the location of Trac and goonies he noticed what appeared to be another cacher running towards the cache area. Well this is where the fun started. It was not a cacher on the hunt for the cache but was the cache owner running to put the cache into place. Its not often you get too look for a cache before it is in place LOL. We were advised that this cache was first placed back in 2006 but due to issues of one sort of another it was not published till today. What a surprise it must have been for the owner who only found out when he got home and knowing that the cache had since gone missing and was no longer in place. This being the case he jumped on his bike and rode the 2km or so with a new cache it put in its place. And then again when he arrived on site to fine not one but two teams of cachers searching for what he had in his hands.
After a quick chat it was asked if we could sign it before he placed it, but this was not to happen. We were told to turn around while it was placed and then we were allowed to locate it to carry out the cach\ing duties.
Caching duties completed and cache returned now just to decide who is to get the FTF, LOL.
We signed the log first but goonies had been there searching longer so we fell that they should get the FTF.

Thanks for the hunt and for the fun on this one a cache with a terrain of 2-3 depending on your attack and at what time you attend as I am sure you may get wet feet at times near gz

TFTC.

This was an interesting one!

Ends up being a simple offset multi in the end but surprising and confusion regarding the placement date [?].

As we turned into the carpark we spotted the Team Casho mobile and then Team Casho, them having already found the cache.

So armed with the geobub off I went in search of the cache. Took a bit of finding in the end at GZ but not too hard really. A quite enjoyable spot and another place that is worthy of a cache. Thanks seedy stuart.

Is this one ment to be a multi or a triditional?
If a multi is there any further instructions as to what we have to do.

Thanks
