As there's been no cache to find or log to sign for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

24-Jul-11
Cache is definitely gone. Will try and find a slightly better hiding spot before re-activating this one.

Cheers

This was not a hard cache to find, so judging by the number of recent DNF's it looks as though it has gone missing.

I am temporarily disabling until I can get out and check whether it is still there or not.

Cheers,
Ksix

With all the DNF's could you please check on the health of this one??

01-Apr-11
Stopped by this one with Muddtrax on our way to Forest Challenge 5 at Jimna but couldn't find it. Found that other cachers at the event had tried to locate this one as well searching high and low and didn't have any luck either.Sad

01-Apr-11
No luck with this one today. Can you please check to see if it is still here?

01-Apr-11
Stopped by this one with Krossbo on our way to Forest Challenge 5 at Jimna but couldn't find it Sad This was very disappointing. When talking to other cachers at the event they also said they had searched high and low and didn't have any success.

01-Apr-11
Searched everywhere here. Flattened most of the grass which will help future cache hunters. On the way to Forest Challenge 5. No skydivers today. TFTC

"Very wet under foot so did not stay long looking

18-Oct-10
It was very busy today as there were heaps of people skydiving and cars constantly coming and going so decided to watch the planes landing and taking off over our heads, what a sight.
Will be back at a less busy time

16-Oct-10
To windy today for Jumping. Had to send the kids in to find this one and find they did not. Had to take shoes and socks off to help them out. Lots of water after the recents heavy rains. Nice cache.

16-Sep-10
Tried to do this on the way out ,but there were heaps of workmen doing what looks like a turning area lane into the Ramblers drop zone ,when we were on the way back we grabbed the cache ,no problems ,took' Polly the Parrot' for a fly around in our motorhome Coco . TFTC x

Polly decided to stretch her wings and hopes to catch a lift somewhere else. Left her in the company of Action Man. TFTC SL

Heading back to Melbourne from the Sunshine Coast, I found this cache @ 17:06hrs today.
This was the eighth of nineteen caches that I found on this trip. The sun was in my eyes so it was a welcome stop. I have to admit that the low flying air craft gave me a bit of a start. I guess it serves me right for not reading all the description.

Alas did not see any jumpers today

13-May-10
Found 0751 with Marg.. Found while we were on a day trip to Toowoomba. A quick find at a likely spot. The cache was OK and dry. TFTC.

09-May-10
Never bothered with this one cause it seemed to be in grass about head height! Didn't really feel like trekking through very long grass.

04-Apr-10
Pulled up in the late afternoon with the sun fading fast...

Played an impromptu tune on the recorder found in the cache while Princess signed the log...

After the placing the cache back safely, we watched a skydiver jump from a chopper and descend at a pretty high speed.....thought his chute might have been faulty but he ended up landing safely and softly.

Nice spot...

Heading home today and I had on better footwear, it has been very wet through here, but cache was all good and dry

Cheers K Sixs

11-Mar-10
Did not attempt actually. It looked pretty wet under the long grass (after all the recent rain) and I was not wearing the best footwear for the job, so I opted to leave this one until next time.

As for most of the finders I suspect, was in the area so I thought I'd just drop by and find this one too.
Last find for the day as I had other business to attend to, so TNLN. TFTC, Ksix, and no drops today from the Ramblers Cessna caravan. Another cacher I know flew one of these Cessna Caravans for a while, and also flew parachutists for a short while, but decided that parachuting was like jumping to a hasty conclusion. Smile

After a day out enjoying some great country hospitality and making some preparations for our other common sport, Rogainer and I took the opportunity to pick up a few caches on the way back to Brisbane. This was the first for what was to be a big day out by our standards. At GZ the cache was quickly located and the log book signed. Didn't see anybody parachuting to earth although there seemed to be a good collection of vehicles at the clubhouse - maybe waiting for the weather to clear? TFTC

31-Jan-10
Out for the Day with Mr Control Freak on rogaining business.
After we were done with rogaining, it was time to change hats and find a few caches.
This cache was the first of 7 we visited on the way home.

Pulled up and spotted a likely looking hiding place, but thankfully the cache wasn't where it could have been...

Thanks to Ksix for the cache

Found on the TiedyeSmileys Adelaide NSW QLD trip away.

Parking nearby, we headed off to GZ. Mrs TiedieSmileys was thinking snakes so sent Mr TiedieSmileys off through the long grass to find the cache. Only after he found it did he notice the geotrail heading off from the road to GZ.

After a very enjoyable game and lunch at the Toogoolawah Bowls Club it was time to head home, but not too far down the road was this cache. A motorcyclist leaving the Ramblers Drop Zone had a bemused expression on his face as he came across someone dressed in bowls clothes exiting the long grass. TFTC.

29-Aug-09
at 16:17. It is possible carloads leaving Ramblers might have thought it a bit odd to be standing out in the scrub. We'd seen enough planes today. Left the Rosier Times TB. Thanks again for your 3 caches.

A quick drop into GZ and grabbed it at 1407hrs. This place brings back some good memories.

We found the geotrail, then the cache but couldn't find any parachutists today. The place was deserted when we drove up to have a look around. Not that I would have taken the opportunity to jump if I'd been given it. You'd have to be crazy to do that! TFTC

24-Jul-09
A reasonably quick find and after Mummy (wife) beating me to the find 3-0 already the Blackberry finally gets its first find on the board proving that it will be a viable option as a caching back up.

Followed the well-defined geotrail to the cache, picked it up, TN/LN/SL and went to watch the parachutists. Also discovered they have a fair cafe with good hot dogs [^].

Drove into the path to the airport and found a very nice and wide geotrail which led me to the cache. Mozzies all around. TFTC

There have been many caching feet pounding the path to GZ. Very easy to follow. Surprised to see so few logged finds looks like an army has been through the area.

IndoAussie and myself found oursleves in the hamlet of Toogoolawah today and after a quick bite to eat, we thought we would grab a couple of caches, before our next appointment. Razz

After reading some of the logs we may have taken the wrong way in as we had a bit of ramble over the long grass, but cache was soon on hand.

I have had many FTFs and never ever been lucky enough to score a badge or a trophy. This time I let gerrynewgirl get to the cache first and low and behold, a trophy. Oh well, I'll get one some day. My second son came to Ramblers about ten years ago at the age of 16 where he completed his 'jump' course - safely. These days he flies planes but hasn't jumped out of one for a long time. TFTC TN left a weroamin token.

03-Mar-09
Yeah read the log of weroamin (who stayed beside the car), scored the FTF trophy and placed a weroamin token in the cache whilst replacing it. Thanks for challenge.

03-Mar-09

All quite around here today. Still on the trail of weroamin and beaten yet again Wink Looks like I'll just have to get an earlier start next time.

Take care...there is an easy way into the cache...and the other way where you will encounter a multitude of cobblers pegs. Guess which way I went Wink

Cache dry and in good condition (as one would expect with a new cache Smile )

Thanks Smile
