On the road again, this time we are staying at the Thornside Mobile Home Park.
After setting up, we headed around the bay finding caches as we went. The views were spectacular from every turn in the road. We had fish & ships for lunch sitting by the beach.
Thanks for placing this cache teamxxxx

We had been at a wedding all afternoon and evening and I still had to grab a cache today!!
Dave wasn't very convinced when I suggested I was just going to 'hop out and grab one' in my new heels and dress, though he directed us towards the one I had picked out.
The first cache we chose had to be missed as the park seemed to be full of people 'parking'.
This one was easy to grab late at night as there were very few cars coming by.
And yes, I managed to make the find, in heels and a dress!

The hiding-place is clear because there are not many other options but the cache is not where.
Despite a rigorous search nothing showed up today. The area is clean after recent mowing activity with lots of dead cut grass everywhere. But no cache hidden anywhere we could see.
This would have been a quick park & grab except it took several minutes to encourage the ants to move on. There were hundreds (probably thousands) of the little blighters in, on & all around the container (which was NOT a small tin as described but a plastic key holder with slide cover ) They had been there so long they had colonised the container with eggs & all! After giving them some time to remove their eggs the rather damp, & almost beyond it's use by date, log was signed & returned. I don't think it will be long before the ants move in again as the plastic container is slightly warped allowing water & insect access.
Despite all the above it was a quick find & a welcome additional smilie on the map!
TFTC teamxxxx Happy New Year!

TFTC teamxxxx Happy New Year!
Spent our school years in this area. Back on a day out looking around so had to add a to the map. TFTC
Found it. Was off to go shopping and thought may as well do a few more caches.
Had past this one a few times before but always busy, today not so, parked at park and walked back.
Soon had this signed and replaced. TFTC

Well it would be just plain rude not to call in and try and find this one when I was already so close. After finding another of the CO's caches in the area, and a puzzle too, this one was on the way back out to the car. Given that it is Easter Monday the traffic was not too bad, and gave me lots of opportunities to sneak a look and a feel. After a lot of no, no, and no, I eventually spied something that could be a yes. Sure enough a cache was soon in hand. Heaps of room still in the log book, and all is in good condition.
Thanks for another nice little cache teamxxxx, well done!

Easy find, cache in good condition. Logbook a bit damaged. Coords were off by 4m. Happy hunting everyone: )
Well hidden, need to time it with the traffic to not be too obvious. Log is full and damaged. TFTC
On my way to a friends dropped here quickly. Parked next to found easy. Log full and a bit destroyed but dry. Tftc.
About 10 minutes to find because of the fairly constant road traffic and it was hidden quite deep as well. Thanks for the smiley
Today was the day to score the two isolated cached in Hemmant. I was already doing rounds in Wynnum, so this direction was a natural extension to the trip.
Since my app played up when leaving the previous cache, decided to just drive up the road and stop a bit before the more populated area to see if I can get my app co-operate, again. Pulled up on the roadside, checked the app - and what do you know, 40 m from this cache. Cool!
How, the likely host was easy to spot, and on a quiet morning there were only a few bypassers. Went through the place with my eyes and hands - nothing. Ouch, this is not the way it's supposed to go on an easy place like this!
Sat down, dished out the phone to scroll through the previous log. They confirmed the area was right, I just have to get my fingers onto it. So, it was time to put a glove on and to a forensic examination of the place. Oh, hold on, that's irregular shape here! Aaah, it moves. If I just can reach and get it to move this way... A few tricks into the game, and I could pull the container out.
Of the two logbooks, spotted first the older one, then scrolled to the next one to find empty pages to write on. All cool here, tucked the container back in a bit more accessible way just in case the next finder hasn't got the same reach.
TFTC, teamxxx!

I was just walking away from this one when I heard a voice say have you found it yet?
Nice to meet you MurchUnearthers. No I hadn't found it.
Nice to have someone help at GZ.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks teamxxxx All good with this cache

This morning there was a small group taking on a few cache in the area before the International Day of Geocaching event taking place not far away. The group was made up of barbbowman, fasted59, teamdfl, IolantheK, and Gullivers Travels 54.
So on the way to another cache and we stopped off for this one. It turned out to be a quick find, however fasted59 decided to try and send us astray but it did not work for long.

This was a quick find, with a group of cachers who were locating caches in the nearby area. TFTC.
Out and about early this morning with teamdfl, and we met up with fasted 59, barbbowman, Gullivers Travels54 and OrionJ to grab a few caches in the area before the International Geocaching Day Event at Colmslie Beach Reserve. OrionJ and I dashed in for this one, but fasted tried to fool us! However, we were tenacious and made the find. TFTC, teamxxxx
A few muggles around but managed to find the cache and sign the log without being seen! Thanks for the cache teamxxxx!
Early for an appointment on "The Dark Side" so I thought I would be able to fit in a cache or two!
A nice easy find with the help of recent logs.

Pulled up for this one and started heading to GZ. Like others before, GPS had us going about 6 metres another way. The cache description made the area to search pretty clear, but still looked in the wrong spot.
Eventually rested my feet and reached the right way.

Into my second week of geocahing. This is the most exposed hide I have experienced so far. Thanks.
Found this cache during a day out caching with Nyssaflutterby after i had finished work for the day. We both knew where the cache SHOULD be however our devices both said we should be looking around 10m away in the middle of the grass? We followed our geosense and eventually Nyssaflutterby came up with the goods. Thanks for the cache teamxxxx
Found with Net88 on one of our weekly caching adventures. Coords were a bit off for us but using geosense we soon had the cache in hand. We signed the log and replaced the cache as found.

TFTC , hmm "looking looking looking". Should be easy. Missed it many times by 1cm. Gotcha now
After a detailed search 20ft North east of the cache hide to no luck and a man look in the obvious spot a bit further away. I ran out of time to do the search. The next time I drove past major works meant the place indicated on my gps was totally transformed for the better. Judging from the coordinates I thought the cache was a casualty of these works.
After reading the recent logs I picked up an easy one today.

I pulled over nearby today and decided to just see if there were any caches around here. To my delight, this one was right next to me! A quick hunt later and it was in my hand, and all in fine condition. TFTC teamxxxx!
Sent the kids in to check this one, after getting distracted watching a snake cross the road they found it with no difficulties.
Did like the hint suggested and stretched my legs at GZ...
Then had a squiz in the obvious place for a nice, easy find
All in good order here.
Unless of course you only had a man look around
TFTC teamxxxx!
ps: I like these containers, have a couple myself.
ps: There is no way to remove the Maintenance log unless the CO does it, and the CO appears to be inactive.

I suspect this one has been seriously muggled with an excavator.
Had a quick look at some steel work a little distance from GZ but found nothing.
The area looks a whole lot better than it did a last time I drove past.
Please let me know if it is still in place.
Maybe I had a Man look
I will attempt to add a photo

Excellent hiding spot. Was expecting a magnetised eclipse container however this was more interesting.
Had a pretty thorough look with no luck. We are new to this though so maybe we just missed it.
This was not quite "on our way", but not far enough off our track to ignore it.
A quiet road today, and a quick grab in a very cache friendly location.
Thanks, Robmc.

We were on our way to find a mystery cache so this cache was nicely on the way, sort of.

# 809. Having just arrived from Melbourne this morning we were still feeling our way around. The cache was found in a cosy spot, that seems to suit these small hides. TFTC teamxxxx
Out and about on the dark side of town picking up a few caches on this beautiful but windy day. This was our first for the day. We thought the cache maybe where it was but it was by feel rather than seeing it. Great cache on a busy little road on occasions.

This hide was exactly where I expectd it to be. Just had to wait for a break in the traffic to grab it. TFTC teamxxxx. Might have to partake some of your namesake drinks tonight to celebrate.

Yay another one down for the day. This one was a bit interesting as it was where we thought it was but fully opened ... Think muggles got at it but no damage was done so all good. TFTC
Out and about on a wet day of caching with Captain Terror.... a little bit of a scary stop for this one with the car skidding out on the wet ground on the side of the road... a bit of fish tailing but all was good in the end... wasn't even going very fast... oops! Not to worry... the Captain grabbed the cache lickety split and moved along to find our next

Out and about with Whint, heading towards Wynnum in the rain for a days caching and decided to stop at this one. After Whint came in like a bat out of hell and drifted the Territory to a halt next to GZ I bailed out for the hunt. A bit of a look around and I soon felt rather than saw the cache. Back to the carto sign log before replacing where I found it. Nice cache, TFTC teamxxx
After reading the previous log, i was a little dubious as i approached GZ . I soon spotted the offending culprits (and the cache), so i searched around for an 'offending culprit removing tool' … which turned out to be a chewed up iced coffee bottle. There were only two wasps guarding the nest, so my first lunge scared them away … and the second removed the nest [8].
The rest, as they say, is history . We replaced the torn zippy bag before returning the treasure to it wasp free home . TFTC teamxxxx

Found easily enough although the wasp allergy dose not allow me to even try and i did not wish to possibly disturb the family of wasps.
Could not sign log as wasps nest is blocking the best way to get to the cache. Bring bug spray if you want to sign log.
Nice quick find. I did not bring a pen on my walk so I took a photo of the log. It is nice to see some cows amongst the growing number of houses.
"On the Way" home, I happened to be in the area. Ok So, I engineered it to be in the area so I could locate this one.
Cache at first would not come to be it was stuck and with the warning below it was not too easy to retrieve.
Warning!!! Be careful this one has a family of Wasps in the area.

Wasp nest seems to have gone but still a few wasps lurking around GZ. Took longer than it should have to find this one again we were expecting a container a little different. TFTC
Disturbed a wasp nest in my search so had to retreat. Will come back another day.
The fat cattle in the nearby paddock, were a lovely sight, the road works gave me time to find and sign the cache, which was very convenient. TFTC
The log is certainly a tight fit in this one. Log slightly damp, but accepted pen OK. TFTC
It was a very nice and wet day when i grabbed this one.
Was a quick grabbed so i was soon onto the next cache.

This was another one of those caches that I drive by regularly. I had stopped to look for it a couple of times when I first started geocaching but obviously I had no idea what I was doing back then. This was so easy to find today that I wonder how the heck I could have missed it before. TFTC.
Cheers Geoff1313

Nice quick drive-by here, though we were surprised at how many cars use this seemingly quiet road. TFTC. ='.'=
A nice drive by cache as me and La Kedi were driving around cleaning up a few caches, I have to make sure I look both ways when crossing the road these days as my tone deafness is getting worse and sometimes I don't even here the cars, anyone would think I was 63 instead of 43. Thanks for the cache teamxxxx
Unfortunately, parked a fair way away but was a quick find after the walk. Found with SoS89, TFTC!
I had looked for this one last year but today Aussie Liahona was with me and we made reasonably short work of this one. I checked out the bull in the paddock but a large lake separated him from us and I don't think he wanted to swim it. Nice to find this in a break in the threatening rain. Good one teamxxxx.
