Logs
Thought we would take the scenic route back to Brissy today. Log signed with SCAHPA Left our trademark sticker inside (skeleton animals) - TFTC!!
Replaced dodgy eclipse tin left in the mud and replaced with magnetic containerjust like when I found it.Theres only thing this could bemagnetic.Cheers
Two of us searched on two occasions for this. Hunted high and low on the structure and came up with nothing. Knowing from the logs what container type it was, and the suspected original hiding position, we left a replacement. Like everyone else has said - hard to imagine this being the original highway. But what great views they had!
First cache ever!!!

Didn’t realise it was so far down a dirt road the geomobile is now filthy with dust covering it. found after our Beerwah hike this morning. TFTC, found with Torz42.
Very busy with all the traffic avoiding the highway this afternoon. Thanks for the fun!
Found with wet log so dried out old paper, placed new sheet in baggie and replaced all back where found, Thanks TaxisVW and Pam ,
Shazzar66 and I stopped here for a mint after climbing Twin Mountains. We were both pretty worn out after our 3hr 45min dual mountain climb, so we were pretty happy to be able to park very close by. Cache was found relatively easily.
There were quite a few trail bike riders around the area that we saw (and heard) today. One who was, for some strange reason, trying to ride his trail bike almost half way up the Western Twin at Mount Tunbubudla. Im not quite sure of the attractions of trail bike riding, unless it’s the noise, the danger, the speed and the dust and mud all over everything. Having said that, they probably don’t understand people climbing a mountain to sign a piece of paper, or looking at an electricity tower in the middle of nowhere along what probably used to be a very heavily used road.
Thanks for bringing us here TaxisVW & Dr Pam. Interesting to learn that this used to be a major road. Now for coffee. TFTC

dahumbug I found your cache Highway One - Beerburrum on 30/8/2022, 3:15 pm. This is my find 4039 and find # 21 today. Found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
A big hike today, guided by Pprime` and in company with 1Minniemoo and oz_bean_counter. After spraining my ankle a week ago and having just now been up and down both Geminis in 5 and a bit hours ... well I am spent. Happily this was an easy find for us to finish off a fantastic morning.
Nice quick find here today, after doing the Gemini Twins. A relatively easy walk / hike / climb, with some lovely views. Good to have this old cache in the bag.

Pprime, T4mmmy, oz_bean_counter and I had been on an adventure up the Gemini Twins today, and were finally on our return journey home, but had to make one quick stop while here of course for this easy roadside cache - about all we could muster after today’s hike.
Pulling the car up, we headed over and soon made our find, a small leap later for mankind, but a giant leap later for us weary bodied hikers, and we had it in hand and log signed. Then it was a case of “Home James and don’t spare the horses”.
Thanks for the cache TaxisVW and Dr Pam, and dahumbug.

The roads around here sure are tricky to drive on if you don't have a 4 wheel drive. TFTC
Cache 2 on day 2 of my 7 day cycle tour. An easy find though I’m short so climbing was almost required. TFTC
Today, I joined georode in climbing the Glass House Mountains twin peaks. After an extended bogged vehicle and recovery incident, we completed the peaks in just over 3.5 hr. I then started to head home, passing through Elimbah followed by Caboolture. I completed the *Caboolture - Old&New* Adventure Lab visiting some of the history in Caboolture, before calling it a day.
After spending quite a few hours attempting to recover ourselves and then had a Triton ute pull us out, we were on our way for the day, and so we decided to make a stop here for this geocache. After checking the structure's four obvious hiding spots, I then spotted the cache hide. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks TaxisVW and DrPam for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Easy find...once you get there... Was not kitted out for this one. Thanks for the adventure.
With last night's rain getting to this one was a bit of a challenge. Got there in Greenland logged to complete my calendar. TFTC
We parked about 100mts away due to wet road and walked on to GZ. As we were retrieving the cache two policeman on scrambler bikes pulled up and asked what we were doing! We explained the game and they went on their way probably looking at what the bikers were up to on the tracks today. TFTC
Found on our 2019 mega trip from NSW to QLD for winter with Roostaman.

**# 24863** Found on our 2019 winter escape trip to Qld.
Another fine sunny Winter day for a drive around Beerburrum with Mrs Roosta.
Not many muggles around today and a few good safe hides.
The cache was all rusty and in need of repair. I replaced it with a nice new one.
Thanks for the cache dahumbug,

Heading to Hervey Bay from Melbourne ( Brisbane airport) we were gunna do twin peaks and geminis but the roads not accessible for us. Grabbed this on the way, log is soaked needs replacing.
As we drove by the obsession kicked in, need to sign that one too.
Quick find but the cache has seen better days. Wonder when the HW 1 got its current alignment.
Thanks for placing this here

TFTC TaxisVW and DrPam. We were in the area to climb up east and west Tunbubudla (the twin mountains). We almost forgot to pick this one up before lunch.

After doing the Geminis, we stopped by here on the way back out. A quick find. Unfortunately, the bag is in tatters and the log has been soaked at some point and is a solid lump. Thanks for the cache
Finally! Long time on my to do list, to get the smilie!

Lots of bikes out today, these guys all had helmets . Tftc and the info. It's nice to learn a bit about the area the caches are.
Just the one cache for today but what a cache it was. We got bogged on the road thankfully we were able to wave down a helpful excavator driver who helped us get out and cleared the rest of the way. TFTC
Easy find however I would not suggest coming out here with a normal car definitely a 4x4 required little eclipse tin thank you for the find
I found this one a while ago with a friend on an easy random adventure. Nice easy cache.
Out and about with Nyssaflutterby and though we hadn't planned caches to do, we found some anyway!
I thought this one was on a road. Geez the main roads have neglected this road!
I'm amazed that this used to be the highway! Thanks for bringing us out here dahumbug!

#4203 [16:00] real highway for 2wd found on my trip to geminies, thanks for this stop and interesting info for me in the listing.
After our epic adventure up the mountain we came down and found this just down the road from where we were parked. Had to be done.........No lid but all dry.
Thanks for the cache!!!!
Thanks for the cache!!!!
Got this 1 arter a day in the mountains with the 4Bs and a P to see Klbooth had move the car up the hill to get this 1
Out scouting about today and this was the closest one to where we were. In our car it was bumpy but doable driving down the path was very interesting and great memories made that we wont forget cache found signed and replaced. TFTC
We were out with the Glasshouse Bushwalkers this morning as part of a MBRC activities program. Quick easy grab for this cache, unnoticed by the others. The walk continued over the saddle of Tudbudbulla, but disappointingly not near any of the other 4 caches in the area. We'll be back without a group! The cache container has lost its lid! TFTC
After an awesome few hours climbing the nearby Twins for 4 well-earned caches I decided to warm down by going the extra 1km each way to this cache before returning to my car in the other direction. Walking along these powerlines is a very hot boring thing to do. I did see all sorts of trash left behind but nothing else much of interest. The lid is broken but it is all in a safe spot with a dry log. TFTC
Quick easy find. Found this on the way to Mt Beerwah. My gps decided to lead me down this road. I wouldn't use this road in the wet if you have 2wd.
7470 Cache Found
Had to get the windscreen in the Geo Truck replaced this morning in Caboolture. Then onwards to try for a few caches around the area and on the way home. Great drive along the power lines nice cache thanks for bringing me here
Thanks for the great cache and adventure dahumbug
This Day in Music
2005, Kylie Minogue was voted the world's sexiest woman in her 30's by UK magazine Good Housekeeping. Sade was voted No.4 in the over 40's with Madonna coming in at No.7 and Jerry Hall at No.8. And Sharon Osbourne was voted into 3rd place in the over 50's section.

Nice hide. Road was rutted out after a weekend of rain with bikes and fourbies tearing it up, but took my time and got there
There was to be a group assault on The Geminis today and this was the meeting point. I picked up Kerry from Slow Puncture and we made our way here. We were early. What to do with our time. Hmmm......find the nearby cache. Kerry had already found it, so left me to it. I looked here and there and then noticed a lot of trampled grass, so decided to check that out. No luck. I turned to speak to my companion and there was the cache, right in my line of sight. I signed the log and returned the cache as I had found it. Now what to do until the others get here
This was the meeting point for the group before we start the Gemini road trip hike. While standing around having a bit of a catch up I almost forgot to retrieve and sign the log.
Well job done now just have to wait for our tour guide to arrive.

#1138 @ 8:00 am ~ About to get the Gemini Series and met up with the others here. ~ TFTC TaxisVW and DrPam
I tried to be prepared for today's Roadtrip but I got a little lost while trying to take what I thought might be the the best roads for my Carolla to drive over( with its sports pack and low profile tyres I was not taking any chances). Luckily, I met with Humbug and Egg n crew who were discussing which way to go too! Unluckily the first thing they yelled out to me was that I had been sprung while roadside caching on Steve Irwin way. Boo! I must have looked like a deer in the headlights!
Anyhoo, it was comforting to join the convoy to find our way to the meeting point at this cache.
Last to arrive for the next leg of the Gemini Roadtrip, I was happy that one of the kids in the group grabbed it so I could sign and head off for the next one. TFTC

As the meeting point for today's walk up the Gemini Twins, this one was a must. Quick find, while waiting for our host TFTC
This is first on the list today.... we are heading up the mountain. .... and yep the motorbike guys are leathal.....
Easy cache capture with a great group of geocachers heading to the Gemini twins. Today
This was the meeting point for today's Terrain Assault on the four caches at the nearby twin peaks. I am glad the CO described this road as an "unlikely stretch of the old Bruce Highway". GeoFalcon bounced around this bit of now 4WD and MTN Bike track like nobody's business! While we were waiting for the Co to arrive (he was 25 minutes late!) we variously popped over to sign the log, Found at 7.45am on 18th July 2015. TFTC.
