Found on our way to lunch at Beechworth. Walked and grab a few caches on the rail trail. Will be back once our scooters arrive. TFTC
Found while enjoying a day trip around the area. The sunshine is divine. A nice quick find. Many thanks BettyBoo3747 for providing this game piece for our enjoyment.Greetings from Tatura, Australia
Decided to dust the bike off and complete some more of this series. It was a warm day with a nice breeze every now and then. Enjoyed my ride with only one DNF for the day. One more trip, and I should have then series knocked over. Spotted 2 snakes today, small brown at the start and a huge red belly on the way back there out and about with the change in temp. Another unhappy magpie on the way to this one. TFTC!
Nice day to be out in the rain.Quick find After a short walk along the trail.
We planned a caching day last week, with the aim being the CSI series. However, with the heavy rain overnight, those plans needed to be changed. So it was off to complete a few caches on the rail trail where it was less likely for us to get bogged. I had looked for this one previously, but it was missing. Thankyou bettyboo for replacing this cache, especially as its an older cache. Log signed and returned as found
Third walk for the day. On the Rail Trail to check this one and it certainly seems to have done a runner. New container and log book back in position. All good here now.Geocoin also popped in to continue its journey.
I'm out on my Ebike along the trail today finding these caches all going well so far TFTC
Exploring rural Victoria as part of the SPINZ team: Sidewaze, paddle chick, Isis58 and Nanzie from New Zealand. I’m really enjoying the landscape and seeing what goes on in this neck of the woods. All the different eucalypts, the pepper trees and other interesting plants. The colourful birds, some quite noisy and some very noisy. The many vistas - - beautiful in sunlight and shade. I loved visiting each and every cache and really appreciate the effort required to hide and maintain them. Thanks to the cache owners. Greetings from Aotearoa / New Zealand, happy caching and if you have yet to visit us across the ditch to see what we have to offer, do make sure you enter such a visit on your “to do” list.
This is my first trip outside New Zealand caching and enjoyed getting this cache with Team SPINZ tftc
We have spotted quite a few rabbits on the trail today but not here although I'm sure they're close. TFTC # 19,022
Found on our Rutherglen Mega trip, all logs signed as SPINZ (Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Isis58 and Nanzie from NZ). Sorry about the cut and paste logs. TFTC

Found previously with BlackOpal2005. We thought it was time to create our own accounts.
Found with dalerious on a pleasant drive to Wangaratta and surrounds .
The grass was so tall at gz, the rabbits and rails were barley visible .
Tentative steps were taken to avoid any snakes lurking in the shrubbery.
As we were walking along this track the weather started to look ominous, so we hightailed back to the car and I got to sign two challenge caches before the heavens opened.
Thank you BettyBoo3747 .

Found with catnap777 as we visited Wangaratta and surrounds for a quiet day out on our very own.
Just a couple more before we headed for home. This one was just about half way between the last one and the next one.
TFTC McAdies and thanks for looking after it BettyBoo3747.

Had a nights accommodation booked in Wangaratta as my geohusband had a jet fighter plane flight booked. When the flight was cancelled due to the weather forecast we still made the trip up and hit the rail trail for some caching. The plan was to do as much of the trail as we could. TFTC

I offered to adopt this cache from McAdies as it seemed a shame to let a 12 year old cache go and it fits in well with all mine along the Rail Trail. New cache in place and ready to be found.
Unfortunately the container appears to be missing, also had a good search in the wider area, checked hints and previous logs for clues.
No luck for us today. Searched for 10 minutes and then searched a little more. Thanks for bringing us here regardless.
Seems this has gone. Been out 12 years pre-dating the power trail so time for another cache to fill the gap.
Stopping briefly here to get the Mystery close by we couldn't resist the odd Trad and even a multi along the way. The fit Triton rode his fold up bike which was very funny to see, especially when the real cyclists in their lycra clothes and good bikes rode past him.
We didn't find any rabbits today but we certainly found us a cache.
Thanks McAdies for the hide. We were pleasantly surprised to see your name on this one.

Out and about walking along the rail trail with geodog loving life! Not many bike riders today. Quick find. TFTC
I was out for a morning run and stopped off for a quick find. TFTC on this lovely day.
The start of our big day riding the trails. It was cool in the morning but became very warm later in the day. The container was found just where the numbers took us, signed in and we moved on.
Getting tired now.

Out for a ride along the Rail Trail between Tarrawingee and Everton on a cache hunt with Egg Zachary...... number 7 for day. Nice and easy find. TFTC
Today I bicycled the M2M from Wangaratta to Everton. A great ride that I thoroughly enjoyed. Had a pretty good strike rate overall, but there was the odd inevitable DNF along the way as well. Thanks to everyone for all the cache placements, and also thanks to Nigel for the bicycle hire and shuttle service. Cheers and TFTC
Found this cache in a short while and we took the TB to further its travels. Lovely flowering wattle bush nearby GZ.

Out on the deadly on a cold winters day rode the trail down as far as the Wang - Beechworth rd most were easy finds , a couple more difficult and two DNFs
Today is the 9th of June long weekend of 2018 and I managed to ride a bike for the first time in 15 years to find a heap of the Rail Trail caches with Joolay, Kitty Katch, Strangetrousers and several others. We signed the logbook as a group under the name Capital Crunches to save space on the logs. We had several DNFs along the way but most of the caches were easy and quick finds. Spotted two rabbits, millions of birds and heaps of farm animals. It was amazing, Thanks for all the caches and sorry for the generic log for this cache but with so many caches in one day it would be too hard to write a different one for each cache. I have included my Geocaching poem within my log for you and anyone else to read. I hope you all enjoy the poem and geocaching as much as I do.
I found this cache on one of the three days caching in this area. Strangetrousers and I collected about 120 caches including a multis, puzzles, an Earthcaches and Traditionals before heading back to Canberra and real life (Sadly).
Geocache Poem
By DARKSIDEDAN
My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.
***** I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. As of today the 9th June 2018 my average was 70 words per log, which seems close to the 100 target. However given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After almost 3000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before this year ends. Progress has been better than anticipated.*****

Fantastic day riding from Everton to Wangaratta on the 2nd day of riding the trail. Beautiful sunny day and such a lovely area to ride through and great trail. Did not find all as some were tricky. Found with Kittykatch, Canberra Chic, Strangetrousers, Geo Snag1 and Darksidedan (Capital Crunchers) on a caching trip to Wangaratta to ride the rail trail. Thanks for bringing us here
Found with the the Capital Crunchers team. A beaut day out and the caches were challenging - Thanks for the Cache !
#4136 17th for today
Day 2 of our MMRT trail ride weekend at Beechworth/Wanagaratta.Today I was joined by Kittykatch, Joolay, CBRChic, Geosnag1 and DarkSideDan. So we resumed where we left off yesterday at Everton and managed a much better rythym today, broken only by the occasional difficult find or DNF. I think we rode about 35 Km in total, but it wasn't too bad being mostly long flat stretches. We spotted lots of cows, sheep, some horses and a few goats along the way. Not a few cyclists also passed us also. We even came across a family of first time geocachers and gave them a few hints.
Logs variously signed as "Capital Crunchers", "CBR Crunchers" and "Canberra Crunchers". And thanks to Grimraider for the transport today.
Thanks to the COs: McAdies

Stopping off for a couple of caches that would allow us a quick trip back to the car if the weather changes suddenly.
We walked up the trail and were soon upon GZ for "Rabbits...". About twenty odd metres from where we figured the hide would be out popped one of the subject matter and off he shot across the adjacent paddock to the trail. We wondered if the new strain of calicivirus had not been so much of a success here just yet.
The cache was found with no problems all in good order.
SL at 1.30pm.
A nice placement to compliment the series here. TFTC McAdies.

With KB in town for a few days it was decided that we'd hit the rail trail on the weekend. It was a warm and windy day, we started at 10am in Bowser and made our way along the trail. Most were quite easy finds but a few were challenging. We contended with loads of grass seeds in the sometimes shoulder height grass, we also found a couple of snakes guarding caches along the way (a brown and a red belly black).
Thanks for a fun day out which finished at 7pm!
And of course, TFTC

My apologies for my initial incorrect log. Jamin Appleford and I found your cache while cycling the rail trail today. The log was dripping wet but we signed as best we could. Thanks for the cache.
The geofamily are off on another trip to Mexico. Fun, sore backsides (for some) and Dad getting the geomobile stuck and breaking his bike, TWICE were the highlights of the trip. One of the running jokes for the trip was 'If it's 2.5T it's laying on the ground, if it's 2.5D it's under that pile of rocks or in the open, if it's listed as large we are looking for an eclipse tin' which came about due to a number of early finds. The lasting memory from this trip will be the grass seeds!!!
Found while riding the Beechworth to Wangaratta Rail Trail. The logbook is unusable.
Thanks for the cache McAdies.

Geofamily trip to Victoria... Cool!
Mrs Moneydork, Moneydork, sushilord and I left Friday morning for a 4 day jaunt over the border to find a cache or two
Two nights in Wangaratta and then a night in Bendigo left me with 10 DNFs and 205 cache finds one of which was a FTF
Day 2 around Wangaratta and our expected long day of riding was cut short by a malfunctioning pushbike That meant only 100 finds today with 4 DNFs
I saw part of this rail trail when in Victoria doing the Lake Eildon Geo Tour and thought how cool it would be to ride it
So I was stoked to be here and actually riding on it and finding caches [^]
Sadly the ride was concluded earlier than anticipated due to mechanical failure so we ended up walking and driving to some of the caches we had thought to ride to
Still the area is great with some great views, some interesting sights and of course caches and smileys
As good as it gets [^]

Following the E2W surely we must be heading toward our base in Wangaratta. No these bunnies popped up nearby! Our second visit to this cache (first 31 March 2012), this time in the excellent company of Suscoe.
**Note to CO** Cache contents soaked and the log is quite damp - sorry we had no spares left.
Our thanks to McAdies for placing this cache.

A 4 day trip from Adelaide to Everton, Beechworth and surrounds.
8 of South Australia's finest caching teams came across the border Freddo, Team Astro, The White Dog Gang, Four Fun, Unicycle, Southern Cross Caching, Shonkloic, and Team Waldron hit the bike trails and country back roads.
It wasn't nice the the mozzies were sent to defend the ceches against us but we persisted.
On the way home we visited Bendigo, St Arnaud and many towns in between.
Many thanks to all the cache owners who put out caches for us to find.
A great time was had and we left enough to make another trip worthwhile.

SAWSTUFF weekend with Astro, Waldron, SxC, TWDG, Uni, Four Fun and Freddo. Thanks McAdies
Found on an awesome trip with the SAW STUFF boys (Shonky, Astro[me], Waldron, Southern Cross, Whitedog, Unicycle, Freddo & Four-Fun). The trip had it all including this awesome cache. There were pots and schooners (no pints) , mazzive mozzies the size of small elephants we hitched rides on , realistic lizards, real live [xx(] kangaroos that got to close and uphills. Then there were bikes and pumps. There was sweat and dust but no tears. My thanks to the group and the coordination that enabled an amazing fun filled few days that will go down in caching-lore. [^]
Thanks to McAdies and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
Saw a hare. We CAME. We CACHED. We SAW STUFF. Eight South Australian caching teams on the prowl in Lake Victoria. We were attacked by vampire mosquitoes. We were attacked by rogue magpies. We were attacked by brown snakes. We were attacked by running kangaroos. We were attacked by publicans and cooks. In the end we got the message and went home, but not before finding lots of hidden cachey things using billions of dollars of satellites and cheap hand-held devices.
One of many fun finds on along the way on the "SAW STUFF" road trip to central Victoria with Shonki, Astro, Waldron, Southern cross, Twdg, Uni & Freddo [^]

#2059 A late afternoon walk with the geohounds along a short section of the rail trail picking up a few caches along the way. This was the first and nice easy find. The cache has obviously suffered from the excess water up in these parts of late. We emptied the water but the logbook is still very wet but we managed to write our name. TFTC McAdies.
I was on leave so plans were made to head to the Beechworth area with My good Mate the Roostaman, Today we mainlly spent the day riding from Everton to Wangarratta and picking up a few extras by car, was a most enjoyable day, we met BeettyBoo3747 nd robmc along the trail. TFTC. No rabbits this morning but a nice easy cache find as I ventured out on the bike for the first time in a long while. Everything in good order.
Found during a one-week roadtrip, caching around Mt Buffalo and surrounds (very wide surrounds ).
While stumbling around looking a nearby multi I searched for a few trads and made my way to GZ here. No rabbits around today, but I did see a fox nearby. And several cyclists.
Thanks, McAdies.

Found with Snickersallan on our second trip to Albury this year. Long hard slog today, not as young as I used to be
