Unfortunately this one is too hard to maintain remotely and we no longer have some of the information required so we are going to bury this one
This afternoon seemed like a good time to go for a walk on the southern side of cobblers creek.
I walked up the hill to the posted co ords and searched around but I was unable to find anything, a PAF was used and I was on my way. I soon found myself at GZ and the search began. A beehive near by and I was being careful because of it. I eventually found this one nicely tucked away

Alas poor Wurke! What a treacherous journey you undertook all those years ago. Thankfully, the Tiedye historians had preserved the remnants of history, although there has been little interest in this history of late.
It took several visits to where that single page of Wurke's diary was first discovered to uncover the hiding spot that has kept it safe all these years, but once the spider webs and weeds were cleared away, there it was. Following the ill fated journey of Wurke and Bills was no easy task. At one stage, the trail petered out and it was neccessary to delve into the historical archives to find the required information, and persistance paid off and made it possible to keep following the trail. Eventually, Wurkes final resting place was found and the grave uncovered. Any stranger who happened to stubble across this location, would have no idea of the significance of the place and the story that has been uncovered.
Many thanks to the original historians who uncovered the diary of Bills and made it possible for us to follw that ill fated journey from so many years ago. I stopped and paid my repects to those two intrepid explorers by adding name to the log book. Wurke and Bills, may your memory live on.

What to do today after a eye specialist appt?
Take those blurry eyes out for a walk and cache search!
Almost joined Mr Wurke when I abruptly came to the top of a small cliff at one WP.
An enjoyable walk in the park overall, and eventual find of the resting place of young Wurke.
Signed, and repectfully replaced.
Fav point applied for a neat caching experience!
Thank you for putting it out here TiedyeSmileys

Came back in the daylight to atone for my previous dnf.
Went to the GZ I had recorded and still couldn't find it... so re-did the whole multi!
All pages of the diary are in good nic, although one had been buried by ants.
Surprise surprise I had the same GZ! Damn...
Back at GZ... searched so more, then widened the search and found the grave about 10m from where the GPSr wanted me! Doh!
TNLNSL
Thanks for a great multi

Enjoyable multi. Keep up the interesting series. Found and took TB. Found with harper-22 and the geodogs. TFTC.
Anymules joined Mrs. SA. Sewer Rat and I for our now usual Tuesday caching adventures. [8)] Having achieved momentarily temporary Reel Nirvana on a recent Tuesday our plan for the day was to see if we could Anymules closer, rectify a few DNF's and find as many multi caches as we could. Leaving home at 8.00 a.m. and not returning to 1.00 a.m. you would think with 17 hours of daylight and nighttime caching I would have found hundreds. Not-so, We revisited quite a few that one or more had already done and multi-caches take a little longer than trads. Managed to find 30 caches but added three more DNF's to my list! [B)]
There is no easy way to access the graveyard - especially on a 35 degree day. It must have taken it's toll because I sat down to PAF. As I made the call Anymules found the cache barely six feet from where I found a log as a seat. Cute idea for a cache.

Found with Csaba! and SupaOrange before I had a caching name. A very late log. Turtle out.
Nearish to home. A family hike was done. 2.13km was our total trip back to the car. Thanks
Oh Wurke and Bills. If only you had travelled in a straight line instead of a circle. Found Wurkes remains which are well preserved near the Dig Tree. Left a PT. TFTC
Spent a very pleasant day wandering around the Cobblers Creek area with BFE and Featherwaite finding a nice mixture of traditional, multi and puzzle caches. We enjoyed this multi - well put together and a appropriate 'final resting place'. Thanks TiedyeSmileys for the cache.
Found in the company of Bob from Elsewhere and e.gregory1 during a caching foray in the Cobblers Creek area for the day. Thanks for the cache TiedyeSmileys!
Well this one has been a marathon for me to complete! Found the various waypoints over several visits, always running out of time to find the final, partly because Geowife doesn’t like hilly terrain due to an old knee injury. Out today for a walk by myself, so I was determined to complete this cache. Eventually arrived at GZ, but took quite a while to make the find, as the gps was jumping all over the place. By the time I found it, I was too late to save poor Wurke (by several years by the look of him ) TNLN SL Thanks for the cache & the adventure. I now know my way around this park much better! Added a favourite point for the effort involved in placing this cache.[^]
First find for 2017! Very well hidden. I attempted this one last year at least 3 times, and failed every time, but did get on top of it without even knowing. A nice sunny afternoon today called me to go geocaching again. It has been a while, and I forgot to bring the final coordinates from last time with me. I did have some coordinates written in my c:geo app so ended up back tracking to the third to last WP. Found the final coordinates finally, and went straight back to GZ. Spotted within seconds of arriving. Ahh what a relief! As one previous logger in the logbook wrote, it is a very lonely grave indeed. Thanks for bringing me on this journey. SL and Left Kinder-surprise toy.
On a hot afternoon armed with a satchel and some water The SBI McKinlay went searching for Wurke and Bills, having a nice evening avoiding work and bills. An enjoyable search continues and Wurke's grave was found, and condolences raised.
TNLN, thanks for a nice walk in a new park

Tried to do this one at same time as the nearby night cache, but came unstuck somewhere.
Will need to come back with less soursobs...
I note there has been someone in here spraying the thistles right at GZ where gpsr wanted us.

Bonza! Got out and about very early to beat the heat on a forecasted 39C day. A great multi close to home. All WP's and cache in great condition. TFTC!
I had an hour to spare before I had to pick up the grandkids from school, so had a go at this. Found all the WPs on a pleasant stroll around the park, but the final eluded me as I searched with one eye on my watch. Off to do the school run and back for another look. Ah, there it is! Great little multi....thanks TiedyeSmileys.
Found waypoints as we walked doing night cache and another cache. A great night to cache
Gotcha!
A return visit to GZ looked like it was going to go the same way as my first visit. I even returned to the previous way point to check the coordinates.
But, when all else fails, send a text message to a previous finder. 9 times out of 10, when I do that, the cache almost jumps out of its hiding place and does a dance in front of me. This was one of the nine. My lucky day!
Thanks TyedyeSmileys

I was chuffed to easily find all waypoints, as I can be a geo-clutz. Like the previous cacher I also could not find the last cache by the creek. I kept coming back to one point, but no cache. There has been a lot of rain. Has it been washed away? Thanks for the stroll. Might come back when confirmed by the Owner.

Fail!
A nice stroll in the park. I had little trouble finding the way points, but when it came to the final, I left empty handed. I might have to go back and check that I wrote down the final coords correctly.
ZZzz..
A nice stroll around a great park.
Found the grave site. Still in good condition 5 years on!
Another TDS Multi off the list

Tackled this cache with LeeRock.. was a great trek around the scub and really enjoyed doing this mutli. Thanks for the adventure.
Don't usually do many multis but decided to tackle this one as I had recently tried to hide a cache nearby but found it was to close to a waypoint from this one. Tackled this on warm day with loki'nap and enjoyed the walk and the good effort put into the multi. I took note of the wps so I can plot my hide a little further away.

Being a fantastic night weather wise, we headed of to do this one with Locus Cache & muggle partner Marcus. We made our way along the trails, a few bike riders were enjoying the lovely weather and riding through the park. At one point we weren't sure if we should go down there, as it turned out we had to! Great caution was taken after GeoMonkey's slip a few weeks ago which is still troubling him. Eventually arriving at the cache to find it being guarded by a scorpion. Did you know if you put scorpions under UV light they glow? Geowifey had her UV torch & camera handy capturing a photo of the cache guardian. SL, TNLN, TFTC

Oh boy, did we have fun!
Muggle partner, 3LG and I decided to get this cache off of my GPSr tonight and so we met just as the sun was setting to the west.
We walked, we chatted, we walked, we stopped Mr 3LG from being distracted by a nearby night cache, we walked, we searched for little people and their remains, we walked and we found.....a bluey green scorpion
One thing I was glad of was that we didn't accidentally find that HUGE hole as we were walking with our heads into our GPSr'swhile heading for the next WP!
Loved the walk, the area and the cache!

A fun romp through the parklands of Cobbler Creek. I had a great time following the trail of Wurke and Bills and finding Wurkes final stone tomb.
Thanks for the cache, TiedyeSmileys
I inadvertently took one of the protective baggies and while I was returning it, I met nice caching family who had started looking too.

I didnt plan on doing this cache but after having KittyKat asking for assistance, how could I say no. She showed me where she got to and said she couldnt find the last clue, she had been looking in this spot for a lengthy time. With in 15 seconds I got it :p
we then made our way to the final GZ and made the quick find. I would have liked to read the whole story and done the multi, I might do it with task master when he comes back to adelaide.

I did really well getting to the final clue for my first solo multi
This cache popped up while on a night owl quest last week so I had to give it a shot!
Co-ords were bang on and the time and effort that's gone into planning this is incredible!!
The diary pages are brilliant! What interesting adventures Bills and Wurke must have experienced!
I'd got to the last wp and started to dig, somehow, I missed the final clue! I'm sure I'd looked in there!
Called upon TASK MASTER JR who came to the rescue!
After 2 minutes, he produced the final page from the diary and was was able to locate Wurke's grave quickly on the way out!
It's clear that TiedyeSmileys had a great time placing this cache, and I had a great time finding it!
Thankyou!!
Picked up the robot TB to move along!

Found a while back, after our first attempt was shortlived due to muggled waypoint (that was back on Fathers Day ... how time flies). This time we made it all the way through. Typical entertaining TiedyeSmiley cache. Thanks again. Dropped off a trackable.
While picking up our secret santa present, decided to tackle a couple of the multi's near by. Enjoyed the stroll and the story.
Cheers and thanks for the cache and exercise

This was an enjoyable stroll in the reserve. Had fun following the diary notes. Cache is well hidden. had loads of laughs on the trail with the Burton's. TFTC TNLN SL. Thanks TideyeSmileys.
#869 I'm running out of superlatives to describe you guys - it's a real pleasure doing your caches. Got a chuckle at GZ here too. As a Melbournite with hundreds of Victorian finds under our belt, my wife and I agree that SA caches are, in general, more creative and interesting than Vic ones (hope no Vic people are reading this and take offence! ). A fav for this one also. Thanks yet again TiedyeSmileys.
The wayward 2nd Waypoint has been returned to its location and all ready to go.
I was granted a special present for Father's Day ..... as many caches as I wanted to do (I assume that meant without complaint from the geokids). What better way to spend this than with a few classic TiedyeSmiley caches. Unfortunately our quest started off with a DNF. Got to first WP, coords took us to a "bird sign" (no. 5), but could not find any more pages in Wurkes diary. Saw lots of turned over rocks to suggest we were looking in the right spot, but no diary. We did find a baby brown hiding under one of the rocks.
Although not dressed appropriately to go for a bushwalk, who can turn down a nearby cache??!!! A great story and a lovely walk - TFTC!!
We had an enjoyable walk in this park that we hadn't visited before. Cache was a bit exposed at GZ but hidden better now. Enjoyed following the story as we made our way. TFTC
Thanks TiedyeSmilies for a walk in the park. Another enjoyable cache not helped by having to return to a WP because I had entered the incorrect coords for the next WP.
A quick cache after work seemed like a good idea to find a rumored TB, it quickly turned into an epic night time adventure.
The adventure started out nicely with a quick early find but on the way to the next way point it seemed that our GPS was suffering like Wurke, sadly it met the same fate as Wurke near where he had his accident, Unfortunately a trip back to the car was in order to try and quick charge the GPS (it died again soon after). Never ones to give up especially on our First multicache we downloaded Geocaching live application onto our phone and completed the last two finds with it (little less accurate than our WurkeGPS) so we spent quite a lot of extra time scrounging around in the dark till we found Wurkes Grave.
All in all an awesome time was had by us both and our K9-GPS unit Woodleigh

Found with Cottons Crew on a warm Sunday arvo Found half a baby brown snake on the trek. Took TB left TB. TFTC
It was a lovely spring day when historians went to track down the final moments of Wurke's doomed expedition around the wilderness.
After trapsing through the wilderness pushing the geo-baby's cart through the bush to the last known point of Wurke's travels, a scrap of diary was found heading us further into the wilderness. After carefully avoiding the muggle school children walking through the bush the heroic historians came along to the next location that had been made known to them and lo and behold the location of the next scrap of diary was spotted. As the excited historians hand proceded to recover the next scrap of hidden diary he jumped back as the diary's guardian (a 6 inch brown snake) slithered off from next to the diary.
Once the diary had been safely (and somewhat tentatively) recovered the historians proceed off down a track after 100M the historians realized they had proceed off in the wrong direction. Quickly heading onto the correct path they aproached the next location only to discover that a group of feral muggle children where loitering near the diary scrap... oh the conundrum, do they give up and come back another day or work out something? Lo and behold one of the historians came up with a cunning plan to move the muggles along.
Walking bravely into the muggles and saying the following "I need to take some pictures of the nearby rocks for a Uni Assignment, is that ok?" to that the mention of school work the muggle children announced that they where off and quickly fled away into the bush scared off by the mention of homework. The diary scrap was recovered and the feral muggles fire was also extinguished!
Excited to be approaching the final location the historians where off to the next scrap of diary, two possible locations where spotted that the diary could be, one historian zigged and the other zagged, who will get the diary scrap? The elder historian yelled in glee as he found the final piece of parchment "YAY that makes all of them!" Then a somber mood came over the party as they read of Wurke's death and the final location of his body.
It was with a heavy heart that the historians proceeded into the valley that marked the final resting place of Wurke. The site of his body was reverently revealed and a moment silence was observed (except by geo-baby who kept giggling) and a token was placed to mark his final resting place.
Then with energy rapidly fading the historians trudged back up the hill to the car pushing geo-baby up the hill as she smiled and giggled at the historians, who had finally let their weariness show.
Thank you for the cache once again we where amazed at the high quality of your caches and look forward to doing more of them!

The daughter wanted some exercise, so chose this unfound close to home cache to do. I had a nice stroll through the bush, but she complained about the steep (?) climbs. Just no satisfying some people. Enjoyed the hike, and the find. Took tape, left roo. TFTC.
After coming unstuck at a waypoint in the dark, it was much easier to finish this off in the daytime. Loved the cache container and the construction of the cache. In some ways it would have been much more satisfying to complete this in the dark, but beggers can't be choosers!
Our 100th multi. Another great multi. I love the effort that goes into these. Took TB TFTCSL

Had a great time progressing through the waypoints with this one while we were completing another nearby cache, until we got to the rendevous point and got thoroughly stumped. We'll have to come back some other time and have a better look in the daylight.
Lovely views, nice and peaceful, who would believe we were so close to roads.
The boys found a bee hive near GZ.
We were worried we were running out of daylight and we had left the torches in the car.
It was a great walk thankyou so much.

Election night and Mrs Parrot is glued to the Tv Screen from 6pm having her own election party.
So Mystery Girl and Mr Parrot stole away to go caching in Cobbler creek.
We had a lovely walk exploring the area and picked this cache and night owl to while away the evening.
Dark by the time we found this one. I was walking in circles and saying things like "I dont understand it the GPSr says it's 2 metres from here." Then walking off to check other areas. Mystery trusted the GPS and looked a bit harder and came up a winner.

I've been plugging away at this one for several weeks, while my daughter was at swimming lessons.
It seemed that I would just find the next waypoint, when it was time to set of back to pick her up.
Eventually found the final resting place for Werke this evening. This was quite a journey and very satisfying to finally nail it.
Each waypoint was extremely well hidden, and it is great to have this bushland on our doorsteps. Thanks TDS.

A well constructed multi with an entertaining story, and a pleasant walk through this section of Cobbler Creek. What more could you ask for? Found all the waypoints easily enough, but my expedition had a lot of trouble at GZ... took a long time to spot GZ for some reason.
Took towel, left tape measure & shreader TB

Absolutely excellent. What else can we say. We were thoroughly sick of doing boring urban caches, worrying about muggles, traffic etc, and just wanted to get out of the city and back into the bush. It's great that these patches of bush have been preserved right in amongst suburbia. Set off on our adventure and were delighted with what we found at the first waypoint, and indeed at each subsequent waypoint. Interesting what's on top of the hill near WP4 - thought that might have been GZ! Had a good laugh when we found the final (took a while as sat loc dodgy today due to the weather). Loved the story woven into this cache, and really appreciate all the time and effort which has been put into this fantastic multi cache. It has inspired us to create a "Favourites" bookmark. Took the TB and left a camping towel. Didn't notice the geocoin, but it might have been there. Thanks heaps for a brilliant cache.
Dropping in a bug which wasn't recorded. Will write our 'found' log later when we have more time - it deserves a decent log!
was a great cache with a great story line to go along with it! did take us a while tho!
We started off from The Grove Way, making the trip almost twice as long as GZ was more than 800 metres away. Had no trouble locating waypoints, all in good condition and not hard to locate. The only mistake we made was taking the wrong trail at the big bird, so we had to hike down a steep hillside. All of us enjoyed the story and the walk, well done TiedyeSmileys! Picked up geocoin to move it along. Took Canadian beaver, left inflatable airplane. TFTC
Probably the best cache we've ever done yet. Took some newbies along with us and feel sorry for them because this is now there standard... An excellent cache with a cool story line, enjoy the walk and the places it took us. Thanks very much!! Left TB
A great afternoon walk through a secluded park with some interesting sites, the 'mountain range' in particular. Found Wurke's resting place just as it began to rain. Took Cruise Baby Joanne TB from the tomb as her time hasn't come yet. Thanks TiedyeSmileys for a well constructed cache.
After doing the excellent "Way to El Dorado" a few months ago this cache was at the top of our "To Do" list. Today was finally the day when everyone was available, the kids were happy (enough), it wasn't raining and the planets were aligned so we made the drive out this way. Well, it didn't disappoint and turned out to be another fantastic journey through a lovely park we hadn't visited before. It's a shame more people don't take the time to do these well thought out multis. They're so much more interesting than a simple container under a random bush.
Thanks for the adventure TiedyeSmileys!

When this was first published I had a read of the story and immediately knew it was going to be a good one. Loved the well-though out tale and thought it very amusing.
The actual journey proved to be every bit as good as I thought it would be and this cache ticked all the boxes for me [^].
The clues were all well made and relevant, the countryside was perfect and made for a very nice walk on a mild winter’s day. The end cache had a nice little touch to it as well .
Great stuff T.D.S. This is going straight to my ‘favourites’ list. I made no swaps, but put in a personalised (non-trackable) coin in there to say thanks for the cache. Only thing is – if you want it, you’ll have to trek in and retrieve it . Thanks again .

Took Geocoin AUE7EV left lanyard This is what I like about cache finding is caches like this....Thanks for it
Dragged my father and his Geo-doggies out for a nice walk this morning.
I was quite impressed by the creativity of this cache. It was a very inventive cache indeed I may have to create something similar for back home in the NT.
A minutes silence was observed for poor Wurke prior to placing a GC in memory of his loss.

Found the cache at 9.30am. Loves your multi. Enjoyed walk along to final cache. Sad about Wurke's Grave. Good spot... No swap. SL. Thanks TiedyeSmileys for organising the cache and hunt.
After the no find last time along the way, success at last. The tale did not end in tragedy as there were three of us this time. Perhaps 2 is a recipe for disaster - as history teaches us.
Found the grave site and documented it carefully. (pics)
Clear skies and out thanx to TiedyeSmileys from TeamAstro and partners.
Had a great time on this one until Mr and Mrs Yoink! could not find wp 4. The non-daylight saving dusk got the better of us and we will have to return another time. Great spot, wonderful story and the closest cache to our house. thanks and looking forward to returning.
Checked out the security fence for the quarry along the way between WP's - FAIL - wouldn't advise doing this one at night [xx(].
A nice little walk this morning, with a neat little coffin at the end - how cool !
Took Pluto. Left rope knot. SL.
Thanks TiedyeSmileys.

"We struggled across the world's most wretched terrain, with no food or water supplies and facing constant attacks by hordes of flies. 'Nay a drop of water was to be found along the journey, and we believed we'd surely perish in our search for the grave of Wurke". Well, not really - it was actually pretty easy, but we loved the idea and the story behind it. Thankfully, caching expeditions aren't as ill-fated or unlucky as the Wurke and Bills expedition. This is definitely one of the more interesting, well-planned and entertaining multis we've done, and the final location is a masterpiece! All it needs is an emblazoned coolibah tree to complete the picture. TFTC Tiedye Smileys!
Decided to head towards the northern suburbs today & clean out a couple!
This was the first spot and it was good to get the blood circulating. Pity Bill cant say the same
Thanks for a fun find again Tiedyesmileys

Find 532 without a GPS at 3.00pm
Friday the 13th is lucky for some.
A nice day for a walk in Cobbler's Creek
Found exactly where I thought it would be.
Took the Travel Bug
Thanks to TiedyeSmileys for the cache.

Back from the riverland so off to pick up a close to home multi.
Nice story line, it got the geoson hooked and he just wanted to keep on going and going. But the sun was setting and I had the geodaughter in a backpack on my back and she was getting heavier and heavier, so I was glad to find the final cache location.
A fair bit of work obviously went into this cache and I must say it is one of the better caches I have done recently.
Thanks for the excuse to exercise the legs after the drive home and also the oppurtunity to get out into Cobbler Creek Recreation Park again.

Loved this cache. Fantastic theme. Very well thought out, and laid out. Absolutely loved the grave too. Poor Wurke, nothing but bones remaining.
It's worth noting that between WP1 and WP2 you need to get onto the fire trail. This can be achieved through a break in the fence between some large boulders and a tree you would have to duck under if you followed the path.
Took 2 x Coins, Left 1 x Coin.
TFTC. Bookmarked as a favourite.
I was so tempted to go for this one but at 10pm and facing a multi at night I think I'll just leave it to chance and see how things transpire tomorrow morning.
Ahhhh!!! Another new cache close to home and I'm up at Renmark for the long weekend. Ahhhh!!!
