Cache all shiny new and dry, well hidden in a very obvious spot for the trained eye. Lovely reserve that I wasn't aware of. Will be back. Thanks for this little gem and for the cache!
After 15 years in the wild the container was in great shape, not clear why it has so much water given it is sheltered from the weather. Replaced with a new 400ml snap lock and fresh log book. All good to go again.
With this being recently found a couple of times, I thought I would try my luck on this one again.
There's one obvious place that would make sense for a cache but didn't seem to be there.
So I continued to other hints, thinking maybe my phone signal was hampered by the trees. Nope, nope, and nope.
Texted a friend but received no reply (until later).
Hmm, so I returned to that one obvious place and peeked around the corner where the cache was sitting all along.
Don't ya hate it when that happens?
And yes, I could not sign as it was totally drenched.
Cheers.
Sleepy was here!

#221. Handy night light made this a good find on this night. Slog was paid off with the find however didn't sign due to no pen and wet log. TFTC.
Thanks for hiding. Log book is very soggy, I couldn't write init, just thought I'd let you know
What am amazing spot. Cache and log very wet. Did sign but will need help as everything was under water. Thanks for bringing us here. Found d with ablights
Parked along Bing Lucas Drive to get the Above the trees of Tawa cache and then decided to get the other two in the area as well. Straightforward find. Thanks for placing the cache
An interesting little reserve I've previously walked through here with a walking group from Bing Lucas Drive but did not have time to do any caching Today I made it to the Seclusion cache which was good fun in the damp underfoot conditions - I took it very easy going in there This one is in a much more civilised spot The view from the clearing has long since been blocked by the young trees so a visit with pruning saw would be useful if anyone feels the urge No maybe not
The guardian looks like a big hinau to me and allowed an easy find Log dampish but still in reasonable nick
Thanks -gonefishing-

Part of my attempt to clear my logging backlog. Found with aeshna_uk on a very pleasant loop walk around the reserve. TFTC!
No clearing here anymore. Took a while to find. Nice walk through the bush. Signed log and replaced where found. TFTC.
Nice to be able to visit the park and find a couple of caches. This one was easy following the hint, well done CO.
Nice quick find at a likely guardian specimen. Would never have known this track existed were there not a cache here
Nice find as per hint. Not so much of a clearing right now! All good in cache. Tftc!
Missed this first and decided to carry on up to the road above now the track is there. Discovered though on the way back. A cool hiding place that hadn’t been disturbed fir sometime I think!
Friends of Tawa bush now have an audio guide for this track- must come back sometime when I’ve downloaded Sound Cloud

I think I found the tree ie. Guardian but nothing around the feet. I need more clues! This sport is too hard!
Lovely day for a walk in this peaceful reserve. Nice easy find. Kids will love this one - cant wait to bring my two up to look for it. TFTC.
what a beautiful place for a geocache, never been here before, nice quick loop with the kids, cache quickly found, log damp but signable, great hiding spot, TFTC
Out and about on a calm, sunny day in Autumn with team geocacher Mr. T seeking a few caches. This was an easy find (thanks to the hint). This is a very pleasant area to walk in. Picked up the TB. Thanks for placing a cache here, first time we've been along these pathways.
Nice easy find on a stroll around the loop. Mapped the path to add it to OpenStreetMap.

I'd forgotten my way around this reserve and my map didn't match reality. So just followed paths until I was close enough then started searching. Found an obvious hiding place, had a look and there it was. Nice location. TFTC.
#1659. Been away for the past few days on a field trip and not able to do any geocaching. So when I got back today decided to head out to Tawa to do a bush walk and pick up a few caches. This one is on a really attractive bush walk with huge native trees. Really impressive forest remnant. When I got to the GZ I admired the forest giants and saw a possible hiding spot. But the GPS suggested it was still 10-15m further away so went and searched there. But nothing was found. Then realised the GZ had shifted and was much closer now to the spot that looked promising initially. Checked there and soon had the cache in hand. Signed the dry log and returned as found. Thanks for showing me this awesome forest remnant.
Went on quite a trek across Tawa to grab a few more caches...lots of fun taking 4 dogs up the track which was showing a bit of rain damage...quick find once there. Tftc
Actually found (and logged) this one back on 14 June 2010, but thought I'd stop by and see how it was doing while on a little stretch of the legs after a birthday day that started with a champagne breakfast with my family. Found with a friend who is fast becoming as enthusiastic about finding these little things as I am. Cache all safe and sound
Been meaning to do this one for a while. Gilgul and I took a walk here today - first time in this part. easy find. TFTC

An interesting place to go after dark! Didn't see a clearing - must have grown over since the cache was placed. But the guardian was an easy find, and so was the cache - it was quite obvious and on its end; not the way I would have expected a geocacher to have left it. Perhaps a muggle or an animal using the hidey hole? I pushed it a bit further in. Third find for this evening trip; TFTC,
#104 Nice day for an Easter sunday stroll and a chance to find another local walkway. A quick picnic stop at the lookout after the steady climb gave us a chance to get our bearings. Quick find...and the Easter Bunny had been caching! Quite cool to be the 100th "found it" too. TFTC
Yay! found it, left the Easter egg for the next person... I've had too much chocolate already TFTC
Found it easy enough but also found another cache close by from 07! No longer on the system!
Found with family who live nearby and have now found a new walk. Lovely cool spot and nice views.
#1123 Awesome reserve here- absolutely stunning. It was the perfect afternoon to have a wander- we took in the views at the lookout and then continued to the very well hidden cache. Great spot, TFTC!
Relatively quick find while out and about collecting a few caches with tmann421 today. I really enjoy these kinds of walks and worthy of a favourite. Thanks for bringing me here to this lovely spot and TFTC
Found it. Was thrown off when I found what looks like a old letter box cache near by and couldn't work out why there were no current logs written in it.
Never been into this little park before. Accompanied all the way to cache site by a couple of fantails. The gaurdian of the cache was not keen to let it go but eventually extracted. TFTC
Very nice spot! Quick find on a beautiful day. Had to hide quickly as a jogger came past just as I found it. Got away with it though. Tftc
No luck today. Arrived at the trailhead just on dusk, and needed the torch by the time I reached the lookout. GPSr was all over the place, had to rely on the hints and info in the listing. I got fixated on a particular "guardian" that had a posse that looked perfect. Looked around but nothing emerged. Starting getting the bush-at-night heebie-jeebies!
Quick walk through the bush with jamjar. Found this quickly. Nice views over Tawa from the lookout.

Find number 5 for the day. Out with Woodweaver.
Left a little something behind to continue on its journey.

Found it today thanks to helicotper1919. A great walk in the bush too. TFTC to the cache owner.
Was where we thought it would be on arrival at GZ, just very nicely hidden! TFTC
What a great hiding place and in such a lovely location. Tui and kereru to keep you company. Cache in order and returned safely TFTC
A lovely piece of bush, a little slippery underfoot after rain lately but cache nice and dry. Tftc
I reckoned as I wasn't going up to Bing Lucas drive the 'path closed' sign didn't affect me Cache was exactly where I thought it ought to be, and duly signed and returned to it's lair. TFTC - a really neat little reserve I would never have visited otherwise!

Quick find on 'closed track'. Explored a little further along the track. This will be a slippy muddy track to Bing Lucas in the future.
Saturday afternoon caching. This one on the list 'to do'.
Done at the same time as Mexted Seclusion and enjoyed this very pleasant patch of bush.
Straightforward find, cache in order, log signed and cache re-hidden safely.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Took slightly longer than it needed to, but starting to get dark in the bush, being after 8.30pm Saturday evening. Anyway that's my excuse. Very pleasant reserve. TFTC.
Cache #907 - absolutely stunning little park. Never knew it existed. Did this on an early morning walk. Easy find. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Find #5 for the BammJam family - we've done this bushwalk before, but never been onto the offshoot where this cache was. TFTC
