Nice drive and the view is okay as the tree's are really to tall. We spent at least 15 minutes and Sadley a DNF as there is rubbish, broken glass and the shelter has had a party or two and been hit around. Suggest a drive out to check cache is still there. Don't know why people don't take there rubbish to the BL---- dump. cheers

Looked right at but did not see it, thanks to Gadet-Tron (my mentor) who found it.

GPS accuracy was woeful here. Used the hint to narrow down the search area. Still took a few minutes to find as cammo had it matching the surroundings well. Giving ZuluImpi101 a lesson in well cammoed caches today and G-2 caches are great examples. TFTC

Spent a view days visiting a friend further up the road.
Found this on the way back.
Nice views, we were lucky to enjoy that for 3 days.....

Seems that the bushes have grown a bit, but still a great view - especially if you're tall Smile Nice reason to come along this road, for a more scenic route south.

A sneaky little hide that is only blatently obvious to a geocacher. Yep muggles galore, but the sitting down tip worked nicely.

Fantastic view. Quick find on the way back from an FTF at Pakiri. TFTC!!!

Thanks for a great view, from a road we wouldn't usually take. Added a couple of wooden creatures and a dolphin charm. TFTC

Labour Weekend - Originally, we wanted to try our new tent on the camping ground in Pararaha Valley, but that was booked out to the last place. So we switched to the alternative program: Matakana and surroundings.
We didn't bring a chainsaw, but a car. Rumo considered climbing onto the roof of the bus stop, but restricted himself to the roof of our car instead. Great view from there. See http://www.panoramio.com/photo/28174692

Took a drive around the headland via Pakari to come back over the hill to do this one. Very sharp contrast in weather (and views) on either side of the range.

Took 5 of us way too long to find it, three of us had looked right next to it before I stood on it.
Thats one way to find it.

Wow! Very cool views from between the trees.
Cache was exposed but its camo was probably helping keep it safe. We moved it a metre to the right so it was hidden better. Its still in the same area though.

Out on a rainy day with the team - hey, rain hasn't stopped us yet! Cache wasn't hidden, but we tidied it up and replaced so it was a little more out of the way. Could do with some attention though...TFTC

Cache must have been muggled. I found it in an open and very conspicuous place and minus the log book. Kayaknkiwi replaced the log book and I gave it a new plastic bag to keep it dry. Thanks for bringing us here, Glyn and Kay. Unfortunately, we can't see any views today. A winter storm arrived and it's raining sideways. Time for Indiana Jill, BookwormMum, Kayaknkiwi and I to head into town for a nice hot cuppa!

SB came up with the good here . . . . KnK drove us up with BWM navigating and reading notes. Sorry to find a cache that I think had been muggled. It was nearly empty with no log book, tho' the cache note is still there. Between us all we replaced log sheet in a plastic bag, so it's ok for the time being.

Bit of a detour on the way south, but worth it as it allowed lunch from the Matakana Patisserie. Good views alright, alas only a phone camera too.
