To many rabbits. It has disappeared down a hole. The bananas had no luck here.
Spent some time looking in all the rabbit holes and still didn't find. We even waited for some other Caches to depart and observed them scratching around. Great location and hints, clues etc.

DNF on the previous multi I attempted, DNF on this one! The clues were easy to follow (and no evil dogs to be seen) however the cache wasn't in an easily visible spot. I could kind of understand that the area pools up with water in the wetter months, sounds like somebody moved the cache according to the logs. However I wasn't able to spot it under the thorns. I wish people would drop more hints on caches that are tough to find or could have been moved.
First off we wrote down the wrong numbers, then we ended up on the wrong side of the tracks. Realised our mistake, re entered the co ords, thought we were looking good but turned up a DNF ! Liked the old station though ! Will try again soon.
Out with Dee Fer Dad. Curiously followed suspicious roadside stoppers. Great to meet "Tigersden" out caching. Thankyou.
Warning- cache is a bit damaged due to leakage.

I didn't find it today.... and like another cache near by, where cachers are asked to make a choice, I think it's a toss up between the rabbits and the dog. Did the rabbits carry it into their burrows, or did the dog chew it?..
who muggled the cache?? lol
thank you feathertop for the hunt.

Enjoyed this nice, quick multi. Found the final prize a little hard to find but I think that's because it had been moved slightly off to a dryer place.
My only advice to others is to look a couple of metres beyond where the final coords take you.
The cache was quite damp, but I think in the new position it will dry out soon enough.

In the company of Daynaduc and our grandson, we all enjoyed doing this multi cache and finding out information of this area as well as seeing the old Carlsruhe Station now a residence. Grandson found the cache and after relacing the plastic bag inside as contents of cache was wet, it was returned to hidding place. Not that long after a train went by! [^] TFTC The Feathery Duo
Easy Multi cache with Julie&GGs. Unusual area with the V-Line trains passing by the only house which would have been the orignal station house a few years back. Left Travel Bug

Watch out for the two dogs that live in the old station - they are not friendly at all with other dogs and tried to attack ours when the lady living in the station let them out. TFTC.
Nice quick find by Mrs. on hometurf with Doc, Geogrannie and Geokid 1. Love finding out a bit more of local history. Cache was uncovered and wet- needs some maintainence -log book mouldy. Wiped out and hid better. Took Geisha left smiley badge. TFTC.

Found in the company of the fiancé at 1500 on a cold, windy and drizzly day researching places for dinner for our day next March.
Having an average lunch in Woodend, we thought we'd kill around 4 hours in the area by caching.
What a lovely blue stone building. We both wonder how serene this location would be during the times the trains pass by daily.
Thanks feathertop for this cache.

Found as the last Carlsruhe group search for the day. Little damp in the cache, the log book has early signs of mould. Interesting part of the country, I wonder how people can live right next to a railway line...probably no worse than living under a flight path...
GPSr said that GZ was in a paddock and so did google earth so is that true or?

Had been out here about 6 weeks ago but GZ was not accessible due to plenty of water lying around after soon heavy rain. Today however the ground was dry, grass was cut and an easy find due to good co-ordinates. TFTC
Once the coords were right it was an easy find. Cache beagles had a great time but were no help at all.
This is one of those areas with alot of history that not many other than cachers will be made aware of. There was a curly haired brown dog that thought I was his best friend. Accurate co-orfidnates provided an easy retrieval of the cache. I took a miniature tool, and left a pig (toy of course). TFTC
5th find of the day, and 2530th total find at 16:05.
A very interesting location. Hopefully there is some really good soundproofing on the other side of the building!!

What a great place to live, if a bit risky for young kids. I'd love to live in a place like this.

This is another very interesting historical spot. We're not sure if we would like to live in a railway station while the tracks are still active but at least this way the building will still be preserved. We found the information about the school fascinating, we haven't heard of this sort of thing happening before. Once we had all the information we headed off to gz where the GPSr led us directly to the cache location

Found another. They say this train station is haunted! Well we were there during the day so didnt see any ghosts haha. Signed log book and took tape measure, left pliers. TFTC

i was not even 10 meters away on the side of road,
but this time i found with aaron and the kids
took tape measure left fold up pliers
even got the chance to see the train go past lightning fast the kids loved it

Found at 17:45. A slight muck up with numbers had me searching amongst the archaeology of the some of the now defunct siding structures. I had just come from down the line where I was kicking up rocks looking for remnants of the old Redesdale Junction Station site so it was wholly appropriate that I should follow on from that by searching throught fabric of another of the old branch line junctions off the Bendigo Line. However a re-assessment of my calculations brought the cache to hand.

The first of the day up in an area we have been to a few times for caching.
No problems in finding the right road in and after parking so we didn't need to get out of the car for the information we headed to GZ.
A quick find by GabGab at this location made for a nice easy find for the first.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks The Feathery Duo for this cache experience today. The old station was obviously built to stay. As they say, they don't build them like this any more.

I found this cache with caughtatwork and mummy today. We were able to drive up to the sign so I helped daddy from the back seat. When we got to the right location I found the cache. That made me very happy. Thank you.
We sought this one out to place a train TB we picked up in WA. A quick offest with no errors and a quick find. TFTC - would love to have a look inside.
I haven't been here since I worked on surveying the equipment along the line. I don't know how any one could live so close to the train line, they must really love trains. Found the cache pretty quick. TNLNSL

This one probably caused me most trouble on my tour around the Macedon area today - not because it was a difficult hide, but because my TomTom (as it is wont to do) lead me on a bit of a wild goose chase. After directing me along a road which probably once lead to the station (and may still do - but there's a "No Through Road" sign indicating otherwise) I was forced to turn back (after exploring a couple of other possibilities) - but, luckily, I'd noticed a sign just a bit earlier on which indicated a route to the station, so I headed back there and managed to find my way ok. Again, I was suitably impressed by the construction of the building - they must have been strong back then to lug all that bluestone around - and I can't help but wonder why such an insignificant little spot could require such a well-built, two-storey building? Anyway, after working out a GZ, the cache was a nice, quick find.
TNLN
Thanks again feathery ones
PS The old station is occupied, I take it, as there was a dog barking and washing on the line - I wonder what the occupants do?

We'd encountered the beginnings of the night time mist on our way to the WP. I managed to read the necessary bits of information from within the warmth of the car (it was definitely getting cold outside), and then we made our way to GZ. It was entirely apt -- and a bit eerie and exciting -- to have a train come past out of the darkness floating on the lowlying drifts of fog just as we had found the cache. Thanks to the Feathery Duo for a bit of history, a starry night, and a train moment.
It was cold and completely dark when Sam Carter and I pulled up at Wpt1. Using the car headlights, we gathered the required answers without the need to get out of the car. From there, we headed off to GZ where the cache was quickly located. WIth both being city dwellers, we admired just how many stars can be seen when away from the city. While logging the cache, we were able to watch a passenger train thunder past. Thanks for the cache.
That lovely old stationis now someones lovely house. The info was found easily and as is my want I made a very basic error! However it was fixed soon enough and the cache easily found, thanks to the Fearther Duo.

I was surprised to this is now a private residence, what a beautiful home! Convenient too if you want to take a train somewhere! . After stuffing up the maths I recalculated a smarter GZ that wasn't on the tracks and signed the log.
Thanks for showing me this neat little place, I've seen churches turned into houses, school building turned into houses and now an old station.
Cheers,

The station is a lovely building, I have been here a few time before. Bit dark to get a good look at it tonight. Grabbed the numbers and moved the car away from the barking dogs.
Thanks, Robmc.

Last one on return from Bendigo. It's after dark now so we didn't see as much as we'd like to of the old station but found all that was required to find the cache. Also found a few barking dogs which made us feel like we needed to get this done and out of there before the resident came out brandishing wepons. That didn't happen by the way!
Thanks flying feathers for the cache!

Another place to see in the daylight. Cache was an easy find at night although we were concious of the dogs near by barking up a storm. The old station looks good in the picture though. Signed log and got out of there, woof, woof. Thanks feathery duo for the cache.

The last for the day on our return trip home from Melbourne. Another fascinating snippet of history - they are still trying to close small schools!
As we signed the log a train passed by - much faster than the station was ever built for I imagine!

On the way to our grand daughters 21st birthday celebrations provided us with the opportunity to search for your hide, a very pleasant interlude from our recent commitments, which have been curtailing any geo adventures on our part!
We signed the log and made no exchange.
Thank you Feathery Duo for providing us with this challenge.

It was bitterly cold here this morning so once at WP1 it was a quick dash to the sign to get the numbers then back to the car for the calculations. The walk to GZ was almost as quick and the cache was thankfully a quick find.

Found by Mary & David at 1200. These old bluestone stations still look great. An interesting piece of history that is more significant for us having done the CHTR caches. Our thanks to The Feathery Duo.
Found by Team Ladava 3 pm while dodging the showers and trying our new GPS.
It's nice to be out and about caching after my recent surgery.
A lovely bit of bluestone history and complements our Carlsruhe series nicely.
By contrast with the history while we were there a modern Sprinter train rushed past.
