Had to move the hide location considerable due to developments in the area. Archiving this listing and creating a new one.
Waiting on the reviewer to update the final co-ordinates, as the final location has been moved considerably so we are not able to do it ourselves
The new location is 37 44.762 175 13.786
The new location is 37 44.762 175 13.786
But the co-ords for the now enabled cache are the same ones for the original listing [?]
So nothing has changed [?]

Nothing but construction at the indicated GZ, and no idea of where the new hide may be. Owner hasn't bothered to update the page since advised of the new hide in June.
On the bright side there was a gathering of 10 AC Cobras at the sight, bloke heaven!

Owners need to update co-ords so others know where thescoobydoos but the cache.
GZ is just a pile of rubble at the moment.

Found the cache lying exposed in a drainage hole, due to major maintenance and digging that has been going on in this area. We had to move the cache to a nearby location to ensure its safety for future cachers...have contacted the cache owner to advise of this situation and advise of the update location details.

Quick grab after finishing off our job for the evening… no muggles about this late… wonder why?

Can remember what this used to be like - boy has it changed. This hide is in a really public place, and has some tape around it just now. However that didn't stop us getting it. You'd need to time your visit carefully, we arrived at dusk so hardly anyone round. TFTC
Great spot, quite a few muggles around but managed to retrive and hide again with no-one noticing. TFTC
Quite a few people out on the weekend. Just happened to park in front of it and jump out quickly and get it. TFTC
[font=Arial Black]Busy place today, but at least its not raining here like it is in Auckland.[font=Verdana]

Tried parking the cycle in the car park but it did not take up enough room to be a good screen so had to come back with a car. Then it was easy.

Mums find.Deserted area easter sunday late afternoon.
Could be tricky on any other sunday TFTCSL.

No commercialism other than buses running today. Perfect time to nab this cache. Quick retrieval, uplift of the TB and cache rehide.
Thanks

Pretty busy today, but a quick swoop in to pick up, then return after signing seemed to do the trick. Thanks for the history.
Found about 8:45 pm this evening. Not many people around. Liked the hint. Many thanks.
With the hint, this became an instant find, a lot easier than we thought it would be.
+ a marble, - nothing.

#237. We usually try to avoid this particular place although the traffic in and out has improved with recent road widening. Busy today, as usual, but parking close by made for an easy find.
+ 1 US cent and a hippo TB (just!)
One of our TBs was apparently there, but it wouldn't have fitted so we will have to follow it up.

Very hard to do at 11:00am on a Sunday Morning. Lots of Traffic and Muggles around.

Parked close by. Hid from muggles. Find was a complete success as we not only found the cache but good looking team members made no attempt to shop ........ how can this be?

After reading all the interesting stories associated with this cache and the race to claim it we had to come ourselves and see what all the fuss was about - seems you have entries at both ends of the log book!! What a busy spot, not the sort of area a Geckoh normally visits! TNLN TFTC

GC drop. This one has been circling around the Auckland area long enough. It's time to move down South.
Our first find in the dark. No body around so it was easy to fossick around and found it quickly. picked up geocoin un4ht3 TFTC
too close to home to ignore. very busy spot in day light but no problem at night. TFTC
Found after work today Nil in or out. When the base was closed members of the Livingstone family who owned the land that was taken were offered it back but they had to buy it so they declined and hence it then going to the Maori
The Freezer Mice strike again!!!
Saw this come up on the night but having just finished work was far too buggered to even try for the FTF.
Decided for the much more relaxed find today instead.

Knocking off the new Trad caches published in last 24 hrs.
As I mentioned in my log this is just up the rd for me.
Silly me had forgotten to add the GPX file to my Colorado so I had to go native today.
That is used the Geocaching.com application for Iphone.
Previously Ive had problems with accuracy but today seemed to be fine once I let everything settle down.
Easy find thanks

Noticed Twigster's log, so I took another visit out to GZ this afo to have a look at what may have happened. Dude, you signed the back of the book (as did Sattech). So when we opened the front up we thought we were first! Bugger. Good to see the next set of logs have followed our lead though
Looks like you beat us by half an hour too, so we will have to settle for first to log instead. Well done, only sorry we missed meeting you!

Bugga on the night shift and just got up so will miss the fun for these new ones. Whats worse just up the rd from home !!
I saw that my dad a,k,a GuanoGerbil was going to do a geocache. So I said to him can I go with you? And then he said yes you can and you can tell your brother a,k.a [:x]OmaGosh. Then we left the house and set off to find the geocache. When we got there we looked to see if there were any other geocachers around the place but we couldnt see any one so we found the cache thinking that we would be second or third to find but when we opened the log it said ..................Nothing we were first to find yay alright awesome. Then we climbed up on some hills and waited to see if any other geocachers came. But there weren't any more.

After the base closed and years before it became "The Base" our caterpillars enjoyed the skating inside one of the abandoned buildings... oh, the history of this place.
An easy joint FTF with the merry gerblings (OmaGosh & 49er princess). Didn't think we'd be first by any means, but thought we might get there in time to be part of the inevitable 'mini event' that these new local caches seem to be producing lately. We sat and waited for a while, and played on the swings nearby. The three hills are a lot of fun running up and down, and pretty exciting whilst giving the kids piggybacks at speed in the dark! A bit disappointing no one else arrived, but the kids had a lot of fun and the late night before school was an unexpected bonus - especially since they'd just got into bed when I saw this one come up.
Coordinates were spot on, and the history lesson enjoyable thanks.

Well this was my lucky night as it was my first of three FTFnds.
Well that’s what I thought until I read the log’s?
Saw the cache come up as I was standing at the computer at the time. So I put the co-ords into the GPS and out the door I was. Had the cach in hand within 15min’s of it being published. Got the log book out looked at the front looked at the back no log’s Yeeehaaaa FTF. Logged quickly and left before any other cachers arrived, however I think another cacher was close behind me?
I don’t know if I singed the front of the log book or the back as I was trying to log it in haste so I hope it’s in the right place. The FTF may need to be asses by a judicator however I’m not worried either way?
This was a very informative cache and the history I was unaware of so thank you Sweak and Geo-goober for a great cache.

Well this was fluke was on the computer when this came and I live just around the corner so I made a mad dash for it. I got there and saw a car driving off. Found the cache and a log by Twigster. Must say I did not check the back of the book so I can’t tell you if there were any other log’s? TFTC
