Found with dty73 and youban on our Yorke Peninsula invasion! All logs signed DTY (dty73/Tankengine/youban). - Had a great day today, in that we didn't do any of the power trails! That was a very nice change! So a nice variety and some very nice locations! Thanks!

As this is a generic log comments relevant to this cache will be placed at the end. On a caching trip with Dty73 & Tankengine to Yorke Peninsula. Team signed as DTY. Thank you all the cache owners who have put so much effort in placing and maintaining these caches. Our last day on the peninsula so we decided that we would explore the area around Edithburgh. The weather had turned chilly and the odd spit of rain came and went. Another quick find. Kutgw

04-Oct-18
We have a small team travelling to The Yorke Peninsula from Canberra. It was decided by the group before we left that our team name would be DTY, although I act like the boss, I rarely am and so the initials actually stand for - dty73, Tankengine & Youban.

Today was the last day on the Peninsula before we head hone tomorrow. So the team decided that it was a “tourist day” and we would go have a look down the coast a bit. But of course like true geocachers we couldn’t help taking a caching route as we went. We ended up getting a lot more than we expected, but we did have a good time.

There was a great view from this cache. Luckily it was a quick find and the cache is in good condition. Tftc!!!

17-Sep-18
Our last day in Edithburgh, but we have been waiting for the promised sunny day of light wind so we can head north along the coast. Some great scenery and caching is hopefully in store.
Sorry-the logs are starting to get a bit repetitious but we are having a great time, walking in the sun and the breeze, collecting caches as we go, enjoying the scenery and appreciating the caches. It’s nice that the hides are not too onerous, but just subtle enuf to make us work for a few of them. Others we have found pretty quickly. Life’s always more interesting if things don’t come too easy!
We drove down and had a close look at the kiln when we passed it. A magnificent building.
A simple straightforward hide

Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.

Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.

Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.

Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.

Thanks Rocky Glen Grommets (F=1257 H=91) for the cache.

After completing the 'Gone Fishn' series, and still in the good company of Team Crackers, micaparamedic, Alansee & Phetlern, we continued on to find a few more caches.

We did a loop to the eastern side of the peninsula, and back to our accommodation in Port Victoria.
This was one of the caches we found along the way.
Signed with either our group name of 'SNEECKS' or The Drovers.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Rocky Glen Grommets, for us and others to find.

I was headed back to camp in Stansbury,
but still took the time to take a short detour to the top of this 'very steep cliff' Smile
Is there any other type of cliff ?
Cliff Richard I s'pose [:o)]

The big rocks at the end of the road should stop most vehicles from ending up in the terrain 5 area below Smile

A short poke around the general area of said rocks soon produced a cache find Big Grin

Family holiday at Coobowie, but way too windy to get the boat wet. A short drive up to Wool Bay for some caching was the perfect alternative. Nice location and views. Tftc

03-Oct-16
With terrible weather upon us again (less than the storms of last week at least) it was driving and sight seeing today rather than fishing. Spent the morning driving up the coast from our Coobowie accom, collecting caches as we travelled. Luckily our caching partners Mrs Stavros looked in a spot that we had already 'looked' and came up with the goods. Nice view for sure. TFTC

02-Oct-16
Heading south for a couple of nights in Yorketown so fitting in a few finds along the way. Another good find here which added to the fun, and interesting stops made along the way. The weather was quite cool today with the occasional shower but nothing like it obviously had been recently. All good here, a quick find.

Many thanks for the hide.

Definitely a favourite for location, on what became a day of caching in the rain, in the good company of fellow Geelong cachers Suscoe. After three days of geo-art, conventional caches were a pleasant change.
Favorite added for the location - magnificant view.

Our thanks to Rocky Glen Grommets for placing this cache.

Suscoe and Phetlern headed out today for an adventure across the foot of the Yorke.
It was quite a wet day really with steady rain for much of the day.
We found lots of caches as we wandered the back roads of this area.
The countryside was green and the crops were looking good.
Thanks to the Rocky Glen Grommets for this cache,
A favourite for the brilliant view today, raining but the water was so clear and calm in the lee of the shore.

Another great view but this one was rather smelly Surprised
Muggle partnerw alked to the edge to enjoy the view then gagged as someone has dumped crab shells and raw fish just at the edge [xx(]

On the road with FelixII exploring the Yorke Peninsula.

Today was to be a casual trip along some of the eastern beaches, a bit of lunch and a bit of caching. This was one of the caches that we happened on during our travels.

Their are some truly fantastic views in this area, a lovely piece of Australia. Thanks for your cache Rocky Glen Grommets .

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia after having attended Oz Mega. Big Grin

Today was a quieter day for us touring with iluvtrekking. We headed out from Coobowie to, Port Giles, Wool Bay, Stansbury and Port Vincent before returning to Coobowie.

The weather was threatening at one point, but generally we had the best possible weather and company. We saw some awesome views and extremely grateful for seeing some highlights that Yorke Peninsula has to offer.

Great view, lots of pics taken.
