TFTC. Third time today that we had to replace a pad in a cache. Owners need to take more care of their hides. Lucky we carry around extra pads.
We found your cache today 8 August 2024 9:36am , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC Bushies2
I parked just off the main highway and walked the 230 odd metres along a rough but well defined track to the cave. Took me awhile to locate the cache as according to my GPS it was about 13 m away. Its definitely on the right side of the cave as you are facing it, on the outside of the cave and lowdown on the wall. Thanks for bringing me here.

Quick find here thanks to the hint… Bit of a 4WD to get here but it was worth it, log is damp but signable.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache Bushies2

Heading to El Questro from Kununurra, we’re stopping for what we can…
Beautiful weather and great scenery makes it a great trip.
Cool cave - and not *that* little either, and a fun 4WD drive in from the highway too.

Traveling with richlink to Darwin and beyond picking up a cache or two along the way. While they were busy taking care of some chores, we went after a few caches they had already found. Quite a treasure here, thanks Bushies2.
Find 3 of 15 on another full day of 4WDing, hiking and caching - on a day trip to Wyndham and back.
Mrs O directed Mr O to park up and he set off walking across to his GZ while Mrs O stayed in the A/C. Mr O was unfortunate/dumb enough to head straight for the co-ords which took him up and up on to the top of a hill with great views and down to 1-2m from the cache - alas, he was on completely the wrong level to actually find it so he had to drop a long way down to find any caves/caches. On approach there was an explosion of noise from the cave and out bounded a big roo - fortunate he didn't want to fight because it would have been no contest. Searching took a minute to locate the small cache, but it did match the hint. Took the more level way out back to the car which turned out to be nowhere near the obvious parking area further down the road. Words were exchanged! TFTC Bushies2!

We found it!! We parked car off the highway and walked in as we could not find the track. Found canister it was just lying on the ground. Papers on the ground being eaten! We have added new paper for logged finds. Was a great little cave!!
An awesome little cave, the faint tracks in were helpful in heading towards the gz.
Once at gz, was the cache inside or outside, clambered in and about, took some great photos, climbed out and saw the cache out in the open. Lucky find for us today.
Thanks for sharing this interesting little cave.

Excited to find this one today. Luckily the area has recently been burnt and we didn’t have to wade through the tall dry spear grass that was there just a few weeks ago. So we parked beside the road and walked in. An easy walk with sturdy shoes. The GPS gave the right direction but was a bit all over the place distance wise once we found the cave. The hint though was spot on and led us straight to the prize. Signed the log, replaced the cache and had a little look around. What a great little cave system. TFTC
Went to this one armed with a new container fully expecting to have to replace it. But we quickly found the original film canister, alive & well & just where it should be. TFTC Bushies2
Parked on the highway and walked up. Found the ave ok but didn’t find the cache before running out of time. Quite a few caves in the area. Thanks Bushies2. Hopefully we’ll have better luck next time
We could not find the track in. Road works a year ago means the rest area was removed. We went down two false trails and then gave up. We will look again another day.
Headed out for a look at Molly Springs and stopped by on the way back. Quick walk through to the cave and a quick find. Had my torch with me just in case but didnt need it to find the cache. Didnt have time to check out the other caves but did wonder what would be found within.
Many thanks for the cache Bushies2.

After leaving my muggle friends at the Rock, it was time to head north and now west towards El Questro and get a bit of caching down on the way.
After leaving Gregory NP this morning I had a bit of time up my sleeve and so I called into these caches along the Victoria Hwy to have a look around.
The parking area is no longer a rest area and the track is a little bit hard to get to.
I look the wrong way in and was also a bit high but eventually made it down to GZ.
Not a got time of day with the temp out here to be traipsing around in the bush.
Thanks Bushies2 TFTC.

The area was recently cleared/burned, thus access was reasonably easy. Like so many others my phone guided me on top of the ridge ... thinking possible I have to climb a bit given the terrain rating ... after searching for a while I read some logs, which helped finding the cache quite quickly. TFTC
The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 14. A morning in and around Kununarra was followed by a Ord River crossing as the Ivanhoe crossing and a back roads trip to Wyndham for dusk.
This was quite an adventure. Once I worked out the track access was gone, I walked in. I was distracted by the name 'small cave' and did not go the right spot until way too long had passed. Then when the instructions were applied it found what I was looking for. Relief !
Thanks.

Off on the adventure of a life time, what a cool area, so much to see and do, everyone in our family has been thrilled with variety around K town, Geo Mum not so thrilled she has to catch up on lots of logs! Sorry about the generic copy and paste log, thanks for supplying us with a cache that has been apart of the fun.

After walking up over the top of the hill I arrived at GZ and spent a small while looking in vain for the cache. AFter reading the last few logs I climbed down a little and there was the cave and the cache. SL and replaced., then retreated to the car (along the track this time). Thanks to Bushies2 for the cache.
Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! Our journey started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island, before heading to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. The second leg of our journey was a fabulous 9 days in Tasmania. Having then returned to Melbourne we set off on the third leg of our journey, which was to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. We then spent a few days in Sydney with geocaching friends before flying on to the Gold Coast for the fourth leg of our travels, that included visits to Lamington National Park, Noosa and an overnight trip out to Fraser Island. We then flew from Brisbane to Cairns, where we spent a couple of nights before heading out to the birding hotspots of Yungaburra and Daintree. Following on from a visit to Cape Tribulation we turned to Port Douglas. After a day out on the Great Barrier Reef we returned to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs and the fifth leg of our travels, which was a wonderful week driving the circuit to and from Ayers Rock in our 4x4 camper. On returning to Alice Springs we then flew on to Darwin, where we picked up another 4x4 camper. We are currently making our way towards Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
This was a nice quick find at the cave after having bush bashed our way to Ground Zero from the road. Thanks so much Bushies22 for yet another great cache and for having bought us to this interesting cave, where we got to see some beautiful bats and even managed to get a photo of one of them - a Common Sheath-tailed Bat. On the way back to our hire vehicle we also got to see our first Long-tailed Finches. What a super place - please have a favourite point!

Lots of little bats squeaking and flying about. Cache is doing fine even if the access track in isn't.
Beautiful cool spot with nice views back to Kununurra. The track in has now been obliterated by a 1.8 metre deep trench dug by the main roads during the road works, so you have no hope of driving in. However, when you locate the track......which is the most difficult part, it is an easy walk to the cave. Thanks Bushies2 for another magical spot.
Today we explored Kununurra and surrounds using geocaching as a guide. Easy find. Pity you can't drive up to the caves now as the road works make it very hard, had to move some trees to get access to the track. Wow when you get there what a view, enjoyed searching/exploring around the caves. Adding to our favourites.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Road working is making the track harder to find and access. But still found this cache quickly with some thought and observation. TFTC..
Driving from Halls Creek into Kununurra it was too hard to stop with the van so went back another day with the car and was able to pull off the road more easily. Still not that easy to spot the track but what a great walk in it was. Saw some flowers we hadn't seen anywhere else and the rock formations were awesome including the cave. Thanks Bushies2
GPS tells us this one is the next closest from our last, making this our 6th cache for the day.
Took a little to find the track as the parking bay has been graded out, but once found took a little drive to the little cave.
Interesting rock formations in the creek bed leading to the cave, looks like at some stage they were exposed to some massive heat and appear molten like.
After a bit of sniffing around and even some spelunking, Capt Caaaaavemaaan came to rescue and we secured this cache.
Great little spot....thanks for the hunt....TNLN

We've passed this spot a few times over the last 12 months, always looking for the lay by. Read the logs carefully, and this time realised that the parking spot has been eliminated. Watched the GPS compass carefully, and when it was at 90 degrees to the road, stopped. Voila - a track through the spear grass that led almost directly to GZ. Stumbled along the track for 200 metres, avoided the dead cane toad near GZ and made a find in the second spot I looked. TFTC, Bushies2
Went over to check if the cache was still there, yes it is and we have replaced it with a new logbook and plastic bag. Please read the hint
Tried both caves - lots of water from the rain. No luck ! Seems a while since anyone has found it! Maintenance?

I have driven past here a couple of times now and never noticed a rest stop [:o]
Today while heading out of town I decided to investigate closer
Well there is a shady tree at the side of the road with some vehicle tracks around it.
But don't pull in there unless you have a 4WD or the sandy soil will mean a bogging
I left the geomobile in the shade of the tree and set off on a beeline for GZ.
Up and up and up I scrambled across the rocky terrain.
Until I found meself standing atop an unexpected cliff [:o]
Was the cache up here or down there ?
The GPS wasn't telling, so I consulted the cache notes.
Should have done that [u]before[/u] setting off up the hill
Then I would have known that there was a track to follow to be bottom of the cliff and a nice easy cache find awaiting
Hey !!
I had fun, got some exercise and eventually a cache

This was our 2nd cache find in a caching run of 8 Finds & 0 DNFs today.
We found it at 09:12 so this now makes our total find count 6951.
[blue]
A very interesting cache. The rest area has been completely removed, and the approach has been graded to remove all traces of an entry. Luckily we have a 4WD.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (Around 2 metres).
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks Bushies2 for the hunt today.

Today we chose to have a 4x4 day out & headed out to the Parry Creek Road area. The roads reminded me of when we went up to Cape York along the Telegraph line, rough, corrugated & sometimes sandy.
In areas the grass was higher than the car. I called this an adventure.
Found as we returned to town, took the rough road to the cave. I found the cache while hubby went to explore inside the cave.
Thanks Bushies2

They have sort of sealed off the pull-off so I walked in from the road. There were 2 caves! I quickly found the cache and added some paper for the log. I then went into the lower cave but it soon became obvious that I was disturbing some bats so left them in peace.
A great spot for a cache, thanks Bushies2.

GPS said 15mtrs inside the cave ....which wasn't the case ..... in good nic ...
was a bit tricky to find the entry of the rest area as it has now been closed off. with piles of dirt , managed to drive up & over found the track ..bit rough but took us almost right to the door ... TFTC

Bit spooky, no wasps or bats just someone's severely cut hair! Did that person need a new disguise...lots of stories out of this one. A quick walk back to the rest area! Thx Bushies2.
Found after a bit of a search. Our GPS gave all sorts of weird readings at GZ, At one point saying it was 20+ metres away!
The cache was on it's side half buried in dried up mud, and the log soaked & completley ruined! We put some paper in a second Ziplock, but it didn't fit too well.
Bushies2 may need to take a look at this one.

What a heartbreaking and frustrating cache this proved to be. At the point where our GPS told us to head off the road a caravan and 4WD was parked so we didn't see the track there. We turned around and headed back to a track we had seen earlier. This was okay at first but soon we were walking through thick long dry grass. Finally we came to some shorter green grass and breathed a sigh of relief but this proved worse because it was very spikey. After 2 or 3 hundred metres bashing through this stuff we reached the track that we should have started on first up!! Then to top it off we couldn't remember what size we were looking for and spent a good hour searching. Mr Beetle even went up to the other caves in the area with no luck. It was only when we got back to the car [the dead easy way] that we realised we had the wrong size and were looking in the wrong place. Oh well, the caves were great and we did see a great big green frog in there. Thanks.
I'll have to go back and have another look. Great little cave to find though and wouldn't have known about it otherwise. Cute little bats flying around inside and frogs perched in nooks on the walls
Quick find, co-ords say cahce is 10-12m inside cave.
It is definatly not, but bats and dragonflies are..!

Once again, another stop that we wouldn't have made if it wasn't for the lure of a cache. The cave was a bit smelly and we didn't go too far in, but it was cool nonetheless. Thanks Bushies2 for sharing your local knowledge with us Victorian city slickers.
The frogs and dragonflies were sunning themselves outside the cave today but we didn't see any bats, even in the cave. A quick find. TFTC Bushies2
Found at 2.50pm GAFF3 - just as well as the GPS was telling us to go 10 metres inside the cache at first!
Looked for some evidence of aboriginal art, but couldn't find anything.
Thanks Bushies2.

What a shame travellers that camp in the parking area haven't respected the privledge of this area - it has become a latrine.

It took us a while to find it finally. Thanks to Bushies2 for the interesting location where ab'l ladies used the cave for their business, and the cache.
Wiping off another DNF. Amazing how much easier they are to find if you read the hint.TFTC
Had a look while Mrs Temingi was preparing lunch in the nearby rest area but no joy, Talked to the owners tonight and will have another go next month before the event, Thanks for bringing me to this interesting spot.
Nice little cave with running water. It took us a while to find a little cache in an area with so many possible hiding places.
We are getting tired, the children are tired and there is toilet paper peeking out from underneath every second rock. We didn't have the clues with us as the caches we just loaded into the GPS so weren't sure if the cache was in the cave or on top. exploring in the cave I picked up a rock to find a large pile of toilet paper underneath. That was the end of searching for this cache! Now I have read the clues we might come back while inthe area.
found at 0925 thought i would give this one more go with a little bit of guidance

Lots of campers at the rest stop, all Kombi type vans. The few metres from the parking spot to the cave were challenging as we dodged the defecations and toilet paper. Cache found easily right where the coords said it was and we enjoyed exploring the cave. TFTC
On our way from Kununurra to Wyndham, this was a caravan friendly stop for us. Trev wandered in for the find, while Caz got morno’s ready for when he returned. TNLN. Thanks Bushies2, success with one of your caches at last!
