We had just driven past plenty of caches so why did this one make us stop..? We had a good idea where it was and that's what did it, the challenge of getting there. The first part was not as tough as it could have been.. it certainly helped to find the most practical way. Then it was up, to a point we knew for sure where the cache was and the best way to get it. MrG complained his legs were too long but mine on the other hand were made for this. Nice to know short legs can be an attribute once in a while. Marvellous views greeted us and the big old cache was found quickly. We added a new logsheet and bag to back up the small piece of paper that was being used. This was cache of the day for us. Thanks team stilllookin, FP!
Well the title says it all!!!! Thank you for geo husbands who have the legs to make it to the end!! And still have the strength to take selfies!!! TFTC
Wow, I've got to say heading towards this one I wasn't expecting that! it did say the only way is up, but that was a lot more up than I'd envisaged. I really enjoyed the Bush bashing and some rock climbing. All the time hoping the thunder and lightning didn't turn to rain.Hint helped narrow down GZ. Had to use a dead tree to get to GZ. Fortunately, no rain. Didn't use the tree on the way back. Managed to get up-and-down without breaking any limbs. Yeah in hindsight not sure this one is really appropriate for a recent Seniors card recipient?Definitely my favourite cache of the weekend. Worthy of a pointThanks for maintaining the cache
Found after a cool hike and found an amazing view….. dropped a trackable that we have had for way too long lol
If someone finds a mobile phone up near the rock platforms or anywhere near there please contact me.
Great cache and a wonderful view over the lake. Also ideal for a ramble over granite boulders and through caves. TFTC!
On a camping trip to Lake Lyell. Disappeared from the group to hunt it down. A fun climb. TFTC!

Out with a full complement of the NSW Chapter of the GOM’s. while getting a waypoint for a dam multi and wanting for the big orange mobile this one was only a short scramble up with the drain as the initial start out. Once in the right spot it was a quick find. Nice views from up top. We completed the signing duties and re hid TFTC.
A few of us were lucky to be chauffeured by a local legend who stopped here so we could collect some details, then pointed us to this hill.Up we went (it was the only way) and made a find. Thanks JABs.

After attending the Bluies event, we headed out with high hopes of a FTF. That didn't come off but we grabbed a few nice caches along the way. Enjoyed the scramble up to this one on a beautiful autumn day.

What a hike! No real path to speak of, just need to keep your wits about you and use rocks as footholds. Great views once you get there!
Round and around and around, until something matched the hint! A great viewing platform.
Needed a quick find today for the Fill the Calendar cache. This one looked close to the road so thought I would give it a shot. But it was trickier than I anticipated.
Tftc. Great view from up here. Took a few minutes to find the cache but was determined not to walk away without the find.
1st cache completed on an early start today – there was still frost on the ground so a nice cool climb. I went 1 level too high but it was a fantastic view – so scrambled to lower level to make the find – I can finely tick this 1 off – unable to take photos of the view as the sun was rising it was the main view. This is a fantastic view from up here – taken TB to move on – a fav from me - TFTC / TFTH / SL
Glad to have the directions to make the climb easier. After a scramble at the end we got the cache and the view.
This was a fun Cache on a cold winters day. Great view, not sure about the bones. TFTC.
We totally took the hard way up to the boulders. Only to find the easy trail up. We placed a Unicorn trackable that we found at Mount Tomaree on our second date. We are currently on our honeymoon here. Tftc.
Well if the only way is up,
then I had better get up there
A fun scramble over the granite to reach the top
A read of the notes and clues,
and oops !! Too far
More rock hopping and there was the cache
The way to the cache has become a bit trickier now that a tree has fallen
But that wasn't the way I got there [^]
TFTC with a good view of the dam from upon high

Done with Ashoeii and WShoeii. Tough walk up the hill, but had beautiful views of the lake. We were all a little freaked out by the bones and tried to get out of there as quickly as possible. TFTC
Tftc - easy walk up the hill, searched around the boulders finding what looks like a den of sorts. We came across some bones, large bones, hoping they were not of the bipedal form. Located caches, performed duties and made an easy descent.
A cool morning but we soon warmed up with this short hike up to the boulders. Took us seniors a while to scramble around and find the cache. But it was fun. TFTC
Found it! Massive expedition with about 10 kids while camping. TFTC. Awesome views from the boulders
Found with BillHill531 and my eldest, while on a somewhat impromptu camping trip to the blue mountains to find some scenic adventures and a very rare placed month. Lots of high terrain caches and fun to match.
This was our last find for our first day. It was getting late so we skipped some caches, so we could set up our tent in the light. Then we came here equipped with our head torches. Pretty fun and ridiculous in the dark. At one point I was too high and finally got to the right level to make the find. Nice size. Grabbed lots of good wood in the dark, so could not see where I was walking, but somehow made it down again. Not sure why I did not find this last year when we stayed at the same place for a camping trip event. BillHill cursed the night caching component of this expedition. Apparently too much fun for him.
Thanks for the climb, wood and cache!

Found with TOMBI! and grandson on a small camping trip to the Blue Mountains, to get some high DT combinations with special dates. After setting up camp nearby, we could not find any firewood, so came here after dark, and it sure went up, up, up. After looking for half an hour TOMBI! finally found it, cache signed and some firewood found on the way down. TFTC
#1432 First of thirty four finds on a great Easter Tuesday drive from Lithgow to Oberon and surrounding area. Quick find after a short search. TFTC
Up, up, up indeed! Beautiful north facing view once at the top. Suggest appropriate footwear (rather than the thongs we were wearing!). TFTC
After setting up camp, just down the road at the Event, I came along, and climbed on up - the only way!
It didn't take too long, and the coordinates were pretty good - so I left a Correct Site Marker - surgical marking pen. Cache dry and intact, heaps of room in the log book.
Found at 2050, so will probably add a bookmark for the Night Caching elective #6 - even tho I have heaps.

### Trip to the bush ###
----------
Day 1
We started our trip in Rouse Hill towards the bush region of New South Wales.
Our first stop was in Springwood where we took a little bush walk and found this letterbox in the middle of the bush. We then visited the geological sandstone attraction and informed ourselves about the geological features of this region.
We then continued our trip towards Katoomba where we enjoyed the breathtaking view over the Blue Mountains at Echo Points. We took a little walk and reached the 3 sisters form the originally 7 sisters. Now it was starting to get dark and we continued on to the town to look for a couple of more caches before finishing off the day.
Day 2
At early morning, we relaxed once more for a little while longer at Eco Point before we continued our trip towards Blackheath and Mount Victoria.
We had a little break at Lake Lyell where we visited the dam and had some snacks.
We then continued towards Ryell and high up to Mount Lambie where we were lucky to spot many animals again.
We left the main road just before Bathurst towards the quiet countryside past Peel, Wattle Flat and the historical Sofala. We had a coffee break at Sofala where we drove around the old historic town.
We then continued our drive on Hill End Road and we socked in the beautiful nature. We were lucky to see many animals on the way.
We were welcomed by many roos at Hill End.
We left Hill End and drove towards Hargreaves towards our night stop at Windeyer. We slept at Bushland Tourist Park once again in the beautiful train accommodation. We had dinner at the local pub where we had nice pasta.
Day 3
We had to first free the car from all the ice before we could start our trip towards Mudgee. It gets cold out there at night, around -1 degrees.
We drove towards the west to Wellington and Stuart Town, Mumbil, Dam Arthur and finished the day in Dubbo.
We were astonished by NSW untouched nature and beautiful wildlife.
Day 4
We started the day with a little trip outside of Dubbo’s bushalnds.
We then strolled around the city of Dubbo and visited the beautiful Botanic Graden of Dubbo. The Gardner’s put so much work into maintain this beautiful spot. Well done.
We started the trip home towards Sydney past Wellington, Mudgee and Portland.
We drove past the Mt Piper Power station and informed us about the tours.
We continued towards Sydney.
We hereby want to thank all owners for all the work you have done in maintaining the caches. You have showed us many beautiful and also many hidden spots which we wouldn’t have found without the caches.
Thank you

I spent about 20 minutes looking for this one. I'm sure it's there...I just don't think I found the right spot on the right level.
We are spending a week in the Lithgow area for the September School holidays, staying at the Lithgow Caravan Park. This was our 3rd find of the day, 9th find of the holiday.
Followed the dish drain up to below the boulders, then climbed straight up through the light scrub to GZ. Once up on top of the huge boulder it was a quick find. SLTN but left a toy whistle to add to the stash. Sat and enjoyed the nice views out over Lake Lyell, before heading back down to the geomobile.
Thanks team stilllookin for the great views, and for the cache.

It has only taken me 5 years almost to the day to get back here and look again for this cache, I was in the right spot just on the wrong level last time. This time no mistake!
Great view of the lake, thanks for the cache.

Found this one at night time I imagine it would've been a lot easier during the day and the view would've been awesome but great little hike Tftc (:
Great views from here! Thought it was going to be a long search after seeing the amount of potential hides once at GZ but spotted it straight away luckily. TFTC team stilllokin!

Great spot - enjoyed the climb in some drizzle. The rain stopped, and the clouds parted temporarily to allow me to see the view!
Always love to explore areas like this, although didn't mind that you picked an easy spot

The only way is up, and up, and further up. This seems like what I was doing this weekend in the canyons.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Came out to lake Lyell to do some kayaking today but the weather is ordinary so figures I'd cache instead. This was not the climb to do in thongs but i got there in the end with no blood spilled yet....I still have to get down after all. Fairly sure I took the hard way up as usual hopefully the way down will be easier. Tftc in such a great spot.
Bit of a climb but it was amazing once I got there. I climbed even higher for the view
The climb got the heart racing as did the sound of things rustling in the bushes as I went by. I originally went to the wrong side of the rock and had now way up, went around and found the platform and was happy that I could locate the cache without too much trouble. Now to make it back to the road without meeting any critters. TFTF

Found today with friends Ben, Nick, Tom, and Yoshi. The walk up is not too strenuous and well worth the effort as the reward is a beautiful view over the lake. TFTC
That was really hard. Had been to the lake with boat so left it parked precariously on edge of road and started the climb. Had boots in the car but went up in sandals and hubby in thongs. So not appropriate. Slipped and slid our way up the hill and then searched for ages to get on the right level. Such a great feeling when we finally found it. Took a crown and left a little ball. Was almost as hard getting down
Terrific hide. and thanx heaps
Terrific hide. and thanx heaps
...and up, up and %$^ up...looked long into a 'hollow', then realised it was still up, up and up...which was fine til the drizzle rain descent (I am too old for this)... TFTC
Our first cache to pick up some lesser found caches (off the main drag)...Yep as the cache name suggests ...........The only way is up! Thanks great lookout location over the dam. Found with Mrs ASO & Kieran6. Glad we made this little walk up the hill. When departing we realised something ... The only way is down.
Thanks for the cache! SL TNLN

Left wife in car to recoup from a bit of asthma from the last cache. So off I went. Scramble scramble.
Up, over, inside out of rocks. So many spots to hide. Reread the clues and hint. Found! Cool cache.
Thanks

Two months with no activity and then two people find it on the same day!
Managed to convince the wife to brave the climb so that we could get at least one cache for the day, and it was well worth. The view from the rock as the sun was hitting the "golden hour" made it a perfect end to our day in the mountains. TFTC.

This was by far the best cache of the morning!!
Taking the CO's advice I made my way along the culvert and made the left turn at the ants nest. It was a steady climb to the top. I took a wrong turn at the top so I ended up circumnavigating some huge boulders but eventually ended up at GZ. Fantastic views of the lake and dam wall below.
Signed the log, took a few pictures and returned the cache to its pozzie. Cache in good order.
Met up with a local on the way down, a very healthy looking Red Belly Black Snake but was not quick enough to get a picture.

Reperio at 0640.
Pulling up near GZ I had that damn Yazz song going around inside my head...but after a short walk up...I soon came to within a couple of meters of where the cache...and a bloody huge wombat. As I needed to take a few more steps forward to get to the cache...we stood there looking at each other no doubt wondering what was going to happen. I took one more step forward...and he bolted Shortly after the cache was found. A great little spot overlooking the dam.
