Thanks for placing this cache. I do believe it has been muggled and there are several DNFs.The cache owner may need to check and replace. Thanks
Here with the Seagnoid for Capperz event today but arrived early to find a few of the nearby caches
Sadly did not find this one.

An afternoon caching with jojo, big vern and tammy. Just a handful until the weather really packed it in.

Hat was blown off mid-hunt on a hot and blustery day. Claimed the cache in the end even though hatless! TFTC
Out and about on a stifling Friday evening with hubby (Kiwimykl) adding to my total by collecting a whole bunch of local caches. We went to the furthest from home first and will work our way back to town along Old Renwick Road and its tributaries.
The sun has just dropped below the horizon so we are making these caches around the Taylor Dam our last for the night. We had a late picnic dinner at a picnic table by the lake and now is time to walk off the effects.
We were going to do the Little Dutch Boy next but muggles nearby made us go for this first.
I was with Kiwimykl when he got this one two days before I joined up as a geocacher and I was the one who actually found it for him. I guess you could call it a late log, glad to have my name in the log now.

Fathers Day picnic after a spot of orienteering.
4 generations of our family, good food and a spot of caching.
Thanks for the cache, good memories!

First day of winter and surprisingly still very mild weather. Needed a quick cache on a busy day - and hadn't been on this track for years. The dam area was full of activity - with dog walkers, buses, kids swinging and even a drone flying around. Still managed to find the cache quickly with out being seen. Was not impressed by the dog poo I stood in on the way back to the car - took me ages to clean it off the shoe full of little grooves on the sole.

Stayed the night here at the dam. Morning walk. What's this placed used for now. Was locked up. Tftc
Interesting to read about this place...thanks for bringing us here on a cracker Saturday afternoon.
Quick find and lovely walk. A rather scarey looking spider has made it's home in the hole.
Mrs Kiwimykl asked if I wanted to go looking for some caches after lunch today. Always keen to spend time with my lovely wife, I suggested a couple of areas that I hadn't been to locally, but she wasn't that keen as they were likely to be high-muggle areas on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
She then asked if there were any caches in the Taylor Dam area, I said yes but didn't know how many. On checking my mobile app, I discovered four potential targets, so into the car we got with Mrs Kiwimykl carrying out the driving duties and me navigating... well really c:geo was navigating.
I don't think I've been to Taylor Dam since the days when I was courting Mrs Kiwimykl and we used to go there to watch the 'submarine races'... if you know what I mean. We raced on past 'Taylor Dam Track' in our haste, so decided to do that on our way back to town.
That made this cache No. 3 of 4. I had never ventured this far into the Taylor Dam Reserve before as it was only suitable for foot traffic, so I was never aware of the existence of the Omaka Domain. The information board certainly made for interesting reading about some of Blenheim's former history.
This time c:geo was up to it's old tricks and there were two of the described features in the indicated GZ, with neither one getting priority from the app. Mrs Kiwimykl looked at one, and I looked at the other, with me making the correct choice. We only just got the log signed, before a group of muggles including on of the canine variety came into view.
'Fosters' TB also came along on this adventure and visited the cache.

Hard to choose my cache for the day on such a lovely afternoon, but this seemed a nice place to have a look. I haven't explored the area around and beyond the Taylor Dam for some years so it was nice to come back for a look. I saw the water level up beyond the toilet block on the hill during the winter, I guess the cache was pretty lucky to make it through the flooding. Very dry now.
Quick find on a lovely Marlborough afternoon. Unfortunately the TB is no longer here. I'll email the recent finders of this this cache and remind them to log it. TFTC Lang Clan and for bringing me up here for a walk.

Great spot for a picnic. Wandered around and found cache, dropped off travel bug St Christopher 2 (QQP8X8). Bought it over on ferry from North Island so it can "explore" the South Island. TFTC.
A quick New Year's Day trip around the Taylor pass with honeybee.nz before heading home.
What a great little reserve, we had no idea it was even here - one of the charms of geocaching.

Read that log was wet so have put fresh one in a new plastic bag. Staying at Taylor's Dam and had our first bike ride on our trip.
[green] I borrowed a mountain bike from the Air Force base to head up into the Wither Hills. But that would have left these three caches sitting out here all lonely, so I came out here first, sort of on the way to the BMZ park, my start point. got a little confused with this - the cache name doesn't match the name of the reserve, so I cycled past, up past the intersection looking for another entrance.Saw a guy there, looking the same way I was looking, then he went back to the reserve just as I did. Although he was acting suspiciously like a geocacher, turned out was was just exploring - like me. I eventually found the way to Flanders Field (see attached photos). Flander was watching closely as I retrieved the cache.
By the way, the log is very wet. I could not sign it, although I did leave some random green scratchings.

Found this one yesterday on a short walk around our campsite. Thanks for putting one in this wonderfully quiet area.
Log completely soaked.

Beautiful day but couldn't sign log book needs replacing or drying out it is absolutely saturated.
Was at the nearby event when spudnz very kindly offered to fast-track my visit to this hide. Was cool to be driven to within 1m of GZ, hop out and sign the log. Thanks spudnz and thanks Lang Clan .
Found this one while attending the nearby Winter Solstice Event. I was able to park right by this cache. I was surprised to have actually found this one as I thought it may have floated away with all the rain lately. In sying that, the cache itself was half full with water and the log book is pretty soaked. Still able to be signed but not sure how much longer it will last. Thanks for the cache and the smiley.
found cache. this morning unfortunately could not sign cache as it was soaked, also found a mobile phone near cache site if anyone wants it back. quite a nice stroll thru some mature lovely trees in a nice quiet area tftc
Nice one TFTC. Another good one for the granddaughters next holidays. We have picnicked here a number of times and didn't realise all that area was even part of it!
Find #282 for the BAMMJams - a nice wander on a hot Sunday afternoon. The mini-BammJams chose a dice to take out, and replaced it with a different dice! TFTC.
Never new this large area was here, I assumed it was all lake or swampy, and I've lived here a long time. I'm loving that about Geocaching- discovering new places (just new at it). TFTC.
Lovely walk to and from this cache and the nearby parking at the pond is great too

Mum and Dad out for a bike ride up the Taylor River to Taylor Dam. Made the find, but cache no longer appears to have a pen, so couldn't sign today - we will be back!
Picked up the 'travel bug'.
Thanks for bringing us here Lang Clan - hope to bring the kids to explore up here too.

Quick easy find and the end destination of my cyclo cache. Dropped off 2 travel bugs. Thanks for the hide
What a neat little domain - another one of those spots that you would never know about if it wasn't for geocaching. Thanks

Learnt some new history about the area from the white board on route to the cache.TFTC
A sign telling us the domain was in here would be nice! Lovely spot. Great to hear some frogs! Some scumbags have dumped a pile of undersized paua shells & kina shells at the edge of the pond.
Finally found after phone went flat, then forgot pen so another return to the vehicle.

Had never ventured this far before although knew there was a walkway of some sort - didnt realise this area was so large - thanks for the cache ( will have to tell Donna at work tomorrow that we have done one of your caches !!! on our trip over ) Happy caching
An area known all to well by my family but never walked this far in! Thanks for the walk and memories to do this cache. Never realized this was such a big area past the gates TFTC
Well done this one got us thinking. Did not even realise that this park was here. Brilliant TFTC
Once again geocaching takes me to a very nice location that I surely would never have otherwise known about. TFTC.
Mum and Dad found this one on a mountain bike ride up Taylor Pass Road. Didn't know the Domain existed behind the Taylor Dam Reserve.
We drove out to Omaka Domain and went on a very pleasant walk to GZ where the cache was quickly located. This lovely park could stand having a few more caches. Thanks for showing us.

Found cache quickly. Thanks for a reason to see some areas I would not know about otherwise. SL TFTC
Today was tidy-up day for the caches in the Blenheim area before moving on to Nelson for two days. I was out with BaldEd again this afternoon and this one was the last cache for my caching adventure to the Blenheim/Picton area.
This one has a nice flat walk to the cache from a nice pond.
Cheers for the cache.

The last cache done in the company of Tufty before we go our separate ways tomorrow. Pleasant walk up the dry bed of the once very large reservoir.
