Making way for all these new caches that get published during the working day excluding me from the fun of going out for them.
Kids had a friend each over for a sleepover last night, so took them all to the park on the droppoff run this morning. After a nearby cache left me pining, I rounded all the kids up and we walked deeper into the park so I could get my morning caching fix! R found this one pretty quickly and his buddy wants to find one so we better go get another! TFTC!
Stopped off on the way home from work, rather lengthy walk. Had I been 10 minutes later, i would have seen a great Sunset from there. Did see quite a few ducks hanging around. TFTC
Admired the view some of the local houses have over the harbour as we wandered down to GZ. Cache was very quickly located, signed and replaced. TFTC
We simply searched here and there a lot. when it was right in front of us. TFTC FMZ
Sorry we accidentally broke the stick it was hanging off, but put it on a stick near to the original one.
Visited the park in between the showers! when the sun is out it sparkles on the water. Found the cache with its lid on the ground. Replaced log with waterproof paper, and new bag. Cache put back together, and we where on our way. Always wanted to come and visit this part of the park, and today we did
Nice wee walk to find. Log book is incredibly damp and falling apart. Needs replacing!
Nice easy find on a public holiday, logbook is in pieces so couldn't really sign it.
I used to walk in this park a lot when I lived in the area pre-caching days, so today I decided to visit some of my old haunts. It took me a few minutes but I eventually spotted the cache. The log book is falling apart but I managed to get my signature on it.
Decided to do a few night caches after the nearby event and quickly picked this one up while in the park. Lovely spot to watch the fireworks from, no sign of Heron's.

Urbangypsynz and I attempted this cache after doing the nearby 'Transporter 2', I say attempted because the cache wasn't hanging up in the tree as it should have been, why I know this, is because I spotted it a few meters from the tree opened on the ground, but the lid and plastic bag and lb still there too so me and urban put it back together after signing our visit and hung it back somewhere discretely. You can thank me later FMZ, I'll have a dozen beer and a bottle of wine...
Attempting the nightcache in the park with Gorby, did a bit of bird rescue, safely back in tree, I will have a sauv thanks will be interesting to see the view when motorway work completed. Tftc
Just made it back to the car in time to be able to safely out-wait another rain shower. TFTC
Nice find, took a little while to find. Log book needs to be re-stapled, but didn't have the tools with me. Found with el_tonto

Nice walk in this park which we have never been to before. Our stealthy approach was challenged by a neighbouring canine but he lost interest in us very quickly.
I couldn't tell you how many times u have driven past this park and until today never stepped in to it!! It is much bigger than I expected! Quick find on a cold wet day and just in time before a muggle arrived with his dog! Log a little wet but writable! Tftc
Nice walk down the hill. Had to stay calm with a dog coming out from the house growling near the cache. Especially with two small ones in tow. We managed it though, he wandered off sniffing trees eventually. TFTFC
For years I used to wonder why people would come to my house and ask for pens. Now I know why, its pretty much in my backyard! Dont forget your pens people ☺
I had to look for a while before spotting it.
A local dog came up to greet us - very friendly golden Labrador - don't let her put you off going.
Found today, got muggled 3 times by different dogs (the neighbours dogs using it as a toilet - disappointing).
Thanks for bringing us to this part of a great walking park.

no trade
thanks for the cache

P.S. Unser Leihmaskottchen, Travelbug Rascal the little racoon, war natürlich wieder mit auf der Tour.

Nice easy find, after a DNF of the multi in this park. Loved how this park has been developed. Didn't spot any herons. TFTC
Nice walk through the park to get to this cache. Nice views out over the harbour. Tftc
A quick find for the day before the heavens decided to open. A different perspective indeed! Thanks!
No herons to perspect with today--just a lone pukeko and some crazy-looking, medium-sized, short-hair, black and white, stubby dog that seemed to enjoy rolling around in unidentifiable, random patties of goodness. I wonder what he though of me poking about in the shrubbery: "Crazy-looking, middle-aged, white guy with muddy shoes looking for birds in places where there are none." Thanks for bringing me out here--the view across the bay is impressive. I would not have known that it was here without the cache to point it out. Cache is in good, dry condition.
Edit: Typo.

Was nice easy find thanks to someone's comment about gorse ! Was excited to see the lovely long flattish pathway ! ....will def bring my littlies here with their new bikes ! TFTC
Out for a spot of caching this afternoon after work. Just enough time for one last cache. Super quick find. Cheers for the cache placement!
It was such a lovely day today, I decided that I needed another break from the office and decided to collect some caches. This turned out to be a relatively easy find made easier with absolutely no muggles being around. TFTC!
YUP, the only one in Heron Park which did not cause any trouble today.
Thanks.
Thanks.
On our way back to the Sword & Shield Society Garage Sale, after having to pay a visit to an ATM, we swung past this cache for a lovely walkabout on a sunny SUnday afternoon. This park is amazingly huge but doesn't connect to Fairlands Reserve where we first tried to access it. If you're bringing little cachers, bring scooters or trikes, because there is a 4-lane highway around the park ! Thanks for bringing us to this never-before-visited park.
Trying to fill in time before collecting Mr Alligatorsnz from the Rangitoto Ferry after staying overnight on Motutapu.
Nice perspective of the causeway & having the tide in looked lovely and I didnt realise that this park was soo big.
Was very mindful that this was avondale spider territory & was hoping not to come across any....(me & spiders dont get on!)
Spotted a solar panel stand (?) but couldnt figure out what it was providing power for.... perhaps its for the spiders tv? ....strange... TFTC

I didn't realise Heron's Park goes back that far - and sure is a different perspective. Nice hide, wasn't where I was expecting it to be, was almost about to give up when I spotted it. Neighbour muggle was sunbathing, but didn't seem to take much notice of what I was doing - otherwise, no one about. TFTC.
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
After grabbing Heron Defence, we decided to head to this cache next. Another quick find here, thanks for the cache!

Really enjoying our stroll around this park we've never visited before. Mrs j spotted it pretty quickly thanks to a pair of glasses That are not sun damaged. Took a Swedish coin left pt so PISO TFTC
attepted twice just got coordination wrong lols but awesome walk will attempt again got coordination right this and cant wait lols
Quite a few 2 and 4 legged muggles around even with the spits of rain. Unfortunately didn't see any Heron's around tonight. I think they are quite magestic looking birds. TFTC
Went to park without a pen and decided to do just by chance. Wasn't in the first place we looked but got there in the end!
Few folk out on the deck of a nearby house but I managed to hide myself well
Great hide and a lovely park - thanks ftc

Found it signed the notebook and left a small treasure for the next person as it was empty.
Looked in obvious places but couldn't find it then I spotted on the ground. Put it back where it should be. Nice park. TFTC
I seem to be making a habit of finding caches without a pen while out walking with the family. This was a really nice walk, and I had no trouble locating the cache. TFTC.
After finding another cache in my 3 hour break, I decided I still had enough time for one more.
I headed off to go and find this one then, as it seemed like a pretty easy straight forward one.
And I arrived to be a bit perplexed. Didn't really know where to look! I tried all the obvious spots, but the cache was nowhere to be seen, and for the life of me, I couldn't spot it!
Then I decided to go and take a look in another spot, where the coords were not pointing, and didn't seem as likely, when I spotted it! It was actually where I had expected, but slightly a bit out of my sight anyways! Often you find it just as you're giving up on a particular spot ae!
TFTC!!
