Disabled until further notice as quite a few people couldn't find it and the area was very overgrown since the cache was placed 5 years ago.
Well, we did search for quite some time without finding this elusive cache. There certainly are plenty of spots to hide one in this area! Gave up as 2 muggle girls came along on their bikes. Hope to try again in the future. TFTC bcky84 where ever it is!!
Day 22 of 31 .... thought this would be a good one to do after work...

Well getting into this estate was a bit tricky, my GPS insisted I drive down a pedestrian footpath to get in! I navigated in manually, lots of streets to turn on. Eventually got to the hiding spot, saw a few bong components before I noticed the cache which stood out quite a lot. I think I just needed to point the torch in the right spot.
Easy enough to find, but there are a few bongs here. Not kid friendly. Lots of swaps. Took nothing, left bottle opener.
Well done good one Mandy you may have the bugs but on hot on you tail game on

Nice easy find on a gorgeous Sunday morning. Good location though I think it might be a face spot of pot smoking muggles. Picked up travel bugs Sharky and Lisa Simpson. Will send them on their next adventure soon. TFTC.
was on the wrong side at first. AAAHHH.
managed to drive around to the right street.
clever hide. a lovely spot.

Was glad this was a quick find, usually caches in these types of locations give me all sorts of grief. Found with spookyclams. TFTC.

Followed the direction of the GPS rather than trying to self-navigate to this one... so many twists and turns.
A good cache in a peaceful little possie.
LN, T TB "Mary's Memory" and cleared some rubbish from nearby.

A nice sunny afternoon for a cache run out to the west and this was one cache I picked up. Thanks.
A great little hide. Quickly found and signed.
I must admit that I did approach it with a little trepidation after reading the previous log re' the snake. No sign of him today though.
Saw a neat little park up the road for the kids. I liked the creative design of the slide.

This is my second attempt at this cache. The first time I ran away because I lifted a rock & there was a snake under it! Yikes! I had actually thought it may have been a crafty clever cache container but then it moved so I ran away yelping thanking God it didn't have a go at me. Actually, now I think back & find it quite funny. I was a little uneasy as I approached GZ, but cache was soon in hand and it looked nothing like a snake!! Thank you for the beautiful spot Kym and also teaching me to realise we don't have to always have our geoeyes on. (snake cache....pfft)

We loved the idea of the multi-lingual cache notes and very impressed by how dry the kache is after three years in hiding - we do wonder what happens when water pervades the area. We did take the truck which determined to stop the lid from closing firmly. Unfortunately we had nothing to leave.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Kym the Loudmouth.

What a pain these streets can be. It took a lot longer to work my way around the streets to get to GZ than to actually find the cache. Once at GZ it was an easy find in a nice location. TNLNSL TFTC bcky84

At first we thought our Nuvi had gone mad taking us on a scenic route to this one but on checking the map it was just the way the estate was constructed. We feel sorry for the poor residents that just wanted to pop out for the paper in the morning, their arms would be worn out before getting to work. As we approached GZ we could see a family sitting very close and knew we could not look. We pulled up and tried to find another in the area when we saw them depart. Great, we headed back to GZ where the cache was found after a short search. Looks calm here now but judging by the debris the river below had a lot of water rushing down it in the not to distant past.
Thanks bcky84 for the cache

A long winding drive through the streets of Cairnlea with the kids finally delivered us to our 2nd cache on this great sunny Sunday. Cache contained alot of old rubbish items and a old leaky pen. Inserted a new pen and my boy swapped one toy dinosaur for another. Thx
XC on business nearby from NZ... Early morning run before dawn. GPS locked on and followed roads to here.. Thought I was at GZ but had to run another km to get over stream... Took a minute to find but got there...
Signed log and replaced.. Now to run all way back to motel...!

A very pleasant spot and it would be an interesting place to live around here.
I carefully rehid the cache, which was in good condition.
Thanks for the cache.

3 of 33 for the night. Night caching run with my good mates Marty (Quasar3671) and Richard (xraydelta1). Our GPS sent us on a bit of a loop on this one before we finally made the final find. Found an enormous spider of a type unknown under one of the nearby seats.... Cool. TFTC.

After finding a pace to park the geobuggy after one false start this was a very easy cache with somewhere nearby to sit in the sun to fill in the log. Had read of the nearby plaque before returning the cache and exiting"stage left".

This was quite a simple enough find once we found our way there. The winding turns of this suburb were really frustrating from a navigation point of view since many of the names were not listed on the map. However, the cache itself was relatively easy to find once we got there. Also enjoyed visiting some of the local birdlife with some swans and ducks in the area. We saw ibis when we first went by but by the time we found the cache and came back they were gone. They missed out on some bread.
Finding the cache itself was a piece of cake - once we got there. The maps on the free version of the Geocaching.com ap for the iPhone weren't fully updated with the Cairnlea area, so when we tried to zoom in to see where to go, everything would disappear. It was quite frustrating. But perseverance and using one's eyes worked, and so Bralock and I can now mark this one off. TFTC! TNLN
Found today at 12.15pm. A nice & windy day. Took Slinky left & St-Kilda Footy Card
