Out today caching with team LARPS, one of the last few caches of the day, doing Magnetic Road. We could spot this one from the right angle which made the retrieve easy. I was still extra careful when grabbing and retrieving this one, double checking it was in place before removing my hand completely. Thanks for the cache #1695
Old cache with no lid removed , new cache in place . Slightly smaller - see photo
After not seeing too many muggles on our walk this morning things changed dramatically just as we got to GZ. Suddenly there were dog walkers, runners and a huge group of cyclists all passing us at once.
But not a problem, we weren't in a hurry and stood looking over the railing at the view while we waited for things to settle down.
Once the coast was clear we very carefully retrieved the cache signed the log and returned it, very pleased to do so without incident.
Nice hide. TFTC.

On a e-bike with fellow cachers rustynz and Rebel98, it was rusty who actually found this one, me and Rebel egged her on... don't drop it Sharon!!! Sharon replaced with new paper.
Found by rebel98 on16/2/10, so it's been awhile between finds
On our bikes for an explore with rebel98 and gorby.
Happy to find this one whilst on our 23.7km ride

Out caching with The Foxes, and Starlord. Very nerve racking and we didn't let the kids try and grab this one.

Omg such a windy day and was so scared we were gonna drop this - didn't let the kids do this one!! TFTC and adrenaline rush
Taking a walk along this cycle path this afternoon and collecting the caches as we go. Parked up nearby and as we approached GZ we knew what would be required for this find. Quickly spotted the cache and very carefully grabbed it so that we could sign. Very happy with ourselves to replace without dropping it.
M24: a muggle passed and I was trying my best not to drop this one, seems that luck was on my side. As I opened it, the log was sticky because a piece of old gum was left in there. Ew... anyway, log is signed, nice and easy, all is good. TFTC.
A quick find, although some stealth needed. The log book has seen better days, and was a bit sticky from the lolly that someone had left in there. Tftc
A nice quick find. Thanks for placing your cache.
I'm in Auckland and I am exploring the region while I am based here. Today was a dry day, overcast but dry. I borrowed by bro's bike and cruised around the place. I had a great time.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Found it. Was terrified I would loose it when replacing but all good. Have crossed this bridge hundreds (possibly 1000's) of times by car and was great to finally walk it. Tftc
Been looking at this one for awhile.
When is found that G-2 had placed a number of cachs at the top of the bridge I decided it was time.

This little sucker has been a pain in the proverbial for YEARS...a little green square in the middle of a sea of yellow smileys. Fortunately today I had some time to make the walk back down from Greenhithe....... Unfortunately being a VERY Senior person....the hands, and fingers were not what they used to be so removing the cache from its hidey holes .... well...., I mean it was blowing quite hard and the cache was very old...and small...and slippery , and then there was this seagull that tried to snatch it....
Nah...just having you on...all good, and great to get this little sucker out of the way...thanks for the walk...cheers V

Day out with TEAM SEAC after too many lockdowns and as an O birthday surprise for GeoHusband when we were thebownehornet. The plan was to bike around and stop for a picnic lunch but what he didn't know was that NZ Iceman was ready to set up at the picnic stop so when we arrived there was cake and decorations etc. After lunch the plan was to continue biking and caching back to the cars. The weather was perfect, the company great...it just felt like such a normal day again after all the lockdowns.Updating my new geo account with unlogged finds as thebrownehornet, with keylev, NZtravellers, HeMaLuDy and etc, collectively TEAM SEAC and finally logging 14 04 2024 as NurseDr.
Out on a ride with my geo caching buddies "Team SEAC". Great day out, enjoyed our ride around the area. Thank you for taking the time hide this cache.
Found whilst out on an adventure with Team SEAC.
Thanks for the fun and the cache.

Planned a biking day out with some of the team SEAC crew to secretly surprise Mr from the BrowneHornet who is celebrating a big birthday today. The plan was to bike around and stop for a picnic lunch but what he didn't know was that NZ Iceman was ready to set up at the picnic stop so when we arrived there was cake and decorations etc. After lunch the plan was to continue biking and caching back to the cars.
The weather was perfect, the company great...it just felt like such a normal day again after all the lockdowns.
After lunch (for some of us as some were waiting for theirs to be delivered by another car) we decided to take a detour along this trail before the cake.
Spied the cache as we rode up. Draffin made the quick pick up.
Thanks for the cache and for bringing us here.

Today we were part of a big group of Team SEAC cyclists enjoying the sun and riding around Hobsonville collecting caches. It also happened to be a 50th Birthday for one of our group so we stopped for a picnic lunch and surprise birthday cake for the birthday boy half way through the day. Had a wonderful catch up with good mates we hadn't seen for so long, and despite a couple of DNF's we enjoyed the caching as well. Thanks to all the CO's today. We signed as team SEAC on the logs to save space and time.
While a few of our group were still lingering at the picnic lunch, some keen cachers made their way to this cache. Keylev found it before I had even had time to catch up on my bike! TFTC!

After months of lockdown a plan was hatched to gather Team SEAC for a biking caching session around Hobsonville as soon as we were allowed as it had been far too long for a catch up. The weather was playing ball today... although at some points it was too hot! Halfway round we had a picnic in the park to celebrate a birthday for a member of our team. All logs were signed Team SEAC to save space.
This was ccache 13 for the day. I was very nervous about retrieving it to make sure it didn't fall in the water, TFTC!

Team SEAC organised and bike ride outing and decided to tag along. The day was good for it, with full blast of the sun.
Draffin found it quickly off the bridge. TFTC

So where do I start? Probably not the best idea to bring the geohound with me, probably not the best idea to try this when it was cold and windy, and after it had rained.
Approaching GZ it was obvious where the cache would be, and a couple of steps backwards confirmed where it was. So had to try to hold the geohound still and kneel down in the damp and reach through to get this. There was no lid on the cache so after signing the log I shoved the log as far to the bottom as possible so it couldn't fall out. Then I needed to replace it. At this point the biggest lorries possible drove over the bridge, the bridge shook, my hands were really cold and I was shaking in case I dropped the cache. Luckily I managed to get it back in place without dropping anything into the water including the geohound!

Yep, needs maintenance, lid gone, but magnet still holding firm. Love the spiders!
Nervous so as to not let the CO down but a firm grip did the trick. I replaced the over-full log with a piece of RITR paper. T F T C T W S
Have swapped vehicles and am now in Mr Bean's look-alike car, rather than the oversized van of earlier. Much more manouverable.
A different day, Day 2 in the area and it's my birthday today, yay 53 years young. After hoping that I'd be going out for a meal with my colleagues it turned out to be another food option and a quick drive around the area and a few finds - again. For a few finda I'd sought some help, and this was useful to convert into a few more smilies.
I'm up in Auckland for the week, with a couple of options for transport and with a healthy choice of 4 evenings plus one late-afternoon at my disposal for caching. Would be remiss of me not to take advantage of what some (km) would call a 'target rich environment'. And so my week was spent well, a count of 75 caches was found, a few DNFs and a plethora of G-2's special cache treats with awesome camo and attachments. Some nice evening weather made things easier, and I averaged a 10km walked each day = nice. Thanks to all COs for their caches, individual logs as/when remembered.

Had this cache on my to do list for a long time. Arrived here on my bike. Nice hide! No DNFs here. Legend! Thanks!
Happy New Year! Today I thought I would take the opportunity to fill in a couple of day dots in my ‘finds by hidden date’ grid. That is how I came to specifically target this cache. I am also currently trying to maintain a current geo-streak which is turning out to be quite the challenge! So after parking as close as I could I made my way to GZ on foot which turned out to be quite the hike! However, once I was there the view made it all worthwhile. The funny thing about this find was that as I approached GZ, I met the only muggle on the whole bridge! So after some pleasantries he walked off leaving GZ all to myself apart from a seagull sitting on the railing a bit further on. A nice quick find... the log book is pretty much full... but I did find a place to sign. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its spot all ready for the next hunter. Thank you TheWonderStuff for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so.
Quite a precarious hiding spot, but not so much since there have been enough people to completely fill the log. Need a new log paper. TFTC.
Found it on a beautiful clear night. Cache is missing a top on one side I think? Also could probably use a new log sheet. Sorry we didn't have supplies with us!
Really cool location for a cache. Wasn't too hard to find but it did involve a bit of vertigo-inducing peering to locate and retrieve. I'm glad it wasn't particularly windy, otherwise the retrieval would have been downright nerve-racking (not because of danger to myself, but to the cache). Also probably a good idea to wait for muggles to pass because it might look a bit alarming to them. The cache needs a new lid and bag, and the logbook is borderline full. Also found a rather large spider hiding in it (no longer in there), another reason to replace the lid . TFTC
Very easy find. Needs a new log and possibly a new container though. Also use care as it can look quite dodgy to muggles. Tftc
Spotted nice and easy but muggles were around so had to continue up and follow back
Walked down from the top, different view from up here. No bikes out today, just two runners. Easy find, TFTC
So windy here today nearly had to hang on.
But found what we were looking for.

#13 log still safely tucked away in cache despite no lid. Seen better days, like somebody below I had to sign over someone who had completely faded away. Good fun grabbing this one though, TFTC!
We had to be careful walking along the bridge as it was very busy with both walkers and cyclists this morning. Lots of cyclists in training for next weekends big event in Taupo. Cache quickly spotted and the formalities followed. Unfortunately we hadn't read previous logs and did not have a replacement log with us today.
It was a blustery day so not too many people out walking or cycling today. The pressure was on not to drop the cache! Thankfully I didn't. The lid is missing and the log is full, unfortunately I didn't have any spare paper on me to replace it.
Amazingly no ones dropped this very old cache that's definately seen better days. I had to sign over old faded no longer readable signatures for this one. tftc
After reading the description, I knew where it would be from the top of the bridge, anyway it has been returned safely and was a easy quick log. Thanks for the walk, log is good but bag has a rip on it and there is no lid on the tin so has potential to fall out or get ruined by weather now. Waterproof log is full but plain paper is in there being filled up as I walk (:
Hands were shaking!! Trying really hard not to drop it whilst on the lookout for muggles! A few speedy cyclists gave me and odd look as I "admired the view" from behind GZ. Hahaha tftc
Had to avoid the plentiful number of cyclists out today, but managed to find a gap. TFTC
Cool catch! But the lid is missing and the log is a bit worn . But very good hiding place ! Thanks
Today I found myself at this bridge for my streak grabbing this cache and its neighbor down the hill. Its was an incredibly hot day with little breeze and I was very sweaty by the time I had made my journey down the bridge to these two caches and back up.
At GZ I started on the wrong side but soon had the cache in hand.
Cache has no lid and is a bit rusty but not too bad really considering the location.

Was wet and blustery but I was over this way logging the West's Spy Base so thought I might as well get a few more while I was here. After parking at the top of the hill and walking down here, I was thankful for the tail wind that helped me walk back up the bridge after. Cache has lost its lid and I liberated the resident large spider. TFTC
