Due to this area being more popular as a playground area then it used to be I think it is prudent to archive this one.
Staying in Dalby tonight for work. Thankfully I arrived early enough for a few caches in the late afternoon.
Getting to this one was such a beautiful drive. The afternoon was cool and the light was just perfect. I was in raptures driving along looking out over the green fields to the horizon.
Shame when I got to GZ there were kids playing in the park. Didn't want to look too creepy, so i headed back to town. Bummer, I will come back one day and try again.

We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a great way to explore the "land down under."
Quick find here.
Thanks for the fun Speedmistress!

Cache was easily found. When we were about to leave we were stopped by a few locals who where wondering what we were doing here. They saw so many people pulling up here and leave in a couple of minutes. Friendly people they were but we only could leave an hour later as they liked to chat. Well anyway we are not in a hurry. Another few kilometers clocked up today to grab this one. Thank goodness there's only 2 more days to go! tftc. Nice park. I was surprised to see a car and caravan out here. Mmmmmm. fellow cachers perhaps? ??
After a short walk around to stretch the legs and read the plaque made the find in the first place I looked.TFTC

My brief tour of Blue Ridge included the park.
A perfect opportunity for a leg stretch after the long drive from Dalby
Fortunately for me it was a week day, so I guess everybody is either at work or skool
A look in the obvious place to hide a cache,
Left me with some egg on me face.
If it wasn't there,
Then where 'o' where ?
So I tried looking in another place
Sneaky !!

Our Big Weekend Out West
First thing I noticed as we made our way to the GZ was the sheds next door, I have ‘shed envy’ a 5 car garage with a 3 truck shed out the back…
We had planned a cuppa at this cache, setting up the gas stove we noticed the powerpoints in the shelter, so out came the elec jug and extension cord only to find the pp's are locked off. Back to plan A, and while Mrs R-F did the honours on the coffee, I did the honours on the cache. Took a bit of time for me to find it, not hard, just time consuming.
Took nothing but memories and left nothing but our tag and footprints.
Hide, log and container are in very good nick.
Thanks for the cache Maintained by Griz066 for Speedmistress.

A lovely little area just off the highway. I really wish I had the kids with me for this one cause I felt a little conspicuous searching for this one without them particularly with the neighbours dog barking. As I was replacing the lid we noticed 3 muggles walking their dogs in our direction. Thankfully our car was parked between us and them so replacement was not an issue. Tricky hide. TFTC.
We had thought we might eat our lunch here and enjoy a quiet time in the sun. Alas, no toilets and bird poop all over the table so sign the log and back to town for us. A nice area to live though and wouldn’t I love one of those big sheds in my back yard.. TFTC.
Found after a while, my GPS was being a bit uncooperative. Good hide though, had to be quick so as not to be discovered by a family of muggles! TFTC
I had heard a tale of this cache from Xusia so was keen to check it out. Nice little detour to once again break up the drive into Bell. Ridge Park, it was blue, very nice. I liked the hide, however there were barking dogs nearby so was keen to get out of there also. TFTC.
Xusia daughter no 2 found this one. quite an ingenious hide - I thought it wouldn't be there cos the kids playing in the park would find and muggle, but I doubt this would ever happen. TFTC!
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
Once Gaz'n'Kab and I had sorted out getting to this one, we set about the hunt. My GPSr was dead on for this one. Kab spotted it after a hunt. I am thankful the area was abandoned today. TFTC Speedmistress
Ninth of 11 caches done between Chinchilla & the Dalby area today. After hanging about like a chimpanzee we changed tack and make the find. TFTC
I think we may have been following another cacher around all day on this trip.

Found at 1200. Detoured in to find this one, saw a good sized bearded dragon sunning himself on a nearby fence post. Thanks Speedmistress.
Today is our last stop on our holiday adventure. We are homeward bound in the morning.Had a couple of hours this arvo to nab a few local caches TFTC.
Found at 1040Hrs. Neighbour and dog drove off as we arrived so it was a nice quiet find as we had the place to ourselves.
Thanks Speedmistress

It's all in the name, eh! Neighbour and dog were seeing off a visitor, but they disappeared soon after. TFTC Speedmistress.
There was a bit of reminiscing happening when I found this one. The land that this is on used to be owned by my parents. In fact, as a kid I remember helping clear the rocks and logs so we could make a track - that track is now Kurrajong Drive. My dad built the dam that can be seen at the end of Kurrajong Dr, and in wetter times I remember spending many hours swimming there to cool off on hot summer afternoons. Sure seems strange to see so many houses and a park on the old "block". Cache was easily enough found while the biggest geoson tested the slippery dip.

A nice little spot and isn't that a perfect fit for a cache container. Good hide! TFTC.
Another Speedmistress cache on the Downs today!
Thought the nearby woofer might attract unwelcome attention but fortunately not. Cache soon found. TFTC, and no swaps of course. A nice change from the dreaded Eclipse tins.

Visited today and found that the cache container had gone missing. Replaced the cache container and log. All good to go again. Good Hunting. Speedmistress.
Found along with ParisDac and muff1 while in Dalby to help Speedmistress celerbrate her birthday. It's good to sign a clean log even if it's a replacement. Clever hide. Thanks Speedmistress.
Hmm.. this one slipped through our fingers today. Searched high and low but to no avail and the GPSr was jumping all round the place.
Will try this one again soon!

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Her Majesty at 9:50am on a day trip to the north of Dalby caching. We looked at a few places before tracking this one down; a good cache in a good hide. Very quiet round here. TFTC
Found at 1040. Very clever tricky hide in a nice location. I do not like hides that are placed in childrens playgrounds but as there were no muglles of any age I had a look where the GPSr was indicating. Quick find. TFTC
Speedmistress has been busy. Saw this when logging our trip yesterday so we decided to take an early morning drive.
Another nice spot found and more food for thought
