Time consuming here. But being persistent soon had the cache. All in good condition. TFTCache
Not a find because I drove away after pulling in but seeing a couple with their van sitting nearby, they didnt seem like they were moving any time soon. The way they quickly went to their car as I pulled in had me wondering if they were fellow cachers. As I drove away I looked across and the man had a cheeky grin on his face and waved - of course I waved back and this left me wondering even more!
No luck finding this cache today. I looked all over and under but could not spot the hide. Thanks anyway opted-out user
Found after a bit of searching for a regular to find that its a small one. The for the cache.
Pays to check when you come to these sites to see if there is a cache near by. I was here yesterday so I had to comeback today to get this one. All good with the historical site. Thanks for this one that has been out for 15 years
Great site of interesting history. It's not even 30C but it's so HOT! I've been in areas of similar numbers but it was still pleasant a few days ago. Different heat. Tool a short search and found easily. After a long period of outback, yesterday we turned east at Port Augusta and enjoyed lush greenery and gumtrees of the lower Flinders Rangers as we passed through. Quite a contrast. Having travelled late, we arrived in Manna Hill last night to stay in their towns rest area. Waking to another very different scenery of flat dry country in a little town passed by most travellers, so many trucks, and the odd train. Goats! I love these tiny litte feral goats, it's great to see them as we drive past, yes, the little things amuse me! Took time exploring towns as we passed. Broken Hill kept us way longer than intended or we had time gor, but just made the time. And it was HOT!!! Only 30C but a different heat, still nicer than cold though! We pushed on late into the night, Nyngan was our limit and had a great rest stop facility in town. A good place to stop after a long but great day, thanks fir your cache!
Awesome hide. We have been to Broken Hill about 5 times and never new this was here so thankyou
Heading to QLD from WA picking up a few LGAs on the way. Thanks COs for placing and maintaining late post sorry
Found with Zigzoggy and Barbie_OCE. Nice and easy find. Cool history. Nice area. TFTC!!
At the end of the day after spending much of the day exploring Broken Hill, we took a drive out to this area to see and read a little bit more history of the area. We found the log and container and have added our name. Thanks Domsky
This is what caching is all about. I would not have driven down this road except to grab a cache and found some history and an AL find at the same time. Thanks lil team of hunters.
Geohubbie found then banged his head. Just as well we were the only folk there as he didnt half cuss Did actually have visitors as emus came to see what the heck we were doing TFTC
We found your cache today 20 May 2024 1:29pm , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC Damo
Found the site by accident while looking for a spot to have lunch, thought to myself, there must be a cache here, TNLN TFTC
Took a while to find this not so regular cache. Interesting piece of local history, glad to come out here. TFTC
No joy here today despite my best efforts. Hopefully it is just a case of cache blindness....!
We love being on the road and caching gets us out walking. A few up here in Broken Hill that weve missed on previous visits so well make up for it this trip. The not so small one grabbed this cache whilst the big one, middle one and the geodoggie kept watch for muggles!GZ was virtually spot on, TFTC
Deadly quiet and eerie at GZ this morning when I arrived around 0545. The quietness was a blessing as I could park the car with the lights positioned to enable a better hunt and to illuminate the important information for the lab location. Lab done, I ventured into the unknown and soon spotted the container. Back out to a more comfortable position, I was pleased (not) to find the previous finder had inserted the log book spine first and I was unable to get it out. I tried for a couple of minutes then gave up rather than damage the book. I resorted to etching my name on a piece of paper from my notebook, then slipping that down the side of the log and into the container. Its one of those frustrations we come across occasionally I guess. I tucked the container back, jumped in the car and headed off.Cheers lil team of hunters.
After many attempts and changing our direction of attack we found the cache on the roadside of the structure. An easy find when we thought outside the box. TFTC
Out caching with my caching buddy, MrsShep77, and our faithful drivers. Thanks for the great hides. Definitely roadside.
We are on the way from North Brisbane to Adelaide for the MEGA Leapyear 2024. Found the cache with TBU1BIKESU.Tftc

How interesting! We had never heard of this incident before this cache, so thanks.Cache blends very well but didnt take us long to find. All is good with this cache. Thank you.
Had a look for a good 15mins before using other logs and the hint but I dont think it is there anymore.
TFTC opted-out user your cache first act that we found today as we made our way south for Christmas. Day 2 in Broken Hill and we used Geocaching as a means to explore this Heritage city. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining caches for our enjoyment . Had to search previous logs for a good hint.Find Count: 17285 .
Find#5937Nice hiding place What a epic road trip through Victoria and NSW on our way to Whyalla South Australia Thanks for the cache
Very hard to see this one. Needed a hint from one of the previous logs. Surprising story. Tftc
Stopover at Broken Hill. Time for some caching! TftC! Had a good look , nearly bumping my head a few times, before resorting to reading a very helpful log from GoodLook!
We found it after a long and fruitless search. Had to resort to a very old log for guidance, but got there in the end. It was in the last place we looked ..funny that.BTW it is not a regular but is a mint tin.
Day 25. A last minute plan had been hatched to make my by way to QOGM. Very little planning had been done but a very rough outline was in place and it was going to be a day by day trip.I continued the journey home, tagging on with posums for a few days. After spending the night at Innamincka we headed south through Camerons Corner and then I headed further south to get close to the border. This one took way longer than it should have, although this is really a nano, not a regular! Thanks opted-out user for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you planning a trip to Victoria? Check out some of these caches on the nominees list for the 2022 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards. The shortlist is available [here](https://coord.info/BMC8QYR)
Something special or unusual goes here:This took a bit of finding but our names are now in the log book. The Generic Bit:QOGM adventure - I was able to catch a ride with Muff1 who were heading to the QOGM event and team up for 3 weeks of caching adventures. 3 weeks in a swag - will my back hold out[?]Day 2: Today we moved eastwards from Cockburn only as far as Silverton for the night so we could explore around there and Broken Hill. **SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. - BOING*****Thanks opted-out user for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
The three of us were in Broken Hill for the weekend, and stopped here to find this old virtual.
Teen Tardis found the cache in the first place he looked - don't you just love it when that happens?
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Damo.

Nice and easy quick find, I ended up hitting my head which hurt but still managed to get the cache tftc
Quick find with Good Looks hint. Thank you came earlier to do Adlab and missed this one.
Freddo and Team Waldron headed to warmer climes around Broken Hill, Cobar, Bourke, Cunnamulla
and Charleville.
After a cold start in Broken Hill the weather improved once we got further north. Sadly our last night in Broken was wet which, pardon the pun, put a dampener on things.
All up it was a great week away and lots of caches were found with only 3 dnfs.
Thanks to all who placed and maintained their caches. The occasional cache was damaged and we refurbished it and we also left new logbooks as required.

This one has eluded me twice now!! After coming back armed with hints from other people’s logs I thought I had it…. But I looked and couldn’t see it anywhere
Great one !!! Found it with my little sister. spent a good 20 to 30 minutes looking but finally found it
Awesome geocache found this one years ago so was enjoyable to find it again! Super creative
We looked under, all over, including surrounding ground area but couldn’t find it!
Found with Coybear2000. We were also doing the AL which took us here. We arrived at GZ, followed by a group of muggles - we thought that they could have been fellow cachers, but they were looking at other features here and left us alone. After searching for some minutes, C read some previous logs and we changed tactics, C soon came up with the find. Log signed and all replaced and we continued on our way. It has been interesting reading about this history. TFTC.
Travelling with Trodectus and this cache wasn’t too far from were we were staying. Arrived GZ and started searching, when some muggles turned up. Was able to locate cache without being seen. Log signed and returned. TFTC
We continued today our tour in NewSouthWales, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.
The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.
The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.
Thanks to lil team of hunters for the generation of this nice cache first act (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.
PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.
Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

While grabbing an AL at this site I started to lol for the cache. Another cacher rolled up and we looked together when, with a hint we found the cache just below eye level and not where we got down low. It is now a mint tin so we were barking up the wrong tree for a while. Thanks Damo, interesting information here.

Together with my son, I am on a camping trip from Sydney to Broken Hill and back. On our 3000 km journey over 11 days we have seen some wonderful little towns, beautiful landscapes and many interesting geocaches.
After a long drive from Cobar, we set up camp in Broken Hill. Then it was in search for food and drinks, and of course a first few caches in this interesting town.

Currently on a roadtrip with buddies (McLookers, micaparamedic and TheDame) to Mildura, MacCabe's Corner, Broken Hill, Tibooburra, Cameron Corner and Orroroo.
With a night in Broken Hill, we swung by this location due to the Adventure lab and found this cache also.
SPOILER ALERT = After a substantial look in all of the wrong places due to the hint I provide this spoiler for those who seek it.
It is a mint tin and not under the carriage like the hint suggests as it is sort of at chest level and very easy to feel for without outstretching your arm much (middle of unit, horizontal metal rail, not road side).
Thanks Damo

On a road trip from Adelaide with my muggle mate. We have cycling friends having a joint 60th in Noosa, then we are off to Hervey Bay to see some family and the return home……who knows which route we’ll take, if I place a log for your cache, you’ll have a vague idea of which way we have taken
Gets a favourite point from me

Up this way for the weekend with Purrfect Di.
Seeing some sights, taking some pictures, located your cache!
Took longer than we should have --- because it's not a regular after all, it's really a micro and looks like it has been for quite some time [:(!]
But did find it in the end with the help of some friendly geckos!
Fascinating history - thanks for bringing us here.
Thanks opted-out user for placing and maintaining this cache on our ever growing Aussie geo-map
PS - the only good mint tin is one that's been melted down to make a nano! [:o)]

Driving and hiking around wherever we can - searching, spotting hidden items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guess or plain old dumb luck
Plenty of the luck stuff actually !!!
*All the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*

Warning ! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, floodwaters, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for bugs !!! . [xx(]
Ensure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside
Great of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
Really appreciate you reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!
C'est Fini.
