Out for the day with Firesafe. I saw this one would be good for a dt loop. Parked at the coords and made our way down. Firesafe spotted it and I used my initiative to retrieve it safely. Log signed and with the use of a tott we put back in play. Tftc
Escaping for a few days with Tweety2 to attempt to fill our D/T grids & clock up 1000 finds for the year for me! What a start to the day, we began with parkrun which we selected as it was close to this cache. A PB for me, next onto this cache. We didn't take any TOTT with us we as we thought we would scope the cache first. A steep descent and we made it to GZ, Tweety2 spotted the cache first - but she didnt have a hope of reaching it. My turn - I also didnt stand a chance, but with some natural TOTT I was able to adjust the position until I could reach it if I stretched every muscle and stood on my very tippy toes. Log was signed and reverse engineer the retreival to replace it. Hiked back up the hill and crossing this D/T off our list was just what we needed after a couple of DNF's last night. TFTC!
After attending parkrun, we were off to finish our D/T grid. This was an easier find than we had anticipated which is nice for a change, I bet that cant be said for the rest of the days finds!
This cache was found early in day which is probably just we well as this took a little attention to the approach and departure. We were checking the right locations just not quite right. It was after a PAF, that the cache was soon located, just a little further afield than we had searched. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find and maintaining it for so long.
A new day and Geoturtle37 and I are slowly, very slowly, making our way back to Melbourne after having attended the Feb 29th Mega is South Australia. Not sure if we will still be close to where we started the day at the other end but it doesn't matter . . . . yet. A decision was made to get out of town a little before looking for caches but that sort of fell apart. Very pleased to have a smiley on the map for this one as it did take some time to locate. Thank you for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
Im currently on the great novo Leap Day road trip of 2024 which starts in the north east of VIC and heads to Mildura via Echuca and Swan Hill, then on into SA through the Riverland and Barossa before heading to Adelaide for [The Leap Day event](https://coord.info/GL1BKDZBZ), and then the Adelaide Hills and greater ADL area for some cache cherry-picking before heading south to Millicent via the Fleurieu Peninsula. This is probably the biggest geocaching road trip I have undertaken to date with around 200 finds planned!Starting to make my way south out of ADL now as I head ultimately down to McLaren Vale to visit an old (muggle) friend. The further south I travel, the better the caches seem to become. Could have been here for a long time but with all the caches I've found in the last four days, I have my caching mojo dialled right in! A good execution here of "that" type of hide. TFTC, Waterlogged.#1889
Found in our group of six Queenslanders unsupervised in Radelaide mega'ing. Stacey is touring us around Adelaide picking up some stragglers. All logs signed or stamped as SQUIRM. Thanks for the cache Waterlogged
Nice pick up. Bit tricky to spot till you are in the right spot.Signing as SALI-24 South Australia Leap Invasion made up of Kittykatch, isopeda, Lafavoritecacher, Nibletricecakes, GLISS! and Albida.Down for the Great Leap Forward. Looks like a lot of people are. Day 3 adventures. Thanks for getting me out and about Waterlogged
This cache was bit tricky unless you looked in just the right spot. I was definitely lot eagle eyes on this one, but I was lucky to be with others who were. I have to admit to being distracted by the nearby New Mexico Thistles. I thought they were beautiful in the seed stage - I would love to have seen them when they were purple. * * * * * * * * * * *The day:Day 3 of caching in lovely Adelaide was just as amazing as the first two! The group of South Australia Leap Invasion 24 (SALI24) folks included Nibletricecakes, Joolay, Isopeda, Albida33, Kittykatch, and GLISS! today. We met first thing in the morning and spent the entire day driving in the mountains and to the beach and inside the city to pick up a ton of great geoaches. The weather was sunny and hot, so the long hikes we took today were sweaty but successful. We didn't have any DNFs which is always a plus. Many thanks to my teammates today for the perfect caching day to complete my time in Adelaide. Look out, New Zealand! I'm coming for you.
Adelaide Leap Day trip. Day 7. After yesterdays fun and games, there was a new plan for today and it involved a sweep to the south of the city to visit some ld caches and caches with D/Ts that are scarce. We started with the morning event at Walkerville before loading the team into two cars. A slightly different team made up of kitty katch, Joolay, isopeda, contesta, LaFavorite cacher, NibletRiceCakes, Gliss! andAlbida33. Logs were signed SALI-24 today. After the event it was to Unley for the Canberra gun cache and up into Howthornedene. Lunch was at Happy Valley and then we went to Reynella to visit some Quarries, before tracking back into town via some counties and a few ladder caches, not to mention a Texas cache. A long day with a few solid walks. Time for dinner and then home so we can do it all again tomorrow. This cache was picked out by Isopeda and it lived up to its ratings, quite a challenging find to get to and to find. Plenty of spots to check, all loaded with spiderwebs. We were happy when it was eventually seen and signed. Thanks for the cache Waterlogged45661.6 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Red Remembrance Poppy A#112**Albida**

And on the seventh dayThe best cure for Post Leap Day Blues (yes ,thats a real thing) is to either: a) Get up at 5:30am to go caching including an event in a new LGA or b) Sleep in until 10am and go shopping SQUIRM managed to do both Thanks Waterlogged
Day 8 of SQUIRMs adventures around South Australia and with only 2 days left theres still some targets to get. On our way to the next target Breadman75 told us this one was close so another detour was made. Peppa may have almost vomited as we stared down into the abyss so we used BM75s height to retrieve.Tftc WaterloggedFind #61
Ah, Sergeant Colon, the embodiment of confusion in the City Watch. There was this one time we were chasing a suspect through the streets, and Colon decided to take a shortcut through the alleyways. Now, Colon's sense of direction is about as reliable as a goblin with a map, but he was determined to outsmart the criminal by out-dizzying himself. We eventually found him on the opposite side of the city from where he started.
Found after the CITO at O’Halloran Hill today.
The cache proved to be a bit elusive. However visiting with two previous finders proved very helpful.
Thanks Waterlogged for the cache.

Then there was time for a quick couple of caches.
On to the snakes place to pick up a Snake.
We cached our way down south to met up with the Starman at the planetarium.

We parked the geomobile close by and walked to GZ,

The first Tuesday Wander for members of the Befuddled Puzzle Solving group in search of solved puzzles and anything else coming into view. I picked up S.A. Sewer Rat from the rat's nest, found a few on the way to Blackadders den and he jumped in. [^] Then we cached our way down the Bay way to have some lunch and get Astro. He jumped in and we continued southward searching for even more caches. Not all of us required every cache so here are the caches I was able to put my name in the log.
Having one leg shorter than the other would also help getting to GZ. [^] Finding the cache didn't take as long as I was expecting and we were equipped with out stamps so - job done.
***Thanks Waterlogged for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Found this cache while out caching with Tassie trekkers. Goosenegg and stainless steel rat.
First full day in Adelaide, and we worked our way through some caches we had predetermined to do
Thank you for the cache.
All caches stamped with "Team Tassie"
November 2022 was planned as a trip to the Mega in Melbourne, so we flew from Hobart to Adelaide to find quite a few caches that we had missed last time. Some great caches were found, but the planned boat trip was canceled due to the weather. No matter the showers we found quite a few caches on the trip (Around 600) including a number with high Terrian values.
The drive-through down the Murray river on the NSW / Victoria border showed the impacts of the current floods. A number of caches planned were canceled due to the flooding. Unfortunately, many of these caches will have been lost to the flood. The Mega, as per the whole week, was on and off a wet time, even so a number of caches were still found with Goosenegg, Stainless Steel Rat, Whitewebbs and Tassie Trekkers

We took the lower track so made this a difficult climb, with a couple of 'hairy' slides like a game of snakes and ladders. We were certainly happy once we located this one, and even happier once we were down safely.
Thanks Waterlogged
We arranged to catch up with Tassie Trekkers, who have been over here for a while, to do some caching around Adelaide and surrounds. The weather was typically Tasmanian, four seasons in one day with some flash flooding thrown in!
It’s become a tradition to fly to a Mega via somewhere else so Stainless steel rat, budgietas and I flew from Hobart to Adelaide a week before the big event and, after a few days around the city, worked our way up along the Murray (where we could due to flooding) via Waikerie, Mildura, Swan Reach and Echuca before heading down through Shepparton to Whittlesea where we caught up, and cached with, a few other teams including Whitewebbs, 1toolman and icybeetas.

Today we teamed up with gooseandegg, stainless-steel-rat and Budgietas to do some caches around Adelaide of different types and this was one of them.
We signed the logs as Team Tasmania, cache and contents were good.

Another year, another Victorian Mega, so where do we fly into, Adelaide like you do, after a few days in the city we ventured out into the wilds of SA before heading Northeast towards the border (You remember the name of the town, don't you?) before crossing over we teamed up with Tassie Trekkers and we all finished off the OYB series.
Our attempts at a few caches as we moved South that were near rivers were as half expected we were thwarted by floods so we didn't get to those but added the odd on in here and there.
At long last we arrived in Whittlesea for the Mega late in the evening of Friday 11th and after a quick event headed to our accommodation for the next few days. While in the area we explored the area finding caches all over the place and we even got to meet up with our Victorian ex Tassie cacher 1Toolman who traveled up from down South to join us for the day
Thanks for the cache.

A rare day out with OzGrumpy who asked if I could join him for a Sunday cache hunt. With the weather forecasting 100% chance of rain there were umms and arrs however concentrating on drive by's meant we did not need to be far from the shelter of the geo mobile. This plan went well for all but one of our finds where we were caught out and ended up soaking wet.
All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.
This required two challenges. Firstly how to approach GZ and then how to safely traverse to where we needed to be. From down there and climb up or from up here and sidle our way across. The latter was chosen and after a few tender steps we made our way to the prize which was located by Mr. Grumpy.

Afternoon walk with the geo-pup on our 2022 mission to fill our Date Found grid.
We read the description and wasn't sure what we needed to bring... so armed with a pen, off we went. We started at the top, went to the bottom and back to another part of the top.
The up and down bits were the toughest part and quite loose underfoot. Once up, it should have been a quick find, but after reading previous logs, I looked everywhere else except one of the easiest hiding spots! After a head slap moment, original log was signed and the slow shuffle and slide down.

Down South on my Deadly Treadly, yet again [^] grabbing some much needed exercise and naturally of course finding caches
I had seen this one before on my smartphone but not actually loaded it. It was only this morning [Tuesday the 14th of April 2020] when i loaded it i saw more stars than the night sky [^] These caches attract me like flies to ..... so i just had to investigate.
Not having any TOTT's on hand [not prepared] i approached this one from below with trepidation knowing i will not likely succeed at retrieving it let alone actually finding it.
5 Minutes later it was CIH. Wow [:o] that was unexpected.
I owe finding this one to 50% luck and retrieving it to the other 50% coz with slightly incapacitated [injured] arms [B)] {lol, i'm getting old and don't i know it! [:o]} it was most certainly a challenge but thankfully, i was up to it

A great day out with [@Davidwazza](http://coord.info/PR61VZX) after the nearby CITO! Really trying to fill out the D/T grid, so we targeted these caches! TFTC!
A nice day geocaching and hiking south of Adelaide. [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I began the day visiting a targeted D/T 5.0/3.5 cache that I needed for my fourth D/T loop, and then we attended the Morphett Vale CITO cleaning up the rail trail bike path park with a fair amount of litter and rubbish around the place. From there, we then headed south to Onkaparinga River National Park and walked down to the gorge / Punchbowl area. A spectacular area, yet some leg burn with the downhill/uphill treks. We then enjoyed a nice Port Noarlunga bakery lunch stop, before making a few last stops returning home.
Somewhat on route to this morning's CITO, I was keen to make a stop here for my fourth D/T loop. The old 5.0/3.5 combination appeared to be one of the rarer ones, especially as a traditional find. We parked nearby and made the walk towards GZ, crossing a fence in the process. Once in the general vicinity, I spotted the cache within a few minutes - that normally never happens to me, especially with a 5.0 difficulty rating! Logbook signed, and the obligatory selfie photograph was had. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Tim the Tool Man for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. We didn't even need to bring any of our own TOTTs in the end, despite having a few loaded up in the vehicle nearby!

This was on the list today to be found! Made my way to GZ, and after a short search I had the cache in hand! It really needs to go out a bit further! If you are shot the next finder will struggle as I pushed it along a bit further to make the T rating worth it!

I’d prepared with a few different BYO’s in the car ready to deploy depending on what was needed. I made the suggestion that we investigate this on the way home. Getting to GZ wasn’t that tricky as it’s been dry, but I can see that it would be perilous in the wet.
An investigation revealed that the cache was within reach with a makeshift BYO, so there was no need to deploy any that I had prepared.
I’m not sure that the cache is in the intended spot as it seemed a bit too easy, but as I said in different conditions it might be trickier. I returned it to where I found it.

Approaching GZ concerned about the terrain etc but after calmly thinking logically like ol' MacGyver, this was not as impossible as I had feared. Filled a hole on my D/T grid Yay!!
Travelled from Perth WA, stopping here on way to visit family.

A sunny afternoon and I decided to head down south and pick up a few caches. It was an enjoyable and successful endeavour as there where do dnf’s on the trip. An enjoyable afternoon with all caches found in good order.

Spent a day down south with Sebastbat.
This one stood out and we went for a wander to see where it was.
The tools we brought were insufficient, but managed to find a nearby substitute which served us well.
Nice slide down!

It was the difficulty rating that moved this one up the will do list. Published photos told me where to go and cache was quickly spotted. Then I knew what geotool would be needed, rather than a trip back to the car, let mother nature provide and my stamp was soon in the log.
Thanks to Tim the Tool Man for a cache with an interesting retrieval

found with spence_man. Sir_spectre recommended us to go and do this cache since it isn't just a clip lock container under a tree, and passed on some useful advice on what tool ( s ) to bring. Interesting cache.
well what can I say! great cache! TFTC!! went out today with Jacknor and as we were approaching.. there was a whole muggle family approaching and even a couple of 4 legged muggles. So we waited and watched the cars zoom by and the sights and then went to GZ! good find thankyou!!
Found on 9/4/18. Out on a walk with Mippa1987 and stopped to have a look at this one not confident it would be our day. But with teamwork and a tool and a bit of work we had the cache in our hands. Unfortunately there wasn't a pencil inside so I did my best signing with a stick and dirt.
We enjoyed the challenge and enjoyment of this cache. Favourite point from me.

Sometimes it pays to think outside the box. Of on top of it. Or underneath. Depends on your perspective. It was an interesting journey to reach here that started with prickly bushes and angry ants. The cache was so close but so far away. And it was tricky terrain for Uni, have you ever tried to ride a unicycle on an embankment? He almost dropped his flaming juggling batons.. Between four of us the cache was soon in hand and the log signed and put back for the next explorers.
Thanks Tim. Fav point awarded.

We had parked near here to walk to another cache, so grabbed it before leaving. A strange place to be, but a good place for a cache.

Goodness me this is a tricky, tricky spot. With a bit of team work...encouragement from me and the hard yards by my caching buddies, we soon had the cache in hand. Thanks Tim the Tool Man for the challenge.
After an overnight journey to South Australia, I met up with The Tritonz and Jacko83 for a 3 day hiking and yakking caching adventure around Adelaide and its surrounds. During our brief time in this beautiful city, the weather was perfect, the caches we found ranged from easy park and grabs to extreme terrain scrambles, hikes and paddles. Most importantly we had an absolutely amazing time, saw some incredible sites and found some awesome caches.
Thanks Geocacher's of Adelaide!
We parked and made our way to GZ. Prickly bushes . .ouch! Baha . .where is this thing. Searching . . searching . . aha !!
Thanks for the hide.

As part of a small team consisting of Quasar3671 and Jacko83 we made plans to attack Adelaide for particular caches, mainly focusing on attractive D/T and this cache being one of them. We were not sure where to start looking until we spotted something, then with a bit of team work we soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks Tim the Tool Man for the cache.

Picked this cache up as part of a 19hour caching day in Adelaide with Quarsar3671 and Tritonz.
Where to start....hang on? Is that the cache? Jacko - can I get a boost?!
Thanks for the cache in a neat location - watch out for that embankment!

Out caching with hevwalker, clare007 and CP today. We went from the Adelaide Hills to Coromandel Valley to Port Noarlunga, Aldinga and then home via Meadows.
Lots of caches and some walking made for a good day out. All our tallies were different, I ended up with 27 finds for the day .
This was the hardest cache of the day and required a big team effort. Hevwalker's log describes the adventure well.

Out this way with CPWanderer, hevwalker & Ismartis. After discussing numerous ways to reach gz, hevwalker & I found a duable way under the freeway. Honning in our area, we soon discovered that walking to gz was the easy part.
We didn't have any tools so we had to improvise. It took awhile, but between the two of us we managed to get the sneaky thing.
Thanks for the adventure & the cache Waterlogged

Out & about with clare007, CPwanderer & Ismartis...
This was an adventure that's for sure...the 4 of us stood above pondering...looking for the best approach to get to GZ...clare007 & I made our way down the side of the hill...we avoided the prickly bushes...CP & Ismartis guided us from above...
With the traffic zooming above us we set out on our search...how far in do we have to go...voices from above called down...with our gloves we searched & felt...great!!! didn't need them after all...
There it is...now how to get it...making tools out of nature we managed to grab the cache...cheers of glee was heard...
The log was signed by all & the cache placed back carefully exactly as we had found it...
Thanks Waterlogged...challenge achieved

As I continued my journey from Newcastle towards The Red Centre Experience in Alice Springs, this one caught my eye being rated so high in both difficulty and terrain. I parked at the suggested coordinates and quickly made my way to GZ where the small conundrum soon presented itself. Fortunately I had everything that I needed with me, so with some careful manipulation, the cache was retrieved. Enjoyed this one.

Another Tuesday evening caching with Moneydork, this time we hit up the southern suburbs. Tonights finds included another D/T combination for me, as well as avenging a DNF from around four years ago. I guess I don't get down this way as often as I should.
Our first target for the night. It wasn't on the agenda initially, but it filled a D/T grid combo that I needed, so off we went. We carried our elevation device part way, then abandoned it in favour of visiting GZ to see if it was necessary. It was not, and after donning the gloves and determining that we had an adequeate BYO utensil, I made my way over and retrieved the cache. A well earned favourite for a unique cache experience.
This was find number 1 of 7 for the day for me. TFTC Waterlogged!

I had heard a rumour of what I might need to bring to this cache (something along the lines of a cherry picker) but it seems we would be okay without it, so long as we had someone with the desire to do some crawling. I followed Sir Spectre's approach and soon we had the cache in hand. If I'd be an inch shorter we might have been rather stuck though.
I may or may not have needed Fredfronkys help getting down but that's a minor detail... not to be dwelled upon.
Had a picnic in this delightful spot so thank you for bringing us here.

With the difficulty rating this high, our plan was to come by and take a look at what tools we might need to retrieve the cache.
Once we arrived, the cache was easily sighted, and we thought we might have a chance at getting at this one with the things we had with us, and some other things we thought we could find.
The Ukulele Kid was nominated to perform the retrieval, while we remained somewhat safely on the ground. After the log was signed, we replaced the container, with some added tape as the container was starting to crack.
A rather interesting cache, and quite good fun.

The first find of the day. My mate and I decided to head out and grab some higher D/T caches. This area seemed perfect, and it had a puzzle cache that fitted a challenge back at home. First though, I wanted to give this one a shot. Both of us are pretty tall but we did need a tool to make the retrieval. We soon had it in hand though and the log signed. Putting it back was harder but we managed . TFTC Waterlogged!
Found on an evening caching run with Sir Spectre, who was kind enough to take me to a few places he has been before. Fortunately Sir Spectre has a car full of all the geocaching tools you could ever need, so he produced the one needed for this cache and was kind enough to give me a hand with grabbing the cache - my first ever D5! Legend!!!

Found by The Boofs TFTC . All boofs were on hand to tackle this one. We didn't bring a tool, but in the end it only took a small boof to make her way along to the cache.
BONES came down here to get this combo knocked off his D/T grid. I must have looked funny carrying BONES in one hand, B.Y.O tool in other hand.
