Mrs SKI located this cache first and found it spread out over the ground. She signed the log and then dutifully packed everything back into the good-sized container and secured the lid. Only one of the 2 parts of the log was damp so hopefully all will be good now.We decided to have a quieter day today, so relaxed and then went out to look for some caches in and around town and also some Ad Labs. They took us to many of the local sights and features so it was a slowish journey with a few diversions as well.Mostly finds, but a few DNFs as well, maybe because the Council has done some pruning or maybe just because we were too tunnel visioned.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Hide-ee.**SKI Pair****

On a cache run in Tamworth picking up a few solved puzzles as well as some stray caches as we pass along the way. Spotted this one on approach as the contents were shrewn all over the hill. Managed to scoop everything up and place back into container. With the cache in hand, we signed the wet log then replaced everything in the spot we suspected to be GZ. Thanks for the cache Hide-ee and Bezerker....could do with a CO check and new logsheet. The following TBs came through for the mileage: Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Mary Hyde's Treasure, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust), Vanlith The Youngling, Hidden Creatures Geocoin TB, teamMerlin's Football, Tribute - Snickers, Lasse Lssig, Monkey See, Monkey Do, 030 TB - Geo#ju, Tobis Nikolo, Chase is on the case, Berlin - Cacherhauptstadt Geocoin

Beautiful vista from near here.
I found the cache tipped on its side and exposed, so when I put it back, I covered it well with the nearby natural material.

I found this cache during a 6-day road trip to Brisbane and back, the purpose of which was to deposit that elusive geocacher Miskit in a warmer clime. We drove up via the coast, but I came back via an inland route. In doing so I managed to find caches in 7 or 8 counties in which I had never found a cache. I also got to visit many cities and towns that I'd never been to before, and re-visit places that I hadn't visited for many years.
I learned that the inland route is slower and far more elevated. I had no idea that the New England Hwy got to over 1400 metres. I also learned that the inland way is 95% or more single-lane. And there's a lot of road work to fix all the damage from the rain. Single-lane + road work = lots of stopping. At one point I was stopped for 15 minutes at a temporary road light while the road work people did their thing.
All up it was a safe and successful trip. Lots of AL caches, especially in Brisbane. I wish I had a few more weeks in Brisbane and vicinity, plus a kayak, a ladder, and a longer fishing pole. Brisbane is chick-full of interesting caches. Hopefully I'll get back there one day soon.
Thanks to all the geocachers who hid caches. I enjoyed finding them. The sneakiest cache was near Guyra Railway Museum, and the hardest-to-reach was Numbers III (GC8XD6K) - a difficult tree climb in the north of Brisbane. This was also my favourite puzzle cache of the trip, although I didn't collect a lot of puzzle caches this trip - it was mainly about collecting challenges and counties. My fave AL was in Laurel Bank Park, Toowoomba. What a great little park!
I got Miskit to Brisbane okay, and he seems to have landed on his feet. And I got back to Canberra okay after over 2200kms on the road.

Nice quick find, felt like we were jungle explorers haha. Very fun indeed. The swag contents were a little sad though so we topped them up from the multitude I have stashed in my bag for exactly such an occasion! Glad to offload a whole heap. I hope the next finder has fun with the new bounty of swag!

Great hide found pretty easy. Only a 3L container not 5

Revisiting Tamworth after living here for a brief moment 35 years ago. The goal was to join in on parkrun and to turn as many markers to yellow smilies!
Thank you Hide-ee for your contribution to this great game.

Continuing on cleaning up the smilies around Tamworth, this was the next in the list after hiking to the summit of Flagstaff Mountain. I’m glad I spied what looked like a Geo track, as it was an easy find in comparison to some previous finders going by their logs. Great to see such a large container, and wishing I had some swag to leave behind. Thankful it’s not raining and I didn’t encounter any wild life.

A nice easy find! With geodog

I used to roam this area as a kid many moons ago

Given the history of this cache and given that it is clearly that it has been abandoned. I decided to spend some time fixing it up.

It has a new container, log and pen.
All old wet logs have been kept in container for history. I also spend some time on camo and collecting rubbish in the imediate area.
Feel free to contact me for future maintenance

#7131 Day 6 of our "Dayboro Plan B" trip. mtrax & myself, having decided to ditch the mega Sad came up with a last minute re-route using some of the accommodation we'd already booked and find some interesting caches. To this end we were very selective and only chose caches with sufficient FPs along the route. Today we are in an around Tamworth NSW. We still needed to grab a few we missed on the way in and explore Tamworth in general. The weather was warm but calm today and lots of people are on the move.

The treasure is totally trashed today. Lid is broken, contents are wet, all quite sad.

Thanks Hide-ee & Bezerker

We are staying in Uralla over Easter now, as our trip to go to the Dayboro mega in QLD fell through thanks to covid. So instead of going back home to Vic, we decided to stay and explore this area instead. So glad we did as it is truly a beautiful area.

Headed back down towards Tamworth today, and made our way to this cache. As others have noted, this cache has sadly suffered a bit of destruction. Some remnants of lid pieces were found scattered nearby, leaving just the main tub. We emptied out the water, and have placed the tub upside down over what is left of the contents, as to keep it right way up will just attract more water. Definitely needs urgent attention. TFTC.

Partially destroyed

28-Dec-20
We found this one pretty easily but the lid is broken and the log is soaked. We managed to sign it but it will need to be dried and given a new lid. TFTC!

24-Dec-20
Put some duck tape round the cache however it still doesn't have a lid and the contents is wet and full of garbage tftc.

20-Dec-20
This one is off the beaten trail. And has apparently been beaten to death by the elements.

Cool spot. A bit tricky to navigate with spiders. Definitely come wearing long pants. Took a while to find it even with its larger size.

Unfortunately, the cache is in a really bad state. The plastic container is completely broken. It's filled with a weird green liquid. I managed to sign the logbook because it had obviously dried since the last time it was rained on; but don't expect it to be functional. Also do not expect kids to be able to do any swaps from it.

Photo attached may be a spoiler, but demonstrates state of the cache if you want to know before looking.

Went for a little cache hunt after visiting the marsupial park and lookout. Geokids were right onto this one with such a good size container. Logbook wasn’t too damp considering the container only having half a lid! TFTC

Todays road venture takes us north from Timor and Glennes toward Tamworth to visit a friend and do some sight seeing. Neither of us have been out here before and we had planned to possibly visit Hanging Rock, Nundle and Chaffey Dam.
After taking in some magnificent views at the lookout, I quickly did the bush run to find this one.

Found with my boys on a boys quick camping trip up here for two nights. After finishing work I picked up the boys and headed off straight away. Next day we headed out to find as many non 1.5/1.5 rated caches as were around. Some fun and cheeky caches around these parts.
After our big walk for the weekend we had lunch. Then we set off to meet up with my parents. But had to drive past this cache, so we stopped for a quick find.
Thanks for the run and cache!
