Short-stuff has never seen The Simpsons, but the titles of these caches really appeal to her five-year-old sense of humour. So, to keep both of us amused, we decided a drive in the hills was in order.
Wow! indeed. What a great view!
And what a windy spot! Short-stuff got out of the car to help look, and quickly decided that it was hard enough staying upright, so went and buckled herself back in her seat, leaving me to complete the search. Another example of skilful camo.

Find # 1863
Well, it is a fine winters morning and again time for my caching partner in crime sedgwickDave and I to head out on another caching run, headed towards St Andrews, Hurstbridge and the Nutfield area. We usually cache on a Saturday, but decided to change it up a bit and do a Sunday this time.
This hide took us 10 - 15 minutes to find, a very clever piece of camo, also another fantastic view across the valley.
Thanks to homerjay73 for the cache. TNLN.

Found @1528 #1695
Today was another epic cache run with best mate Ahomburg thru the Yea, St. Andrews and Hurstbridge regions.
Some great views at GZ but this cache had me searching for a rather long time. Very well executed this cache. Once it was finally found had a big grin and very satisfied, was almost about to give up. A favorite. TFTC homerjay73

Finally found this one, don't know what all the fuss was about. Today I just walked up and grabbed it, thats the beauty of a good homerjay cache, gotta favorite it now I found it. Thanks.
I agree homerjay73, the view is amazing from gz. After i found the well camo'd cache i took a few moments to appreciate where i was before i returned to my aim for the day: finding caches. TFTC.
Driven past this for the last two years only just got the app. Great spot fantastic view
Firstly … love the name, and then there's the view . A very nice outlook today with all the bright green grass at the moment. The gizzmo sent to place where i thought i was about find a treasure, but alas, i didn't find one . While i was vocally cursing the sky-gods as i walked around in circles looking here … looking there, a call came from the other side of the car … 'here it is'. Janine found the container out in the open, near an unlikely hidey tree.
Given that no-one has mentioned bad co-ords, and that there were definite geo-trails near the posted GZ, i replaced the cache at a spot near to where the garmin said it should be (about 30m from where i found it).
All is ok inside and still dry, but you may want to check my placement. Thanks again HJ73

Wow is just about the right word to describe that view. Found with GeoDad @15:30 while picking up a few caches we missed a couple of weeks ago. Walked past & over it a few times before we clicked. Wish I had bought my camera.

01/06/2011 21:12 Found: #480 Ok I know this one is better done during the day but I needed a cache and this one fitted the bill. I was going to go out further but figured as I am clearing the homerjay caches I might as well do this one. For a country road it was busier than I expected with several cars passing me even whilst I wrote up the log. I therefore felt I had to be careful with the torch. Only when I got out of the car did I realise that I am still in my work pants so was pleased it was a pretty straight forward search. I don't know if it has a special hiding place but it was on the ground still in its camo. Even so, I still walked past it once before my geosense kicked in. I collected the cache and signed the log in the car as it was cold and I felt I was a little exposed to passing vehicles. Replaced cache where found. TFTC homerjay TNLN SL
On a clear day, you can see forever.
And, it was a great place for lunch.
Out for a drive and heading for Kinglake via a few outback roads.
I like the location and will have to come back and investigate the area a bit more.

Found with TrynaFindaCache. GPS was sending us in a circle until Tryna found it. Loved the camo and the view TFTC
On a weekend trip to Melb, my mate and I decided to head into the country for a drive. Found this cache quite easily, loved the container, and the way it was hidden. Signed the log and carefully replaced. TFTC
3.15 Just the two of us out today trying my new birthday present. Its working well and I think I will keep it. Took the wrong way in for this one (as usual). Loved what you have done to conceal the cache. We quickly signed the log and moved on. The best thing about country caching is there is no one about to pressure you. We took time out to drive around the affected areas of the dreadful bush fires of some 13 months ago. They have done a wonderful job in the rebuilding, and vegetation has come back so quickly, it is such a lovley area to come to.
Thanks for the cache

eww a spider now lives on your cache! but great camo and great views. TNLN, TFTC!
Found by Greg 1240H 28/10/10. Impressed with this camo job too. Bunnings must be impressed as well. TNLN TFTC.
Found cache sitting out in the open and exposed even though the camo was still on it. We have rehide where we believe it should go. Some amazing views from up here and the cows just looked at us as if to say what are you doing!!!! Found on the way home after the Back to the Beginning - 10 years of Vic caching! event cache....TFTH...SL....TNLN
14th of 23 finds for the night during a night cache run with Blacklegend17. Found at night so couldn't take in the area. TFTC.
12th of 21 on another night caching run with my good caching mate Marty (Quasar3671). Did it at night so i don't think we got the full impact of the series. Still, another one bites the dust. TFTC.
Found it in the after glow of a sunset storm. Which conviently blocked my view of the fire scars. So sick and tired of the the fires.
Didn't mean to take anything, but took cache to car to not look sus as road was busy. When got back home found beetle magnet stuck on bonnet.

Found at 4.05pm We have to agree the view from this spot in all directions is great - especially on such a lovely sunny day. The scares from the fires are clearly visiable from here. Great camo of such an everyday item for Mr - TNLN TFTC
Found eventually at 12:40. Excellent camouflaging. For a while there, I was Almost_stumped!! I was about to give up when on the last look, there it was. Well done with this one.
Enjoyed the views in between heads down looking.

Looked and looked but could not find. only new at this so will have to try another day
Found at 0830 hours, this was not one of the caches I had planed to do today.
But it was close to some other I had planned to do.
Glad I did it, great views & great cammo on the cache.
TNLN
The geocoin was not in the cache today, but the previous finder had noted that they picked it up.
They may not have logged the cache or the coin yet.

As local from Strathewen I thought who would hide something here. The view is great to the hills afar and to our little valley. What a great camo job, well done. Geoff, Kylee, Tim, Stuart and Sam. Help from Mark and Christine (well she found it!) (grey wombats)). Took the ingot geocoin TB2ETQ3 to help it in it's quest.
Great views. Although the hills look a bit bare. At least the trees are starting to grow back after the fires.
TN. L: Travel ingot GC.
Thanks for the well camoed cache Homerjay73.

Found 12.00 noon
Despite some nice cammo this one was a quick easy find with spot on co-ords.

Thanks again homerjay73

It is a great view from here during a sunny day like today.
I brought the cahe back to the car to show featherdown and then proceeded to admire the thread which went on forever!
Thanks homerjay73.

One of just a few caches I did today as I felt too lethargic to get out of the car for most of them
This one was delivered to me so I added my name to the log.
Nice cammo
Thanks

I enjoyed the views from GZ, as well as a nice quick find. Like the previous finder, it takes more time to open the container than to find it. THanks for the views, and for the cache.
Nice Cammo on this one and it took me a while to screw it open - thanks again HJ - King Jnr with the family in the car

Nice view, although the hail tended to close it in a little. Thankfully we got back into the car before getting stung too much.

This looked not too far away from a multi we had just found so took the opportunity. Found the cache alright around 12:40pm, but the view was wintry (wet, cold and windy - errk ). Off to a meat pie and coffee and to thaw out. Thanks anyway HJ73.
I would have called this cache green valley view, I enjoyed the view and the cache. Thanks homerjay73 for the cache.
A surprisingly pleasant view from gz, which would have been even better in the morning sun. Thanks for bringing us here Homerjay73.
The wind was so cold here today that the cows had grown long hair, and the horses across the road huddled together in their blankets. Nice view though.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
Found at 12.10 pm GAFF5 in the company of Rabbitto. Rabbitto finally found a cache first as I was looking at a spot well away from GZ (which continued to occur for the rest of the day) A nice hide next to the barb wire fence that shows evidence of cattle scratching themselves - they sure have tough hides!
Thanks homerjay73.
Thanks homerjay73.
You must have seen the view in better light than we did because my assessment was yea well. Actually not bad really and a nice hide too.
Thanks again homerjay73

Found today at 12:45 by junior geokids. Nothing to take, but left smiley face eraser and freddo tattoo. Nice little camo, always good to see something a little different from the norm. Ta for this one HomerJay.
Located by Rubus Pickers at 4.00pm on 8/7/09 after taking in the magnificent view. It must have been some sight on black Saturday with the view of the hills. TFTCSL. Thanks Homerjay73.
It was getting late in the day and we had a few more to do so we jumped out of the car and raced up to GZ where we almost tripped over the cache. It took longer to get the top off than it did to get here. Thanks again homerjay.
Find # 2840 and 15th of the day at 1:48 pm. Accompanied by 1 half of the Swaggies team on another Sunday out caching. Easy drive-by. TNLN, Left my mark in the log, Thanx Homerjay73...
I continued along on my trip this morning and found myself at this cache with a familiar sounding name. I recall being emailed an article with a similar theme some years ago. I've attached it to this log for others to have a read. I was impressed with the container more than the camo here, it appeared very water tight indeed.
Thanks,

Having been pretty much cacheless for the past month, I was able to get out today and thought I'd make yet another visit to this area to try to get all those HJ73 caches under control. On arriving at GZ for this one, I was not the only one sharing the location, as a pair of horse riders seemed to be doing a bit of training near the fence on the other side of the road. I didn't think I liked too odd as I exited my car and stood and admired the views while I surreptitiously located the well camouflaged cache - and they headed off for a gallop while I retrieved it and made my log entry.

Thanks HomerJ73

Found by Mary & David at 1240. A nice quick find, and again great camo. Now to just stand for a moment and admire that view. Dropped off 'LKGTJMs Travel Turtle Geocoin'. Our thanks once more to homerjay73.
With the last day of school holidays upon us, parenting duties took centre stage. A check of new caches revealed yet another new HJ73 cache nearby! For the second time in 3 days it was too tempting to leave so off we set, albeit with two negative thoughts running through our heads . Upon arriving at GZ though, we found that we were logging our 39th FTF ( × 39) (and our 12th HJ73 FTF ) at 09:00.
What a great view, although I couldn't help looking out upon the landscape with some degree of sadness from the events of only a couple of short months ago. And what another clever hide from HJ73 showing, what I believe, hiding techniques that exceed his experience . Very well done indeed!!
TNLNSL (on the first lined page after Bart for reference), although a swag of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Many thanks yet again homerjay73.
