Found during my business trip with my brother. Thank you, nice place.

Today we headed up from Brisbane and spent the afternoon exploring around the Point Cartwright Reserve. While walking around doing other caches we arrived here at the right low tide time that we could wander over and complete this Earthcache. We must have spent a good 30mins just looking around the GZ vacinity. With the tide out it was fascinating and there was a lot of interesting other rocks to see besides the Earthly ones we were answering questions on. Answers have been sent to the CO.Thanks for the Earthcache.

An earth cache at the end of Point Cartwright sounded like something I just had to do, and I was not disappointed. As I approached the GZ two Welcome Swallows were zooming around my head and I thought this was a great sign. I completed my study of the area and answers have been sent in. Before leaving I watched a couple of ships on the horizon going about their trade. A very pleasant day. Thank you -cslyoda- for bringing me here. Loved it!

Im on the coast for the weekend and noticed this Earthcache that I hadnt done on Point Cartwright. Even though I arrived fairly early, the riverside car park was full but luckily someone pulled out at the right time. It was halfway through the tides but low enough for me to easily reach gz. I found what I think was the right rock and studied both it and the cliff face. My answers have been sent to the CO. An interesting location on a beautiful winters day. TftEC

Very nice spot for a walk around I've been up the top and further down the beach many times but never got around to actually going down to these rocks. They are definitely worth seeing especially the cliff face.

Visiting here after a wonderful week in this area for the Australian Surf Life Saving titles. We have had many visits to this part of the World and always marvelled at the scenery and interesting rocks, but not taken the time to stop and think about them properly. Really enjoyed doing so and trying to remember back to my first year Geology days in the distant past as part of putting the answers together for this cache. Such a beautiful area here and wouldn't have thought to venture down to the bottom of the cliffs except for the motivation to do so from this cache. Thanks for setting it up!

Catching up on sending answers and logging caches from my trip to Australia with GarbageMan85. We stopped here with muggle friends who had no idea that we were geocaching. I love it when that happens. This is a very beautiful area. I ventured further along the cliff before realizing I needed to go lower. I enjoy travel and exploring. Thanks for bringing us here.

After a quiet Friday night, we headed out early from Brisbane with Alexander headlands as our target. Friends have a lovely apartment and we are up for a few drinks and dinner at the surf club.So with a bit of time before catching up, we stopped for a quick cache and to close out a nearby adventure lab.It didnt take long to get to ground zero and find the prize and write the log.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to foundCheers

We were there at 11:29 AM.A nice area to explore and the tide was ok to reach the required spot. The view of the cliff from this spot is quite impressive and added to the experience. Thanks to cslyoda

My first Earthcache in Australia, here for two months so may there be many more to find. I have also earned two souvenirs, Queensland and Australia today.

Beautiful day at Point Cartwright this morning. After doing some banking, I decided that it was time to collect the Point Cartwright caches. I now live relatively close to here and many of these caches are on my list for various reasons.

The tide was on its way out, and was reportedly 1m, but I was easily able to get to GZ, walking past kids playing in the rockpools, a couple of freedivers out on the other side of the rocks, dogs and their owners; it was a lovely day to be on or near the water, apart from the stiff breeze. Thanks for the reason to come down here, cslyoda

Mr CNQ was on day 3 of a trip from Bribie Island to Charters Towers and found himself battling both the public holiday traffic/parking and the incoming tide with a heavy swell and strong winds. Wasn't sure about access here but was able to to get close enough to collect some observations, then scoot around the headland for an older traditional cache. Found this a very interesting earthcache with the different layers highly visible, thanks for setting it up csyloda.

Alyce and I came here a few months ago to grab some caches, unfortunately at the time it was high tide so we didn’t get the chance to attempt this Earthcache. Fast forward a few months and I’m here thanks to Alyce for having an appointment nearby, so while she was preoccupied with that I ventured on over to Port Cartwright to try again, this time the tide was low which meant I had no issue navigating to GZ.

Once at GZ I was in awe! This little hidden gem is amazing! Beautiful views, stunning geology, I literally sat here for over two hours enjoying the sweet serenity and listening to the waves crash along the rocks. Bliss!

It didn’t take me long to gather the information but as stated above it was an amazing location to just sit back and relax.

Thanks for bringing me here and here’s a FP for the overall experience.

This was my third attempt to find this cache. First time was with wayn0, it was already getting dark when we got here. The second time was at high tide, the beach was foamy and quite vicious then.

Thank you for this earthcache cslyoda and the education.

Wow! Such a beautiful part of our coastline and really interesting geology. I found the honeycomb erosion in some rocks really beautiful and the mix of older and younger rocks on the shoreline fascinating….yes, hands up, genuine rock nerd. Thank you for high lighting this section of coast, it is a really worthwhile visit. We were racing the tide but managed to collect the answers. A really interesting rock near GZ which seems to have a piece of burnt timber within it,we could decide if it was fossilised or not…certainly had us talking! Thanks to cslyoda, answers sent.

I arrived at low tide to check out this area. On route I noticed the art on the water tank. I like seeing these structures covered in art. It was a beautiful Queensland winter day so it was a lovely day out, especially due to the fact it’s a Thursday. Weekends at places like this I always try to avoid! Too many people for me. Thanks for the Earthcache.
Cheers

Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I travelled north to Peregian Beach to attend [E's Community Celebration Event](https://coord.info/GC8K1N5). We next took a walk around the beach town with assistance from the newly published *Visit The Beach - Peregian Beach* Adventure Lab, before then travelling south to Mooloolaba for lunch at The Wharf. We then took a drive around to Point Cartwright and completed the rest of our Sunshine Coast adventure with a walk around the headland completing *Zara's Walk* Adventure Lab and a Location for *Oh, the places we'll go!".

I thought that you could just walk from the headland to this EarthCache, but after spying the lighthouse ahead of us, we took the proactive decision of heading along the beach, and I'm glad that we did. There really was some awesome geology being showcased along the beach, with the rock the right type to show its features as it has been impacted by the ocean erosion. We arrived at GZ, and made a few observations to then collect the answers, before compiling and sending onwards to the CO for verification. Thanks cslyoda for the EarthCache placement and organisation.

Up on the Sunshine Coast grab few more caches for a challenge cache. Glad I came up here because it rain in Brisbane, but in the end the rain did come up here. Got rain on at Point Cartwright. Rest of the day was good. Did spend to long at two DNF’s.

My haul today was 14 traditional, 2 earthcache and 2 adventure labs with 7 waypoints. In the end the finds count was 23 finds and 2 DNF.
I had lots of fun today.
Answer sent to CO.

Had a great walk with Muggle65 out to here. A pro photographer was using the beach to take some artistic shots of a couple. The ocean was certainly playing its part for her. Fabulous location. Thank you so much for bringing us here

23-Nov-21
This location is fabulous, & I saw people…. Lots of people, taking lunch, taking drink & taking photos, just around the headland from the GZ. We also debated that the terrain value was assigned due to the difficulty in finding parking anywhere near. I’m giving this a fav point, I think, my first Earth cache fav.

Such a beautiful walk in this area. 2 Brahminy Kites were sitting in trees high above calling together.
The rock formations are profound and beautiful. Such geological aging here.

I have been checking the tides regularly when I travel to this region. But given I'm mostly here to kayak at high tide, opportunities for collection of the answers were not forthcoming. On a ground based cache hunt today, and the tide was at a more friendly time, so we made our way here to grab the answers. TFTC!

I was in the area hunting a Q100, and nabbed this earthcache on the way back. What a lovely location. I used to come here, many a moon ago, to go snorkelling on the other side. We would bob in the water and wait for sunrise, and then watch the fish in their docile state as they slowly woke up. It was great below the waterline - and just as beautiful today above the waterline! Fabulous place, thanks for taking me here cslyoda.

After a lunch date nearby we decided to drop in for a visit at point Cartwright. We realised right away that the tide was out and thought to grab the opportunity and walk the whole loop around the point. Such an interested landscape!! We really enjoyed the scenery and we’re glad to have swung by at just the right time, on a really beautiful day. Thanks for the earthcache here, prompting us to venture down.

Wow, wow wow and repeat. Rode the Fat Bike up from Moffat Beach and the tides were perfect to ride all the way to the cache location.

It has been too many years since i have ventured around the point and had completely forgotten how magnificent it is both here and above.

With the cache duties complete it was time fro a coffee just around the corner and a beer on our return to Moffat Beach

Out for an afternoon grabbing caches at Point Cartwright. I'm no stranger to these rock pools at all, I spend most weekends here during low tides out on the rocks. I just kept putting this EC off, time and time again, because there was good stuff to be seen and fresh shells to be collected. After doing some CITO and grabbing a few nice fresh shells, I made my way to GZ and obtained the answers. Answers have been sent to CO. Thanks for the EC cslyoda!

I came out here again the other week and studied my surroundings answering the questions while enjoying the salty sea air.
I remember coming here as a kid thinking the cliff wall and adjacent hill were stupendous in size.
Thank you for creating this earthcache here inviting everyone down to the beach for a puddle hop, skip with some learning thrown in too.
Cheers.

Today we spent a few hours wandering around Point Cartwright, looking for geocaches and enjoying the spectacular views. It was a relief to finally have some sun and warmth after days of rain, and the sea and sky were blue and inviting.
We enjoyed the little walk around to this Earth Cache and found it surprisingly easy, mostly flat and not very far.
The rocks here- all of them- are quite fascinating, and we actually would have liked more information on some of them. We hope to be able to find out more, but for now we are happy to have seen such a geologically interesting spot and pretty views. Thank you for the EC.

What a fantastic location and this Earthcache has been on the radar since my last visit from the UK in 2018. Thankfully I timed the visit to coincide with the low tide. Tricky little Eartcache compared with some but great to try and work out what was going on. Many thanks.

What a neat place this is, and it is geocaching that brought us here today. We were lucky enough to find a carpark as we pulled in, and we walked down to the sand and rocks and made our way around from there. Being somewhere between low and high tide, the water was there but we were still able to get around to GZ. This area brought back a lot of memories for me of poking around rock pools in NZ and finding all sorts of creatures. Our answers have been emailed. Thanks for this earthcache, cslyoda! Smile

Tuesday Travels with bb and Rio. We are on a mission today, to collect some solved puzzle caches, to like some traffic lights and have a lovely walk around the wilds of Mooloolaba. Not to mention a bit of drive - we're not sure yet where we'll go, LOL!

If you only have time to do a few caches when you visit the Mooloolaba area, this is one I would pick not just because earthcaches are my favourite type of cache, but because it is in a really lovely spot. Being organised as usual (not!), we were lucky when we got here and the tide was out (phew!). You could spend hours here just watching the waves and enjoying the cool breeze on a warm day. I had a go at answering the questions (which I have sent through to the CO) - fingers crossed I get the thumbs up. Thank you so much for bringing us here cslyoda and for the earthcache, it was a beautiful place to visit Big Grin

Our answers have been sent to the CO and we hope they are satisfactory. We enjoyed walking around the rocks and exploring while here and were glad we came. Cheers and happy caching!

All the stories about Mooloolaba began with a study weekend. I've never heard before about this city but now I will never forget. This place is just magical. Many times I had to tweak myself for checking I'm not dreaming. To write all the stories I experienced in Mooloolaba, there is to little space in here...
In summary, the days we spent at the beach with sunbaking, swimming and walking along the beach to rocks and wet places. The nights we spent in The Wharf Tavern with dancing...
Mooloolaba will always stay in my mind, memories for lifetime...
Thank you for your Earthcache.

We do love the places caching takes us. Thank you for adding to our fun while here in Australia. Being "prairie folk" from central Canada, the ocean calls to us (of course the fact that it is summer here, and winter there helps!) and this was no exception. Such a beautiful place! Our Aussie friends said that they often see dolphins here... no luck today, but we'll be back! Thanks for a great earthcache! Gets a favourite from this crew. Answers sent to CO.

Accompanied Gcoven and woodyrothwell on their Sunny Coast cache drug run. First stop was Point Cartwright to collect a few caches on a great 'spring' morning. The highlight were the whales just off the point.

Interesting cliff formation and foundation rock type. In a previous working life worked on a physical model of the area testing breakwater lengths and the shoaling effect at the mouth of the river.

Answers sent to the CO. Thanks cslyoda for an interesting geological lesson of the area!!

As we walked around the point, I was amazed at how many dogs there were walking over the rocks. I was worried about tripping over and falling flat on my face but our four-legged friends were having a phat time and I was jealous. Note to self: don't fall over.

What a fantastic place, with great views of the coast and ocean. It looks like it could be a dangerous place at times with a high tide, but today was perfect. There's nothing better than a danger cache.

We looked at some rocks, kicked a few, stood on some and sat on others. Luckily we had a team member who has a great understanding of the subject matter and was able to point out to us what we needed. Fantastic spot and lesson.
