Driving past to see this famous Scotty, I parked nearby and proceeded on foot to GZ. As past logs have mentioned, I found the cache pretty quick with thanks to the hint but it really has been flattened and logbook unable to be retrieved. Not much maintenance I could do with this one, so I tucked it back in it’s hiding position, thanks.
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.
I am temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.
For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice.
replaced it for the co. new mint tin/magnet/pencil. I thought scottman wore nothing under there kilt, this one has golden undies on.
Base of pole? Searched every pole in the area! My phone says that it’s INSIDE of the motel!
In Adelaide for a flying weekend visit to celebrate my sister's 90th birthday and staying at Scotty's, this was a compulsory cache! Found it, but couldn't sign the log. Eclipse tin has lost its lid and the contents are a sorry damp mouldy mess. My cache repair kit is locked away at secure parking at Perth airport, and Budget Rental cars don't come supplied with the necessary! I suggest the CO should honour the geocaching code and do some maintenance.

A perfect Spring day for a drive around in north east Adelaide again.
A lot more muggles around today, and mostly good quick finds.
Thanks for the cache nomad_penguin,

Woo Hoo, another Pi day. [^] And a full day it was. Start at Freddo's Pi breakfast event, cache all day until BFE's Pi dinner event. Then I jumped in with MoneyDork, Semik and Anymules and headed out for further finds.
But now it was time to turn the geomobile towards home. This cache has not been a nemesis cache but rather one of those that you pass by regularly at the wrong time of day and say, "I must stop and grab that one day." I have lost count of the number of times I have said that and in the company of other cachers. Each time other caches look at me bemused and say, "Haven't you done that yet?" Even interstate cachers were saying that.
I began to believe I was the only cacher in Australia that was yet to do this cache. [B)]
But NOT TONIGHT. tonight was fast becoming tomorrow and so traffic was very light and STOP I did.
Wander across the road I did and found the cache in the first place I felt.
FINALLY a smiley joins the surrounding hordes.
Thanks Nomad Penguin for the cache.
Wonder what cache I will now have to bemoan for the next three or four years. [:O)]

Returning from some caching in the Northern suburbs with clare007...
We decided a Sunday afternoon might be a good time to grab this...it was quite warm so took shelter under Scotty's skirt waiting for traffic to ease...at least as much as possible...then raced out for a quick grab...like a cameleon...signed and placed back just as quickly...

Oh!!! BTW the lid has come off...

Last stop with hevwalker before heading home.
It had been humid again this afternoon & the concrete and building didn't cool us any.
Darkness would of been given us a bit more cover, but for a Sunday it was quite busy
luckily hevwalker had already spotted the cache & just had to find the right time ....
Another one cross off the list, thanks for the cache nomad_penguin

Out with steamer531. Found it. A very busy corner. How can you look inconspicuous? TFTC
A good time of he week to stop by this one. Not much traffic making the find quick and easy. TFTC. 14/08/2016, 7:18 AM Find #2555
Meandering our way north for some caches and then an event, couldn't resist getting this one. TFTC 14/08/2016 7:18 am Find #1507
I found this cache late on a Friday night, and the intersection wasn't as busy as I thought it may be.
The first place I put my hand, I had a cache in it - wished that happened more often! The eclipse tin is missing it's lid and the original log is very full and fairly unprotected from the weather.
So there are a couple of stories this cache has made me think of....
1) as a toddler and young child I was fascinated by the big Scottsman and wanted my parents to bring him home so I could play with him in the playroom - LOL - apparently I would go on about it relentlessly for ages, so they then would choose other routes to avoid that corner if they weren't up for the constant chatter.
2) I have been fortunate enough to see William Shatner live on stage twice now; and wow he is certainly a wonderful showman who is amazingly youthful for his age (his stamina rivals that of someone 30 years his junior!). They were certainly enjoyable and special nights.

For my namesake I'd better find this one or i'll never be beamed up Parked the Deadly-Treadly on GZ pretended to be tending to a 'problem' with it as to not look suspect, cars took off from the lights, 'swish' the grab was made and log was signed if not prompt as the log is full and falling apart, however I did find a spot at 09:50, 22 May 2016. Found while out caching with Snap Happy and SnappyTomCats. Great days caching with lots of laughs and fun. Sorry for the late and generic log...I am only new to GSAK.
Thanks nomad_penguin for placing and maintaining this cache.

Our last day of the weekend caching with Snap Happy and Tomboy 711 having lots of fun and laughter. This has been on our to do list for quite some time so after attending the SAGA Awards we took the opportunity to grab this one. Was a quick find and the lid has broken off. TFTC
JJ52 and I were out & about and just happened to be driving past here. I got JJ to swing into the motel carpark just in the nick of time and after tying some shoes laces the cache was found and we were quickly on our way.

Out on a Friday night with Ismartis and we just happened to be coming at this one from the right direction, so a quick turn into the carpark, a short wander to GZ and the cache was found.
Did the shoelace trick, but all the motorists weren't the least bit interested in what we were doing. [^]
Thanks for the cache nomad_penguin.

Day 2 in Adelaide and I thought that I would go for a ride along the Linear Trail and also complete a few caches; this was number six for the day. A quick find. TFTC.
Drove past this icon for a lot of times, but never found any good time, or good place to park. Today, made a point to find this cache, and got it! TFTC!
Have driven past this one many times and it was starting to bug me. So when I had to purchase some hardware that was only available from a nearby store I could not resist the opportunity to grab this one even though it was lunchtime. Think I managed to retrieve and replace the cache without too much suspicion. Like previous finders shoe laces just seem to keep coming undone. Oh Well. TFTC

Finally found myself going by with enough time to grab a park ..... and then the cache!! Thanks nomad penquin for the hide!!
We needed a quick easy find tonight to keep a run going, knowing time would be very short and we were out of daylight. This cache fit the bill perfectly, plus now we also know what is up Scotty's kilt

Who knows what's up that Kilt, a few cobwebs we would think so! Quick find while in Adelaide TFTC
Parked in Scottys and mum spotted it as soon as we walked around the corner! GEOCACHE HOODRATS
Found it, Due to the hint it took longer to get across the road than it did to make the find. Retrieving and replacing the cache without being muggled was the next problem, unfortunately for me my shoe laces kept coming undone which made this step a bit easier. Log book is really full

Found with grandson Xam after a game of lawn bowls at Prospect/Broadview Bowling Club. A very quick find. Had previously found similar one on Henley Beach Rd. Unfortunately didn't have a pen with us so didn't sign the log book. TFTF
Cool local landmark. I wasted a lot of time looking up the kilt for this one. I misinterpreted the hint and thought it was answering the age-old question....Anyway.... TFTC
last one on a late night early morning caching run in the dark . Always wondered what was up a scot man kilt
Woo hoo!!! Child free night and instead of a romantic dinner I took my lovely wife caching in Adelaide.
Thank you for the cache nomad_penguin, this was number 3 for the day.

We went out for a walk with GeoGranny and she found this cache (her first ever!) here near the Scotsman. Granny checked for the cache under the Scotsman's kilt, but didn't find it there . Thankfully the Scotsman was wearing his tartan jocks!

A quick find.
Still a few cars around at midnight but not too bad.
People were signing a bus ticket?
So I put in a replacement log sheet.
