A nice warm Autumn morning caching the backroads around Burra before enjoying lunch in this historic town. Many thanks for this multi TheKellyGang
Last night fitzy_1965 and I stayed at my cousin's place. We, like the rest of the household, were up and on the road early. Our plan was to attend the Mega site, target a D5/T5 cache type that we missed last Feb 29, and then head as far North as we could collecting counties along the way.We ended up in Wilmington at a great pub/hotel and were very thankful for the new air con!We managed to jag a park right outside the Mega site carpark....couldn't have planned that if we tried! Now we are off to collect oldies & counties as whatever inbetween. This was one of them. All caches found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.
34,274. Found with minniek during our trip to The Great Leap Forward Mega Event in Adelaide on 29th February 2024.Day 3 : After staying overnight at minniek's cousin's place, we headed into town this morning for the main event - literally. After lots of planning and driving we were finally here ! After the fun of the Mega was over, we cherrypicked a few caches in town, then headed north County hunting. This was the next cache on our list - and another oldie as well ! A quick find once at GZ. We stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then went on to the next one. Thanks TheKellyGang !!
The JAMS team (JJ52, allister w, mogni, sir_spectre) along with tallbikestan left home early to head up to Clare for the June Long Weekend and of course we didn't go straight there. We had a few detours along the way which made for an interesting day travelling around stopping at Truro, Eudunda, Worlds End, Burra and Mintaro with the occasional cache in between.
We arrived in Clare with just enough time to check into our accommodation, do a bit of shopping and get to the dinner event. A great start to our weekend. [^]
Stopped off to grab this one while we were here.
Thanks for the cache TheKellyGang.

A beautiful quaint little hamlet.
It's great to be able to travel and see so many quaint little country towns.
As we meander down towards GeoVenture 2020 (in 2021), Millicent, we stopped to put a smiley here.
It's wonderful to explore SA through the eyes of a Geocacher,
especially when it takes us to such interesting places.
We found your cache and with signing duties done and dusted,
we replace the cache as found.
Thanks for sharing this interesting historical location.

Day 1
Doing the multi bop down the road. Maybe the quickest solve of the day. cache fine.
found with Mogni and Jacknor. We where heading up Carrieton for a couple of days and then on to the Flinders Rangers for 5 days. The plan was to find as many of the church multi's as we could going up and then bright and early the next day head off to the " Bendleby Ranges " 4 x 4 tracks. Then clear the next section of multi's between Carrieton and Rawnsley Station and of course a few stray trads that would help Jacknor's jasper grid. A straight week of over 30 degrees meant less hiking than planned but we still got to the top of Rawnsley Bluff as well as some other smaller hikes. The Rawnsley station 4 x 4 track was completed and by then it was time to decamp and start the drive home. Stopped at orroroo and cleared the town out before going back to the church multi grind. All caches that where found that were brittle or damaged were replaced and extra logs added to those caches that the scroll was full or almost full, except for nano's. Nano's are evil spawn and you can do your own maintanence on them.

Today I headed from Adelaide up north caching my way along from cache to cache and found myself in Peterborough for the evening. Stopped at Clare and Burra along the way as well as doing a few lab caches. Roughly 80 finds for the day.

Found during our return back to Adelaide via Yunta and Burra from a caching trip to Arkaroola and the Vulkathunna-Gammon Ranges National Park in the northern Flinders Ranges for the week. Really enjoyed the spectacular landscapes, the 4WD tracks, and the walking and rock-climbing in the quest for some challenging caches in a remote region of the State. Found that the lock on the cache container needs a bit of attention as I could not get it to close properly, but other that that, a very nice find! Thanks for the cache bopping pg!
Ok, I’ll admit it - I was singing nice easy offset cache. Wasn’t sure at first, as I thought I’d end up in the road, but coords were spot on. Tftc
It was that time of the week again. It was time for the Wednesday Wanderings of the Puzzled Puzzler group in search of those smilies. [^] Today I got to join S.A. Sewer Rats, Blackadders and sushilord for a wander up towards Burra in search of solved puzzles and anything else that we were passing. [^]
Try not to sing the song in your head while searching! You %&*%$#. Try not having it in your head going to find it - searching - finding - signing - then driving away. Finally it was gone and now I have to log it and that damn ear worm is back! [:(!] Damn you - May the mullet headed kids haunt your dreams PG.
**Thanks TheKellyGang for this cache. **

The usual weekly Wednesday with some of the Puzzled Puzzlers. The plan was to clear out Burra and any others on the way. The Starfish, KORF and the Adder met at the Sewer Rats at 9am for this long day of seeking plastic containers in the outback.
I don't know what is worse, the "MMMBop" or B&J's "Dumb Ways to Die" going around in your head.
The info quickly gathered and a safe find at GZ. TFTC MMMMMBob MMMbop MMMbop.

Heading home after helping at a car rally in Burra - taking my time hunting caches as I go and this was next. After a bit of navigation issues got to the published coords where I quickly worked out a sensible looking GZ and had the cache in hand quickly. Thanks heaps to bopping pg for this one
Driving to McLaren Vale, saw this one stopped, quickly got the information, quick find, signed log and replaced. Thanks to TheKellyGang a few unloved days.
TFTC,
On the road and finding a few caches when we take a break from driving.

As our holiday is almost finished now, we are just tiki-touring around the local countryside picking up as many caches as we can. Hot weather is forecast so travelling in the air conditioned car is the preferable way to get around today.

After a week in Broken Hill visiting relatives and finding a few caches we are heading back to Adelaide via Clare to fly home on Saturday. We enjoyed the variety of caches along the highway and very thankful to all the COs for placing them there and maintaining as well. It provided a necessary break in the drive.
Trying to improve our multi tally for an SFE challenge cache so we stopped for this one. Very apt and we enjoyed the stop calculation and find TFTC
mmmm yep, mmm bop. Couldn't help it as I had some time to get the worm turning while I made the quick calculations. Log soon in hand, song took a while to dislodge. TFTC
Owl and Eagle were heading home after a caching and sightseeing trip (respectively!) owl insisted that there was more to be found... I mean, seen... in the area, so some stops were made. Quick calculations were done and the cache found before Eagle realised he'd been had. Owl doesn't know what the song was, so is immune to the planted earworm.
Dang he song on the way to GZ. And will probably be singing it for half the afternoon now too as it’s one of those really bad ear worms.
Thanks for the cache TheKellyGang.

Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.
Today I was lucky enough to be out and about with some of those friends and we targeted this cache.
Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!

A nice easy multi to do.
Today Gary and I travelled from Moonta back to Burra and then to Adelaide! Some of the cache hides were easy, others were more challenging, but overall we enjoyed yet another wonderful day with fantastic weather.
Thanks for the cache TheKellyGang

Woo hoo, the lovely Micaparamedic and I decided we would attend the June Long Weekend Event in South Australia (Edithburgh) and make the most of a road trip to the glorious Yorke Peninsula by spending a week away - NICE! [^]
We particularly enjoyed exploring Innes National Park and focussing on the new earth caches on the YP and in Burra.

#6379 - 11:55; Day 5 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune. After a night in Burra, today we decided to head down to Clare for some sightseeing and caching then caching our way back to Burra before picking up some caches around the town. We were now headed back to Burra from our mini mission in Clare when we stopped in Hanson for this well named cache. Gathered the required information and after a short stroll, soon had the cache in hand. TFTC TheKellyGang
On the road to the Alice Springs Mega with LuckyL10n. We headed through Hay, Mildura, Loxton, Burra before arriving in Port Augusta for the trek up the highway. Collected a good number of caches and all were found with no issues and the logs were soon signed.
Thanks for the cache and fun in getting to it and finding it.

Yes, this IS a quick multi at a bit of an obscure location. Quick find and then a lap of the buildings before heading off home. (No idea what the song reference means!) Cache #2614.
A quick stop and grab as i passed through here on my way to Jamestown for an event, i had the tune in my head doing the cache and now i have that damn tune in my head again logging this one. TFTC

Brodie and I wanted a drive and muggle partner decided he'd come with us, on the promise of a pub tea somewhere and being home early.
He got the pub tea (very nice, too) at Burra and we did get home before midnight, so I guess that was early (for me)
We saw rabbits, green paddocks, golden paddocks, a gorgeous sunset, fog sitting above our heads on the road and just generally had a lovely relaxing time out
Only 12 cache finds today but with 3 FTFs included, it was a good day
It was so cold tonight that it made us walk faster than normal while doing this cache...brrrr.
However a cache is a cache and this one had to be found...which it was

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia.
Staying overnight at Burra Showgrounds before moving closer to Gawler. Today was a very late start to the day after a very cold night.
Departing camp at around 10.30am we headed for Redbanks conservation area. Where Mr Felix did the loop walk whilst Mrs Felix headed back towards town to grab some other smilies.
An interesting day, so much history has been preserved to share here in Burra. A very lovely town indeend.
