Found at 11.15am GAFF5 in the company of xambo4u. There was no one doing any restoration work this morning, so we were able to search without any bother. Lucky that xambo4u was looking differently, because our attention was completely elsewhere.

Thanks vk3jap

Our friends have just moved to Romsey and we made an afternoon of Geocaching the local area, this was the fourth and last one for the day (kids were getting shirty) . Found at 5:00pm, took batman card, and left a native hunter. This took us the longest to find. Thumbs up.

Found by Team Ladava around 4.15 after a bit of a search.
A fascinating bit of history that we would not have been aware of without your cache.
My goodness there is some wealth in those horse studs and hobby farms to the east of GZ

Our thanks to Ian vk3jap for the cache

Having worked this morning I was craving a few caches but with rain and high winds decided to grab a few local caches. Parked up outside the school and followed the GPSr round the buildings then having looked in a few likely places the cache was spotted.

Thanks VK3JAP

Came up here with feathertop after a long local caching absence. It felt a bit funny entering the scholl but all the logs and notes said it was okay and after a while feathertop's eagle eye spotted what turned out to be a cache.
Thanks Ian

Kerrie has brought us a couple of caches and every time I come here I think, what a nice place to live. Wonder if they have any fire risk here? probably, but not in winter and nothing better than a deserted school as I don't like kids a lot!
Not the first place I looked but spotted soon after after two other options proved dry,
Thanks Ian

After stopping off at Riddell's Creek for a coffee it was time for this one. The buliding looked occupied and in a way it is as someone is clearly staying there as they re-paint this lovely old school house. The GPS picked out an obvious hide but my first foray there came up empty. It was when I came back ther a few minutes later that I found the neat hide!

Thanks vk3jap for highlighting this lovely old place. Nice to see it being renovated.

7th find of the day and 1990th total find at 14:39.

We were initially troubled about this cache being behind a locked gate, and that it did not appear to be on public land.

However after having our initial log deleted by the cache owner, I was enticed to do some extra research. I have since discovered that:
* there is a pedestrian gate a little further up the hill from the vehicle gate, and
* visitors are welcome/encouraged to come in a look around even if the gate is locked.
* it is even possible to have a picnic in the grounds when the weather is nice.
* the only reason the gate is locked is to keep the local hoons from entering after hours and doing donuts and wheelies in the grounds.

It would be nice if vk3jap could add something to the cache page to indicate that whilst the cache is technically on private property, free access is welcomed at all times via the pedestrian access gate a little further up the hill.

Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Dropped: Geocoin
Thanks vk3jap for the cache.

Whoops. I thought this was still the GCA moveable. Luckily I read the notes when I found the cache.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks vk3jap for this cache. While I was watching the ladies doing the restoration came out to find out what I was doing. I explained and they were pleased that someone had recognised the value of the location and history and were more than pleased to have the cache remain in place.

Found at 1630 after a lovely picnic at our Geokid's school nearby. Peeped through the glass to have a look inside the classroom and what an interesting building it was. Would never have known had it not been for this cache. Thanks for another good one Ian. TNLNSL

Found this on the site after dinner tonight so decided to go and see if we (Lumeah also with us) could get our first FTF. Did find the cache at 10.10pm the log book was the same as the previously named Golden Oldies and no ftf certificate included for this new location. But we consider this our F FTF!!
