Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
This morning we left Rapid Bay for the final run to Cape Jarvis and the ferry ride to Kangaroo Island. On the way we visited this cache.
Beautiful lookout. Used GPS and adjusted coords as well but could not find a ache. We think CO needs to check on this cache.

Coords are way out, like by 25m; go with DavidWazza’s corrected coords, and that’s where you’ll find it

Brrrr freezing. Cache coords way out as others have noted. Roadtrip caching with CrackedChelle
It’s a day off today as the job’s not ready. I’ve made the most of it by heading down the coast to do some geo sight seeing. TFTC
Jesswrigley and I were staying for an extended weekend just outside Cape Jervis, and today was our final day as we made the return trip back to Adelaide. We geocached around Cape Jervis, walked around the old mining area of Talisker Conservation Park, checked out some wind farms, and then drove back via Port Noarlunga.
Some really nice views from this location, but as previously mentioned, this cache's coordinates were 18-20 m out. We followed the clues, and I walked towards one bush down the slope (which turned out to be more like 30 m), while jesswrigley nailed the location following the circumference around the carpark to make the find. The actual coordinates were S 35° 35.670' E 138° 06.459', and so the coordinates should probably be updated. Otherwise all good, thanks.

GPS was about 20 m out, but spotted the suspicious pile of rocks while admiring the views!
An afternoon drive with my Dad.... A return visit for me. I had to wait for the muggles to leave and then after a big hunt found the cache about 20m from coords listed.

Found while waiting for the ferry. Thank you very much for the cache. Greetings from Swiss cachers.
Coordinates changed from:

Coordinates changed to:
S 35° 35.680 E 138° 6.460
Distance from original: 120.8 feet or 36.8 meters.
Sorry..was a little dangerous for non-mountain goats, especially as there is a wind factor down here sometimes

I am currently in Adelaide caring fir my elderly aunt... I shall get home and check this one is okay when I get a chance.
Did not find, scoured the cliffside looking pretty hard and no dice, I have a feeling a seagull's taken off with it. I would recommend the owners to check and confirm it is still in place before anyone else attempts. Otherwise someone is going to plummet off the cliff trying to find a plastic container. Cheers for the cache anyway, amazing view.
I had a quick look but was getting nervous about the geopooch wandering over the edge. I think I needed to go down further than I was keen too...
Great views though.
Great views though.
JetFuselage and I thought this might be on the flat part of the headland but nope, it's on the dangerous part. Had to abandon because it was blowing a gale and we thought we were in risk of being blown off! Oh well, something to find next time we visit.
My first find in South Australia and quite the day to do it. The wind turbines spinning violently away from a stiff northerly. Beautiful location you wouldn’t find without geocaching! The log is quite wet and the pens gone. TFTC!
Geez ... this took 30 min. Glad I wasnt trying to squeeze it in before the next ferry.
I could not find it at the published coords using my GPS.
Then read previous logs and looked 13m away in a semi circle. That put me very close to the edge of a rocky and crumbly cliff. Terrain 5 stuff.
Worried and frustrated, I worked my way back up and found the cache up high in the safe zone.
I put it back where I found it. I put two white rocks in front of the cache.
Coords where I found it:
S 35 35.665
E 138 06.449.
Stay safe!

Escaped home for the long weekend and decided to spend it caching and kayaking around the fleurieu peninsula area. Was a good eventful weekend accompanied by -Beaker-, FerociousFlea and a roaring sun. Very high and very scary however all that came with a very nice view.

Found with Astronaut99 and Beaker on a long weekend camping, kayaking and geocaching adventure up the Coorong and all over the Fleurieu Peninsula. Highlights included seeing hundreds of Pelicans in the Coorong, Jellyfish in the crystal clear waters at Victor Harbour/Port Elliot, visiting a sea cave, and waking up in our swags on Australia Day to see the silhouette of kangaroos! Thanks
Found with FerociousFlea and Astronaut99 on our trip around the Fleurieu Peninsula for the Australia Day LWE. It was certainly a hot one!!
This was just one of 70 found during the weekend.
An amazing view of Morgans and KI from up here. Found the cache was about 13 metres out from the co-ords.

#2920 Well did we make hard work of this one, clambering over rocks down the steep face as far as we dared and all for nothing as we discovered the cache higher up and exposed. It was showing quite a few metres out on our GPSr today and with so many hidey possibilities we were lucky to spot it. We re-covered it a little bit better than found. TFTC NormyCrew
Phenomenal view from the lookout although would definitely not recommend this one in unfriendly weather. Sat loc a bit off today but a quick check of the likely spots meant an easy find. TFTC!
We travelled from Adelaide to KI, Cape Jervis, the Grampians, GreatOceanRoad, Melbourne, the Red Centre with Uluru, Kings Canyon and Alice Springs and finally to Perth and it`s southwest Coast. What a great holiday trip. Lovely spots, wonderful beaches, a lot of kangaroos, koalas, seals …! By the way, we cached a bit. Many thanks to all owners for hiding the caches.

Went to GZ, car there, went for a drive came back, car still there, decided to park and wait...and wait until he finally left. Grabbed cache only to find someone else arrived so just had to sit until they left. It was hard getting to this one but only due to muggles.
Made friends with a Ravin. We named him Rick. Seems to like twistes Good view 10/10 would view again!!!
This one is FAR TOO CLOSE to CLIFF EDGE to be caching safe. I went into a panic mode while Hubby was looking for it TFTC
continuing on our quick visit to Adelaide and surrounds
today McLaren Vale and south to cape Jervis
the earthcache lured us out here
had to have a look at the others

O M G that was just a little precarious !!!
I guess it is only a terrain two, as long as you don't go too far.
Definitely keep your kids and old wobbly cats away from this one!
Adrenalin slowly wearing off...

Thankfully the rain had cleared by the time I reached this lookout. Lots of water to be seen without the need for rain.

Headed to this one after our picnic another amazing spot on a stormy day. TFTC made a quick find here in a great spot this is what caching is all about.
Thanks for the cache. We arrived at the lookout at the end of daylight and a great day exploring Fleurieu Peninsula. This is my first sunset over a beach. Because I live on the East coast of Qld I've seen many sun rises over a beach but never a sunset
Cheers

On a South Australia holiday for a few days with some muggle family members. Because I was the only geocacher I couldn't just cache all day and every day.. even though this would have been my preferred option After some research a decision was made. My priorities were Webcams, Earthcaches, Virtuals and caches to help fill grids for the Jasmer Challenge. Even though I was surrounded by muggles, this was a successful venture. Three Webcam caches, ten Earthcaches, three Virtuals and six grids filled for Jasmer Challenge. Four extra bonus caches were found due to proximity. I'm looking forward to revisiting SA.
Cheers

We are in South Australia for a one week holiday at the Lady Bay Resort at the golf club near Normanville. Day 4 - a day closer to 'home' - south to Cape Jervis and a bit more.
Wonderful views - so glad we came here. Mrs RoddyC sat on the edge of the cliff to log a geocache. About 130 meters below was the water. I was talking to a retired copper from Adelaide while this was going on - he was looking for signs of schools of fish so he could go fishing in the right spot - which he later did. He told me of how the winter storms erode all the sand from the beaches, but the summer winds bring them back - pure white pristine sands. Not to view today, though, too early I guess.
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 4.05pm on 28th November, 2016. TFTC

The photo of me GCing off the edge of Australia looks more adventurous than it actually was, but as advised not suitable for children. I felt I might fly off in the strong winds. But is a great view and lots of fun. Tftc!!!
Found during a brief stay in Cape Jervis, many thanks C.O.

Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! We are currently on the first section of our journey, which started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. Yesterday we drove on to Cape Jervis where we are at present. Tomorrow we travel on to Kangaroo Island. After leaving the island we will travel slowly towards Melbourne, via Goolwa, Coorong, Mount Grambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. From Melbourne we head to Tasmania for a few days, then back to Melbourne before setting off to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. After a visit to Sydney we will travel on to the Gold Coast, then after spending a few days in the nearby mountainous birding hotspots, followed by an overnight trip to Fraser Island, we will fly from Brisbane to Cairns, visiting yet more good birding sites. We will then drive up to Cape Tribulation before heading back south again to Port Douglas and a day out on the Great Barrier Reef. We then return to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs, where we will hire a 4x4 camper and set off for a week on the circuit to and from Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock. We then fly to Darwin from where we will spend the last two weeks of our holiday making our way to Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
We visited this spot at dawn as we couldn't resist the opportunity to search out a cache before catching the ferry to Kangaroo Island. A great view from Ground Zero with a Nankeen Kestrel flying below us. Thanks for the cache!

or down a rocky road, it took us a lot longer but hevwalker made the find.

Gorgeous coastal views from here. CPWanderer, Clare007 & I searched a bit for this one, the wind was blowing, I moved down a level to locate the cache. The container is starting to deteriorate a bit but still ok. I took the TB to move on. TFTC NormyCrew
It was windy ................. as it nearly always is here ................ so this proved a little risky! Located with hevwalker12 and clare007! Thanks NormyCrew for the hide!
Fantastic views from the lookout, after we walked from Cape Jervis ferry to the northern end of Morgans with the geodog. Dropped off TB Steerin' Stella (whose mission is to have views of the ocean).
Signed log and took a few photos.

We spent a lazy long weekend at the nearby caravan park and a bit of caching was about as energetic as we got. I was a bit worried there was going to be some cliff climbing when I saw where the arrow was pointing but my fears were soon allayed. Cheers. MODU.
Beautiful view. Beautiful beach. Kids enjoyed the water - too cold for the adults! And DM made first find and is now a GeoKid!!! No log in the cache and I didn't have one with me so left some post-it-notes. TFTC.

We had company while searching for this geocache. hovering only several metres above head height was a guy in his hang glider! We've never been so close to one of them, and it looked truly exhilarating. I'm sure the views were almost as good from this cache though, and height above sea level is very apparent here!
Thanks NormyCrew.
Thanks NormyCrew.
Unsure if this has been moved. Found 20m from its gps location and no log book. Just a geocaching card. Apart from that amazing views tftc!
A calm day with some fantastic views of the island and coast, saw a huge pod of dolphins swim by they must have been rounding up a school of fish for a feed was fasinating to watch TFTC NormyCrew
We are staying in Normanville with earthlight for a few days, it is day 2 and today we make our way to rapid bay area grabbing caches along the way, a very scary spot to be and we found the cache nice and easy. TFTC
In the area to scatter some ashes with the extended family. Yes be careful with this one, especially if it is a windy day. Stupendous view. GPS going all over the place but geopartner found a likely niche. Then I looked for it to find it staring right at me. Thanx
Bloody brilliant. Invigorating, terrifying, challenging, sheer fun. Highly recommended for adults or much much older children who obey directions!
Loved it!

On our daytrip to Kangaroo Island we found also this cache. Very nice Place here. This was my first cache in 2015.
We found this cache during our 5 week trip thru Eastern Australia and Tasmania. We startet in Cairns, down to Sydney, a cruise to Tasmania and then with the camper to Adelaide. On the way we will search more nice locations, geocaching helps us a lot.
Many thanks also for this cache and greetings from GPSnini (from Switzerland)
