Finally found some success after a couple of dissapointments today. Found almost straight away. Te Awamutu has a lot of nice spots to walk or sit i'm finding and the day isn't too bad for it either. The cache will need more paper as current log is nearly full. TFTC.
Walked straight to it after taking our grand daughter out for lunch. Another dot day crossed off. Tftc
Well we started in the wrong place, guess it pays to read all notes and take head. Some muggles using the skate bowl (if that's what it's call) but no need to worry as you are pretty secluded within the trees with this one. NZPatoto found this one first but that was because I did not trust or could not use the GPS I had downloaded. Lots of things to get use to reading & understanding. Nice spot though listening to the cicadas. 2 down and 6 to go.
A few muggles at the skate park. Nahkins had the notes. Something to do with cabbage trees. She said this way I said my arrow pointing this way so I went my way. Found cabbage trees so kept following arrow until whippee found it. Not far behind was Nahkins. She finally realised there were more cabbage trees. We probably entered the park at the wrong end which made the search a bit longer.
Easy to find, possibly has been moved as it still said we were 6 meters from it when we found it
This cache was one of the many caches we found on our 6 day campervan journey from Tauranga to Lower Hutt via Waihi, Cambridge, New Plymouth and along the west coast to Wanganui and back to the Hutt. A mighty and enjoyable journey which took us to many great and iconic parts of the north island and of course some great geocaches. Many thanks to the many CO's for the great cache placements and for bringing us to so many new places. Sorry about the generic log but 200 plus to log. TFTC
Day tripping in the wonderful Waikato.
Popped by here and made a quick and easy find on a stinking hot day.
Cache in order; log signed, then safely re-hidden, just as found.
A hitherto undiscovered wee spot for me. Was interested to read the historical information on the sign in the carpark. Excellent historical perspective. Thanks for that.
TFTC found with Ms PDM , but no Sweet P in tow today
The Turtle strikes again!

Went for a walk after dinner while staying the night in the town, this was about the only active cache within walking distance. Loved the little park and the approach to GZ. Found very quickly, however the logbook is completely full and the plastic bag is ripped so will no longer be waterproof. Needs some TLC from the owner. Signed log (in about the only spot I could find), TFTC.
Passing through here on our way to Hamilton for a Geo road trip ..... Quick find of the cache and hoping rain stays away. Tftc
Quick find thanks to the hint. Our first visit to TA and it's nice to get out and about to find some caches.
Second attempt and found it. Still was hard! We need to listen to the clues better! Enjoyable summer evening hunt.
Parked at the parking place and walked down to the bridge and across to make a quick find. Cache in good condition, not many people about. Lovely area, quite picturesque.
Thanks cashkids
Thanks cashkids
Was in town for a funeral today ... (you were and angel with broken wings flying too close to the ground little Maddox) decided to take some time out and put some smilies on the map (maybe seeing a smily will help improve the mood of the day) ... this one was next on my list with 2 faces happy and 1 sad I wondered ... it was steadily raining so I was hoping the walk from parking would be quick ... spotted cache easily ... nice place to stop and walk ... left symbol of peace and friendship
lid is cracked ... and log nearly full (might take 2 more finds ..onto last page) plastic bag ripped and I had no supplies with me but log was dry .

Lovely area. The cache had got itself uncovered, but I left it covered. TFTC cashkids.
I called in this evening after dark, and think I walked the long way around, but it was still pleasant. The frogs were going crazy croaking away, and competing with the sound of the skateboards in the distant. A quick find thanks to a good clue. TFTC
Cool little hide, interesting history here. Thanks for bringing us to another place we would've passed by ☺
Had us walking all over the park but is that brofge safe? (Hint) Cool when we found it though
I was hoping this was a nice easy find as it was our last of the day as it was starting to get dark. I wasn't disappointed. Tftc. Another great day out caching with big butts in a can and my son.
We were Staying at Te Awamutu with friends, for a couple of days so I was out locating a geo cache or two each day. This was the first time I had actually 'explored'. This little town. And I rather liked it. It had all the amenities without the hassle of the big city. thank you for this cache and another smiley face.
Nice quick find. Interesting spot, though the pond looks pretty stagnant. Cheers.
Finally a cache with no muggles to avoid. Thanks for sharing some of the history of this pretty area
thanks to all the owners of the geocaches that we found today on the way to Ngaruawahia, Hamilton, Te Awamutu and Otorohanga ... we had a lovely day with nice caches!
TFTC and greetings from Belgium.

Never heard so many frogs - awesome! The park looks in need of a bit of care, lots of rubbish about. Quick find, TFTC
Logged together with Tarkal on our New Zealand tour. Our plans is to go by campervan; starting from Auckland and ending up in Christchurch 25 Days later. During taht time we will see a lot of New Zealand and hopefully find caches in the interesting places, and maybe some caches between .
This was a intersesting park with all trees, bushes and water. The cache became a bit harder to find because we missunderstood the hint [:o], but now we know a new English word .
Thanks for the cache.
