Zalgariath of Sydney’s Personal Best Attempt in Derbyshire – March 19th 2011. Total of 53 caches in 12 hours including the entire Tissington Trail and Ashbourne Town by bike, and a good few number of Pirates after on foot! Found lots of TB’s and had an amazing DNF free day.

Thanks to all the hiders and sorry for the cut and paste job but this is an awful lot of logging Very Happy Cheers from Australia

Cache Notes: A wonderful cache that was a highlight of a very busy day. Worked my way by bike around the town picking up the other caches in town while knocking off waypoints. Loads of muggles around on this sunny saturday but none paid heed on me wandering and riding around. Silly me forgot to write down the values of the letters for the final but luckily my memory didnt fail me and the check sum was reassuring. Just made it to GZ before another activity blocked it off for the afternoon. A nice hide and very interesting cache. Thanks a lot Very Happy

Loved this cache and the walk around Ashbourne. We particularly liked the tunnel on the Tissington Trail (and the fact that we could walk through it to get another cache!). From here we couldn't work out why the written directions seemed to be taking us in the opposite direction to the arrow until we worked out that it was a diversion to the church which, luckily, was open today. It really is worth having a look inside, especially to see the poignant and beautiful memorial to Penelope Boothby.

For the record it took us 3 miles and 4 hours - lots of little diversions along the side alleys and into the shops, lunch at the rather fabulous Bramhalls' Deli and Cafe, and four other caches to look for on the way round made it more like a day out than a cache trail Smile Thanks for setting up such a good walk and TFTC

We were back in Ashbourne today on the way to the Ukgeocachers shop and to finish off this multi that we had started on a wet sunday morning.

A nice and interesting walk and a good finish.

This was a very pleasant walk round the town late on a Sunday afternoon. It had been raining hard all afternoon and the streets were almost deserted. Picked up all the clues and found the final cache.
