Heading out today to do a big loop drive and knock over some LGAs. Cherry picking our caches. Love checking out rivers so this one drew us to it. Pen still in the cache, how amazing is that! Tftc
TaurusSix and I had a lovely Saturday evening and stay over in Bridgetown. We watched a local Rep Theatre production which was good fun and good quality for a small town amateur production. After a lovely breakfast in down town Bridgetown we started our geocaching for the day. The plan being to clear up all outstanding caches around the Bridgetown area and then out towards Boyup Brook before heading back to Bunbury at a decent time to get life in order ready for a big work week next week. The morning was very foggy and frosty , layers were needed but by mid morning with the sun rising it burnt off all the fog and turned the frost to dew and it turned out to be a lovely warm ish winters day. Perfect day for geocaching and exploring this lovely part of WA.
This was our thirteenth cache find of the day and proved very interesting . We initially tried to navigate here from the south heading north as we had been on some back roads that way collecting other caches . As we neared the river we realised there was no chance of crossing , it was completely flooded and we could not see how deep or indeed how much mud was around. Therefore we circled back to the main road and headed through Boyup Brook and headed south . Very interesting spot for the geocache and yes definitely free from any danger of flooding. Once we had found, logged and replaced cache we went to explore the flooding from this side . There was about 150 metres under water. Thanks for the cache and the great experience Wandering Aus .

With Mr dimor on days off I thought a caching road trip was needed if I want 100 finds this month, of course I do. So yesterday after a few caches around Nannup it was time to head to Bridgetown and some more caches later in the day and bunk down for an overnighter.
This morning a visit to the two Op Shops in town (didn't have what I wanted) as well as a few caches it was time to hit the road home to Bunbury via Boyup Brook.
Grabbed two caches in Winnejup area and wasn't sure if we should take the gravel track to here but unsure of the river crossing. We didn't so came the sealed/gravel route found the cache easily then went and looked at the river crossing, it was all good. A lovely quite area.

Out and about again, this time down in the Collie- Boyup Brook area, it was a really wet day so it was slow going - had a careful of muggles.
Found a variety of hides and in different areas which made for a nice day. Generally quick finds today
Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides I found.

Amazing hidden clearing! The view is quite spectacular. It is easy when you have found the cache at Skeleton Bridge. TFTC.
We drove to GZ and found the cache after a short walk through scrub. This is a lovely spot.
We found your cache whilst on a trip down south with the geofamily. All caches were found in good condition.
Staying at Maranup Ford for a week and took a day trip out to Boyup Brook today to take in some the sights, plus find a few smileys about the place of course.
Took the drive out to this one and a quick find once at GZ.
WanderingAus I found your cache at 1:53pm, this was the 3rd of 5 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 7266. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

I don’t want to even guess how you drove down this road to discover the hiding place. I would never have thought to come here but for the cache. Thanks for the hide.
Catching up on some missing online logs.
The Better Half and I had a caching day that ranged from Bridgetown to Boyup Brook and surrounds after staying with friends at a cabin in Bridgetown.
Cache was found without problems but was damaged. We didn't have any replacements so had to leave it that way but we noticed that you must have come by after us and now it is all OK.
Log signed and cache returned as found.
Thanks WanderingAus for placing this cache for us to find.

WanderingAus wandered by on a maintenance run, found the cache badly in need of replacement due to disintegrated plastic and water damage.
Replaced the cache and all contents with a drab camo'd screw-top plastic container, 70mm x 70mm rounded square by 155m high, with log book, a pen, 2 pencils, a sharpener, Finders Cards, and a few swaps.

Quite an easy find. Thanks!
The container is cracked and needs replacing, sorry I didn't have a replacement with me. Due to the dry weather the cache is in good condition despite the crack.

We are very much enjoying our tour around the south west of the state with ilook4geo, which is taking us to some of the smaller towns and off the beaten tourist route. This is what we like to do most and the caching has shown us so much of the history and beauty of the area.
This was a nice simple find and all was soon done to keep the cache record in order. Thanks go to WanderingAus for placing a cache here.

The caching tour of south western WA with goingplaces2 is going well with lots of caches to be found. This was one on our list for the day. TFTC.
Sent Mr OOH YEH out on a caching run down south to turn some of those green boxes into smileys. Managed to find all the ones that was on our list with a few that took a bit of searching. Thanks to all the CO,S for placing these caches.
Down south on a boys camping trip for a few days, with cravo10 and a couple of muggle mates who have accounts (Rebeljac and Matty333)
Managed to snag a bunch of caches on the way down and back including a few near where we stayed at Big Brook Dam near Manjimup and Pemberton.
Thanks to the local COs for their caches.

Nice day out today due to the few storms about I should have come here a few months ago when the river was in flood, nice quiet location except a few cow bellowing TFTC
Out for a morning run while staying in Boyup Brook and after a DNF I saw that this one was only 3km away, just the right distance for today but I forgot to take the hills into account. Made it to GZ and made a quick find, almost a year since it was last found.

Was a great location.
For a walk. And see the flowing river.
We took our Muggle Brother and Sister inlaw out with us.

I wondered what was going to be down this road, as I headed out of towne, before even going into towne
Turns out to be a beautiful riverside area and ford across the Blackwood
After exploring the crossing and listening to the sound of the babbling brook, I headed back along the road a bit for the short stroll to GZ
And out on the rocky platform, I soon tracked down a neatly hidden cache [^]
As for this cache being above the high tide mark ??
I'm not so sure !! [:o]
A yellow marker about 60 metres west of this spot, shows the height of the January '82 flood.
Water came almost up to the road !!

On my way home from Katanning decided to pull in and grab this one good quick fund tftc
WanderingAus wandered by to replace the perished container, and found nothing wrong with it.
There were also two undamaged log books, one of which was put there by Melodydove in response to the log by Bekstar12.
I decided to replace the complete cache anyway, with a slightly smaller screw top fruit container, log book, Finders Cards, 2 pencils and a pencil sharpener.
Somewhere in Australia there is a waterlogged cache with a perished container - I hope it's not one of mine.

Melodydove replaced the log book and reported cache in fair condition. I expect to replace the container early May 2013.
A quick find on a long weekend out and about through the orchard country and Wheatbelt. Thanks for this spot, would look lovely in spring time. TFTC

Cache is perished and completely water logged I didn't have anything to replace it with sorry.
Found this one on my way southwards for a week of caching and camaraderie. Made a quick detour out to grab this one on my way through town. All good with the cache. Left a trackable to continue it's journey. Thanks for the cache WanderingAus
Nearby river crossing was closed, plenty of water heading downstream!
Nice little spot that is easily missed when just driving past.

Spent the night in Bunbury and decided to collected some caches on our way home to Albany. This was an easy find and one of many we found for the day. TFTC WanderingAus
It was a bit hard to find but we ended up standing on top of it in the end. There were a few things in the container.
WanderingAus wandered by, heading out and about to maintain some of my caches after spending a couple of days placing caches and writing cache pages on behalf of the Waroona Visitors Centre and the Harvey River Management Group.
After Greenbushes and Bridgetown I swung by to check on this one. All was OK except someone had souvenired the pencil sharpener, so I dropped in a new one.
All good to go again.

Found by geo-daughter. Massive scream because as she removed it from it's hidey hole it was followed by a sizeable spider !.
Found nice spot. Staying in Greenbushes so did a day trip today with Mezzleowl. No 2 for today. TFTC WanderingAus
Hot today and we thought maybe too hot to handle the rocks however Ms Bushies2 found it very quickly, phew! Took a TB. Thanks WanderingAus for the cache.
