The Adam website appears to be down. And has been for months. I hope this cache can be salvaged.
Found with gridge98 today out caching on a hard hike around the area.
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
Today my partner and I set off for a nice loop walk around the area completing a section of the Hysen then Mawson trail. Total of 7.5km walked.
This was a great puzzle, so many chocolates and everyone likes chocolate so can’t complain there.
Arrived at GZ. And the cache took some finding, after not being found for 1.5years I looked in the obvious spotted and dug deep but no luck searched around the area some more but came back and dig some more and sure enough there it was well buried. Cache is all good
There was a mob of emus nearby too.

This evening with looming COVID-19 lockdown impacts growing closer every day, I was still determined to head out for some fitness whilst we still had the freedoms. Hence, the plan tonight was taking my mountain bike and checking out some of the trails and Mawson Trail around the edge of Montacute Conservation Park. I parked on Batchelor Road at the junction where it was signed for only authorised vehicles were permitted with gates erected. I'm not sure if taking the MTB was the best decision in hindsight, as the fire tracks had some really steep hills, that I think 30-40% of the time, I was off my MTB and walking the bike up the hills. Many, if not all of the geocaches along the way hadn't been found in quite some time (months to years!), which also decreased any risk of COVID-19 transmission. There were some nice views of the dam and valleys around the place, and a few kangaroos were spotted, as well as chasing a family of mountain goats down the hill at one point.
This was my final cache tonight before I turned around to return back down the hill. It was a heavy slog getting here, and so enjoyed the rest that this geocache hunt required me to do. I searched a few obvious spots, and then kept expanding the vicinity. Still no cache, and I was hesitant to start climbing around the cliff rocks since the terrain rating didn't suggest I needed to do that. I kept returning to the obvious spot, and then by interrogating the area further, sure enough, the cache was found. This one was a bit of a mission indeed. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Zytheran for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Out and about with Malco!. I needed to do a catchup hike and knew Mal would be up for it. Convinced the GeoWife to come along on what was not a pleasant day. Rained most of the time. Windy most of the time. Cold most of the time. Down hill most of the time. Missed all the views due to fog. Apart from all that, a great day. After a useful hint I was on the right track. I'm a sucker for a Cherryripe. Thanks
Found on a late afternoon stroll around Montacute Conservation Park.
Th main objective was to visit the three nearby challenge caches. But it was also an opportunity to finally visit this cache that has been languishing in my solved but not yet found pile for quite a while.
Like the chocolates depicted on the cache page, the puzzle was quite enjoyable once I’d got through the wrappers, so to speak. The hide was a bit like that too, with a good covering of leaf litter. Both the cache and contents remain in good condition.
Thanks Zytheran for the puzzle and the cache.

This was one of those caches that we had solved a long time ago, but never got around to finding...until today. We had hiked right past the correct location several times in the past weeks not even thinking about finding a cache, then with a rekindled interest in caching, we returned again to this spot to find the treasure.
Looked in the obvious spot...nothing! Looked around elsewhere...nothing! Went back to the obvious spot..Found it! How did we miss that before?
Another great puzzle and fantastic final location. I think these Z puzzle caches is what keeps drawing us back to caching - some mind bending antics to solve the puzzles and final locations that are always worth the effort of getting there!

Another Trekking Tuesday for the Puzzled Puzzlers group. Today's group were myself Mrs. SA Sewer Rats, Doctor Owl and a very ill Anymules who we kept at arms length lest he infect us with his ailments. Our target was the Montacute Conservation Park for the caches there and the new SFE challenges. [8)
The ladies decided to return to the car after the challenges due to Mrs. Rat falling and injuring herself. Anymules and I continued on. [8)] After a long slog up the Heysen Trail route to the top we now continued on the ridge line to complete a loop.
On the way up we had seen some spectacular cliffs from the trail and we both thought....Zee territory. [:o)] Now we found ourself's at the top of said cliffs. [B)] Wow straight down. Luckily the GPS pointed to a particular place at the top but after a thorough search..nada.
Anymules Channeled his inner zee and went looking at more 4.5 or 5.0 star terrain whilst I took a more in depth look at GZ. And it was there that I found the cache. Two years since it was last found meant a lot of natural camo had accumulated over the top. Now we just had to get Anymules back from his adventure!
The cache was in great condition and good for another few years until the next puzzler comes along.
A FP for the spectacular location. The photo's just don't do it justice!

A long walk to get here and lots of searching at GZ.
Cache was well buried in debris but the cache container and contents were in great condition.
Thanks for the cache Zytheran.

We have been puzzling over this one since it was published nearly 7 years ago but kept getting distracted with the thought of chocolates, mmmmmmmmm Chocolate.
Finally puzzled out a GZ without actually solving the puzzle (which is arguable as we did work out coords from the information presented, just not in the intended way).
Enjoyed our autumn stroll and soon found the cache.

Continued on the trek to here, with magnificient views, and peacefulness.
Can see the roadworks along this track for the prep work for the height extension of the dam wall.
Had the GZ for so long for this one, I can't remember how many chocolates were consumed in solving...
Sushi will be a dark chocoholic when he finds out that he was probably standing on the cache contemplating his fate if he went over the edge!

I solved this tasty puzzle several years ago in preparation for an expedition that was going to pass close by. Two years ago the expedition didn't use the planned route due to a nearby bushfire.
This brings me to today. There was nothing to stop the expedition using the planned route- beauty. Approaching GZ typical Zytheran country came into view. Hopeful I pushed on until I got to within 3 metres of the cache, Knowing the Zytheran terrain rating I wasn't prepared to tackle that last couple of mteres in the shoes I was weariong in the interests of self preservation.
I'll come better prepared next time: good shoes, crampons, ropes, helmet and a buddy.
Thanks for the challenge Z.

Found It!
After trying to solve this puzzle and getting nowhere I noticed that a certain chocolate amphibian had unknowingly posted the final coords in a rather public spot. So with that out of the way I just had a big hill to climb. Mr Scoobster (who had actually solved the puzzle) joined me for the hike and after a lot of counting down altitudes left to climb we made it to the top. It then took quite an extensive search to find the cache since it was well buried under 2 years worth of leaf litter. Some fantastic views from both GZ and most of the track up there!
So the question now is: How do you solve it? (even with a few hints from Scoobsters I still can't get it to work out)

Found in the company of Malco, Chillibutts, Tiger Muffin and Cache or Check during a 20 km clamber up hill and down dale, with much more hill than dale, for the better part of the day. Enjoyed the great views along the way. Thanks for the cache Zytheran!
VISIT ONLY (logbook signed, but puzzle not solved)
Wow, what a HUGE day of hiking. 13 caches and some REAL quality caches. TFTC Zytheran

As CoC states, this was the start of an 18km trek through Montacute and Mt Crawford for the fearless five (T_M, CoC, FW, M! and CB).
Mmmmmmm.....chocolate!! I had some minor issues solving this puzzle but they were mainy due to my drooling all over my workings from time to time. Having trekked our way along the ridge from KC Dam we finally came home with the chocolates on this one. Still some yards to go but we can confidently say we didn't sell ourselves short getting to this one.
Mmmmmmm......toblerone. TFTC Z.

Another find with the four other guys (TM, CoC, FW & CB).
When setting up one of my own unknown caches, I thought I'd invented an original puzzle. I was happy with this delusion until I tried to solve Chocolates and after failing to crack the solution I eventually considered my own puzzle basis and found Mr Z has thought of it well before me. I was a little deflated but that was balanced by the success of solving another well crafted mystery.
GZ was the central point of a long day's journey for the 5 of us. Once found it was a still long journey back to the car. TM said: What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Um... I guess I do feel a little stronger.
Thanks for the cache, Zytheran.

The 20km walk in the park by the foolish five (TM,M!,FW,CB&CoC) part 12
Foolish: Were we foolish to venture all this way on foot? A few of the previous finders took the easy way to this cache, but only on foot did we really earn our chocolates. It’d be foolish as well to go looking too far over the edge here. This could have easily been a 5 star terrain cache.....

I like chocolate. Mummy and Daddy don't like it when I have chocolate. For some reason, I need to be washed every time I eat chocolate. Unfortunately, there was no chocolate in this cache (what gives?). And I was even more disappointed when Daddy left me in the backpack and wouldn't let me near the edge. Something about falling. Oh well, the view wasn't too bad, I suppose. TFTC Mr Zytheran
Ah, Mad May '09. How we recall those frantic nights trying to find solutions for a FTF (which never happened)! We eventually did get a solution for this one, but then never got to this part of the world until today. Some fantastic views on the walk in (approaching from the west), and also from GZ, although we didn't hang around too long with Sir Maxy getting toey in the backpack. First Zee cache find in quite a while. Took TB. TFTC Z.
This one was found without consuming a Freddo.
It had been on the radar for a while. The morning after the night at Thomas Hill was the day. [^]
It was so nice to be able to drive to this one. The gate code paid for an all!!
The last metre was not as scary as the previous weekend's doing.
I think this was my 5th Sunday in succession doing a scary Z cache.
And they call it the Sabbath. Bunkum.
Clear skies from TeamAstro.
With help from our friends Freddo and Astro, we managed to find this cache. We had the gate code as part of the 11.11.11 event cache so we were able to do this one as a drive by....The views were magic and that sheer drop off was daunting. Astro almost decided to take a closer look, but luckily stopped in time. Thanks for showing us this special spot.
Spent quite some time on the puzzle, but required a hint to get me over the line - doh [B)]!
After a long walk, finally arrived at GZ for a quick find.
Took reflector hand. Left marble and dice. SL.
Found a nice place to sit and celebrate our find with a chocolate donut and KitKat .
Thanks again Zytheran.

I had this puzzle worked out quite a while ago however when I plotted it on a map I decided it could wait till the weather improved a bit.
Turned out I should have just gone for it straight away as not only did I have to endure two rain fronts that came through on the walk but while I was hunting the cliffs near GZ it hailed on me just for good measure
In the end the cache was found in the spot I should have looked in first, log signed and a diabetes TB dropped off. Then it was back to the car for a well earned chocy bar.
All up a 6km round trip for me as well. Kicking myself that I lost the access key I used to have to this area a couple of years ago!
Cheers Z. 1 more to go before I visit the fat lady [^]maybe!

Success!!!! Unfortunatly we tackled this hike from the bottom of Isaac Rd... in Cudlee Creek... Definatly the long way around. I suppose it was a good thing, we needed to burn off all those calories we put on eating chocolate while trying to solve the puzzle! Not only did we go the long way - we took an extra valley and made it even more harder for ourselves... Either way it was a successful journey and an enjoyable day out in Australia's finest country lands.... Thanks for the cache... Certainly enjoyed the location of it.
I’m not sure if I came in the smartest way, as I was in the vicinity picking up another cache and determined that there were trails and tracks that would take me to this one. By the time I got back to the car, I had clocked up almost 6km; in this terrain, that’s a workout [^].
Great views from GZ. Once there I was sorry I hadn’t lugged a thermos of tea up with me; I did however indulge in a couple of energy chocolate bars, which seemed very appropriate [^] .
Incidentally, I never realised that some of our well-known chokky treats had such a long history. Thanks for another great cache, Z. Cheers .

Another Mad May silver to the frog nation. Beautiful day for a stroll in the park. Our choice of access was via FT1 from the top. A 6km round trip. Slightly longer than the bottom access but not as tough. Cache on a hill, as usual. Coords spot on, as usual. Laughing man in the cache, as usual. Yes, bees and mud were spotted during our travels.
By the time I reached the cache, it was dusk and I could have really done with a chocolate. Still it was nice just to have my coordinates confirmed with a cache, and to sit at the top of the cliff and rest my aching calf muscles. Took in some great scenery on the walk, and glimpses of city lights while walking back in the dark.
Took: buddha & Nilbog's geocoin

Also won my biggest ever prize on a FTF scratchie... another scratchie
Thanks Zytheran, for a great puzzle with a glass and a half of chocolately goodness!
