17:51We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out!Spent a lot more time than the DR of 1.5 suggested and contacted a PAF. Still this 1.5/1.5 didn't want to show itself to us today!Based on what the PAF advised, the GZ is some 12m west of where the cache is located.Anyway, thanks AussieTrainDriver for bringing us to this location. *This log composed and published using Geocaching Swiss Army Knife (GSAK).*
9/11/2024 17:51Please see 'Found' log. As a Traditional type cache, the container should be located at the listed co'ords. We note other logs also remarking about the accuracy of the co-ordinates.
Find # 15981Off for a day trip, some shopping in Bendigo, then a wander down the Calder Hwy to grab a few caches and AdLabs.Ended up in Gisborne to kill a bit of time as my original plan was to be on Mount Macedon at dusk. Had a wild jumping signal here, both phone and GPSr. Thankfully geosence kicked in (after a good 10min) and I managed to locate the goods. TFTC Captain Amazing, Team_Ninja
The year 10s have bested me as well. Spent quite some time searching and widened my search area but still came up short. Perhaps this one needs a welfare check from CO?
The Year 10's were too good for me today. Never mind it gives me a good reason to come back this way.
Second attempt at this one, no kids around this time so not as much pressure. Cache found after ignoring wild GPS signals. Follow ones instincts...thanks for placing this cache here and making us stop
My phone gps had me a little off target here so i thoroughly searched the wrong spot for a while. Eventually i widened my search and soon had the cache in hand. The log is a little off damp but perfectly functional and now has my moniker on it.
It has been a while since i hit the road and found some caches so i was wrapped to have found myself with time today and quite a number of days free over the next three weeks. I spent the afternoon caching in the Macedon and Trentham areas today and ended up with 25 finds, 2 DNFs, 1 did not attempt and a lot of fun. The geopooch has missed exploring and walking and most particularly swimming, she managed to get plenty of all three. I tested my legs by wearing shorts and unsurprisingly, found that blackberry, thistle and scrub were far more uncomfortable than usual. I also found some pretty sketchy four wheel drive tracks including steep hills, puddles, deep ruts and washouts. One of the hills was too much for my poor old banger and i had to do a thirty point turn on a steep section to return and find another way, i thought only fairly minor damage was inflicted. Unfortunately the geomobile was making some horrible noises on the way home so i think i will have to check it out tomorrow and see what i can do to keep her on the road for a little longer.

Couldn’t find it anywhere, there’s no tree to be seen where it has been pin pointed.
Signs of covid times apparent in the log book...limited finds since early 2019. And built up leave decay around the box. A piece of history itself.
Coordinates threw us off a bit , was hidden very well but was also very soggy so didn’t try to get the log book out

Couldn’t find it, looked everywhere in a 20m radius outside the gate.
Try again another day.

Chasing tree climbs in the area, we had to abort due to the inclement weather. So a few trads were sought after as we made our way back to Ballarat in the company of wozzle68. Google wanted to take us the long way around but we had a road all the way to the cache!
Thanks Year 10's and Team_Ninja for the hide.

Cache found after abit of searching around. Coords were a bit off but found the cache eventually. All looks to be in good order inside. Thanks for the cache!
Finally! I found this one so hard!! Third time lucky I guess yay GPS is completely wrong! Don't go by that but go for your gut feeling. Over all thank you cache looks in good condition
Have to love a find after a DNF. Not in the first place we looked though. Thanks for the cache.

Out on a Ride with the Geo-Wife on our Geo-motorcycles and this was our first stop. Had an 11m error today. But using the hint the cache was quickly found. Our first time here.
Thanks **Captain amazing, Team Ninja**

I've driven past here a number of times, pre-caching, over the years visiting a friend who has a property just down the road. I hadn't been for a while until earlier last year so naturally checked out any nearby caches. Unfortunately I think this one had already gone awol at that stage because I'm pretty sure I checked in the right place.
Anyway, today saw me back in the surrounding area, so I suggested to the muggle family that we could perhaps go for a slightly longer drive to search for this one now that it was back in action. With a promised visit to the always enjoyable Macedon pub afterwards we were off. A short search this time at gz came up with the goods. Thanks for the cache.

Four DNF's in a row, it sounds like it's missing. TD'd until I can get up to Macedon to have a look.
Went to GZ and then extended our search within a 10m radius but still didn't find it.
Out caching with Jacko83 and Bentley. I was surprised to see a school out here. We had to widen the search area to make the find. Signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the Cache Team Ninja

Out and about with Ausfox!, n0worries and Bentley for day of caching around the Macedon Gisborne area.
This cache has been on my radar for some time and was great to pick it up today.
What a beautiful spot to have a school.
Cheers

What a great bit of bushland so close to town. Took the rough road in then noticed the sign where we'd come from that said 'No Road'... Oh well we got there. Left the car running as I'd had a flat battery a few weeks back so didn't really fancy getting stuck out here! Although I'm sure the mower man stopping to check on what we were up to would have helped us out. Took a good few minutes to find it as it was 11m away from our coords, but I'm using an iPhone so not surprised. Think my muggle friend is now hooked even if she was a bit worried I'd taken her on a wild goose change for this one. Lots of goodies in the container. TNLN. TFTC Team_Ninja & co
Travelling around Australia and we are currently staying in Woodend.
So many jobs to tackle whilst here, finally it was lunch time but we had our stuff together to head on to Gisborne to find a few caches.
What a great afternoon some awesome spots and some great caches to boot.
Home after dark but that's what it's all about.

Found this today with my three boys and our dog.
This cache took a few minutes to find as it wasn't in what I thought was the obvious place. We walked back to the road, turned around and if it was a snake it would have bit us.
Left a small ball, Took a Army Man.
Thanks.

Found it eventually ! It was about 9 meters away from coordinates. Was good to venture back to the school were hubby and I meet! Great family drive with geo-puppy helping us out
A later afternoon cache. It took a few minutes of the GPSr and phone telling me the cache was some 9m away from its actual location which threw me off for a bit. Log only. Thanks for the hide.
No luck for me today. Had a good scrounge around, all to no avail. I will return in the future for another hunt !!!
Tooo nice a day to be inside so what else to do in the sunshine but enjoy finding a few semi local caches that I needed to clean up.
I hadn't been down here before and didn't even know that Macedon Grammar existed. GPS had me all over the place until geo brain finally kicked in and the cache was found and log signed.
Thanks Team Ninja

Made the most of the fine weather and went out on a caching run with BJ. Happy to say we had DNF free day TN, left a pathtag. TFTC Team Ninja
Suscoe's 24th find from 38 caches today as we headed around the Gisbourne area with our good friend Bushfire.
It was a cool day with quite a bit of cloud cover and a steady cool breeze keeping the temperature in the mid to low teens.
The sprinkle of rain from Thursday had disappeared and all was good as we headed around the local roads.
A delightful drive into the bush today found us arriving here.
A quick find but the cache was somewhat exposed.
So after signing had taken place we used a bit of the local camo to disguise things a bit better.
Thanks to team Ninja for placing this cache.

Bushfire and the suscoe cachers decided to venture up to this part of the state and put a few more smilies on the map as we have had a number of mysteries worked out for far too long plus there are a number of multi's to test us out as well.
Leaving Geelong early with breakfast at Bacchus Marsh and then it was out to the Lerderderg State Park and then up here to Gisborne this was my 22nd find for the day. We had a great day finding four mysteries, seven multi's and the rest traditionals and the most important thing was no DNF's.
After the little bit of rain the area smelt terrific and the cache was soon found ,signed and we were off on our way. Thanks Team Ninja for placing this cache out here. Very quiet out here today.

We approached this from the wrong direction, admittedly the sign did say 'no road', so we walked the last 80m due to mud impeding our journey by car. The cache was quickly found. Thanks for bringing us here, into unknown territory.
i was looking a bit away from where the GPS took me but that was obviously good because
found with kizalee

Found this on our way home from Gisborne through the back roads - (we weren't quite lost) and almost drove straight up to it. Took a leopard rubber and left a seagull we had brought home with us from a recent trip to the Gold Coast. Thanks!
After a family outing at Lancefield today we decided to stop and get this cache on the way home with the kids.
While trying to find it we stumbled across a baby echidna which was a real highlight for the kids. We eventually found it in a usual hiding spot, however it was about 7m away from were the GPS was telling us.
Thanks for a good find for the kids they had a ball

Went off delivering our polystyrene speckled Easter Eggs. Cache in good order signed log and left Egg. TFTC
A quick park and grab at lunch time between the teachers driving into towne for a quick lunch or smoko

Last time we were here it was the Triple R holiday ranch. Nice cache. Found by Mrs, Doc looked straight past it. Took a mini hiliter and left a key (to learning perhaps?). No snakes today - too hot even for them to be out and about but we were attacked by a horde of stupid March flies that didn't know it was January. TFTC Cheers
Made this easy hide tough by sticking too closely to the GPS ground zero, after walking just a few metres the spot was really obvious.
Funny the links I have to to this place yet never been here before. My sister attended here along with a few of my cousins back last century and now I have three grandkids currently attending not to mention my daughter in law, (the grandkids mother) working here part time as well. We drove out because the family wanted to show us their school and lo and behold there is a cache here. Can't pass that can we?
Lovely spot. Thanks indeed

Another Saturday, another trip to the outlaws' in Riddell... this time the kids are helping Gran decorate the Christmas tree. Me? I'm taking a short trip up the road for a few more smileys.
First cab off the rank and the coordinates were out enough to lead me slightly stray, but there aren't a huge number of hiding places around GZ, so success was still fairly swift.
Certainly not much chance of being muggles out on this hot sunny weekend... though I can imagine the place being lively at times.

Come at this one from the wrong way. Parked the car on the side of the dirt road and started walking.400 metres down a muddy track. Only when we got within 50 metres or so we realised we could have found it without getting our feet wet ! Oh well it was fun anyway. Left a crazy bean. TFTC
B1 and B2 got lost from the previous cache, so what do you do? You find the nearest cache while finding your way back to Trentham. This was it and we hit the muddy, unmade roads to find this one. B1 headed off away from the school with GPS. B2 used the clues to find the cache. Somehow instinct kicked in and B2 knew it was not far from school. A great hide and a quick find. Thanks Team Ninja
This looks like a great school - lots of space around it. The cache was found without too much difficulty - we left a trackable for the next person. Thanks for the hide.
After a couple of DNFs, it was nice to get a fairly easy one. Never been here before though. Thanks.
I enjoyed exploring a new area, what a peace situation for a school
thank you Team Ninja, for the cache. sl tnln

This cache formed a pat of my weekend away. We came up Kyneton for the Saturday / Sunday to watch some racing at the Kyneton car club. There was lots of time in between to do some caching. I cleaned out a lot of cache trash. It is amazing what other cachers call swag. Took a averaged reading with my Garmin. TFTC
