Have found someone who is going to look after this one so keep an eye out in the new year.
Thanks Boos Dad. I will send through the adoption request as soon as I get to a computer rather then try looking on the iPhones.

I will just disable this one for the moment and will contact a local catcher who may wish to adopt this one as they have done with some of ours in the past. If no news in a few days we will archive.

had another good look for this one. maybe a maintenance run or archiving is in order
never mind where the airport is, where's the cache? had a good look around gz and came up empty handed. this cache hasnt been seen for ages so maybe its missing?
We wanted to get this after our DNF last time so we pulled up down the road and walked towards GZ, we were just about at 0 when I spotted a snake.....OK back to the car and will try again next time I am over this way.
Talk about a jungle. GZ had me in the middle of a thorny bush. I did see a RTA witches hat nearby but nothing.
Cheers

More like a Did Not Attempt! I got within 11M of GZ but the scrub didn't want to let me in and the Grass is not much shorter than I am ( I am not short) and I took 1 step in the Grass and decided I would contact CO and find out where to be looking.
Thanks for the help Team Casho I will return and see if I can find another route in. Maybe I should don the fluoro so I look like the mowing crew and take the Brush Cutter and cut a path into GZ!
Cheers

Hey!, Just realised as I was logging this, it's my 400th cache - Yay! Very uneventful I must say. Thanks anyway. No farmers this arvo.
I think I took the longest, prickliest path in, but I did find it! Thanks for the cache, took coin.
Last time we tried this one (about 18 months back) we overshot the mark and could not back up, this time no trouble, but the traffic sure does wiss past you... Cache found no problems, dropped in a coin.
A nice quick easy find while passing through the area. Wonder where the much needed 2nd airport will go?

First find on South West of City GCN Tour. Parked close. Found within a few minutes. Left a dollar in small change. Took Dinosaur. TFTC.
Hard to see how a second airport could ever happen now as this part of the world gets more built in and the cost of infrastructure spirals, so I think the locals are safe now! Thanks TEAM CASHO.
Parked very close to GZ and then a very short walk, however my search for this cache went well over 20mins. Again my GPS had sent me elsewhere, but in the end, I finally found it. Neat hiding spot and so close to the main road. Took basketball whistle and left a Twin Creeks golf ball. TFTH
Our last cache for the day, on our way to procure some new chook girls for the back yard. Thankfully I didn't read the earlier logs before looking for this one - if I'd read the bits about spiders I'd never have come anywhere near this one. But I didn't read about the spiders, and there were none in sight today, so there was nothing to interfere with our easy retrieval of the cache. Thanks for the cache hide .
Last one of the day. Easy find after parking 50m away and out of sight of the market gardeners. Abel A did the dirty work, whilst Abel E did her usual signing duties. TFTC

We have passed this so many times. But today we actually stopped to find it, just as the rain came down. Very surprised as to how easy it was to find, unless it hasnt been placed back where it is suppose to be. Took nothing, Left Geocoin. Cheers
Stopped in on this one on the way to Camden. Took a little while to retrieve as I had to coax a large spider to be on its way before I could grab it

Dad and daughter Sunday outing. First stop off the rank, this is one of the few areas West of Sydney that has not changed much over the years. Could of been different if the airport turned up here. Quick find.
JABs.

The area was familiar, but that's because years ago I worked at the OTC Coast Radio Receiving Station down the road at Bringelly. And if I remember correctly this was about the closest place to go to the shops if we needed to.
Arrived at GZ and something scrambled or slithered into the bushes. Hmmm, hopefully it's a lizard and not a snake. Made my way in and spotted the hide shortly afterwards. No swaps, just like no airport. Thanks Team Casho.

We sort of thought the cache would be elsewhere, but it wasn't hard to find once we'd got our ideas straight. The only problems were the long grass, and nasty prickly bushes, and the sticky beak seeds.
Didn't see any aeroplanes landing or taking off, though. Guess this must be a ghost aerodrome.

This was part of a run while in Oberon with HomeDG and SherpaNT for the Oberon event and a caching blitz in the region.
Did this on the way home and it was the last for the long weekend.

No spiky plants barred my way.
A quick retieval and log.
Good to see market gardens still thriving against the corporates.

Quick and easy, thanks to Argeisia for defending me from the clutches of the evil spiky plant
It's a pity governments don't make the tough decisions any more. This city certainly could have done with this airport. Easy find, even in the dark.
Got on the way to my cousins 1st birthday at the winery with thomas the tank engine rides TFTC
Found on our way to Vicary's Winery to see Thomas the Tank engine for our nephews first birthday. Left TB. Not exactly where I meant to leave him, but we've had him too long and it's time he moved. TFTC
Area has been mowed but the little treasure is still there, very well hidden.

I grew up in the area when the 2nd airport was all the buss as well
I think it is good that it didn't go ahead as we wouldn't have all this great

ORNITH and I enjoyed a great vacation together, traveling to New Zealand and Australia for fifteen days, and what a great time we had! As we normally do, we chose interesting caches and quite a few that involved hiking (aka "bushwacking" or "tramping") , rather than racking up a high number of caches. We found the oldest cache in Australia and the first Earthcache ever set! I was visited by a leach and we were both attacked by some black and white crows. We enjoyed rain, sunshine, empty roads, traffic jams, vegemite and meat pies. Our fancy lime-green rental car attracted quite a bit of attention, including a stop by a police officer who mistook ORNITH for another type of person........Oh, so many fun memories!
Nice place to view the rolling hillside. Not so sure it would have been a good place for the airport. No market business right now, may be the wrong time of year. I was looking for a pile of geosticks or other cover and then noticed a likely spot. Clever.
Thanks for the cache,

This was one of about 60 Caches that we Logged on our almost 2 week trip to New Zealand and Australia. We picked some of the more interesting and demanding Caches including Puzzles and Letterbox Hybrids plus 12 Earthcaches and enjoyed everyone that we tried. This Cache was picked as part of a group on our route from Canberra to Katoomba.
Thanks to all the Cachers that set the Caches that we found (And didn't 'Find'!!). Photos will be added to the Logs after everything gets accounted for, OK?
Cache On and CITO as you Cache,
ORNITH travelling with Queens Blessing (Wife) from Canby, Oregon, USA -- very near the home of the very 1st Cache ever set that is commemorated by GCGV0P and within 25 miles of 3 of the 4 Oldest Surviving Caches in the World (GC12, GC16 & GC17)!

Took a little longer than expected to find thus one. Is it a market gardner, a spikey plant or a rubber tread? TYFTC.
Nice early morning find on the way to work. Dropped off TB Green Jeep and picked up GC Mr Pete. Not much of a mountain for TB Green Jeep's view but a reasonable vantage point to survey the now forgotten airport.
After the last two caches up in the mountains this is a drive by but the area has a beauty all of its own with the market gardens and rolling hills. I found nine caches hidden by this cacher (Team Casho) up near Nundle and was surprised to find another of his caches in this area.
I have carried a coin ( Mr Pete) for at least nine thousand kilometres and had to find a cache in Sydney to allow this coin to get to the airport and then return to Germany to its owner. If you can help it would be appreciated.
Thanks Garry for placing a cache in this area, we will be heading home tomorrow (Geelong) but will be back as I have a son and his partner (Ravgal) who's eagle eye spotted this cache as Bushfire was about to stand on it.Thanks.
