Urban expansion is on the move, and a section now has been cleared along the nature strip in preparation of laying of pipes and other services. So upon checking on the cache it was clearly visible and its future in the current position was not looking good. I picked it up and must report that there was only one of the listed 3 trackables in the cache. How time fly’s when you cache as I was the FTF on the 11-05-09. Those 2 years have gone way too fast. Thanks Team Casho will organize its return to you.

05-May-11
Temporarily disabled until either a new location can be found or is archived.
Thanks to the team that contacted us and offered to pick up for us.

29-Apr-11
Would definetley try and save this one asap. Bushland near cache is starting to be dug up!!!!

22-Apr-11
Quick easy find for this one. There seems to be some surveying going on as there is lots of spraypaint on the ground and fence posts.
Not sure how long cache will be in a safe location. Perhaps there's going to be some turning lanes for Oran Park put in??

TFTC. SL.

Note to self: "Well-worn tracks" can overgrow quite quickly. "I'll come back to the car for the swaps and a pen" is a really, really stupid idea. So is "I'll just leave the cache here while I go back to the car for swaps and a pen - I'll remember where it is."
Took a little car and left Snoopy the TB (that I had for far too long only because every cache I found there for a while was a micro or nano, and try as I might, I couldn't shove Snoopy in one) and a wee badge. SL TFTC!

24-Feb-11
Quick stop besides The Northern Road and thought to myself this may be harder than first imagined, a little bit of bush but quite dense. However, many finds to this cache has made a distinctive track to the cache hide. Anyways, a neat cache with plenty of room for more items. Huge shame about the raceway gone, been there many times for the V8's and once catching some drivers having private practice. Took nothing, left mole little creature. TFTC

After Oran Park town this one was a sure thing, as it was just down the road. team Soupbones Geokid Larissa had her own GPS and wanted to have her own go at this one. Rebeccavoy who we met at the last cache as well showed up and the hunt was on. Rebecca found this one easily with us still double checking our GZ readings. Credits to Rebeccavoy.
signed log book. No trackables as stated before, though the cache site says there are 3 in here. signed log book only this time.

TFTC! Yes sad to see Oran Park gone, I have some great memories of the Holden Vs Ford days there..

Pretty easy find on our way south for the weekend, as an obvious track is developing going straight to the cache. Couldn't see any pens or pencils in the container, so I left my pen for future finders to use. Apologies for the late logging, I have been without internet access for a few days.

20-Jan-11
"Ohh no" i thought... waist high grass and thousands of stickbeak plants... do i really want to do this.
Of course i do
LOL
Geomutt bounded over the tall grasses like a jack rabbit while i tried to pick a lesser of two evils path hoping i didnt come across anything slithery.
Found the cache with no dramas and when back at the geomobile began to pick off all the stickybeaks attached to my shirt and jeans. I must have looked fairly peculiar to the passing motorists.

Grabbed geocoin left cards, like Kim said all the other trackables aren't there...

08-Aug-10
Return visit to Go Racing to see the sad sight of the empty shell of one of my favourite car racing tracks.

Dropped off brand new Team Rod & Tod w/Kaboom 2009 Geocoin to commence it's journey across the globe.

Retrieved the Saudi Arabia Geocoin.

There is no pen in the GC and ours had stopped working so our visit wasn't logged in the book.

Numerous trackables are listed as being in the GC but are absent. I will endeavour to list them as missing.

This is now a sad place to visit as we always headed out here for The Super Truck Racing -http://www.truckracing.com.au/index.html Have you ever seen a Prime mover doing a burnout? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sm4SM1pk5VI
Oh those long hot days, the smell, the noise even the taste in your mouth (ok so this was mostly dust).
This area will always be special to my family and thanks for bringing us back here one more time.
JABs.

I see that this area is about to become more built up, with land sales going on at the moment.
The cache involved a lot of long, long grass, and me stepping carefully where Mr Bunny had stepped before, but we got there.

18-Apr-10
cool container got cache and was about to leave then noticed a group of massive spiders and we all took off running eww!!

14-Apr-10
I lived in Narellan way back when I was a University Student, and Harrington Park was simply a paddock full of cows, Mt Annan was a paddock full of horses and the botanic garden was just seedlings collected and planted by one of my numerous cousins, Camden was a pleasant little country town, Narellan had about 5 small shops and there was regular racing at Oran Park. My how things change! I loved the park, what a shame. Thanks for the cache TEAM CASHO

Left: Eight Ball TB

02-Apr-10
Came from Cobbity Rd and approached the cache from the wrong side of the road, so another 4 km's later parked within metres of the GZ. Quick easy find. Initially took the wrong turn going down Cobbity Road, so had a last glimpse of the raceway before it turns to housing. Quite a shame really. TFTC, left behind a googly eyed dragonfly sticky Smile

20-Feb-10

Leaving Sydney just before lunch and going down the Great Northern and getting a few smiley faces along the way this was the first for the day.

Found this guy at 11.45 after wandering through some very tall grass but followed a trail back to the geomobile.

I am pleased to see that more cachers are using ammo containers as they are great in the bush and will stand up to a lot on wear and tear and keeps the goodies dry. Thanks Team Casho.

15-Feb-10
Found on the way to Wollongong for work.
It is always dissapointing when there is an inventory logged but nothing in the cache.

29-Oct-09
Popped by while working at nearby Smeaton Grange. And thanks for bringing me to Oran Park. I drove up to the track to have a look and was lucky to spot 4 old-fashioned type race cars (you know, the kind that look like bullet with big wheels) speeding around the track. Great! Was in office dress so had to make sure that no stickers or grass or spider webs were still on me when I got back to the office - too hard to explain!! TN Left a little pumpkin SL TFTC Cheers..........Gaztek

We like to get a variety of Caches on each of our trips and this one was one of our Caches in Australia. Thanks. We 'Found' about 60 Caches that we Logged on our almost 2 week trip to New Zealand and Australia. We picked some of the more interesting and demanding Caches including Puzzles and Letterbox Hybrids plus 12 Earthcaches and enjoyed every cache that we tried.

A quick and easy Find on our way from Canberra to Katoomba. A fair number of pretty 'hot' motorcycles were leaving the are whwn we arrived.

TFTC!

Thanks to all the Cachers that set the Caches that we found (And didn't 'Find'!!).

Cache On and CITO as you Cache,

ORNITH travelling with Queens Blessing (Wife) from Canby, Oregon, USA -- very near the home of the very 1st Cache ever set that is commemorated by GCGV0P and within 25 miles of 3 of the 4 Oldest Surviving Caches in the World (GC12, GC16 & GC17)!

11-Oct-09
ORNITH and I enjoyed a great vacation together, traveling to New Zealand and Australia for fifteen days, and what a great time we had! As we normally do, we chose interesting caches and quite a few that involved hiking (aka "bushwacking" or "tramping") , rather than racking up a high number of caches. We found the oldest cache in Australia and the first Earthcache ever set! I was visited by a leach and we were both attacked by some black and white crows. We enjoyed rain, sunshine, empty roads, traffic jams, vegemite and meat pies. Our fancy lime-green rental car attracted quite a bit of attention, including a stop by a police officer who mistook ORNITH for another type of person........Oh, so many fun memories!

Guess we might have taken the wrong approach to the cache, but we did find it. Noticed a lot of motorcycle traffic leaving the area, and they all seemed hyped-up, reving and hot-rodding. As we left, we noticed one of them had run out of gas just down the road! Oops! We also saw a law enforcement vehicle heading over to assist.

Thanks for the adventure,

Left signature items.

29-Aug-09
We were in the area so called in to do a cache check.
Well to our surprise after reading the logs thinking everything was going well we found the cache empty. It does not appear to have been muggled as it was still tucked away in its hiding place and there has been no reports by anyone, So for now untill I get items to restock, it will have to remain empty with only its log book and pen unless one of the next cachers wants to take them as well.
To all future finders (once I get a chance to restock) please play it right and if you take something please replace with something of equal value and condition otherwise I might have to do as others and only hide micro size ones and not these larger ones.
We will advise when restocked for the kids to enjoy again but may not be for about 3-4 weeks otherwise please come and enjoy the find but you will only be able to sign the log for now.
