A group of 4 of us took way too long to find this one. But eventually found it in a place we had looked a number of times before. Thanks for the hide.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 48 - Katanning to Bunbury via Kojonup, Boyup Brook, Donnybrook and Bonyanup. Yet another day that was too long and I should have split in two, but due to bookings could not. It only rained while I was trying to cache in Donnybrook. There were a few roadside caches there were a few short walks and way too many machinery caches, but I did find some of them. The day got away from me and I did not do everything on my over ambitions list. I made it to Bunbury and got set up just before dark. I did not get out for the evening, so had a nice night cooking dinner and planning my next few days while I am in Bunbury for a week.Oh dear, another big piece of equipment. With many of the options I have fund caches in on these blocked off, I started on some of the others and found it in the last one there was to look in.Thanks for the cache richlink47686.15 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2011 Lucky You A#199**Albida**
With the WA Day public holiday fast approaching, the call went out to the team to see who would be up for a day out. SirFancy, I C Nothing, and monkeywand were available to join me, and we decided to head down south towards Donnybrook. There was plenty of cache variety for the adults and a decent playground and bakery for lunch for the junior members of the team.We met up early in the day in Baldivis. With the ping of a new cache, we piled back into the cars and headed for Lakelands. After a quick find, we hit the road and headed to our caching area of operations. We started out by collecting a bunch of caches around Donnybrook before stopping for lunch and letting the kids have a run around. After lunch, we cleaned up the last few in town before winding our way through Boyanup, Dardanup, and Brunswick Junction. We arrived home just as the sun was going down, having been on the road for nearly 10 hours, covering close to 400 km, and collecting 41 finds, 5 adventure labs, and 8 DNFs.Thanks go to richlink for placing and maintaining the Traditional cache Big Red Steam Engine! for me and others to find.I added my name to the log at 11:12 on 3/6/2024.This is find number 8983 for me.
Out and about with the MICS crew (monkeywand, I C Nothing, Cirrus_WA and SirFancy plus geokids) for a roadtrip down south. Most logs signed MICS. Pretty sure this is no longer in its original hiding place but alas, it still is a wonderful steam engine.
A fun quick Cache. Beautiful area to stop while going for those long drives too.TFTC
This could have been tricky, but Mr Aquilus1 made a quick find here... he does like to see if he can find it first! I'm happy it was just found! Thanks for the cache Richlink.
Nice quick find before we headed back to Baldivis, last one of our little trip down south. Log signed and replaced as found.Thank you richlink for placing and maintaining Big Red Steam Engine! for us and others to find and enjoy!
Heading out today to do a big loop drive and knock over some LGAs. Cherry picking our caches. This one attracted our attention. Enjoyed looking at the gum trees and then we turned our attention to the big red thing. Tftc
Having finished work a big earlier we headed off for some further away targets. Seeing the fav pts and spotting the host from the highway we made the spot. Good to see the setup and imagine what once was. A look in a few spots and then made the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
We are from Holland and visit family in Donnybrook and also look for geocaches! This is one of them. Thanks for the cache!
Yay! This has had has stumped on the last4 visits, but today, persistence finally paid off. Thanks so much for this cache.
Found this one second time round! Must have been looking with my eyes closed the first time
The Cockburn Crew were out on the road to cleanup Wellington Dam in Collie. Rendezvous was 6.00am in Pinjarra, to allow us to get cracking on the day’s work early. Thanks to all the COs who placed caches for our enjoyment today. Cheers richlink!
Join me at the 10th anniversary of WAGB in Narrogin on Friday 2 June to Monday 5 June 2023. There’ll be plenty of geocaching fun to be had, I can’t wait to see you there!

Fairly quick find in the dark with torchlight! Slowly headed home after a long weekend in Denmark- on ‘geocache time’ !! Tftc
At 99 finds couldn't call it a day until I hit triple digits. So hoping for an easy one late in the arvo hollowfrog & myself are looking for a more than likely dark cache in the waning light. We almost called it quits but as luck would have it I happened to turn at the right angle & caught a glimpse of the now familiar metal tins... glad to be triumphiant. Thanks richlink for my 100th & the thrill of the hunt, most enjoyed.
Cheers R&R

Day 3 of WAGB22 week, travelled down to Bunbury with muggle geo-son, didn’t stop for any caches along the way as we had a later departure than anticipated.
Hit Burekup, Roelands, Dardanup and Donnybrook areas before heading back to Bunbury in the dark.
Messages popped up FTF were up for grabs. Managed 38 finds, 5 FTF’s and 2 DNF’s.
Thanks to the CO for their hides. Sorry about the generic log.

We bumped in to another team (De Mieper) at this one.
With a week away from work we decided to head off on a road trip for a few of those days. We were heading for Donnybrook, Yallingup and Margaret River to soak in the sights and grab a few caches along the way. This cache was one that we found on day 1 of our break away! Cheers and TFTC.

I had only one more cache to find. I drove past another cache, but too many muggles around. So on to this one.
As I pulled up a realised the nature of the search ahead. I almost got back in the car there and then. But it still looked interesting, so I ventured on.
After many minutes of searching I was thinking maybe I won’t find it.
Once more around I told myself. About three quarters of the way around I spotted something. A prod with a stick confirmed the cache was found.
Now I could relax. So I took a few photos using the setting sun to advantage, before heading home.

A quick easy find whilst out sightseeing for the day during our weeks stay in the area with Lidds and Miss Goosey.
I don't have a great track record with machinery caches but I needed a find today for my calendar, and with good fav points this was the pick. Very pleased to come up with the goods after some solid searching. Thank you for a great caching experience - I'll add another fav point.
Heading home with the geokids after a lovely stay in Bridgetown . We decided to take the long way to grab some caches that have been on our to do list. Your cache was found and is in good condition.
We met up with Everlasting here. Just as well too as she made the tricky find that has eluded us in the past. TFTC richlink
On the way to Manjimup for weekend - detour and found, signed the log and thanks

Spot used to work down here in the mid-Eighties, so it was nice to make a return visit. Incredible how many times we've driven past here and hadn't even noticed the "Big Red Steam Engine"; that's Geocaching for you. All's in prefect nick here and all replaced as found awaiting the next visitor. Thanks for a great cache richlink.
On our way home from a few days away, Autumn Owl and I found this one ... nice hide! TFTC
Heading home after a few days away put my trusty glove on and found this one after a few mins. TFTC! Love the resident Dwarf!
Not a good one to be looking for at night time using an iPhone torch. Will be back another day.
Clever hide but found. Left trackable Spider here as thought a fitting hide tftc
Thank you! Heading down south for a few days of camping. Headed to GZ and found someone else checking the structure out. Was happy to make the acquaintance of rossinperth, and we soon had the cache in hand.
Bumped into another cacher with same intention. 4 eyes certainly better than 2

Second attempt. The last time was a few years ago. This time we found it. We looked in the obvious place for a long while before seeing another option for a place to hide a cache.
Tick it off the list. So glad it was not a nano we may never have found it.
Well hidden tricky find.

Day 5 of our visit to WA for the WAGB18 event in Dunsborough. Today involves travelling to Manjimup and back to Busselton via Capel. Amazed with many different wildflowers we saw today! Many thanks to the COs who have placed and maintained their caches along the highways and byways that we will be travelling in the next week or so.
Day 5 of the trip to WA and doing a round trip from Busselton to Manjimup and Capel and back to Busselton and visiting other villages, towns and country sides on our way. Thank you to all the CO's for placing their various caches and taking us to places we may not have visited, if not for geocaching. TFTC
Suscoe was out on our last day of caching in and around the Bunbury area.
Another mild day with some threatening cloud in the morning clearing to a sunny afternoon.
We did some caching and some tourist drive things on a great day out.
Got as far as Donnybrook and admired the apples and pears, now we know where the apples that we buy at home come from.
Then back via the King tree and a few roads inbetween.
Thanks to richlink for this tricky hide, we were wondering if this would take a while but we were in luck and the hide was soon located and a great deal of time was saved.
A favourite from us.
