Thnks to all who attended this one. As we are now out of area and problems with water getting in we think it is time for this one to go and open the area for a new cache.

10-Nov-11
Re-visited this one again today. We found the muddy plastic bags mentioned in the previos log, but thought that couldn't be the cache. Now we are not sure. Won't be back until we read some favourable logs on this one.

05-Nov-11
Found acouple of muddy plastic bags under a brick. Dont know if this was it but sure looks like all that is left from the cache

05-Nov-11
The state of this case is very poor. I found it out in the open and soaked. Maintenance definitely required.

[brown]Illawarra FTF attempts[/brown]

... after Girls Games, just on the other side, this big airport. Haha, it reminds me the only time I flew Qantas from Wollongong to Melbourne: Lined up in the line, the lady at the check-in asked the guy in front of me: how are you today, how is your dog, your horse... Then on my turn, any explosives? No! Go ahead! - Oops, that was the security check? Fun! But then: Upon arrival in Melbourne, we had to make the full screening, X-rays etc, just to exit through the terminal... That's The Gong! ... Pity, they don't fly any more - parking was for free!

Passing here, as The Rats have published new interesting caches in the Illawarra, Adrenalin Addiction - Water and Illawarra Coal. FDNF on the first I am going to attempt the second right now....

19-Jun-11
This was an easy find. Saw a kestrel eating a mouse. Didn't sign the log as it was too wet.

16-Jun-11
Unfortunately the cache was full of water.
Drained it out and moved it slightly, but it will need to be dried out properly.
SL, TFTC.

07-Jun-11
Might try and get a container change at this location as it always seems to be getting full of water even with the new container that we replace befor we left.
Sorry to anyone that finds it full of water before we can get this done and thanks to those who have fixed in the past.

Our first of the day. The cache was full to the brim with water. We couldn't sign the log so left a sheet of paper with our name on instead.

22-Apr-11
Nice quick find though little more exposed than I'm sure the last finder left it.

16-Apr-11
Wow, some reminiscing happening here. I still remember many a time while playing baseball as a kid, being yelled at by either the coach or my parents for watching the model planes instead of concentrating on the game. The cache and the log is completely waterlogged though, I did write my name, but I don't know if it is going to last much longer.. May need a tune up..

16-Apr-11
Cache and log is completely water logged..

Just decided to go for a walk around Berkely whilst visting my grandmother for her 80th birthday. This was my first time geocaching on my own, and was made just that little bit more difficult without the assistance of a GPS. Needless to say, I had to make a few phone calls back to Brisbane to head me in the right direction. Thanks Team Casho for this great little hide.

Easy find, that you.

24-Feb-11
Nice and easy! Had to wait for a muggle to leave and then on to the prize.

20-Feb-11
On a visit from Canberra my son dragged me to the computer fair. In return, he got to wait while I cached. Cache was dry and in good condition. TFTC

Found and signed the log. Thanks Team Casho.

05-Feb-11
There was any aircraft flying today maybe to many thermals from the scorching hot day.I quickly
found the cache just before LimeSugarLink and did a silly little cache victory dance much to geowife
amusement. This cache was full of the blackest water so we dried it out and placed a new log sheet
inside also to put it on top of a brick hopefully when the hole fills with water this will keep it dry..TFTC.

05-Feb-11
He's right. He wasnt letting me out of his sight on this one and when PPX2 found the cache the victory dance and smirk was hillarious.
I have to admit when im out cached and yes today i was definitely out cached (some for reasons other than the lack of looking Razz) but outcached i was.
Ive never seen a cach so full of water and not much else.
This one could not have fitted any more water in it and by the look of it the water had been in it a while. YUCK!!
threw out the remnants of what looked like the last log.
dried out the container and replaced the log.
replaced the cache on a brick with the original camo on top so the cache is now not sitting on the ground. It should be high enough now so it doesn't sit in a puddle when it rains.
you might want to go back and check on it again when we have some rain.
cheers
LSL.

i came to this park to play in a recent baseball championship a few years back.
didnt know about caching then.

Log and container completely waterlogged. Unable to sign anything. Suggest owner conducts some much needed maintenance. Nice stroll in. Remember playing at fields opposite in the Australian University Games in baseball and softball. TFTC.

02-Oct-10
Vehicle access gate was closed at the stadium, but ample parking and an easy 300m stroll down the road. Found quickly in the pouring rain - too wet for any muggles but the frogs gave a healthy serenade and the cattle watched on curiously. Wink
Nice new container with nice new log, no water inside or 'special smells' now. SL, TFTC.

25-Sep-10
Found this one easily after a short walk from a nearby family dinner. Nice stroll in the fading light, lots of frogs nearby Cache log is really wet, too wet to sign. In face the container was full of water with a special smell of it's own.

Another day, another trip to Unanderra on work related matters, always a good excuse to get some caching done once work is out of the way!
This was an easy find after a drive to GZ, the gates to the said theme of the cache were locked but still some cars within.
Thanks for bringing me here TNLNBig GrinBig Grin

08-Aug-10
Found this one while killing time waiting for the kids at a birthday party

22-Jul-10
Thank you, this cache was being protected by a frog which was about one quarter of an inch long so when the next person finds this cache could they make sure to uncover it as to not squash our little protector. During the week no muggles .

27-Jun-10
We were just up the road for a basketball carnival for the weekend, so this offered a welcome relief from the whistling and shouting. Nice easy find (one of the most accurate GPS positionings I have encountered), and despite there being a few RC enthusiasts active at the time, there was no problem with muggles.
TNLN, TFTC.

A nice quick find after a netball drop off. TFTC

08-May-10
the local sports area was teaming with hundreds of young girls having a netball tournament but managed to stay out of their sight, they had their eyes on the ball in any case

Wow - maybe fastest find ever! in hand in less than 30 seconds. Signed log, noticed the contents are a bit damp - took a photo of the weird trackable doily thing - TFTC

02-May-10
There was no-one about when we arrived at GZ but after the cache was replaced there was suddlenly a car exiting the area - timing couldn't have been any better as we only just missed being sprung. TFTC.

02-May-10
no time to watch the dog fight in progress found cache and non too soon as soon as we signed log and replaced it some of the pilots start exiting the area, but all good, thanks found with Tealby, Tankengine and Marcus V, en route the the 10 Year Event

02-May-10
Found with Tealby, mtrax and Marcus Vitruvius on a mini impromptu Wollongong invasion!
Saw some planes buzzing around, but either they were way in the distance, or they were very small! Thanks for showing us this area!

15-Feb-10
This was my very first cache find, by myself. Nice simple cache to find to slowly get me into this activity of Geocaching.

30-Jan-10
Found at 18:37.

Nice easy find in a pleasant, quiet area. Had to go for a bit of a walk as the gates were closed, and it was nice to be able to walk barefoot ('cause of a hard day caching) without the fear of broken glass.

Took nothing, left Arise_Victorious Trading Card #13.

Nice area.

Went to a nearby mystery that took us to the top of a hill looking down on GZ.

Indulged Winglen with first class hand delivered “cache to the car†service.

Thanks for the cache.

29-Nov-09
A lovely sunny day by now, and another sporting facility, but my score had not moved off zero and this one didn't help - but then I positioned the car so well that I didn't leave the vehicle and McPhan and Zsazsa7 brought the cache to me to sign. I love it! Thanks Team Casho.

Found by Mary & David at 1355. Not a soul about, except for the cows, and they kept their distance. As a result, we had an easy search and find. Some thunder and lightning about, but no rain so far. Our thanks to Team Casho.

10-Nov-09
Nice little morning stroll before work.
TNLNSL

Not a soul in sight at 5pm today so we pulled into the gate area and had the cache in hand shortly after. We have driven past this area on the highway many times and seen the activities going on here and thought that looks like fun.

TFTC!!

20-Sep-09
Found at 0945. Got to GZ thinking that this was a pretty isolated road and that no one would come down here, so as I was parked at the gate, sure enough a car came down the road, and headed through the gate to the aero club. So after I waited for another three muggles to go through the gate, I was then able to grab the cache that was only five meters away.

Thanks.

13-Sep-09
There was lots of activity around here today. Kids playing sport on the ovals and the airfield was being used.
Had no problems finding it but had to use the car as a shield.

06-Sep-09
If only they were all that easy! Tbone and I snatched this one in record time. Sunday afternoon = no muggles. Perfect!

Nobody out flying today, so it was easy to search unseen. It didn't take too long before I spotted a likely spot and was rewarded with a nice find. It would have been good to see some flying.

19-Aug-09
Nice and easy cache-thanks Team Cacho

11-Aug-09
We were in the area today & given that this was the only cache around that wasn't a micro, multi or mystery, we thought that we would quickly grab it.
We have often seen the planes flying as we drive past, but have bever been into the area as such.
A quick find & no swaps were made.
Thanks for showing us the Aero Club.
Cheers.

12-Jun-09
There were lots of muggle workers working opposite the cache so we had to use extreme stealth. Luckily the planes were flying so we pretended to watch intently.

07-Jun-09
We initially tried for this on Saturday but had no luck as there was a State Netball Competition near by and thousands upon thousands of muggles. However by Sunday afternoon all of the shots and shells had died down and we were able to sneak in for an easy drive by.

Cheers

07-Jun-09
Of course the weekend that we would be seeking this cache is when the netball championships are on. And I am talking thousands of people. They even had a lane blocked off with police just to be able to let the people leave the sports grounds.
And of course there had a to be a car full of screaming teenage girls that took at least 15minute to get organised parked at the site of the cache.
Hoojar, Ding and I took a walk out to the model plane launching area and back again and they finally managed to pull away at the last second.
I didn't think it was that hard to get 4 teenagers into the car. But then again... i don't have 4 teenages, so who am I to judge Smile

Cheers.

An easy find - TFTC

28-May-09
I have often seen the planes from the highway so it was good to find out where the entrance was. A quick find late in the day. Thanks Team Casho.

27-May-09
Decided to grab this cache while there was a break in the weather. A bit of construction happening nearby but this didn't hamper our find. TFTC

27-May-09
A quick and easy find, which was good as the rain was bucketing down, so I didn't get too wet. Have often wondered how to get in here, as I haven driven past on the highway and watched the little planes fly. Thanks for the cache TEAM CASHO

A quick early morning grab.
You've just gotta love a fast find this time of the day....
Many thanks Team Casho.

On a very quit morning I thgought this shouldn't be a problem and it wasn't!
I did a quick drive by and found it in the only possible position.

22-May-09
Decided to tackle this one at night to get a run of consecutive days caching started. Could almost reach it from the car and an easy find in the darkness. My sister-in-law's father flies planes here and I must join him one day for some fun. TFTC!

21-May-09
Well this one took a while. There was 2 young blokes wandering around the area collecting mushrooms!!! Not quite sure what type, but once they saw me, they put down the box they were carrying and wandered back to their car, which parked next to mine. Cache in hand I wandered around with the GPS looking almost intelligent (well attempting). Whilst I did this they just sat in the car. So I drove up the road for 15 minutes until they finished their harvesting and then returned the cache. SL TFTC

19-May-09
Nice morning for a walk so decided to knock this one off. Thanks Team Casho.

19-May-09
With the speed at which caches are being snatched in the Wollongong area lately I thought that I didn't stand a chance of being the first to this one. I saw the notification at about 6:30am and assumed that it would be found by the time I got the kids up, organised and off to preschool. Luckily when I got to GZ at about 8:00am I was wrong. There was a car parked at GZ but it turned out to be a non cacher and within a few minutes drove away. Quickly the cache was found, my drought was broken and I enjoyed a FTF. TFTC. TNLNSL

19-May-09
Must have been about 5 minutes behind you Gribbly. Congrats on the FTF and thanks Team Casho for yet another cache. TNLNSL.

19-May-09
If only I'd gone to bed 10min later I'd have seen the notification for this one and the rest would be a different story, but alas thats caching.
I'd used this very spot when we use to have locationless caches.... Oooops I must be showing my age. Anyway I popped in here on my way home for work. Nice easy find. Thanks Team Casho
