Well worth a stroll around this lovely park, lots of history. We have given this one a favourite as its a great little hide in the theme of the park. TFTC

Apologies for the late log, we have just come back from a 10 day holiday in SA and Western Vic and spent as much time with family as possible so no time for logging lolWe are on holidays in SA and have spent the past 4 days catching up with JMelbs family in Adelaide (and only found 2 caches during those 4 days!!) Today (30/9) we checked out of our accommodation with the intention of finding some local caches then some of the Wandering Heroes caches on the way to Karoondah, our destination for the night. We had lunch at the Train Park at Tailem Bend and and then set off to do the Wandering Hero Caches, We found about 15 of the WH series but time was getting on so we decided we should make our way to Karoondah and check in to the Caravan Park. We then set off to find caches around the town of Karoondah and this was next. GMelb had to take a phonecall so I wandered around the cool Pioneer Park and then we went to find this cache together. Cache container is very broken. Unfortunately we didnt have a spare container with us. Will send a photo of the container to you. TFTC Everlasting - GJMMelb

Ahh a long weekend caching in South Australia with the Gong Gangsters is way too good an opportunity to pass up. With dates set and leave passes granted we managed a 4-day caching spree - targeting the On ya bike series. The variety of finds was wide and diverse, we travelled with our own totts. Our finds are logged with our Gangster stamp or GG on the smaller logs. Thanks to all the COs who provided us with a great weekend, filled with laughter, banter and much more that cant be said. Thanks to my fellow caching buddies - steeba, Hoojar and Wilbert.TFTC

22-Aug-24
Found with The Rats, Hoojar and Wilbert67. Another big trip some time in the making to get some good numbers. Plenty of solving and working out final coordinates, packing lists and arranging transport from New South Wales to some of the mallee country of South Australia. As always plenty of laughs and great company. As always a variety of types and hides.Unless otherwise flagged cache found all ok. Thanks for placing these series. What a cracking spot!TFTC!

22-Aug-24
The temptation of finding nearly 1,000 caches on a road trip in South Australia was proving all too tempting. So a date was set, flights were booked, and a car was hired. The Rats, Steeba, Wilbert67 and I were off to tackle the On Ya Bike series, and surrounding caches. Cache logs were either stamped, or signed GG (Gong Gangsters). We covered a great many kilometres, finding caches and enjoying the scenery. We camped under the stars. We enjoyed cold weather, rain and a winter heat wave. We cached in the dark. We cached in the light. We found some ordinary caches, and some brilliant ones.As is so often the case with our trips, the banter was constant, the jeering persistent, and the company excellent. Mind you, it is a lot easier to listen to Rugby League on the radio in the great State of New South Wales! This boiler-plate log does not take anything away from some of the excellent caches that we found, and I am appreciative of all of the cache hiders for their efforts in placing and maintaining all of these hides. We all ticked over mini Milestones during this trip, but notably I found my 20,000th cache. A Milestone I am very happy to have shared with my mates; mates that I have found thousands of caches with previously. Heres to many more caching adventures!Cheers

Having a blast with weirdobiker, Riddells and gregandjudy AKA VIC BANDITS to save space. And exploring our vast country. Really enjoying the far away horizons and this flat country that is so different to home base at higher altitudes. Im on a multi mission having headed west to the JLW event in Lameroo via Curyo so here I am chipping away at the mad 20 caches in each LGA challenge plus lots more. TFTC and the fun.

Find # 14319I'm in the Adelaide area for the Great Leap Forward event. Not just for the days event, but making it a week long trip of caching n catching up with mates.Flying solo......Day 8. Homeward-bound.Day started off with a tree climb and a big stretch off the ground. Then a bit of a look around Mt Barker. Then it was the trails. It's been a while since I've hit a long trail and being alone it was just me and the caches to fill the rest of the day in. Some power trails are tougher than others, ie parking locations and barriers can be annoying and chew up time. But happily I managed all hurdles. Even the odd orb spider that made some tracks mazes. Happily that what I'd pland out fell into place with only a couple of DNFs.End of day was a surprise with my biggest solo grab of over 300 in a day. But I have plenty more trails in SA to utilise if I want to better that score TFTC Everlasting

A quick find here after grabbing the lab. Day 13: Today we leave Hahndorf and head to the Riverlands, staying for a couple of days in Renmark. Looking forward to exploring a new area and stopping along the way. Well its holiday time again and this year we have planned a road trip East across the Nullarbor to South Australia. We will be staying in Streaky Bay, Whyalla, Hahndorf, Renmark and Clare before heading for home and making the trip west. We are looking forward to eating and drinking, exploring and visiting a swag of wonderful places. Of course it wouldnt be a holiday at all for a Geocacher without plans including a plethora of stops, deviations and distractions for all types of Geocaches. Our thanks go to all the hiders who make this game what it is. Pa and I are on the move from Pinnaroo to Karoonda. Originally I suggested a day trip out from Pinnaroo to the caches at Marama so that I could pick up another LGA. Pa noticed the Silo Art in Karoonda and so we have camped here for the night.

We arrived in time for a cuppa then took an amble up the beautiful walkway into town. After lunch I commandeered the car and set out after as many of the remaining caches around town as I could. This was one of them.

All caches were found in good condition unless a comment is made.

Borders are open (sorta) and Christmas is fast approaching so this can only mean one thing, WATBAC returns to SA to spend time with family and friends. This can also only mean one thing, that a caching day out with my geomum, Doctor Owl, was long overdue and very much needed (because apparently I am not great at finding time to go caching otherwise). So I sent a text to let Doctor Owl know that I was in town and Doctor Owl let me know that she had some maintenance to do on some of her Wandering Heroes caches. Perfect, there are a lot of them that I haven't done (in that I had previously only done about 10). So off we went...

We were in Pioneer Park for part of an Adventure Lab and some multis and I saw a traditional that I didn't have (but Doctor Owl had) so I wandered off to get it. A very cute and clever idea that seemed to make very good use of what was already there. A very interesting and nice park as well. I will endeavour to visit again at some point and have a better look around. TFTC.

Caching with the JAMS crew finding Wandering Heroes caches. We ended up finding over 300 and hiding 2 more. We replaced a lot of containers that were broken. We had a few showers of rain early which were getting us wet but they didn't last too long and it ended up being a nice day. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the caches.

Today was about reducing the remaining number of segments of “360° from home” as per Project GC. I have five segments left, all easterly of my home point in Gumeracha, and fortunately the Wandering Heroes series captures all five, but I won’t be going as far as Loxton today.

Not a Wandering Hero, but still falling within the desired ray from home. TFTC Everlasting.

We spent a couple of hours driving to Karoonda and grabbing any Wandering Heroes caches that have been published since our last visit and then completing the caches including the Lab cache around the nice little mallee town.
We loved the beautiful artwork on the silos and were very impressed by the facilities around town.
The playground and Pioneer Park are very impressive for such a small place.

After driving DPA down to, but not around, The Bend I set about finding what I could find in the surrounding area. Firstly it was off to Sherlock to finish off, again, The Great Detective series. Then north to Karoonda for the AdLab there and all Karoonda physical caches. Then down to Tailem Bend to fill in time until DPA needed picking up. Ended the day with the AdLab, 32 physical caches and no DNF's.
Thanks to Everlasting for putting out this cache for me to find

A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA. With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
Our team “The Mob” consisted of GoodLook, LíB, Rapidlywild, The Drovers, feathertop and ourselves. This team ended up being very productive and some new friendships were made. Always a bonus in my book. All logs were stamped with “The Mob” to save space and time.
After completing all the trails, we had set out to do and a couple more for good measure it was time for this mob to go its separate ways.

After deciding to bail from doing the wandering heroes we looked on the map and noticed the ROTF trail. So headed out early with Rapidlywild to see what they were like. Weather was lovely and overcast and besides gaining a passenger being a rather large huntsman at one of the caches the trail went pretty smoothly.

After finishing off the ROTF trail we meandered our way back to Loxton collecting random caches of interest.
Quick find at this one, great park of all things old.

Thanks for the hide Everlasting and for the fun Rapidlywild

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.

We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.

Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.

With the Turtle done, the PS Series done, the On Ya Bike done, the TdU & TdF done as well as the Riddlers done, our targeted caches has been accomplished. With the teams now split and it was back to FurfacesLL and myself, we had heaps to choose from. Yesterday we did some Wandering Heroes caches which were time consuming. Today we chose to head further south and do the ROTF series instead.

Picked this one up after finishing off the ROTF series. Cleaning up around the town, no issues with the find, signed and replaced.

Thanks for the hides Everlasting Big Grin And thanks FurfacesLL for a trip to remember [^].

Today fitzy_1965, two geo-kids & I moved camp from Murray Bridge to what turned out to be Renmark instead of Loxton.

Our main aim was getting to our destination with a targeted little Month trail and an old cache along the way.

All caches found quickly and easily unless otherwise stated.

Will definitely need to come back here to have a proper look around some time.

23,096. Found with minniek during our Post-Christmas escape to South Australia.

This trip to South Australia was on again off again due to the changing circumstances in the various states we had to travel through. Finally getting a green light from all 3 states we headed off early boxing day. Day 12 of our adventures took us from Murray Bridge to Renmark - caching along the way cherry picking on the Wandering Heroes series and completing the OTD May series. All caches were found quickly and in good order unless otherwise stated. Next find of the day. A quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, and then headed off to the next one.

Thanks Everlasting !!
