After a couple of "Gone AWOL" and quite a few DNF, Checked today and CO couldn't find it either. I think it has run it's race, and should now go to the great cache hide in the sky.

29-Feb-16
While my car was being serviced I decided to do a few caches. I searched everywhere and for ages but couldn't find it. I will keep an eye on it in case I was cache blind.

20-Feb-16
Did not find it. Very over grown.

14-Dec-15
Still could not find it, searched the roots of the tree, clambered up the rocks, poked things with sticks, not a peep.

Any clues?

30-Nov-15
Found it. I knew it would not be simple as many people could not find it, but once I brushed the spider webs out of my hair and poked about a bit, it showed itself in the torchlight beam. Not too difficult really. Cache in good Condition.. Thanks. As I was walking away in the dark, I stepped on a piece of wood with a nail which stuck in my foot. Hmmm, trip to chemist for some antibiotic cream so it does not get infected.

Smilie #2616

Way too many green spots, on our map, around Ipswich so we set out today to convert a few more to Smilies! Smile

Nice quick find.
First to sign the new log! LOL ...

31-Jul-15
Cache replaced. All ready to be found again.

31-Jul-15
Dropped by today. The cache certainly seems to have gone AWOL. Replaced with a new container and log book in a slightly higher position to keep it out of moisture, hopefully. Otherwise within about 1 metre of previous location.

13-Jul-15
George will be unable to check this one for a couple of weeks. Probably check by about early August.

The geo kids had lots of fun climbing up down and around this tree while I searched. Some care needed as there is glass etc. TFTC

29-Jun-14
Found with goldielover this morning. Out this way and spotted this quite near us. a little detour and we soon had another smiley face. Nice pleasant walk on a great day.

29-Jun-14
Found with stairman1. The dog certainly made his presence known as we walked to GZ. Quick find. Must continue down the path another day. Thanks George Montague

26-Jun-14
Nearly left this one. Looked high and low for this one. Glad I have friends in low places! Left a guitar pick!

25-May-14
TFTC. Thankfully it was quiet as it took a lot of searching high and low. Stuck with the latter and eventually found.

21-Apr-14
So many hiding spots! Had a good search of all of them before finally finding the cache. Coords are spot on

13-Feb-14
Have visited here once before and dnf'd. Upon coming back here, oh no not this one, anyway today was a relatively quick find, why did I not see that last time? Oh well just happy to another off the dnf list. Tftc

29-Jan-14
Found after a bit of pondering what should and shouldn't be where it is. Lots of hidie holes but alas the cache wasn't in any of them. Spotted muggles coming along the path so retreated to the safety of the car. Muggles disappeared a block away so went back to get the cache. The co-ordinates were spot on for once. While signing the log with the utmost discretion, I got a message which is anounced by a loud flourishing fanfare. There was mention in a previous post about the dog - it is still there to anounce your arrival at the pathway that has been built along the former rail link to Mt Crosby weir. Cache is in good condition.

27-Jan-14
A lot of hiding Places - but only one is right!

Great news... ! Neighbouring Dog is alive and well. He is in fine voice and response well to the usual slightest noise coming from over his fence. He says hello to all previous cachers !!! Today I joined his list of 'Most Wanted'

On approaching the GZ I was somewhat captivated by the history of this part of Ipswich. Thanks George Montague for the history lesson. Your efforts didn't go to waste.

Back to the task at hand. This had me staring at a myriad of hide possibilities. Now, exactly what did the CO have in mind when they were contemplating the hide.?? Hmm, discrete, perverse, insultingly obvious (see curve ball), lack of imagination, over-imagination... and my paranoid list goes on. All these voices in my head ...

There was one handy pointer in the logs but I'm not here to spoil.

Container and contents all in good order. Log book every so slightly damp but not damaged. Plakky bag dry and container in great order.

TFTC George Montague Smile

28-Aug-13
Out for my cache of the day. Took a bit of searching I found it eventually.

27-Aug-13
Found after a bit of a scrabble about. Some dampness in container but log was OK. Thanks George Montague

04-Aug-13
We enjoy these local history lessons.
Inside the cache was quite wet but the log book was fine.
Thanks heaps.

20-Apr-13
Looked at the obvious places but just couldn't see it. The neighbouring dog was barking away and I didn't want to hang around for too long.

12-Apr-13
George managed a quick visit today, bringing a new log book in a new zip-lock bag.
Please leave only small swaps, as the container won't seal water out if it is over-full.

03-Apr-13
Found it.. soaking wet. Put a new piece of paper in it to write username... fix iiiit!

03-Apr-13
George will try to get down to Ipswich in the next week or so, and fix this up. Thanks for the notice.

03-Apr-13
Found with xxcookiebooxx. Nice hide, took a little while, only one muggle on a bike. Put a scrap of paper in a matchbox to sign our names until cache can get looked at. Thanks for the cache Smile

28-Feb-13
If it were a snake I would be on the path dead hahaha.. Really nice area but it does need a bit of TLC it is pretty wet signed the log tftc..

24-Feb-13
At one stage thought we were not going to find this but ManicWombat managed to lay his hands on the prize. TFTC George.

24-Feb-13
Was roped to into help with an extra set of eyes on this one. After poking and peering and prodding around with no luck we checked the logs and had another go. Just about to leave when one last check produced the the missing prize. A easy find when you know where it is. TFTC

24-Feb-13
My third attempt at this one. I brought along a couple of other cachers to assist me in converting this one to a smilieSmile After around five minutes of the same old frustration I stumbled on it. Not sure how I missed it before, perhaps I was looking a little too high up. Very pleased to get this find. TFTC George Big Grin

05-Jan-13
Had a short stroll but abandoned attempt due to resident muggles fixing fence immediately above GZ. Had no excuses to be there...took fake call from wifey and departed...another day maybe!

so many place to look, but we found it. TFTC

01-Sep-12
Third attempt however I had to cut it short due to muggles

30-Aug-12
Interesting information about the path. We walked up to GZ - Ahh.. a rock wall, what a surprise!
With three of us looking we eventually came up with the good.
Thanks, Robmc.

30-Aug-12
# 1167. It seems we were lucky to find this one without PAF options. Maybe 3 of us searching got us over the line here. Certainly by the end of this trip we were not fond of seeing Banyan trees anywhere near GZ. They gave us the heebie jeebies. And stone walls, ditto. However, we did find, log our visit and retreat. TFTC

30-Aug-12
It was interesting reading the past logs on this one. At times today we wished we had a local PAF option but we didn't of course.
Found eventually to relief all round
Logged in the company of Robmc and BettyBoo, all from Victoria

This was our second go at this one, with so many hiding holes, this was a hard one...
but we got there....

16-Jul-12
Argh was seconds away from walking away from this one again. Determined not to be beaten conducted final search on way out and lo and behold! The thing that makes me chuckle about this cache is that in any other environment it would be the first place we would look but due to the many many MANY decoy hiding places we feel so certain it will be somewhere less pedestrian! Had fun as usual so many TFTC!

13-Jul-12
Today it was Friday the 13th and why not spend it having good luck and finding caches with Captain Terror and Whint and Bad Dal. We were finishing off our maps of Ipswich and we all had this one left. After a PAF we had it in our hands. Thanks for the cache

13-Jul-12
Out in the Ipswich area today with Captain Terror & Net88 - this one had foiled the others before so we headed off to GZ hoping to snag the goods this time around... so many places for a cache to hide... one of us hit the top... and two down the bottom... a PAF was eventually used and soon the cache was in hand in quite an obvious hiding place after all that.. always the way!

tftc

13-Jul-12
Second attempt at this one today and this time was with Whint and Net88 for the hunt. After a short walk in, started poking all about GZ and anyone who has been there knows there is a lot of places to look. after some time and no luck the mighty PAF was employed and with a vital hint, a bend in the back and a digging stick, the cache was finally found. It was a fair way down and needed some excavation. Added our names and rehid. TFTC George Montague, glad to have this one sorted out Smile

09-Jul-12
after to 2 gos at this one and looking top to bottom and left to right, still havent come up with anything.... so i have to make up a DNF

Tried locating this one with geohubby and geobub this afternoon, but there were too many muggle children around.

GZ looks like a real play area for the kids that live near by. If we had the opportunity to find the cache we were going to leave our very first TB inside, but after seeing the kids climbing their sudo cubby house, we have thought better of it - I don't think this cache will stay un-muggled for long and we would be so disappointed if our TB went missing!

Will try again some other day, perhaps on a week day when these little mites are in school!

23-May-12
Out and about today grabbing a few caches. Smile
The CO says it is here so I am going to find it. Razz I searched left, I searched right, I searched high, I searched low but eventually I did find it. Such a simple place to hide a cache. Razz
Thanks for the cache, all dry inside.

22-Apr-12
Searched after dark with torches with previously mentioned dog barking at us. Performed a reasonable search of both sides. Maybe the difficulty level needs a raise on this one? We shall be back. Smile

14-Apr-12
Happened to be in Ipswich today, so wandered past this one, and it is still there. As noted there are lots of possible places, and lots of leaf litter.

13-Apr-12
I best be a sport and log my DNF. Was with Iolanthe, Brother Colin and Net 88 and had a good hunt around the area. Evidently not good enough. Thanks for confirming it there GM Smile Next time I guess.

13-Apr-12
No smiley for this one Sad looked with bro co captain terror and Iolanthek.after a while we had to move on

18-Mar-12
We stopped by for a look as we were passing through. The noisy dog that lives nearby made us feel uncomfortable. We searched high and low and even widened our search to the other side of the path, with no joy. Hope we have better luck next time. Cheers.

10-Mar-12
spent ages looking for this one, even read a few logs before looking, but sadly could not find it

26-Feb-12
DNF Sad there are so many hiding holes in the area. Sure i went over everyone multiple times but probably missed the one with the prize. Will need to come back another day with a fresh set of eyes. TFTH

Nice n fast with Geodad. Although the log is certainly able to be written on, there is a bit of moisture starting to get in. TFTC!

26-Jan-12
Got this one finally, Thanks for clearing it as still being here. My gps and also my iphone had us searching on the wrong side last time and again this time. Today there were a lot of mozzies again and despite my gps having us looking on one side I really wanted to check the other side, so we did. After a few minutes of scurrying around and trying to be quick because of the mozzies and heat of the day, Hubby started to climb to check above and I found it, in a hiding place that was obvious afterwards. The cache was about 6 metres from my GPS's GZ. TNLNSL.

Sad Sad to say we could not find this one.

Wandered along the path today, and can report the cache is still there.
Apologies for not checking sooner back in November as promised. [B)]

28-Nov-11
No luck for me today. scratched around everywhere, found LOADS of creapy crawlies

16-Oct-11
I'm unable to visit the cache for a couple of weeks. Will check early in November to see if it's still there.

15-Oct-11
Looked again during middle of day with muggle friend... Did not find the container after extensive look at both levels. Undergrowth is a bit high so it is hard to tell... It might be taken

08-Oct-11
Seems that it rains every cache I looks for... Will have to try agian watch out for muggles

05-Oct-11
Late logging this one because I have obviously overlooked it, and just realised that it hadn't been logged when checking the map.

I found this cache on the way to dinner with amelia and co., when I was asked if I had done it, and then it was suggested that we detour so that I could do it.

I remember that caz'n'kab were the ones that had found it last, so this date is about the time that I found it.

sorry for the late logging

Nice little area. Might come back to do the walk. Muggles forced us to pack up quickly and re-hide cache. Left a pencil as there wasn't one.

01-Oct-11
The last cache in Ipswich for us, so on our way to Wivenhoe we stopped in to turn it into a smiley Smile

A fairly quick find once we bent our backs, and the logbook was quickly signed Smile

Friday night in Ipswich...unfamiliar area...raining lightly...pitch black...(thank goodness for iPhone torch app)...perfect time to go hunting. Torchlight all over the wall revealed one scary thing after another... spiders, lizards, canetoads!
I nearly gave up but persisted and was rewarded with the old "slightly too much camo" indicators pointing the way. Happily picked up the Nut TB and although I was glad to get out of there, I must say it was a memorable experience all up. TFTC George M! [8)]

14-Aug-11
Checked the cache today. It is still there, hidden, with no sign of any avalanche nearby.
