I suspect the cache is still there, just to much leaf litter and rocks that all look the same. So I am archiving this one.
Tftc. Looked for a while but no go.
Left when I found blood infusion kits on the ground. Not good.

Did not find it! After spending too long looking in all the obvious places I did not find it! Maybe there are just too many leaves to see the hiding spot. Anyway TFTC, maybe I will try again before I leave Darwin. Cheers!
Having had to stop the other day due to the rain, we were back for "unfinished business". Have been across the bridge many times, but not seen from below!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Showing off geocaching to a geocolleague today and we headed for this one, on approach we saw the nearby structure and assumed we had approached from the incorrect angle and would therefore be unable to make the find, however once closer saw that GZ was not where we originally thought, and after a bit of bush whacking, soon had CIH - no thanks to the mozzies though! Cheers (find number 5 of 7 in the area today).
A quick find with iluvtrekking while enjoying the walk through the gardens. Thanks Beagle Team,
No luck here.
Saturday afternoon and very quiet so I was able to have a good look around uninterrupted.
Found a couple of discarded street swags and a bag of clothing nearby so I'm left to wonder if someone has 'muggled' the container?
Hope not!
Cheers.

Another great day caching around Darwin, we went for a bike ride in the Botanical Gardens.
Found this one well out of the way, not too hard to get to.
Thanks for the cache, Beagle Team.

Third cache of the afternoon leaving me tantalizingly close but yet so far from the magic 300. TFTC
This was our 5th cache find in the caching run & we found it at 11:36
So this now makes our total find count 6855.

Another wonderful day in Darwin. The cache raid today was a random start point followed by a string of caches selected, in most cases, by the "next closest" method.
We started to attempt this cache from "Curlew Corner" but were pretty sure that wandering through the school was not kosher.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (Around 2 metres).
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Grabbed: The trackable from the cache. ("Lightning McQueen")
Thanks Beagle Team for the hunt today.

Bikes again today. A ride down to the Botanical Gardens and back with Bettyboo3747.
At first we thought we needed to be on the walkway and couldn't see how you get there. Fortunately, the GPSr took us to a patch of rocks nearby. A quick find in the shade of a good sized container.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 3590. Back on the bicycles for a 4th day of caching and sight-seeing around town. It turned out to be an 8 hour day on the bikes with 15 smilies and 3 DNF's.
Some interesting information on the cache page and having read that I now know why we only saw a lot of school children crossing here today. We headed into the shade and soon had the cache in hand. TN, Left: A Car TB that wanted to visit Darwin. TFTC

This area made me sweat even more than I was already sweating since arriving in Darwin a few hours prior. As a reasonably young female, this is not an area in which I felt safe. I was relieved to spot the cache so I could get out of there; especially as the sun was starting to set. Thanks for the cache.
Quick find on my cycle round the Botanic Gardens this morning. Nice sized container.... took nothing, left nothing.

Luckily we had found the cache and were back on the path when we heard voices above. TFTC.
Another cache that I had a DNF on last time. Today I saw a likely spot as I approached GZ and there it was! If only........
I like this sized cache. Plenty of room for stuff! I dont like the green ants that bit me as I was searching for the cache! Note: Dont brush up against the trees!
I had a bit of trouble with this one until I started thinking logically. Where would a big one be? TFTC Beagle Team
Geonanna waited at the bottom for this one and luckily my GPSr took me straight to the cache. A very interesting area a lovely stroll through the gardens this morning. TFTC Beagle Team.
WanderingAus wandered back on day 41 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, after dropping the WanderingMrs at the bus stop for the free Casino bus, I headed off for a day of caching with a small bit of waymarking thrown in.
I knew this one had a trackable in it, so I swung by, grabbed Honeymoon New Zealand (TB4KG5K), and dropped Syracuse Serendipity #2 (TB21FGM).

Bit of a scramble to/fro but worth it for the large container

As we started the hunt for this one we came to realize that we had actually already found it on the 13/3/11 and some how missed logging it ... So will finally have a smiley in the map for this one now TFTC
Came to look around the botanic gardens and look for a few caches. Coordinates were on target, just took a little looking to find. Interesting story about the bridge.
I was tempted to search under the bridge. And I start doing it...
When I realesed it was not in there was easy to find.

Not a problem to find this one despite the smugglers up on the bridge.
Thank you for the cache and greetings from Portugal.
Thank you for the cache and greetings from Portugal.
Having just arrived to take up residence in Darwin, we are rationing out caches to find as the total number of caches around Darwin are what we normally find in less than half a year .
We have a couple of TBs brought up from down south so looked for a nice large cache to put them in. Took a little while to find. Went to the top of the hill rubbing shoulders with the green ants (luckily they didn't bite straight away and could be brushed off). Went back down a couple of meters or so and soon found the nice big cache.
Left 2xTBs

Had some problems digging this one out until I realised I was attacking it from the wrong end.
WOW - what a walkway is right.
Tried to locate the cache but was a little unnerved being by myself and climbing the rocks, etc.
Hope to go back later with KiKeKi during my visit to Darwin.

Found at 4.40pm GAFF1. Went through some grass on the way to the cache and ended up with scores of burrs that wouldn't come off easily. The cache was found quickly and it just depended on the right angle to view the location. We then made the mistake of walking along the walkway to get back to the garden - big mistake!
Thanks Beagle Team.
Thanks Beagle Team.
Walked up through the gardens and then took the walkway across to our next cache.
A nice hide - and what a walkway!

Got a little lost but eventually found it .... Nice place to camp but no one home today TFTC
An enjoyable walk and we enjoyed reading the background to the walkway. TNLN. Thanks Beagle Team

Aborted this hunt without a great deal of a look - the kids from the school seemed to enjoy our presence so we wandered away for the last trad GZ for the Gardens...
Next time perhaps...

came here from the Cheesy cache nearby and bumped into the school so had to navigate around it to get to the bridge, and I must say its impressive, a pity only kids get to use it. took a bit of searching but found cointain, the area looks like a bit of a dumping ground but thanks for the view of the bridge.
dropped off Cache Critter coin

This is a rather well-hidden cache. It is in an obvious place, but there are many "obvious" places around there.
what a way to see the gardens I saw more of the gardens today than I have ever done. Found by Na natimi TFTC
Found as a part of Team SaintsMadHouse and now that the kids have grown we each have our own accounts to finddd geocaches with separately wherever we go!Found with DBanksy. Came in from the harder approach, not a wise move. Took ages longer then if we had taken another approach

Had a good look , could not come up with it , waiting for a snake to jump out , lots of rocks
Found ok while dodgeing the muggles on the freeway above. Thx Team Beagle for the cache, never ventured here before.
This was our second last find for the day and a bit of work trying to find the best approach to come at the cache from as there where plenty of junior "Muggles" aimlessly hanging around at the top of the cache on the reverse side of the slope - a little patience and they left and we moved in! Took Dora The Explorer - Left a cool Airplane toy - Signed Log TFTC!
What an interesting location. And what's this - rocks! - Don't see many of them in Darwin, just those fancy trees with millions of roots! Luckily Canberra has millions of rocks, and I am quite aquinted with hunting caches in them, so found it quickly. Thanks again Beaglehound.
What a nice nature strip in the middle of a suburban school. The walkway is impressive, but below looks like an overflow from the Botanic gardens nearby, just lovely! The cache spot ios pretty cool, too!

Found in lovely cooling tropical rain - used the bridge as an umbrella to sign the log without getting it wet. No muggles in the rain!
This is the third cache in the gardens Stevo and I did today. Great to be back geocach'n!
He logged the cache while I was looking out for muggles ... there were none, but about 1000 mozzies eating me in stead!

Nice one. I go biking hear all the time nice to do a bit of mud slinging today
A bit of a scramble, but not too hard. A rapidly approaching thunder storm (a) upset the GPS, and (b) made us hurry up! Thanks Beagle Team.
The GPS had me running in circles for 10 minutes before I found the real GZ. Luckily nobody was in that part of the park so I didn't have to worry about muggles. TFTC Beagle Team. TNLNSL. [234]
The vines near GZ are fierce. The sweat dripping down my legs made the stinging worse. A least the cache was found. TFTC
A quick find while on the phone to the tyre place letting me know my gar was ready to be picked up. T Golf Ball L some TAZOS, T4TC
Found at 1015. Found while attending a conference up here in Darwin. A quick find in an out of the way spot in the gardens. Didn't make the conection to the walk way until I spotted the name on a sign post. Cache OK and dry. TFTC.
This cache we did together with Struppi & Strolch during our short stay in Darwin. We enjoyed the walk through the wonderful botanic garden.
Thanks for placing the cache.

I was with iTreasureHunt who found it whilst Geomum sat on another park bench in the shade. I was impressed with iTreasureHunt's skills in finding this one so quickly. He was amazing. TFTH TNLN
Found it with iTreasureHunt2 whilst Geomum sat on another park bench in the shade. This cache was in unexpected terain compared to the rest of the Botanical Gardens. Luckily we headed straight to it and returned to Geomum as quick as we could because our caching time for today was up. J was impressed with my skills in finding this one so quickly. I felt like a hero. TFTH TNLN
After leaving the Prado at the Irish windscreen repairer I did a spot of caching in the Botanical
Gardens. I must be Irish as well as I put down tomorrows date on the ones I found. 09 09 09.
No luck with this one as there were workers nearby who seemed to be settled in.

Thanks for the cache. There were quite a few sand flies so didn't spend much time. Took ''Hilo Hattie'' TB and left a golf ball
2nd time lucky. Approached it from a different direction today and my GPS took me to a spot 25 metres to the left of where I looked last time. Found it easily once I was in the right area. Lesson to remember for the future. Took the Geocoin to pass on. SL.
Came down from the top - found nothing. Re-read the logs so went down the hill and climbed back up. Still couldn't find it. Perhaps another day.
2:37 pm - I was quite surprised as I approached from the side and heard a questioning voice from the scrub, "Geocaching?".
It was great to meet Wayfinder Zukon from Canada via Afghanistan and swap notes and stories. I grabbed Cordillera coin and we went our separate ways. Wayfinder Zukon I hope your tour here and there stays safe. Cheers.

My first attempt was an ascent from below. At one point I came into view of a school matron on the walkway, so I quietly left, not wanting to give away the cache or startle the locals. The second attempt I came at it from above. Not recommended. Once you're at ground zero it's obvious that the best approach is from below. I dropped a travel bug and a geocoin and as I was finishing up the paperwork I heard footsteps on the gravel, first to the east, then approaching. Nothing to do but call out "Hello. Geocaching?" It was fellow cacher Alex, up from Adelaide. Nice to meet you Alex! We compared notes on the day's caching and Alex gave me a bit of help with Damn These Gardens.
The cache and log book are in excellent condition. Thanks!
