Our trans-pacific cruise from Seattle to Sydney on the ms Oosterdam dropped anchor in the bay and we were tendered to the beach. Although there was not a lot to entertain for everyone, there was a walk to the church and a lot of the tourists took the hike up the hill. Gosshawk and myself detached ourselves from the throng and wandered down the path towards the cache.

It didn't take long to locate the cache and then we heard the voices of approaching muggles. A quick hide of the cache as they passed by. They probably wondered what 2 adult males were doing sitting amongst the trees. they soon disappeared further down the path and we signed the logbook and replaced cache. I took out a TB and left another.

Thanks for bringing us to this lovely spot.

Here from Canada just for the day. Drove the entire BEAUTIFUL island. Finding the cache here was a real bonus. What a view from the top. Got a little confused by the description saying don't go beyond the rock as we kind of had to but NOT beyond toward the water for sure. Dropped off 2 travel bugs that flew across the Pacific with us and picked up two that we will take back to Canada for placing there. Thanks for bringing us up this hill today.

As we continued in our travels, we made our way up to this one Smile No muggles about, so we set forth in from the sheltered lookout Smile

A great view from GZ, and a nice walk in to GZ Big Grin

Arrived into the harbor on the Rahpsody of the Seas and had a quick look around the little village. This time my father joined me for the hunt as we walked up to GZ with all the other fellow cruisers we enjoyed the glimpse of the water and the views. We arrived at the church but it was closed due to maintenance but the views were great and we knew were not far in fact 30mts so we off to the cache we go as we left the group I glanced back and saw a couple people looking at and you could tell that they were thinking were are they going? Any way not far down and we were out of site so my father kept "saying are we there yet"!!! I should have just given him the GPSr but we got within 2mts and started our search with the time now slipping away I really wanted my father to find it but the Terrain ratting was tell me a different story so I went down to what we called the next level and found it straight away.My Father quickly came down and around to see what I had found with a look on his face of Oh you found It! Oh is that what all this is about??? Any way we checked out the contents and filled out the paper work and Rntd safe.
Thanks so much for this cache we had a great time checking out the rest of the Easo and the people were very friendly.
Its a Favorite from me
Oh and the little drink stall halfway along the track had nice cold beer so it was even better...Cool

Spent the morning snokeling in the bay with the family then came up here before returning to the ship. Such a beautiful place! Not a hard walk up the hill but just so hot and humid so another swim was needed when back at the beach.
Left a TB and geocoin.
MAny thanks

Aboard the RCCL Radiance of the Seas. Found with no GPS, only the printed log, as we could not find our GPS to bring along. TFTC. SL. We left our 2 camping travel bugs that are on a race back to our home state in the USA. Will post pics when we get home!

Found in the company of eight muggles off the same ship as us. We had no option but we converted them all to geocaching anyway. They did not follow me to GZ. Nice hide in a stunning location. A guy with us who had researched the restoration of the church (only partially completed) said that just short of 1 million dollars of aid for the work disappeared into thin air hence the uncompleted job.

2198km NE of home and I got to log my first international find! Spending the day on Lifou while on Pacific Jewel cruise, caching duties completed under the guise of visiting the lookout and church (pity it was still a construction zone). Surrounded by a million butterflies and swimming with a turtle, was a great way to spend (the day after) my birthday! Took Raven TB and left copy of ship’s daily paper.

Excellent directions to find this one. After a tour to the Cliffs of Jokin we went up the hill to see the church and the wonderful view.
Took nothing, but left a pair o' dice in paradise.
TFTC Cheers, CSCat.

Stopped here on our cruise aboard the Pacific Dawn from Brisbane.
Curch being rebuilt so unable to enter.
What a stunning spot to snorkle - the best of our three stops for the trip - highly recomended.
Finally found the cache tucked away, TNLN.
Thanks MarcLW.

Found this on a trip to Lifou on the Pacific Pearl and walked to the church with Joe. Took some pics of the beautiful church. Cache is ok a little bit of water but the book is great. Lots of humidity and the bugs in the bush had a field day with us after this but we went back to the beach for some snorkeling and touring - lovely island. -TB + coin TFTC
